RSE, NRSE, or DIFF mode for my application?

Hello,
I am using a pressure sensor that needs 5V supply and generates a 0->2.5V output. I would like to read this voltage using Labview. However I am not sure which mode( diff, RSE, or NRSE) I should use here. I have attached a very simple photo of the way to connecte the sensor ( delivered with the sensor). There is :        1 supply connexion
             1 Ground connexion
              1 AGround connexion
               1 Vout connexion
I have already tried :
RSE mode : connecting to ACH and AIGND. I see a 1 to 2mV offset ( compared to a LEM). But I thought this wasn't appropriate in my situation?
NRSE mode : connecting ACH and AISense. Offset <1.5mV
( I haven't tried with any resistance )
Since the way of connecting this sensor is very common ( I will probably use this way of connecting again), could anybody tell me what the correct mode is? I have already read answers on the forum and the NI application note about how to use those different modes, but I haven't been able to conclude....
Any kind of help would be great!

Le problème d'offset peut-être lié à plusieurs paramètres qu'il faut chercher à isoler.
Quelle est la différence entre le GND et le AGND sur votre capteur? Comment alimentez-vous ce capteur, via le +5V de la carte d'acquisition? Comment calculez-vous cet offset? Avez-vous essayé de connecter des résistances de biais sur les entrées de la carte?
La note d'application suivante récapitule bier les différents modes de connectique.

What's the limit for unicode Essbase applications, 32 characters? Then one should also be able to give a new unicode planning application a 32 character long name when in the create new planning application dialogue box, given that the data source is 'unicode'.

Unable to use debug mode for x64 application and debug doesn't work when target cpu set to x86

I am attempting to familiarize myself with Visual Basic programming in Visual Studio 2008, using the Visual Basic Guided Tour in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Documentation, and have run into a bit of a road-block. When following the lesson "It
Doesn't Work! Finding and Eliminating Run-Time Errors", the IDE does not allow me to edit the code when the debugger hits the intentionally programmed runtime error (divisor set to 0). It gives me an error that "Changes to 64 bit applications
are not allowed". I found some forum postings advising to set the project's Target CPU from "Any CPU" to "x86". However, when I do that, and re-execute the debug process, the debug fails to stop on the overflow/divide by
zero error.
How can I debug my programs when Any CPU/x64 target doesn't allow me to edit the code, and x86 target doesn't appear to recognize obvious runtime errors.

I'm afraid that the VS2008 has a limitation for this feature, I mean that Edit and Continue isn't supported on 64-bit.

Shall I use NRSE or RSE mode for reading the output voltage of my sensor?

Hello,
I am using a gaz sensor that needs a power supply of 24 V and has an output voltage : 0 -> 10 V. I want to read this voltage with labview( and then convert it to PPMs ).
My problem : I don't know what kind of analog input connection I must use : RSE ou NRSE ? ( I suppose the DIFF mode isn't appriopriate here ) .
I think I should use the NRSE mode ( meaning connecting the V+ of the 0-10V signal to one of the ACH and the V- to AISENSE ) ???
Any help would be really great,

It basically all boils down to if the signal source is grounded or floating? If grounded use DIFF for low voltages (0-2V) and NRSE for high (above 2V). If the signal is floating use RSE.

Deployment Issues, Different Jars for Diff Java in one application.

HI,
I need to put classpath (Jars) for my WEB-INF/classes. Different Jars for Diff files in one application.
The problem is , for one ofmy application, the lib files are x.jar and y.jar , x is older than y but have same
lib files. in x and y, there is one class , r.java , which have a method method1(). whey they are doing modifications in y.jar , the r.java has changed to new vertion, the method method1() they re-written the body.
My application have 5 java files, in which 2 files uses r.java imported from the x.jar earlier.
Now we need to use y.jar because , the y.jar have more files added with good futures. But the earlier 2 files are giving exception if i use y.jar.
I need solution for this. how can i put classpath for the 2 files to use the x.jar and other files to use y.jar in the same application.
I am using a Tomcat 4 server. only Servlets, JSPs I am using.

I may be missing something here, is y.jar a newer version of x.jar? And if it is do you need x.jar at all? Are there classes in x.jar that do not exist in y.jar? Can you modify your application to provide the same functionality and only use y.jar?

I am getting noise clusters in differential mode for ground refeenced source

I am using DAQ board PCI-MIO-16E-1 and 2090 BNC as termination accessory. I want to aquire data from a ground referenced source.I am getting a lots of shot noise which is having a peiodic envope of 55 Hz frequency .These clusters are never removed in all the three modes but the strange thing is that i am having better results in RSE mode than in differential mode for the same source.This looks like a conflicting obervation from what is recomended.What may be the source for these peiodic noise clusters which are unavoidable.
One clue is that we get the same signal if we acquire data between our source ground and earth and same is the case for our computer.This noise is not removed ev
en if we short grounds of PC and our ground reference source.

Hello;
Noise is a difficult issue to advise about.
There are some things you can try, but the result will depend on different factors, such as, environment, lenght of cables, equipment on vicinity, etc.
Anyways, you can try to hook up a BIAS resistor in between the ch- and AIGND on your BNC device. That resistor will bleed out the common voltage current and help on noise balancing. Another thing you can try is to hook up a simple RC low pass filter at the analog input. That might help to get rid of that noise.
I'm also attaching an App Note that talks about Noise and some ways to get around it.

Log4J: Different config files for different applications?

Hi all.
If you run an application which uses Log4J logging it's enough to place the log4j.xml file in the Classpath.
But how do you specify which configuration file to use during startup of a Java programm if they need different configurations but have the same classpath?

my log4j knowledge is a bit outdated - but somewhere in your apps you should have a line that loads the properties file, something like:PropertyConfigurator.configure(path_to_log4j.properties);And the log4j.properties file should be in your app's EAR file somewhere - and since the app server creates a context for each application, I don't think there would be any "bleed over". So, does your setup differ from this somehow?

Although there is one little thing that I've noticed. The iMac works properly, but I tried to software update to see if that may help my Minecraft sound issue (as I still don't think only having 2GB instead of 4GB would cause such a problem) but the software update application won't work. Running the "Software Update" from the apple menu on the toolbar gains no response, nothing happens. If I run the software update from system preferences, the application icon appears for a second, then disappears (as in the blank app. icon, the blank canvas with the pencil, pen and ruler in the bottom right corner). It does this every time I try to run it. It did work when the computer was crashing, but this started when on one of the occasions I ran the app. while it was crashing. Since this occured during the crashes, and still occurs now, I'm wondering did something simlar happen minecraft, as it's sound disappeared during the crashes and is still gone now.
However, the computer is now working again without crashes, which is the main thing, thanks for helping me fix the issue

AirPort Utility is the application that must be used to setup and make any configuration changes to the AirPort Express. I'm not aware of an "App" for this.
If you could borrow a computer from someone there for 30 minutes or maybe use the computer in the lobby, you could download AirPort Utility and reconfigure your Express. To help with setup, use an ethernet cable from the computer to the Express to help AirPort Utility "see" the Express.

In the attribute tab of org structure (PPOMA_BBP), we are not getting +, - button and inherited tick box is in disabled mode for account assignment category (attribute is KNT).
We want to enter two values for the account assignment category with inherited tick box (ticked).
Please suggest me how to get the +, - and inherited tick box (ticked) for the account assignment.

Overview, Select Attribute, Check Entries,Insert line,Delete line..
So under All values you will find AcctAssigCat, Exculded, Default, Inheried
Select the row and click on Insert Line, now you should be able to insert the new acct Assignment category

How to capture the change in the update mode (for Inventory) in a transport

I recently changed the update mode for Inventory Controlling from Unserialized V3 Update to Queued delta in R/3 DEV environment. When I was doing the change it did not prompt for a transport request. Now I have to somehow capture this in a transport and move it to R/3 Quality environment. How do I capture this change in a transport.

there are 2 options
1) try changing back and forth and see if it prompts for a request
2) Create a customizing request and add the following entry into the request
Program ID - R3TR; Object type - TABU; Object name - TMCEXUPD
and make the entry ...How ?? Click on the key that you see under the column 'Function'
client/application component.. if client is 100 and application component is 11
then the table entry should be 10011
Assign points if it helps
P.S:if you check the table TMCEXUPD shows you the update mode

Yes there are ways to do it. But may your scenario and the scenario for which I have done may differ.
You can use openhub to get the data in a flat file and then read it into weddynpro through a java service OR
You can use DBlink(which i have done).

How to make scim-bridge the default inputmethod for QT application?

I am using gnome with SCIM. I installed scim-bridge for QT application, but xim is the default IM instead of scim-bridge.
I put these into ~/.bashrc or ~/.xprofile or ~/.initrc but it didn't work. xim is still the default IM for QT. You must right click the input area, and choose scim-bridge for input menthod

They both won't work.
The reason why I must use scim-bridge instead of xim mode of SCIM, is because in xim mode the input panel can't follow the cursor.

New-line Character for a file opened in BINARY mode for O/P

Can anybody please tell me how to put a new-line charcter for each record in a file opened in Binary mode for O/p. I cant use text mode for other reasons in my scenario.
DATA: l_outdata TYPE xstring.
OPEN DATASET file FOR OUTPUT IN BINARY MODE.
Application logic to populate l_outdata
TRANSFER l_outdata TO file.

but how will you decide, at which POSITION,
to put the new line character, if u have opened the file in binary mode.
2. However, if u know the exact positions(s),
u can use CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>CR_LF
to insert the new line character,
