Rules For Analysing Memo Lines

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_byd1411/en/KTP/Software-Components/01200615320100003517/BC_FP30/FIN/FTA_BO_A1S_FIN_GSFMOP/ESS_CON_Creation_Memo_Line_Ana_Rules.html
Hello everyone,
So I'm trying to set up a rule or set of rules which automatically assign receipts/bank fees to certain cost/profit centres and G/L accounts based on the account number in each entry of the bank statement. Those familiar with bank statement processing will know that bank fee lines have different text after them when compared with receipt lines. So the idea is: grab the account number and use that to determine cost/profit centre. Then find all the bank charge lines and assign them to a certain G/L account using that cost centre, and find all the receipt lines and assign them to a different G/L account using the profit centre. Anyone got any experience with this sort of thing? I've been looking at the above link, but it's not amazingly helpful.
Lewis

Ah Now I understand.
Only the rules with the rule type : 7 - Account Assignment will be listed when you go to assign account to rule.
That's the reason, you don't see the rules with the type 10 - Bank Fee and 8 - Bank Transaction Fee for selection in assign account to rule.
So Coming back to the actual concern, can you use rule type 7 - Account assignment to find the bank charges / Fees, receipt based on the text. (this will obviously have different text and can be identified with the same).
- Rule type : 7 - Account assignment
- Rule Definition : Text and Place holder
Then you should be able to select the rule in assign to account rule. (As anyway you will use search text to locate the bank fee and receipt lines)
Not 100% sure. if this would suit your requirement but I guess its good idea to test this. (I am not sure what difference it will make if you use rule type as account assignment and bank fee , Bank Transaction fee, As both will be used for all kinds of bank transactions. for other types document Rule Types For Analyzing Memo Lines specifies the type of documents where this type will be used. )

  • GL Account for Credit Memo Lines

    Hi,
    Credit memo is being created against RMA. The RMA has 2 lines - one for finished goods and the other for freight charges. Freight charges are being entered by using Freight and Special charge List price modifier set up(Freight/Special Charge - modifier type) and entering the charges manually at the sales order headers.
    When credit memo is being generated the GL account(class - revenue) that is hit for the freight charges is getting defaulted from the "Freight Account" that is set up at the AR Invoice Transaction Type form. The GL account for the finished goods is getting defaulted from the revenue account defined at AR Invoice Transaction Type form.
    Is it possible, to make a set up so that the GL account for freight charges gets defaulted from the revenue account defined at AR Invoice Transaction Type form. We do not want to change the Freight account combinations in AR Trx Type.
    Regards,
    Saurov

    One is value based condition type and another one is percentage based condition type and this being the case, I am not sure, whether you could succeed in this.
    For information, there is a provision such that in billing document if you have 5 line items and in FI, if you want to consolidate into one line item, the same can be achieved as follows:-
    Go to IMG -- Financial Accounting --> Financial Accounting Global Settings --> General Ledger Accounting --> Business Transactions --> Integration --> Sales and Distribution --> Perform Document Summarization for Sales and Distribution.
    There make the settings according to your requirement but again, I am not sure, whether your requirement can be met.

  • Create rules for selection of Reconciliation posting (TCODE: KALK)

    Hello SAP Experts,
    I haven't worked on New GL concept but I am trying to learn it myself. Till now I have linked the Controlling area with New GL. But I don't know how to "define rules for selection of reconciliation posting"
    SPRO--->. FInancial Accounting (NEW) --->Financial Accounting Global Settings (NEW) ->Ledgers-> Real time integration of controlling and FA--->Define rules for selecting CO line items
    If any of you who have worked on it can explain me about it then it would be great.

  • AT&T has rules for the iPhone 3G S launch - Lines allowed to form starting at 7am

    AT&T has rules for iPhone 3G S launch - Lines allowed to form starting at 7am
    Perhaps AT&T has learned some from the troubles with iPhone past launches and they are going to try to make the experience better by settings some rules this time around. While AT&T is calling these “rules” guidelines, we think it really is nothing more than an effort to make a success of what the company hopes is one of the biggest tech event launches of the year.
    AT&T stores will receive inventory in time for the actual launch on June 19th. AT&T is already accepting pre-orders online as well as in stores. This change is key this time around because those that choose not to place a pre-order could be left out in the cold. From our understanding, pre-order customers will be given priority.
    The way that it will work is when the AT&T store opens, customers in line will then be split into two lines, with those already having a pre-order placed in one line and those who don’t have a pre-order placed in the other line. Pre-order customers will be able to start receiving their new iPhone 3G S starting shortly after 7 A.M., while those without a pre-order will have to wait until the store’s official regular opening time. Upon the actual regular opening time of the store, the two lines will then be merged into one line again. Apple retail stores will also be an option as they will open at 8 A.M. on launch day, but only those that pre-order from the Apple retail store will actually be able to pick up their phones early.
    As for the pricing, current AT&T customers that have had a contract with AT&T for at least 18 months will be able to get the new 16GB model for $199 or a 32GB model for $299. If you happen to be a current AT&T iPhone owner, but have not gone 18 months on your current contract, you will be able to pick up a new iPhone 3G S but will have to pay between $399 to $599, depending on how much time is left on your current contract and whether you want the 16GB or 32GB model. From what we understand, you will have to agree to another 2-year contract to get the iPhone 3G S this time around.
    The only actual possible loophole in this deal is to cancel your current AT&T contract and pay the $175 early termination fee and then wait three months. After the three months have lapsed, you can return to AT&T and then get new customer pricing, which would save you $225, but you have to endure a three-month wait.
    While the pricing and the options might make some AT&T customers unhappy, it is what it is. The bottom line is that the iPhone is still so hot, AT&T knows that people will pay what it takes to sport the new version if they are a big iPhone fan. According to our sources, AT&T should have enough inventory to more than cover the pre-orders, but beyond the pre-orders it is difficult to say if they will be able to meet the demand on launch day for additional units. Our advice is that if you want to have one on launch day, you had better get your pre-order in soon.
    Source:
    http://www.fudzilla.com/content/view/14181/1/

    I believe if you are a current AT&T Customer and wish to ADD a new phone to your account you will be able to get the new 16GB model for $199 or a 32GB model for $299. I went through
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/buy/
    and selected "Add a new line to my existing account" and was shown pricing as $199 for 16 GB and $299 for 32 GB.
    Hard to see this as any benefit unless you need an additional line on an existing account, which I happen to (I bought a new "additional line" 3G just before the 3GS was announced, and will fit into the "return" window)

  • Cross-systems analysis and max. rules for a risk

    Hi all,
    Customer environnement: GRC AC RAR 5.2 linked to 3 R3 4.6C environments (FB0, FB1 and FB2) with different purposes. Users and roles can exist in the 3 systems so we need to run cross systems analysis.
    It turns out that the cross-systems analysis works well only if you declares the functions on only 2 environments (FB0 and FB2 or FB0 and FB1).
    If we declare the functions on 3 environments (FB0, FB1 and FB2) one reaches the maximum number of rules for a risk, namely 46 655.
    This limit is it revised upwards in version 5.3 (if yes, how?)
    Or there happens a workaround solution to run cross system analysis on multiple physical systems (the customer environment target is 6!) ?
    Regards

    The limit is based on the number of character combinations are available for a risk, so if the number of characters has been increased thenteh number of rules available won't have been increased.
    In AC 5.3 the number of characters for a risk ID is 4 which is the sames as AC 5.2 therefore I doubt trhat the limit has been lifted of the code changed to accomodate mor rules per risk.
    The only way around the issue is to create smaller risks instead of looking in systems 1, 2 & 3 look in 1 & 2, and 2 & 3 and 1 & 3.  Not ideal but at least you will get some results.
    Sounds likje an enhancement request needs to be raised to me.

  • Automatic Business Area Derivation Rule for Vendor Line Item in MIRO

    Hello Experts,
    We trying to use Business Area concept for our client.
    I have completed all configuration setting for the business are derivation like
    1. Creation of Business Area
    2. Assign Business area to Plant / Division (OMJ7)
    3. Business area determination from sales area (TVTA)
    4. Business Area by Sales Area
    5. Checked Field Status Group for Customer and Vendor Reconciliation Account
    It is working for for compelete sales process and in Procurement cylce it is picking business for MIGO transaction both the line items.
    But
    In MIRO (Purchase invoice posting) it is automatically taking Business area to the GR/IR line item and it not taking Business area for the vendor line item (automatically)
    I comes know that there is a business area derivation rule for this to happen automatically.
    Can you please propose the soulution for the automatic derivation of business in MIRO for vendor line item.
    Regards,
    Chalapathi

    Hi,
    I do mot think there is a BA derivation rule for MIRO.
    The best you can do is:
    1.  Use a user exit or enhancement point for deriving the BA from the GR/IR line and populate that in the vendor line
    or
    2.  You make BA as a mandatory field in the field status group for the vendor reconciliation account.  This will then force the user update the BA.  We use this option.  This is so because at times, the vendor item may need a different business area than the GR/IR line.
    Cheers.

  • Change Rules for Line item

    Hi,
    I have customized the change rules for Line item.
    Still the system not allowing to make changes to that particular field? Can any one tell me, whats the reason for the same.
    Following Field is made as changeable for the line item.
    BSEG-VBUND             Trading partner.
    The above field is available in More data Tab or additional data tab while making entry or display of document.
    Thanks,
    Lalatendu

    Hi,
    That i know, but trading partner was not entered in the GL Master data. Infact some one wrongly entered Trading partner in Customer master and during bank posting system automatically picked Trading partner.
    When thye r trying to clear open items for that GL account , because of that assignment system is not allowing to clear those line item.
    If i can remove that trading partner from document, my problem will be solved.
    Can any one guide me..or if u need more info please let me know.
    Thanks,

  • Assignmnt num population(BSEG-ZUONR) in all line of Acc doc for Cr Memo(G2)

    Hi,
    Our business process is we create Credit memo request with reference to Returns Sales order and create Credit memo with reference to Credit memo request.
    When creating Accounting document from Invoice Assignment number(VBRK-ZUONR) is copied to BSEG-ZUONR of customer line item as well as GL Account line items in the Accounting document.
    When creating Acc Doc from Credit memo Assignment number(VBRK-ZUONR) is copied to BSEG-ZUONR of Customer line item only but not GL Account line items in the Accounting document.
    The same Customer & GL Account is used in both cases.
    Please hlep us to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Dear Rahul,
    I think It's SAP standard behaviour that field BSEG-ZUONR is not filled in
    accounting item lines when you transfer a billing document to
    accounting. Please have a look at program LV60BF00,
    form accounting_item:
    Felder, die nur in den Steuerzeilen vorkommen
      clear xaccit-kbetr.
      if vbrk-vbtyp ca vbtyp_reli.                              "WIA
        clear xaccit-stceg.
      endif.                                                    "WIA
      clear xaccit-vbeln.
      clear xaccit-xblnr.
      clear xaccit-zuonr.                               ' <    here !!!
      clear xaccit-gjahr.
    If you want to have this field filled for all item lines in accounting,
    then you have to use userexits to fill XACCIT-ZUONR. E.g. you can use
    FUNCTION EXIT_SAPLV60B_004 to set XACCIT-ZUONR = VBRK-ZUONR in the
    line items.
    I hope this helps.

    Hi suchi,
    The following would be very useful to you.
    To reduce implementation time for print forms development, SAP has created a set of the most commonly used forms - Preconfigured Smart Forms:
    <u><b>SD:</b></u> Invoice, Quotation, Contract, Delivery Note, Order Confirmation, Scheduling Agreement, Inquiry, Cash Sales, Picking List
    <b><u>MM</u></b>: Purchase Order, Request for Quotation, Contract, Delivery Schedule, Good Issue (3 scenarios), Good Receipt (3 scenarios)
    <b><u>FI:</u></b> Dunning Notice
    All can easily adapt these forms to their requirements, saving time and money.
    Hope this information has been useful to you.
    if you would like to have a smartform of your own i.e a Z or a Y then there is an option to get a sap script copied onto a smartform.
    the sap script for the same is -> <b>F140_DOCU_EXC_01</b>
    Go to Txn SMARTFORMS and just put the required smart form name in FORM field and then go to the menu bar: Utilities-> Migrate SAPScriptForm and juts type in the Script name which is given above(i.e F140_DOCU_EXC_01 )
    I hope this will be an amicable solution.
    if helpful pls reward.
    Thanks

  • How to create diferents deliveries for each schedule line

    Dear gurus,
    I have sales orders with many schedule lines in order to deliver in diferents dates. We need to create all the deliveries together but each schedule line needs to be in a diferent delivery with the corresponding delivery date.
    I analiced the customizing about pool for delivery creation (VL10) but all I can change is for display and can not change the way the delivery is created. If we select two schedule line with diferent dates, the proccess create only one delivery with the total quantity and the first date of delivery.
    Anybody knows some way to make the proccess create individual deliveries from diferents schedule lines?
    Tanks in advance!
    Marina.

    Hello Marina
    I hope you are using VL10E. Did you try working with Delivery creation date (range) and Delivery Date calculation rule? For example if you go for a value of 2 for the CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt ('Rule for determining default value for deliv. creation date), then system will consider only those sched lines which are to be delivered today and tomorrow.
    You also have the possibility of setting up your own routine for CalcRuleDefltDlvCrDt.
    Thirdly SAP has suggested a solution for Scheduling agreements ( valid for releases upto 4.7). In this SAP has suggested solution 4 for ensuring all schedule lines are not delivered together. You can customize the code to include Sales orders ( in stead of Sched Agreements)  in your case. Though it is for release 4.7, I think you can use the smae concept in ECC also.
    137937 - SD scheduling agreement: Delivery split for each schedule li
    Check it out and let me know how it goes. Good luck.

  • Two different invoices created for  one order for two different lines

    Hi All,
    I have an order with four line items that was shipped on the same day, invoiced on the same day and all lines have the same delivery number yet two inovices were created for this order..one for the first three lines and one for the last line.
    Can anyone please explain what can cause this to happen?
    Thanks
    A/A

    Hi Asgar,
    If a single order has been split into two invoices, you should check the values of the mandatory columns. During Autoinvoice, the grouping is based on the madatory columns and also your grouping rules. If any of the mandatory column has a different value, it will split into different invoice.
    Please refer the following metalink note for further details
    Subject: How Autoinvoice Grouping Works

    Hope that helps.

  • [SOLVED]system fails to boot since adding udev rules for automounting

    Hello
    I have recently been trying to use udev rules to automount, and putting together stuff from the wiki, forums and general googling around have produced the following set of rules:
    # automounts usb hdd and pendrives as usbhd-sdx; no messing around with
    # volume labels or other confusing stuff
    # matches all sdx devices except the internal hdd, sda
    KERNEL=="sd[b-z]", NAME="%k", SYMLINK+="usbhd-%k", GROUP="users", OPTIONS="last_rule"
    # imports filesystem information
    ACTION=="add", IMPORT{program}="/sbin/blkid -o udev -p %N"
    # creates mount points and sets up symlinks
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", SYMLINK+="usbhd-%k", GROUP="users", NAME="%k"
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/mkdir -p /media/usbhd-%k"
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/ln -s /media/usbhd-%k /mnt/usbhd-%k"
    # global mount options
    ACTION=="add", ENV{mount_options}="relatime"
    # filesystem-specific mount options (777/666 dir/file perms for ntfs/vfat)
    ACTION=="add", ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="vfat|ntfs", ENV{mount_options}="$env{mount_options},gid=100,dmask=000,fmask=111,utf8"
    # automount ntfs filesystem with ntfs-3g driver
    ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="ntfs", RUN+="/bin/mount -t ntfs-3g -o %E{mount_options} /dev/%k /media/usbhd-%k", OPTIONS="last_r$
    # automount all other file systems

    ACTION=="remove", KERNEL=="sd[b-z][0-9]", RUN+="/bin/rmdir /media/usbhd-%k", OPTIONS="last_rule"
    This seemed to be working very well unitl I tried to boot this morning and the boot process stopped at "processing UDev events" with the following message:
    iTCO_wdt: Unexpected close, not stopping watchdog!
    It pauses at this point for 10-15 seconds and then reboots.
    Having searched a bit, I found the following similar post on the forums:  http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=459375
    Which suggests that the problem might lie with this line:
    ACTION=="add", IMPORT{program}="/sbin/blkid -o udev -p %N"
    I have renamed the file so that it no longer has the udev .rules extension and now the system boots fine.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the above rules might be causing this behaviour and how I might go about fixing it?
    Thanks

    Hey falconindy
    That was the final kick up the logical a$$ that I needed to get some kind of grip on udev rules.  I now have a fully functional rule that applies only to /dev/sdxy and not to everything else as well, so no more boot trauma, THANK YOU.
    I will mark this thread as solved and post my new rule for the benefit of anyone who might read this.
    New rule (no boot problems):
    # automounts usb hdd and pendrives as label or as usbhd-sdxy if no label present
    # ensures the following is _only_ run for sdxy devices excluding internal hdd, sda
    KERNEL!="sd[b-z][0-9]", GOTO="personal_usb_automount_settings_end"
    # imports filesystem information
    # provides access to following variables:
    # ID_FS_UUID; ID_FS_UUID_ENC; ID_FS_VERSION; ID_FS_TYPE; ID_FS_VERSION; ID_FS_LABEL
    # accessible via ENV{variable}; $env{variable}|%E{variable}
    IMPORT{program}="/sbin/blkid -o udev -p %N"
    # Get a label if present, otherwise name usbhd-%k
    ENV{ID_FS_LABEL}!="", ENV{dir_name}="%E{ID_FS_LABEL}"
    ENV{ID_FS_LABEL}=="", ENV{dir_name}="usbhd-%k"
    # creates mount points and sets up symlinks
    ACTION=="add", SYMLINK+="%E{dir_name}", GROUP="users", NAME="%k"
    ACTION=="add", RUN+="/bin/mkdir -p /media/%E{dir_name}"
    ACTION=="add", RUN+="/bin/ln -s /media/%E{dir_name} /mnt/%E{dir_name}"
    # global mount options
    ACTION=="add", ENV{mount_options}="relatime"
    # filesystem-specific mount options (777/666 dir/file perms for ntfs/vfat)
    ACTION=="add", ENV{ID_FS_TYPE}=="vfat|ntfs", ENV{mount_options}="$env{mount_options},gid=100,dmask=000,fmask=111,utf8"
    # automount ntfs filesystem with ntfs-3g driver

  • Settlement Rule for Internal Order

    Hi All
    I have Maintained Settlement rule for Internal order as under
    CAT - FXA
    Settlement Receiver - Asset
    % - 100
    Settlement type - Full
    Now after settlement of above Order in KO88 . I want again use above internal order. Hence i have trying to put Settlement rule 50% for some anther asset but system gave me following error. Please guide on this issue.
    Total = 50.00%, ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ), period 010/2011
    Message no. KD042
    Diagnosis
    You have entered distribution rules which settle 50.00% in total. This applies for settlement view ( Set.Type PER / Version / Actual settlement ) in period 010/2011.
    When checking the percentage total, the system found one of the following errors:
    The total percentage for the distribution rules is more than 100%
    The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and this is a rule for full settlement.
    The total percentage for the distribution rules is less than 100% and the 100% check is switched on in the settlement profile.

    Hi:
            Please refer to the contents of OSS Note 45612 - IM: pre-settlement does not work, or KD042... which states
    "Symptom
        1. If a preliminary settlement rule (for example, to cost center) is entered for individual items of capital investment measures with line item management, this rule is not considered during periodic settlement. There is no settlement to cost centers.
        2. If you enter a final settlement rule for individual line items of investment measures with line item management for a partial capitalization (that is, the percentage rate is less than 100%), then you receive the unjustified error message KD042 "Total percent = xx%".
    Additional key words
    KOB5, CJ70, CJ88, CJ8G, KO88, KO8G, preliminary settlement, partial settlement, partial capitalization
    Cause and prerequisites
        1. You did not enter the settlement type ACT in the preliminary settlement rule.
        You can check this in the Line Item Apportionment transaction by choosing the menu option "Goto" -> "Overview dist. rules" to display the distribution rule groups entered so far.
        The system displays rules which have no entry in the "SetTyp" field (settlement type, field name PERBZ).
        2. The check of the percentages is incorrect.
    Solution
        1. Install the following correction. Afterwards reverse the incorrect settlement, re-enter the preliminary settlement rule and settle again.
        2. Install the following correction. Afterwards, you can maintain the settlement rule for the partial settlement.
        Note: If you want to use a default settlement rule (maintaining the settlement rule from the master data maintenance transaction), then you are required to distribute the line items at 100%. In order to carry out a partial capitalization (settlement of less than 100%), you have to use menu path "Actual postings -> Period-end closing -> Settlement -> Line item "
