RSS feeds widget broken?

Is anyone else having problems "waiting for reader.mac.com" with the RSS feed(s) not updating?
I have 2 different web pages that aggregate RSS feeds from several sites and this afternoon they all went dark...
Google shows it's come up before, but not showing any definitive solution.
I've tried with multiple browsers, multiple devices, in and out of my network. All get the same thing.

apple had pulled the plug on mac.com and me.com.

Spry RSS Feed widget works in IE but not Firefox or Chrome

I've been trying to use the Spry RSS Feed widget (6/9/2011 - via the Widget Browser) to feed a Wordpress blog I have onto my site. I customized the widget and installed the widget to my page, but it only works in IE (Version 8), and not in Firefox (9.0./1) or Chrome (16.0.912.63 m). I thought maybe I had something conflicting with it on my page, so I even tried inserting into a completely blank page, but I get the same results.
I've scoured the web for options to get this feed onto my site, and found PHP solutions, and a bunch of other tools, but I'm not much of a coder, and haven't been able to get them to work at all.
I'm using CS 5.5
Any recommendations?

The problem is that XML data cannot be transmitted cross domain.

RSS Feed Widget is not updating

Hello,
I have a problem with iWeb. I was working great with it until today. I added 3 new blog entries and published them on my site and the RSS Widget is not showing them. It was working fine before but now it doesn't
Here is my site so you can see what I am talking about.

iweb3 rss feed widget does NOT work in real-time (if at all), I sent feedback to them already (no reply) and I summed up in my post here:

I also included a much better alternative than iweb rss feed widget but you will have to do much of Yahoo's Pipes studying.

Iweb09 RSS Feed Widget - Time Problem

I have a problem with the RSS feed widget. I have setup a blog separate to iweb, and that is working fine. I added a RSS feed widget to my page linked to this blog. This feed works fine except that the posts are showing the wrong time. They are 8 hours behind.
I am based in the UK. My blog posts are all posted on UK time (I've checked the RSS page too), my regional settings are all UK. Is there any way to change the code of the RSS feed or something to get it to show UK time as apposed to US time?

I am experiencing a similar problem. I show my Twitter updates via RSS feeds to my iWeb09 site. I reside in the Eastern US timezone. But, when my web page updates my Twitter status, it displays as if I am Pacific Time (3 hours earlier). Does anyone know what causes this?

RSS Feed Widgets

Would love to see a Widget you could put an RSS Feed into and customize picture sizes fonts ect.. I used to use a platform called KickApps before it was bought out and I loved that. Even had Audio and Video payers that you could customize and the content was through a feed.

The new widgets stink if you ask me :-( On Anna I had the combined clock/profile/calender widget that took less space that the new clock widget AND had shortcuts to clock, profiles and calender AND adapted to theme color. On Anna the calender widget showed several appointments. The new Belle variant show ONE appointment and is WHITE (nice on a dark theme ehhh) and takes up just a much space. On Anna the e-mail widgets showed several mail in one widget slot. On Belle they show the same but take 3 time the space AND they are BLUE and WHITE and does not follow theme colors (nice for dark themes and for battery saving - not). On Anna I had room for clock/profile, calender 3 e-mail widgets and shortcuts on the same startscreen. Now just 2 e-mail widgets takes a shole screen (and does not show more). I have managed to save some space with the "ComingNext" calendar-widget (http://comingnext.sourceforge.net/) but still I have to use a extra startscreen for the mail. And I don't like that. Now I can't see my mails on the main screen - but must swipe to another. I general I think many things take more "click" on Belle than on "Anna" :-( Wish I hadn't updated :-( Is there a way to go back to "Anna"?

Rss feeds on home screen

I belatedly have been able to update to belle here in Australia since last week, and I have now lost the ability of updated rss feeds on the home screen. In the nokia conversations article 'Nokia Belle: Six ways to use six screens' from the 12/04/2012 it clearly shows on the second screen example an enourmous orange and white rss feed widget. Why can't I find it on my phone?! Also when I press the store button in the add widget or add short cut screen it tells me that that page is not available and to try again. Will there ever be some more widgets to fill the home screens up with? I probably should wait for the ones that have been on anna that are not on belle to be replaced first!

Rss feed in a publication

I need to get an rss feed inside my publication, i have generated this code from http://www.rssfeedwidget.com/ where it works fine.
I have saved the code as a html file, saved the file in same folder as the Indesign document, created a frame and from overlay creator i have pointed to this html file. But it dosen't work
What do I miss to do?
Have tested on screen and on ipad

Oh, well then you are missing the rest of the HTML code that has to be in the document. (the HTML tag, the head tag, the body tag, etc)

IWeb RSS FEED UPDATE

Could anyone - actually preferably Apple - please solve the RSS Feed Widget error I'm having in iWeb?
The site is on [www.xantopia.net], now [V011].
As you can see, I've made a blog with iWeb. On other pages from that site, I'm referring to the blog through a RSS Feed Widget [also from iWeb]. I'm correctly referring to the web address as you can see. e.g. "feed://www.xantopia.net/V011/Blog/rss.xml".
I'm randomly duplicating entries in that feed, but the feed is not updating at all. Well, it sometimes does..and sometimes don't!
I've tried everything. I can only guess he's keeping some cache from old RSS feeds and as such redisplay what once was...
The very basic functionality I'd like to have is to [RESET] the feed, so whatever I'm doing with my entries, the feed gets updated to what really is in there.

The method for transferring iTunes to another feed is described here:

However as this involves adding a tag to the feed you cannot do it in iWeb itself. You could do it this way:
Download your feed and open it in TextEdit in PLAIN TEXT MODE, not Rich Text which is often the default.
Add the tag as described in my page.
Re-upload the feed using an FTP program. Do not subsequently make any amendments in iWeb for two weeks.
Alternatively email Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to move it (give them the URL of your Store page and both feed URLs) - there's no guarantee they will but they have done for some people.

Here are some instructions on how to setup the RSS feed widget in Your View.
First, make sure you are in Your View edit mode.
Select Other --> RSS Subscription
Drag the RSS Subscription widget to the desired location in Your View.
Select "Edit this widget" from the upper right hand corner of the widget
For Apple Support Communities, each category has a tagSetID. Here is a list of the tagSet IDs you'll need to setup the RSS feeds:

Downloading RSS Feed...

After updating to Safari 4, iWeb now has trouble showing the RSS feed widget contents within iWeb. I can't say for sure that Safari 4 is the culprit, but it's the only major change between yesterday and today. Upon publishing the site (to a server), the feeds render properly. This behavior is strange, and I certainly have not seen it before today. A bit more strange is that one of my RSS Feed widgets does work within iWeb, and I seem to be able to add some feeds that show up, and others don't.
Anyone else having problems with the RSS Feed widget in iWeb after installing the release version of Safari 4?

If anyone is poking around with iWeb and has a spare 10 minutes, could you try this out:
1. Open iWeb 09 and create a new page
2. Drag the RSS Feed Widget onto the page
3. Use this as the Subscription URL: feed://images.apple.com/webapps/productivity/recent.rss
4. Observe - does the feed download?
When I do this for any feed with an .rss extension, it hangs on the 'Downloading RSS feed..." message. I have noticed, though, that feeds with an XML extension seem to work fine. Is this some kind of limitation with iWeb?

Flash Deal Of The Day RSS Feed Reader

I need to design a flash widget for MySpace that reads an rss feed and just shows the latest entry. I have seen flash rss feed widgets before but they show all the listings. I need it to check every day at 1:00am for the new one and load it automatically from a third party site (feedburner). I have some knowledge of flash but none in actionscript. I use the Creative Suite CS4. I am a fast learner so please explain in depth so I get the concept.

Currently it's only possible to embed an RSS feed in a Muse site (by inserting the HTML code for a feed into Muse using Object -> Insert HTML). There's no native RSS feed widget in Muse at this time.
