Router is restricting the applet from functioning

hello sir,
Router is not permitting the applet to connect to the server.
Is it possible to overcome this problem by means of coding or
i have change the setting of the router only.

Router is not permitting the applet to connect to the server.Presuming the "server" is a web server, to which port does your applet need to connect? Is the connection being blocked on the applet side or the server side? If on the applet side, is it blocking the out-going (applet "request"), or the in-coming (server "response"), packets, or both? If the "server" is not a web server, can a web server be used as a "proxy" on the server side? If so, does it support servlets or (*blech* :) CGI? All of these questions represent issues that may be causing the "blockage" as well as possible solutions...
Is it possible to overcome this problem by means of coding or Yes... "maybe". Depends on the answers to the above questions.
i have change the setting of the router only.If the blocking router is client-side, then this is almost "assured" to resolve the issue - though, of course, it can also "open up" new ones... ;)

If the images are exactly the same size then make sure the layer with the mask
is the active layer and in the other documents go to Select>Load Selection and choose
your document with the layer mask under Source document and under channel choose the layer mask.
After the selection loads press the layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers panel.

Hi Anish,
This can be achieved through the roles and authorization.
This can be done through the basis team. they can create user profiles and roles.
For the roles they assign some transaction codes so that they can view the only assigned tr. codes.
Like that ur requirement can be done.
Also u can prevent the user to change any fields in the sales order screen (VA02). for that please modify the authorisations.

Clear the applet from cache

Hello,
I use the following html code to open my signed java applet.
<APPLET CODE="Applet.class" ARCHIVE="applet.jar" WIDTH=100 HEIGHT=100>However if I make some changes into the applet code and open the HTML file in the browser, I see that the applet is being picked up from the applet cache. Thus if users have caching enabled on their systems they will not be able to retrieve the new version that I have made.
Is there a way to trigger the browser to download not to use the applet from the cache whenever an updated copy is available on the server.
I need this fix for IE, Mozilla, Netscape..

Hello,
the easiest solution (for me, at least, it was): when you want to reload an applet type x in the java console (it openes when you load the applet; if it doesn't open you may find it in the icons bar at the bottom of your screen) and then reload the applet

The utility menu will ultimately calls to PU00 so it doesnt matter , system wont allow him to delet.

1) There is an its parameter you add in transaction SICF in the webgui service. It is something like ~noheaderokcode.

I have some screens developed in Webdynpro ABAP and all these have been linked to Portal as pages. In Portal If i click on the link in detailed navigation i can see the corresponding screen on the right side. Now in one screen i have to input some data and submit the data, Now my problem is if i enter some data and before submitting the data if i click on any other link in the detailed navigation, that corresponding screen is opening and all the data of the previous screen is lost.
Can any one suggest me, how can i restrict the user from accessing other screens before submitting the data of that screen from portal perspective.

The pages can be restricted from the user access by using the ACL permission or you can restrict the page by making invisible in navigation area which you do not want to show to the user . Open the page properties and select navigation category in the drop down and select the Invisible in navigation area property to yes.By default this property is No.Change the property for all pcd pages which want to hide from user access.

The bottom line is that I'll stay away from apple, because they basically make it so the devices control you, and you don't control the devices. I've even jail broken to try and fix this. I need my USB drives to work as they have many folders. Formatting doesn't work, so it is definetly down to the software and it's restrictions.

The camera connection kit is to be used to connect a camera or an SD card and transfer photos/video. You can't fault them for something that happened to work and doesn't any longer. There are drives like the seagate available if you need access to extra storage

How to Restrict the users from changing the Default variant of report.

Hello everybody,
The requirement is to restrict the users to save and overwrite the default layout variant (Layout for higher managenet)set for the report, but at the same time they should be able to change and save the other layouts for which they are having access.
I have written the logic in the program which is working fine for all the scenario when we execute the report. But the logic doesnt work if the user is selecting the layout on the output screen of the report.
for e.g if the user runs the report using the layout varaint for which he is having the authorization then he gets the all 4 options so he then he can select the layout for which he is not authorized and he can overwrite.
i have debugged and check as i have found that after the report output is shown all the layout paramater is controllled by the statndard SAP objects.
Can anyone help me out in this issue.

As you mentioned for your own program, you can control the parameter "I_SAVE", when calling "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY".
so already i have use the same logic and control the parameter through I_SAVE and here i am calling method ALV_GRID->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY instead of "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY".
and it works fine when we execute the report but the logic doesnt work when the user tries to change and save the layout variant on the output screen of the report.

Restricting the Data from the Controller to the BSP

Hi All,
I have a requierment wherein i need to restrict the data that is passed from the controller to the view.
The Scenarion is this !!!
For succession planning and Erec a list of Qualificaitions are displayed for the user to choose from.
SAP uses a standard Catalog SAP_ERECRUITING which contains a list of Qualificaiton. This Catalog is maintained in the view V_T77QC_VIEW.
It uses the same Catalog SAP_ERECRUITING for both Succession Plannin and Erec.
For Sucession Planning the BSP Application is HRSCP_REQ_MNT. The Controller class makes use of the method GET_QUALI_CAT_COMPLETE to get this list.
I need to restrict the list such that it picks up the Qualifications that are maintained in a Custom View rather than SAP_ERECRUITING.
How do i accomplish this?
Goin for Implicit Enhancements is one solution that i could think of. Is there any other BADI or User Exit that does this?
Any input on this is much appreciated.

Yes!
This particualar method is not the method of the Controller class. It is a series of calls to a method in the standard Class CL_HRRCF_QUALIFICATION.ie.
The Controller class of the page calls the method get_qualis which in turn calls the method get_quali_cat_complete of a different class (which is used else where also) where this particular view is set. So i guess having an additional parameter wont work. Hope i am making sense to you. If i am not understood please let me know i shall elaborate the scenario.

if i use odbc drive for crystal report and i am able to see other schema owner
objects
like ctxsys,dmsys,mdsys
even though it is coming from Public schema i try
revoke select on all_users from public;
it did not help
pls give me some solution how to avoid this

I'm not following you. What I suggested was (let's say it uses all_tables):
- create a local view called all_tables
- filter in that view anything you don't want to see

Should I use time capsule as router, or use the one from ISP?

I have a Sagecom wireless modem/router provided by my ISP (Bell). I currently have Time Capsule set as a bridge on my network and connects directly to my modem by ethernet. Would there be any advantage to using my Time Capsule as my wireless router instead of my Sagecom modem?
Would it have more range, or be faster, or backup faster?

I have the latest 3TB time capsule (got it about 3 weeks ago). I will admit I have no info on the Sagecom router. I did a Google search and found almost nothing. That being said, this is what I got from my network info:

Is it possible to restrict the user from opening the WSDL page in a browser

The user should be able to send requests to the webservice, but not be able to view the wsdl file in the browser. How can we do this in Weblogic 10 ? is this configurable ?
We need to do this because, the webservice is going to be exposed to the outside world and we don't want everyone to be able to see the WSDL.

I don't know how to do that, but I would advise against relying on an architecture where you have to hide the WSDL to provide security. That's an illusion. If you fully expose the WSDL and then implement proper security mechanisms, even BASIC Auth under HTTPS, your service will be more secure than with a hidden WSDL.
