RightFax VM not taking inbound calls
I know I am not going to provide a whole lot of info since there is so much to post so I thought I would lay out what works and what doesn't in hopes someone can guide me to solution.
We have a current physical RF (RightFax) with a tech line coming straight into it avoiding CUCM.
I have (with help) virtualized the RF and have it going thought the CUCM 8.6 through a 2901 voice router
I can dial out through an existing PRI. I have added a new PRI to accept incoming calls and this is where I am stuck. Internally I can set up a four-digit extension...say 2901...and get to the RF virtual server. I pointed the DID to the new PRI and get the below results but the call rings not allocated:

When the DID was pointed (mistakenly by the Telcom) to our local PRI, it actually worked but not to our new PRI. The settings mirror each other on the two PRIs to boot. Same Telcom and everything.
The internal ext works but not the full number.
Anyone have any thoughts on where I should look?
THANKS!!!
Ok - so the call is routed into the network and then when you assign it to a route pattern, which is used to route the call to the RightFax server, the call fails. In that case, you will need to look at the H323 integration between RightFax and CUCM. First, you'll need to make sure that the versions are compatible. There are some gotchas when using H323 between CUCM and RightFax just as there are gotchas if you use SIP between CUCM and RightFax. Personally, I'd try the SIP integration over H.323 but it's not that one is inherently better than the other. You need to make sure that you configure the CUCM side based on the latest RightFax integration guide. You also have to make sure that the RightFax is configured appropriately as well. It needs to 1) be configured to accept calls from the CUCM via either SIP or H323 and 2) have the fax DIDs (or abbreviated extensions - whatever you use) configured so it can process the call as well.

SIP Trunk not accepting inbound calls
I have a CME setup using Engin as a SIP provider
I am able to dial out with no issue, however my inbound calls do not work, they divert to the Engin voicemail
My SIP registration is OK and the number is configured as the primary DN on one of my phones

Phone busy/not taking calls
My Xperia Z2 seems to be busy and not taking calls every once in a while, I hear people complaining my phone has been busy while they try to call me even tho it shouln't be. Its possible that this happens when the phone is recharging. Anyone else have the same problem or knows what I can do?
Try settings-apps-all-smart connect, clear data.Check if the same occurs.

Looking for note taking software to use with a graphics tablet
Hello folks,
I am trying to find a software that would allow me to interchangably use typing and writing/drawing on a graphics tablet smoothly.
I'm looking for something that would essentially provide a 'blank sheet of lined-paper' where i can quickly type what my professors are saying, as well as easily draw whatever they are drawing. Also, since I am studying engineering, I would need something that I can easily write math symbols and equations so I can use it as scratch paper.
At the same time, I am looking to save trees and money, as well as keep organized and simplicity when it comes to archiving.
I have tried Microsoft Word 2008's notebook view, and this is currently the closest thing to what I want, but it favors mostly the text side of what I want (of course), and isn't very good in the drawing part. It also isn't very smooth when I try to do practice math/physics/engineering problems on it, nor is it very good at drawing molecular structures (O-Chem)... but for the most part, it gets the job done. It is also a headache because when you zoom in a lot to make it easier to write (mind you, I am using a tiny macbook screen..), the title bar also zooms in, and ends up taking half of the screen, making zooming in practically useless. (the title bar is also locked, so even as you scroll down, it stays in the top half.)
I have also tried Adobe Acrobat Professional 7, where I simply made a blank notebook from some image online, and I use it as scratch paper. When it comes to drawing, it is very smooth, but it's a headache sometimes, because after writing something and pausing for a second or two, the pen tool automatically becomes a 'selector' tool, and so if i want to draw over what I previously wrote, it changes to selector and instead of writing over, it drags and drops the object around a bit. The tolerance for that is really high too, and i'd have to bring the pointer about half an inch or so before I can start writing something again. I also haven't given the text a try yet, but it lets me make collapseable text boxes, so that is good for further annotating my equations and drawings, but isn't very useful for a full-lecture class (i.e. biology)
I also don't even want to consider photoshop, because it's basically too powerful, and I don't want my laptop fans going off in-class (its SUPER loud when it happens...) and I need it to last the day.
So just a sum up:
I'm looking for a good note-taking software (for mac) that will allow me to smoothly use my graphics tablet AND be able to type.
MS Word '08 and Adobe Acrobat are close... but aren't quite to what I want exactly...
I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet and an '09 Intel-based MacBook.
Thank you in advance!I have had this same issue and found this program called NoteBook that allows you to type, and draw (write) notes on a variety of paper types, (lined, graphing, engineering, etc.) and it uses the .nb file type that allows you to save multiple "pages" inside one file in a sort-of "notebook" if you will. It works great, but has several minor disadvantages. I can't change the ink color, I can't change the tip thickness (other than the pressure sensitive option with my wacom graphics tablet), and it doesn't allow you to open pdfs or other documents to inscribe upon. All around though it has been wonderful. There are really no good note taking apps out there...

Group Policy - User Rights Assignments not taking effect on workstation`
Novell 5.1 SP7. ZenWorks 3.2 sp3. Windows XP Pro workstations.
In Group Policy, (Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security
Settings/Local Policies/User Rights Assignment), I have added Power Users to
the "Load and Unload device drivers" policy. However this setting is not
taking effect on my Windows XP workstations. My DLU policy for users is
configured to have the users members of the "Users" and "Power Users" groups
on the local PC.
Other parts of Group Policy (Computer Policy/Administrative Templates) are
taking effect on the workstation, so I'm wondering if the problem I am
having is related to Security Settings only.
I enabled Group Policy logging on the Windows XP workstation and include it

Having a single internal hard drive overfilled (drives slow as they fill) is very likely contributing to your problems, but IMO "my Aperture library being on the same internal Tera byte drive as my operating system" is very unlikely to be contributing to your problems. In fact the Library should stay on an underfilled (roughly, for speed, I would call ~half full "underfilled") internal drive, not on the Drobo.
Instead build a Referenced-Masters workflow with the Library and OS on an internal drive, Masters on the Drobo, OS 10.6.8 (there have been issues reported with OS 10.7 Lion). Keep Vault backup of the Library on the Drobo, and of course back up all Drobo data off site.
No matter what you do with i/o your C2D Mac is not a strong box for Aperture performance. If you want to really rock Aperture move to one of the better 2011 Sandy Bridge Macs, install 8 GB or more of RAM and build a Referenced-Masters workflow with the Library and OS on an internal solid state drive (SSD).
Personally I would prefer investing in a Thunderbolt RAID rather than in a Drobo but each individual makes his/her own network speed/cost decisions. The Drobo should work OK for referenced Masters even though i/o is limited by the Firewire connection.
Do not forget the need for off site backup. And I suggest that in the process of moving to your new setup it is most important to get the data safely and redundantly copied and generally best to disregard how long it may take.

Debugging inbound call - need debug command
I am debugging what I believe to be a dial plan issue on PGW but want to run a debug command on the ITP to show the actual called number of the inbound call.
What is the best debug command to use to see the inbound called and calling numbers of a call. You are better off capturing an mdl trace from the PGW using per call tracing or using snoop and opening the call in Wireshark.
The ITP will only dump hex values and you will need to decode them yourself since it is not concerned with ISUP layer. You can use the cs7 paklog feature to attach an access list to a linkset and then send the raw data to a syslog server for decoding.
For example:
cs7 paklog x.x.x.x dest-port xxxx src-port yyyy
access-list 2700 instance x permit si all
debug cs7 mtp3 paklog 2700 -
My skype to go number does not take incoming calls
No matter what phone you call from (U.S. landline, various cell carriers, U.K.) you get a message "You have reached a non-working number. Announcement: 14 Switch 1, 8 dash 3."
I have plenty of credit in my account, and can make outgoing calls. But neither my computer when signed in or my stand alone skype phone (IPEVO) when signed in take incoming calls. Do I blame Microsoft?
Either way, it would be nice if someone could help me trouble shoot so we could receive calls again.Hello,
A SkypeToGo # is the # you call to set up STG calls to your contacts. It's not designed to receive inbound calls which is why you are receiving that message.
To receive inbound calls you require a Skype OnLine #.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac
If my advice helped to fix your issue please mark it as a solution to help others.
Please note that I generally don't respond to unsolicited Private Messages. Thank you. -
My Ipad will show all regular inbound calls, from Iphone, as Facetime calls. I would like only TRUE facetime calls to appear. I have switched audio/video on Ipad but it still happens. How can I set the Ipad to only register only true FT calls rather than all inbound calls that a re not facetime calls? Yes, you may have to reread this twice and slowly to understand..... Thanks!
Hi webn,
I understand that you do not wish to see phone calls on your iPad anymore. I have an article for you with some information on accomplishing this goal:
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT6337
Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone cellular calls on your iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.
On your Mac, open the FaceTime app and go to FaceTime > Preferences. Click Settings and deselect the iPhone Cellular Calls option.
Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

L_s_range-low not taking leading zeros
Getting a value of '01111' from a source.
Want to add the leading zeros of '00001' to '01111' to become '0000101111' and assign that to l_s_range-low.
Tried CONVERSION_ALPHA EXIT_INPUT but there are too many zeros added.
Tried translate, shift , and type N, but not get the leading zeros to populated onto the selection criteria screen for the field.
Trying to use the source value to convert it to a profit center with leading zeros.
Regular ABAP seems to add the leading zeros when WRITE, but l_s_range-low is not taking the leading zeros and displaying it on the selection criteria screen.
How to populate leading zeros values for l_s_range-low?VAL001 = '00001'
VAL999 = '99999'
LOOP AT itab1.
VALUE1 = itab1-field. -
> field has '01234' always start with a zero.
CONCATENATE VAL001 VALUE1 INTO VALUE3.
CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT'
EXPORTING
INPUT = VALUE3
IMPORTING
OUTPUT = VALUE3 .
L_S_RANGE-LOW = VALUE3.
CONCATENATE VAL999 VALUE1 INTO L_S_RANGE-HIGH .
L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'BT'.
APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
ENDLOOP.
Created a variable for 0PROFIT_CTR.
Profit Center is CHAR 10.
when running the query, Selection criteria screen has omitted 0 and only display 1234 for the low. -
Inbound calls getting answered automatically in Cisco CME
Hi All....
Please advise me the reason, why the inbound calls to CME got answered automatically.?
I am mentioning the call handling scenario here with..
Trunk Type : FXO
Connection PLAR to physical extension(200)
timeouts call-disconnect 1
timeouts wait-release 1
voice-port 0/0/0
trunk-group FXO
cptone AE
timeouts call-disconnect 1
timeouts wait-release 1
connection plar 200
caller-id enable
More over I tried with the below configuration also!!!!!!!!!!!! Bad luck !!
voice class custom-cptone UAE-TONE
dualtone disconnect
frequency 400
cadence 400 350 225 525
voice-port 0/1/0
supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call
supervisory custom-cptone UAE-TONE
timeouts call-disconnect 1
timeouts wait-release 1
dial-peer voice 202 pots
incoming called-number .
direct-inward-dialThe command connection plar 200 under voice port 0/0/0 directs the H323 gateway to automatically answer the inbound call on that FXO port and to attempt to transfer the call to DN 200.
If that is not what you want, then you need to remove the connection plar command and replace it with the command "secondary dialtone" -
HI.
I'm running CME on a 2851.
My issue is with inbound calls not failing totally, but then requiring the extension to be dialed. This only happens for calls where the calling number is unknown.
So all calls inbound work if the inbound calling number is known. Calls route nicely.
If the calling number is unknown the caller gets a tone, whereby they need to then dial the extension.
Ideally I'd like to have unknown calling numbers simply route the call the same way as with a known calling number.
FYI when i debug q931 caller id (if off) is shown as Calling Party Number i = 0x00A3, N/A
Appreciate any help as this is causing some problems!!!
Configuration attachedTimothy,
When the calls come in, a dial-peer match is made, and in this case, where the calling number is known, the dial-peer whose destination-pattern command matches the calling number is selected, and the call is routed.
For calls where the calling number is not available, there is no dial-peer matched, so the default dial-peer (dial-peer 0) is used, and two stage dialing is then required.
To resolve, a quick solution would be to create a new dial-peer that has the incoming called-number command (which matches on the called number), so that this dial-peer will always be used for all incoming calls regardless of whether the calling number is available or not.
Use the direct-inward-dial command as well in this dial-peer to force one stage dialing.
dial-peer voice 90 pots
incoming called-number .
direct-inward-dial
port 0/0/0:15.
