Many browsers don't render empty cells. Put a 1px by 1px
transparent

• New detail rows not showing

Hi,
Here's a little background on my problem. We have a simple master-detail hierarchy. Both have a ViewObject. The problem lies in the fact that our detail VO has a filter using a bind variable. The bind variable value is determined (most of the time) at the VO execution time: bindParametersForCollection is overriden and passes a value for the bind variable if it is null. In our specific case the variable represents the username of the authenticated user.
The main complexity lies in the UI. We present all the masters and their children in a single table in edit mode. We are using a tree binding with an accessor from the master node to the child node.
Example
Row 1: Master 1 Column 1 | Master 1 Column 2 | Master 1 Detail 1 Column 1 | Master 1 Detail 1 Column 2
| Master 1 Detail 2 Column 1 | Master 1 Detail 2 Column 2
| Master 1 Detail 3 Column 1 | Master 1 Detail 3 Column 2
Row 2: Master 2 Column 1 | Master 2 Column 2 | Master 2 Detail 1 Column 1 | Master 2 Detail 1 Column 2
| Master 2 Detail 2 Column 1 | Master 2 Detail 2 Column 2
| Master 2 Detail 3 Column 1 | Master 2 Detail 3 Column 2
Row 3: Master 3 Column 1 | Master 3 Column 2 | Master 3 Detail 1 Column 1 | Master 3 Detail 1 Column 2
| Master 3 Detail 2 Column 1 | Master 3 Detail 2 Column 2
| Master 3 Detail 3 Column 1 | Master 3 Detail 3 Column 2Everything works until we try to create new rows. In our use case, whenever we create a new master row, we also create a fixed number of detail rows. The number of detail rows depends on the context. Whenever we do this, the details rows do not show up in the UI.
In my experimentations, I found that the problem was caused by the bind variable on the detail VO. Tracing the detail VO query execution I came to the conclusion that unposted rows where rejected from the QueryCollection when there’s a bind variable. The debugger shows that in VO#executeQueryForCollection the QueryCollection#mUnpostedRows list is empty when there’s a bind variable while it is not when there’re no bind variable.
This is a major issue in our case, so I would like to know if you consider this as a bug (in my opinion it is). If yes, when can we expect a fix or workaround? Otherwise we’ll have to get around this problem by either finding a way to remove the bind variable OR do everything manually in a managed bean (which I would prefer not to have to do).
I have reproduced the problem in a SRDemo test case. Test case has been sent to Steve Muench.
Thanx!
Olivier

This looks very similar to Bug# 6412612 "New Row Lost After Executequery In Vo W/ Bind Variable In Where Clause", reported in the Tech Preview #2 release, and fixed in Tech Preview #3 (due out before the end of December 2007). Will try confirming with an in-house TP3 build that this fix fixes your testcase, too.

• Hierarchy node in query rows not showing values in report

Hi sdn
I'm taking hierarchy node on rows and some plan and actual values on columns but i'm unable to get values in the report for only plan values
How did I reconcile the values whether that value is available in hierarchy or corresponding value's for plan data is available in the cube,pls give me clues
rubane

Hi,
Could you please share the steps you have taken to fix the problem?
We do have a similar problem and for some reason the newly added hierarchy node for 0Profit_ctr is not showing up in the variable selection screen F4 (input selection for query execution). However we can see this node when we display that hierarchy in RSA1. I did try applying the changes recommened by Jerome but unfortunately it didn't work.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Krish

• Front Row not showing playlists

On my MacBook I have my playlists in iTunes in folders. In Front Row all the folders show up under playlists, and when selected they show the playlists in them, EXCEPT for the first folder of playlists - it lists all the songs in all the playlists within that folder instead.
Anyone else had this problem? Any solution?

I have this same problem. My guess is that everyone does, whether they know it or not.
My 'workaround' is to create a folder with a name that will make it always first, and put in some playlists that you don't care are not displayed in sub-playlists in Front Row.
I know, weak workaround, but at least the folders that do matter will show up properly.
Was hoping latest Front Row update (1.3) would fix this, but problem still there.

• "Mission Control" does not show space row and I cannot add a new space (27 inch screen)

Firstly, "Mission Control" does not show upper row with spaces. I have configured Dashboard as space, but it is not showed either.
Second, I cannot add a new space because the upper right corner wont show an empty space.
In system I have configured (Mission Control) the upper right corner as "mission control".
I do run a 27-inch screen

I'm having the exact same problem. I have a Macbook Pro that I connect to a 27inch iMac through the mini display port. Whenever I attempt to launch Mission control to move a program to a different space, the "Spaces" dont appear at the top of the screen. Is anyone have an answer for this?
Also, does anyone know of a 3rd party program to bring "Spaces" back? That was my #1 favorite thing of Snow Leopard, and I need to get that functionality back.
Thanks

• ALV not showing all the rows! Please help!

Hi Experts,
I have webdynpro ALV report and I am using SALV_WD_TABLE as the reusable component. In component controller's WDDOINIT I have written the code for pulling teh data from R/3 table and binding it to ALV table.
In the view's WDDOMODIFYVIEW event I have written the following code to get subtotal and grand total of Qty column based on product column.
I have coded like this:
lr_field_settings ?= l_value.
lr_field = lr_field_settings->get_field( 'PRODUCT' ).
lr_field->if_salv_wd_sort~set_group_aggregation_allowed( ABAP_TRUE ).
lr_field->if_salv_wd_sort~create_sort_rule( ).
l_sortrule = lr_field->if_salv_wd_sort~GET_SORT_RULE( ).
l_sortrule->set_sort_order( if_salv_wd_c_sort=>sort_order_ascending ).
l_sortrule->set_group_aggregation( ABAP_TRUE ).
*...Aggregate Field PRODUCT
lr_field = lr_field_settings->get_field( 'QTY' ).
lr_field->if_salv_wd_aggr~create_aggr_rule( ).
lr_aggr_rule = lr_field->if_salv_wd_aggr~get_aggr_rule( ).
lr_aggr_rule->set_aggregation_type( if_salv_wd_c_aggregation=>aggrtype_total ).
It is working now but my ALV table is not showing all the rows. I have 6 products and it is showing from product 2. But it is calculating grand total and subtotal correctly. I am not able to see the first product row and subtotal for that. Even if I click on the ^ icon in the ALV table below it is not showing all the rows.
What could be the problem?
Please help
Thanks
Gopal

did you somehow manage to set the "first visible row" property on table object
to 2. Only thing I can think of that could cause this effect.
Cheers

• VO got executed but is not showing the rows on the page the first time

Hi, Below are my senario:
I have one jspx which contain a panel tab and 2 tabs inside it: tab A and tab B, under each tab is its own taskflow, jsff page, and its own AM and datacontrol also.
tab A have a table
tab b have a table with search panel. The view criteria that used to generate the search panel is not check "Run Automatically"
What I am trying to do is in tab A, user can select some rows and click one button, then below action happen:
1. the id of the selected rows will be pass to a AM method of tab B as string that separated by comma, and this AM method will execute the VO that the table of Tab B is based on
2. set tab b disclosure to be true to show tab B
3. The row that selected in Tab a will be shown in the table of tab b
Below are the code in the AM of tab b, it is exposed to client and it will be invoked by the button actionlistener of Tab A from the bean:
public void applyDashbaordViewCriteria(String listOfPS) {
if (listOfPS != null) {
PullSequenceSetupVOImpl psvo = this.getPullSequenceSetupVO2();
ViewCriteria vc = psvo.createViewCriteria();
vc.setName("PSDashboardVC");
ViewCriteriaRow vcRow = vc.createViewCriteriaRow();
ViewCriteriaItem vcItem =
vcRow.ensureCriteriaItem(PullSequenceSetupVORowImpl.PULLSEQUENCEID);
vcItem.setOperator(JboCompOper.OPER_IN);
vcItem.getValues().get(0).setValue(listOfPS);
vc.add(vcRow);
psvo.applyViewCriteria(vc);
psvo.executeQuery();
However my issue here is:
Whenever the first time entering the page, which will show tab A, I select some rows in the table and click the button, AM got executed correctly and before it leave above code, VO executed and row count is correctly match with what user selected in Tab A. However, the rows in the vo is not showing in tab B. Table in tab B show no rows.
Workaround for the issue:
If first time entering the page, I go to tab B first, without doing anything then come back to tab A, select some rows and click the button again, then this time, the row I selected start showing in the table of Tab B.
So my question is, how can I solved this issue to make the selected rows show in tab B without going to tab B to load the page first? Is that something to do with datacontrol scope?
I am using Jdev 11.1.1.3.0
Thanks.

Hi, now I think i know what is the root cause:
I overide executeQueryForCollection and executeQuery method in the VOImpl that table of Tab B is based on. And I notice the following:
Even when select row in tab A and click the button to call AM method to apply the view criteria and execute the query to return some row, when tab b loading the first time, I notice executeQueryForCollection is being fired again and invoked by executeEmptyRowSet.
It looks to me that even thought before the page load, VO already executed and have some row, somehow when ADF load the page, it will empty all the rows in the VO. And also since I have a query panel which I uncheck the Query Automatically. So even my applied view criteria still there, but VO will not get re executed again and show the result.
I think that is why this issue is happening. And also, that is why if I navigate to tab B first and come back to Tab A, now perform the same action, the selected rows start showing on the page.
Anybody can help me how can I resolved this issue? And also, I don't want to check the "Query Automatically" of the view criteria that I used to genreate the search panel because it may impact the performance.

• DataTemplate Not showing data but showing correct amount of rows

I just started using Datatemplates to convert our Answers Reports over to Publisher. Basicly I am using the direct SQL to BI Server method.
Copy the SQL from the advanced SQL field in BI Answers.
Place new SQL in DataTemplate
Construct DataStructure
It seems to be getting the proper amount of rows but none of the data is shown. I have checked the data multiple times for spelling errors and other simple items but I can't find it. It seems to be making a connection just fine but it does not show and value in the data elements. It just returns 6 empty rows.
Example XML Attached:
<dataTemplate name="FiveDayCo" defaultPackage="" dataSourceRef="OracleRPD">
<properties>
<property name="include_parameters" value="true"/>
<property name="include_null_Element" value="true"/>
<property name="include_rowsettag" value="false"/>
<property name="scalable_mode" value="off"/>
<property name="db_fetch_size" value="300"/>
</properties>
<parameters/>
<lexicals/>
<dataQuery>
<sqlStatement name="COOR" >SELECT "- Correspondence"."% 5 Day Correspondence Response Time" saw_0, '90%' saw_1, "- Correspondence"."% 5 Day Correspondence Response Time"-90 saw_2, "- Correspondence Details"."Correspondence Type" saw_3 FROM Finance WHERE ("- Correspondence Details"."Correspondence Type" IN ('Customer Service', 'Routine', 'Undeliverable', 'Privacy')) AND ("Business Unit"."Business Unit ID" = 6.00) AND ("- Record Details"."Record Type" = 'CORE') AND ("- Correspondence Details"."Correspondence Status" <> 'Closed') AND (("- Primary Expected Completed Date"."Primary Expected Year" = cast (YEAR( date '2010-07-01') as char(4)) ) AND ("- Primary Expected Completed Date"."Primary Expected Calendar Month" = MONTH( date '2010-07-01'))) ORDER BY saw_1, saw_3</sqlStatement>
</dataQuery>
<dataStructure>
<group name="Coorespondence" source="COOR" >
<element name="FiveDayCoorespondenceTime" source="saw_0" function=""/>
<element name="KPIValue" source="saw_1" function=""/>
<element name="Variance" source="saw_2" function=""/>
<element name="CoorespondenceType" source="saw_3" function=""/>
</group>
</dataStructure>
</dataTemplate>

A few things to check. Does the sql by itself return data?
Also, do you need the following: <dataTemplate name="FiveDayCo" defaultPackage="" dataSourceRef="OracleRPD"> ? If a package is not used/necessary, remove the reference.
The following tag should be enough.
<dataTemplate name="FiveDayCo">
Your datastructure code should be: (for element name use value (instead of source = ) and I removed function syntax since you didn't specify any function like sum, average)
<dataStructure>
<group name="Coorespondence" source="COOR" >
<element name="FiveDayCoorespondenceTime" value="saw_0" function=""/>
<element name="KPIValue" value="saw_1"/>
<element name="Variance" value="saw_2"/>
<element name="CoorespondenceType" value="saw_3"/>
</group>
</dataStructure>
For a good data template reference, check out the following: http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2009/06/data_template_progression.html
Hope that helps!

• JTable Problem (table does not show rows and columns)

Hi All,
What the table is suppose to do.
- Load information from a database
- put all the values in the first column
- in the second column put combobox (cell editor with numbers 1-12)
- the 3rd column put another combobox for something else
- the 4th column uses checkbox as an edit
The number of rows of the table should be equal to the number of

I hope you don't expect us to read hundreds of lines of unformatted code? Use the "formatting tags" when you post.
Why are you creating your own TableModel? It looks to me like the DefaultTableModel will store you data. Learn how to use JTable with its DefaultTableModel first. Then if you determine that DefaultTableModel doesn't provide the required functionality you can write your own model.

• Media not showing in Front Row

I'm new to mac and just bought a macbook. There is probably an easy solution to this, but when i use Front Row, my TV Shows and Music Videos are not showing up. It says that I do not have any TV Shows in my iTunes Library. But obiviously i do.
How do I get them to show up??

It all depends where your saving your iTunes is saving its media (. i used to have problems with this but since I dont use iTunes for movies anymore I just put all of them directly into my movies folder and things work beautifully now.
P.S. File type is very important as well. I had some problems with .avi's and wmv's iTunes doesnt play nicely with others.

• InsertRow does not show the inserted row on the view

hello:
The code below works well and shows the row on the view when added. However, when there are several existing rows and I have to scroll to next pages. an insert button on that page does not show the new Row at all. Is there a way for me to see the row even if I scroll over to the last page and try an insert?
ViewObject myVO = this.getMyView();
Row newRow = myVO.createRow();
newRow.setAttribute("Id", myId);
myO.insertRow(newRow);
Thanks

Hi,
I also have problems with code above for inserting a new row.
When I insert a new row in a table and click on column header (to change sorting), that row (and any other new row before committing) disappears from table. And if I commit that table (without missing row), the missing row reappears with next refresh.
Selection in that table (using SelectOne component with Autosubmit=true) also doesn't work with new rows (with existing rows it works fine). Selection allways sticks on first inserted row!
Something weird is happening here...
Please help.

• WPF: How to make the first column does not show row separator and Left column separator in DataGrid?

Our WPF application uses DataGrid.
One of request is that first column of DataGrid does not show row separator and also does not show Left column separator. So it looks like the first column does not belong to the DataGrid. However, when select a row, the cell of first column still get selected.
How do we make it? Thx!
JaneC

Hi Magnus,
Thanks for replying our question and provide your solution!
Your solution works by setting "HorizontalGridLinesBrush" and "VerticalGridLinesBrush" to {x:Null} in the DataGrid style and modify "CellStyle" in first column as following:
<DataGridTextColumn MinWidth="32"
Binding="{Binding CellName}"
CanUserReorder="False"
CanUserSort="False"
Header="Cell}"
IsReadOnly="true" >
<DataGridTextColumn.CellStyle>

</DataGridTextColumn.CellStyle>
</DataGridTextColumn>
We found another way to achieve it by using DataGridRowHeader. The good way to use DataGridRowHeader is that we do not need to make the first column ReadOnly (click on first column does not select whole row anymore). Select RowHeader in a row will select
whole row. Move scroll bar horizontally, the row header still keep in visible area.

<DataGrid>
<DataGrid.RowHeaderStyle>

</DataGrid.RowHeaderStyle>
</<DataGrid>

• Analysis does not show all rows returned by SQL

Hi.
OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0
I have a strange problem. I have a simple table that should return customer number and sales. The report will show all of the sales, but it does not show all the customer numbers. The SQL that OBIEE creates does return all of the customer numbers. When I remove the sales and just include the customer number, the report only shows a couple of the customer numbers (it should show several hundred).
I guess what I'm looking for is any advice for how to debug this. I have spent about 3 days on this problem, so I have tried to look at it from every angle (data, RPD, report).
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you for your reply.
New development. The issue has to do with a descriptor ID column. The customer number column is a varchar field and I set the descriptor ID column to the column_ID field. When I remove the descriptor ID setting, I received all custom numbers.
