Ringtone is not working

it looks like that since the new update my second ringtone is not working any more. I have a special ringtone for my wife calling me but ist is silent. Only vibration is working. It's an iPhone 4S. I made my own ringtones, but it also does not work with the original tones.

It sounds like your phone is not ringing when it is locked. From what you're describing it sounds like you may have Do Not Disturb configured to only allow the phone to ring when the phone is unlocked. In the settings is where you can configure this:
To make changes to your Do Not Disturb settings, tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.

Text messages ringtones are not working in the Storm Two

Device: Storm Two running OS version 5.0.0.713 on the Verizon Wireless network.
Recently, I upgraded from a Storm One to a Storm Two because of a multitude of issues with the Storm One; not enough memory, constant lock-ups; dropped calls, etc. On the Storm One I had customer ringtones for contacts; so when a contact calls me the phone will sound a specific ringtone for that contact; the same for text messages from that contact. Now that I have the Storm Two the text message tones for the contacts are not working. In fact, even when I select a ringtone for text messages for a contact the phone will ring the generic ringtone that comes with the phone. If I go into the sound profile and change the generic ringtone to one of my own and the contact sends me a text/sms message the phone will ring the ringtone that I selected in the profile that is being used at the time. This is not the way it worked on the Storm One. On the Storm One; if I have a specific ringtone for the contact and that contact sends me a text message it will sound the text messages tone for that contact. These ringtones have worked for previous devices including my Treo and Palm devices. The ringtone files worked well in the previous Storm One.
So to make a long story short; I want to know why my text message ringtones are not working as designed/setup-up. If a contact calls me the phone will sound the ringtone for that contact; but if that same contact text me it will not ring the ringtone for the contact. This is annoying and I am at my wits end trying to find out why this is not working.

Field separator is for separating the fields.That means it will effect every field in the node.
But end separator is not like that.It will apply at the end ofall fields of a node.It will effect node not a field.
according to ur scenario if u use data.endseparator 'nl',output will come like this

Ringtone sounds not working correctly

I don't know what happened to the ringtone sounds on my iPhone 3gs. I'm wondering if there's something wrong in the settings.

What does "not working correctly" mean?
Is the silent switch on?

Default ringtones do not work

All of my iPhone's default ringtones do not play now. By doesn't play, I mean no sound is emitted when the phone's ringing or when selecting in the settings menu. My custom ringtones work fine. What should I do?

Try resetting your iPhone. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
If that doesn't work, then try to reset all settings. To reset settings, Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. Note: This will reset all settings. No data or media will be deleted.
If that still doesn't work, you can try restoring the iPhone using iTunes. To restore, connect the iPhone to your computer. When it appears in the Source list, click on Restore in the Summary tab. Note: This will delete all media and data. All settings will be reset as well. If possible, sync iPhone with iTunes before restoring to back up your most recent settings.

Samsung Charge: ringtone notification not working for email

I have had my Charge for about a month, and really like it. However, I cannot get a ringtone notification to work for email. I've followed the steps in guide- what suggestions do you have? Thanks.

We can help you resolve your ringtone concerns. We do need some more details about your issue. What difficulty are you having in assigning the ringtone? Does it give you an error when you try to pick the ringtone, or does it allow you to assign it but when the phone rings doesn't work?
What have you tried? Have you pulled out the battery? Have you tried another ringtone? Are these stock ringtones or are they downloaded?
Please reply with some more details, and I'm sure we'll get you on a path to resolution.

Ringtones will not work - need help!

Ok, so assuming I have done everything right, here is my problem. I have ringtones I downloaded. I set my phone to a special ring tone and I set a contact to have a different ring tone.
When my phone rings from that contact it does not ring with the tone I specified, only the main ring tone I set for my phone.
In my options it says that it will use the ring tone for all calls except important calls and the call from my contact.
I got on the phone with BB tech support at Verizon who had me re-verify how I set my ring tones, and then even had my reset my phone. The phone will still only recognize the one ring tone. It will not ruse the ring tone I set for a particular contact. They think my phone may be defective.
Does anyone know of a setting that may need to be changed somewhere else to get this to work? It should be very easy to get a ring tone to work, but I also know there are so many sub menus and settings on this phone maybe there is another step.
Can some one help?

Ringtone sound not working

I just purchased this phone not a week ago, then this problem cropped up. I can't get sound for either my ringer, or notifications. I tried various volume settings, different ringtones, but it didn't solve the problem. Then I attempted a hard reboot, but that hadn't solved the issue either. Anyone have any ideas for a possible solution?

It happened to me with my new tour within the first 3 weeks I owned the phone so they gave me a new phone. When it happened again with the new phone ( now beyond the 30 day trial period) a tech at the store removed the battery for a while then put it back in. It worked. The phone rebooted. It has happened one other time since october. He said he never heard of this problem which must have been bull. Others have advised to make sure you keep the phone off every once in a while ANd to make sure and do the monthly software update .(I have verizon.)

Ringtone Maker not working after iTunes update!

Ringtone Maker was a great app to use for ringtones on iTunes, however, after the iTunes update a few days ago it doesn't work. Anyone know where there is another app or a way you can make ringtones from your iTunes Library? I don't know where else to look because most of the videos on youtube are from before the upgrade.

I figured it out! It still works, just have to do a different way!
Connect your iphone to your computer
You still have to save the files to your computer.
Save the files to your iTunes ON YOUR COMPUTER
Open "Tones" on our computer iTunes
Select the ringtones you want
*drag the songs a little to the righta bar on the right should open up
*drop the songs to you device
(Just updated to IOS 7, took me a while to figure how to get my ringtones back)

IPhone Ringtones Will not Work

I bought three songs from iTunes and created three ring tones from them. Once I had created them, I attempted to sync them all into my iPhone but none worked, It informed me that my computer was unauthorized and I needed to authorize it by clicking on store and going to authorize computer (store > authorize computer). I proceeded by doing as instructed and then I synced it once again. When I did this, only one of my ring tones was synced over and the other two were not. A pop-up occurred that said "some of the items in the iTunes library, including "believe" (one of the songs I chose to be my ring tone) "were not copied to the iPhone, 'Darren's iPhone' because you are not authorized to play them on this computer." Then it gave me the same command to go to store and authorize my computer once again, only this time, it was saying two items instead of three items were not synced to my iPhone.
Any help?

I found this information on another forum and it worked for me... Try renaming the ring tone to a shorter name.

My custom set ringtones are not working

Just recently my custom set ringtones for someone have stopped working and instead the basic tones I have set for the phone are being used instead. I recently synced my phone to itunes with the back up assistant and this happened after that. How do I fix that?

Have you checked these two points?
1. Is the ringtone still set in the contact info in Contacts/Phone?
2. Is the ringtone still available on the iPhone?
If one is no just restore (1. select the tone again, 2. sync the ringtone again)

Buy Ringtones Button Not Working

Once I've chosen the section of the song I want (which is allowed to be a ringtone) and I hit "Buy" the lower window grays out, then it goes back to normal, and it doesn't buy it.
I've clicked buy over and over again and it still won't buy it.
Any ideas?

Having the phone plugged in doesn't fix it. Like the original poster said hitting the buy button greys it out for a second then nothing. If I highlight the song I want and go to Store then hit "create ringtone" it opens the custom ringtone area as normal and when I hit buy I actually get a popup saying "Are you sure you want to purchase this selction of ringtone without previewing it?" Even though I previewed it. I clk yes and still nothing. Slightly frustrating since I just bought the phone and that was one of the features I was looking forward to using.

Assigned ringtones not working

I have a 3gs (AT&T). Assigning a specific ringtone (whether custom or default with the phone) does not work. I have created a custom ringtone and can choose is as the default for all calls and it works fine as do any of the ringtones listed under sounds. I just cannot successfully assign a specific ringtone to a specific contact. Have reset; checked for duplicates; scoured the internet and found nothing that works. The phone software is current. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I found that the Task Manager by Rhythm Software was responsible for causing this problem. I removed the Task Manager and restarted my phone, and now I do not have a problem with assigned ringtones.

Ringtone not working

On my new Iphone 4S my custom ringtones will not work when assigned to a contact, the ring always rings through to the Marimba default ringtone.
