RV110W VPN enhancements etc

I am looking to Cisco to pehaps add the following to the entire line of RV series VPN capable firewalls. (at least the RV110w)
Add EZ_VPN, with ability to store remote usename password for tunnel auth.
Add option 150 in the LAN DHCP config
Supporting multiple subnets across a site to site vlans
Voice vlan support?
It seems to me the RV series VPN capable devices would be great for teleworkers that use a Cisco UC phone system such as the UC500 series that support EZ_VPN,  as the SSL vpn on the SPA525 is buggy and unusable in a lot of my installations. and installing the SA/SR endpoints (most of with are end of life) devices are costly.  Also allows one to use lower cost SPA phones for remote users.
Since Cisco spent the time to add all the advanced IPSec options to allow one to connect to most any IPsec device, and are marketing this for teleworkers haveing the features listed above would really help.

Hi mlemmo, you should call the small business support center to make a feature request.
Traditionally, the small business routers have not supported the Cisco VPN clients. The latest exceptions have been the SA500 and SRP500 series supporting the Cisco VPN client and the ISA supporting AnyConnect. Currently, the bigger brothers of the RV110 also do not support the Cisco VPN clients except for QVPN.

  • Cannot connect to RV110w VPN error 619

    Hello,
I'm having problems logging into my RV110w using either quickvpn or a windows pptp client connection....
I've been following the guide here but I just can't connect....I can connect via remote management however....
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/124251/remote-vpn-tunnel
    So  :
    IPSec, PPTP and L2Tp enabled.
    RV110w firewall enabled
    Block WAN Request enabled
Remote Management enabled - port 443
    MPEE Encryption Enabled
    Netbios over VPN Enabled
2 Clients created one for quickvpn and one for pptp.
Win 7 firewall enabled at remote end with rull to allow inbound ICMP Echo.
Exported Certificate and copied to the quickvpn install folder.
    Disabled all other network adapters
QuickVPN tries to connect then shows a message listing possible reasons for a failed connection....
    The quickvpn log shows:

This is all behind a talktalk fibre router, they say it's transparent and doesn't block anything but they won't support me any further than that. Ports 443 and 1723 do seem to be open when I scan so as far as I can see the talktalk router is transparent.
Do I need to create any rules on the RV110w firewall to get this working? or forward any ports to the router itself?
    Thanks for any help, Kevin

I believe the problem is in iOS, as I am experiencing the same issue.
I have a Yosemite Server running L2TP VPN server and my Mac connects flawless, while neither the iPhone nor the iPad (both 8.2) are able to connect.
The error is the same "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond" and by looking at the server's log it seems iOS didn't even try to connect.
I have tried changing the server address in iOS with the corresponding IP, but the results it's the same.
    Maybe a network setting reset?

  • Are there settings on the camera to enhance, etc?

I am just getting started using my camera as I use Skype to have video conversations with friends. Is there a way to enhance or be creative with the camera, settings, etc?

  • RV110W - VPN peerid is allways ip (dynamic)

we have the rv110w router, and try to connect to our juniper netscreen firewall.
the rv110w is on adsl line with dynamic ip
    the juniper has fixed ip
the problem is, the cisco router allways sends as id the ip of the wan connection.
this is bad, because it is changing every 24hours, and we have to set new ip to juniper firewall every time.
    we are using agressive mode.
    lan-to-lan mode
    we get on our juniper:
Receive Id in AG mode, id-type=1, id=79.193.53.57
where can we set the id to something like "my.router.name" ??

    Good morning  Randy Sieber
    Thanks for using our forum
The problem seems to be the dynamic IP, in order to resolve this ask your ISL a static IP address

  • Issues with Remote Users, VPN Connections, etc.

    Hi there,
A few weeks ago I was asked to enable EWS and Outlook Anywhere which had not been previously enabled.  I did so, but this seemed to cause issues (they may not have been implemented correctly) for users in remote offices; they would be prompted
for credentials to log into Outlook 2010, but no issues with OWA.  I disabled Outlook Anywhere as it turned out we didn't need it, and this has caused VPN users to now not be able to open Outlook.
At this point I'm not sure what the issue is.  I've tried implementing a few fixes from Googling around but haven't been able to determine the root cause and actually caused more issues this morning, where many local users were being prompted for credentials,
which was alleviated by creating new mail profiles for them.
We're using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010, with OWA being served by Forefront TMG.
I've seen in some other cases where results of the following queries were asked for, so here they are:

    Get-OutlookAnywhere | fl
    No output.
I've also run the Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer locally, which appears to fixate on Outlook Anywhere connectivity and fails because OA isn't enabled.  Specifically it reports that "The EXPR Provider section is missing in the Autodiscover response.
RPC over HTTP may not be enabled."

    Hi Steve,
According to the description, my understanding as below:
    1. To make users use Outlook externally, you want to enable Outlook Anywhere. However cannot connect to Exchange server via Outlook, it prompts password again and again.
    2. Because Outlook Anywhere doesn't work, so you disable it and enable VPN. But it doesn't work neither.
Please correct me if there is any misunderstanding.
Based on the result of running Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer, it means that the Outlook Anywhere is disabled. However it isn't an error.
I suggest enable Outlook Anywhere on Exchange server 2010 and configure Outlook Anywhere on Outlook.
Find an article related Configuration on Outlook for your reference:

  • RV110w wont connect with dsl modem for VPN - HELP!

    Hello,
I have bought a RV110w and also a D-Link 320B modem  (replacing my standard Sky broadband router) and I am having difficulty  setting them up.  The D-Link modem works when connected directly with my  laptop via ethernet but when connected into the WAN port on the RV110w  none of the computers on my network have internet access.  The RV110w  dashboard says that the WAN connection is "UP" and gives an IP  address??  Any help with this would be much appreciated.
After  the above issue has been solved I would then like to use the RV110w VPN  facility which I have been unable to set up correcty using QuickVPN.   The laptop that I want as a VPN client is running Windows 8.
I have been trying to sort this for two weeks with no luck!!!
    Matt.

Hi Matthew, thank you for using our forum, my name is Luis I am part of the Small business Support community. I apologize for your inconvenience; I have a couple of questions, what firmware are you running? The last firmware is 1.2.0.9 and you could download it here, are the computer connected to the RV110W receiving DHCP?
I want to have this information in order to provide better assistance.
Also I will share an article for QuickVPN, here you will find the configuration for your QuickVPN

  • VPN load balancing and ASA !!!

    Hi netpros,
I have a couple of questions about this and hope you might be able to assist me.
1.- Are VPN load balancing and failover (Active/Active) mutually exclusive ..? I mean they can't be used at the same time correct ..?
2.- How does the ASA handle the return traffic from the Internal LAN towards the remote client .. Because the cluster only requires ONE public virtual IP address, which will work for incoming packets .. but what about the return traffic which has knowledge of the DHCP scope's default gateway IP address only .. ? How gets the returned packet redirected from the default gateway IP address to the respective ASA internal IP address .?
3.- VPN load balancing only applies to remote clients using easy VPN technology (easy vpn client, hardware client , pIX using easy vpn client etc ) and does not work with static LAN-LAN tunnel .. correct ..?
    Your comments are much appreciated

    Hi Gilbert ..
1.- Thanks I wanted to make sure.
2.- I know that .. my question is in regards the return packets .. for example if I have the below IP schema:
    ASA1: Public 20.20.20.20
    Private 192.168.1.1
    ASA2: Public 20.20.20.21
    Private 192.168.1.2
    Cluster virutal IP: 20.20.20.10
Default gateway for segment 192.168.1.0 is 192.168.1.1
Let's say that a vpn client tries to connect and the cluster instructs the client to connect to ASA2 20.20.20.21. The packets reach the internal server at 192.168.1.100. The internal server then sends the return packets back to the client by forwarding them to its default gateway which is 192.168.1.1 (ASA1). Here is my question .. how does the cluster handles this because the return packet are supposed to be directed to ASA2 192.168.1.2
3.- Any idea about this one ..?
    Cheers,

  • How check table update program, FM etc..

    Hi ,
I need to prepare a document for table the KNB5, the table contain 11 fields, need to prepare a document for all the fields how they are updating and what Programs, Fucntion Module, Module Pool/enhancement etc.. involved for table updating .
I will use where used list for each field and get list programs, Fucntion Module, Module Pool/enhancement etc. involved but in what basis, I will confirm weather this program or FM really using table updates or not.
Shall I search with update command or with table? is any other way?
    Thanks in advance.
    Mahhe

This is kind of tricky. KNB5 is customer dunning data table which (as far as i know) is updated by transaction XD01/XD02.
So, you might want to run a SQL trace and modify/update the data. Then you need to analyze the trace to see how it is being updated. Then again, you need to put break points and see what is going by running the same again.
Just an fYI..... Check out customer master XD02 and company code data - Correspondence tab for dunning info and fields.
    good luck

  • Impact of enhancing standard infotypes on service pack upgrade

    Hi SAP experts,
I have a situation where in we had enhanced standard infotype 14 ( added custom fields to structure CI_P0014) in development systems and moved to production systems. Now these changes should be moved to project system in which the service pack upgrade is in progress. Will it impact the SP upgrade if I move my transports to these systems? Will it overwrite the sp changes for IT14?
P.S : The support pack was not applied to the system in which the std infotype was enhanced.
    Regards,
    Sameena

You should re-apply any customer enhancements etc to your development environment after SP's are applied - But only after you have a developer review potential impacts from SP and your development.
I think you would be fine as IT14 isn't updated often in SP's.
    Cheers,
    Brad

  • MPLS vpn test lab

I am trying to setup a basic lab. I have the following setup:-
CE1->PE1->P1->PE2->CE2. I have attached the relevant configs.
All the CE & PE routers are 2600's and the P1 router is a 7206VXR. I am running OSPF in the MPLS network between the PE & P routers. I am using ldp as the label distribution protocol. BGP is running between the CE & PE routers.
I have a couple of questions:-
    1) Basic MPLS setup. I think this is working in that if i ping from the LAN side of the CE1 to the LAN side of the CE2 it works. The P1 router has no knowledge of these subnets. However a "sh mpls forwarding-table" command on the PE routers shows no bytes tag switched and yet if i do a "debug mpls packet" on the P1 router i can see the packets going through. If the P1 router doesn't know the LAN subnets then am i right to assume it must be label switching ?
    2) The configs attached are to test a VPN setup. I have the MPLS & VPN architectures book and i have gone through all the show commands to troubleshoot and it all looks right. The routes are in the vrf routing table, the mpls forwarding table looks okay but i cannot ping from CE1 to CE2.
If i debug on the P1 router i can see the packets coming in with 2 labels as expected but i can't see them being transmitted.
I have done some searching and know that 2600's are not officially supported but my understanding is that the features i need are on the routers. I have tried a number of different IOS versions but to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated
    Jon

    thanks for your responses
    1) yes it's a typo, i do have the "ip vrf forwarding NR_prod" on the fa0/0 interfaces on the PE routers.
    2) Basic mpls - i meant no VPN's etc. I have ospf between the PE & P routers. I have MP-BGP between PE1 & PE2. Between the PE & CE routers i am running standard BGP.
    3) All 2600 routers are 2621XM's. The IOS i am trying with is c2600-spservicesk9-mz.123-4.T4.bin altho i have also tried c2600-spservicesk9-mz.123-8.T10.bin and c2600-telco-mz.123-7.T12.bin.
    4) On the 7200 i'm running c7200-p-mz.123-16.bin and have also tried c7200-p-mz.124-5.bin
    5) The packet from PE1 comes into the P1 router labelled as 19/24. The mpls forwarding table on P1 has the entry
    19 Untagged 81.144.17.55/32 2137750 Fa0/1 172.16.1.6
which is correct as far as i can see as this is PE2.
I have included the sh mpls output from the P1 router and a sh ver of one of the PE routers ( they are both the same ).
Once again, many thanks for your replies.

  • SA520 Now Abandonware?

I have not seen a firmware update to the SA520 and SA520W since last year.  They are still rife with problems and missing essential features.  Have these products been abondoned by the developers?  We bought 3 years of service and 2 years in dev appears to have stopped.  Is this what I can expect from Cisco going forward?  I used to be impressed with Cisco's dedication to their products, but that impression is beginning to sour.

IME, the SA540 is far superior than the other Cisco SMB routers.  Our's is extremely stable.  We only reboot the device monthly for preventive reasons... and only during scheduled maintenance.  We have gone over two months without rebooting it without incident.
The SA500 Series routers have been around for quite a bit longer than the RV220W.  Cisco has been working hard over the past two years to stabilize the firmware and its feature set.  We are currently Beta testing firmware version 2.2.0.3_1, and it is has proved to be just as stable as 2.1.71.  This version of firmware also includes a lot of fixes and enhancements.  We are looking forward to the final build (GA release).  We are told it is due out in mid-September, but as long as they get it *right* we don't mind waiting a little longer.
Unfortunately 2.2.0.3_1 doesn't include inter-VLAN ACL support which we really need.  I haven't spoken to Cisco tech support, but I don't think inter-VLAN ACL support is even on the roadmap.
Something else that has been on the roadmap for the SA500 Series routers is Cisco AnyConnect support.  2.2.0.3_1 seems to have support for it but the iPhone/iPad app just doesn't seem to support it yet.  You get an error when you try to connect, but Cisco AnyConnect is able to talk to the SA540 because it spits out the device ID, serial number, etc. (basically a different error than you get with 2.1.71).  Fingers crossed for Cisco AnyConnect support!!!  Especially since support for the Cisco VPN Client 5.x is nearing EOL.
We are extremely happy with our SA540.  Using the 30-day trials, I was able to convince the powers that be around here to purchase 3-year licenses for IPS, extended support, and Trend Micro's ProtectLink Web.  I'm not ready to tackle ProtectLink Gateway, Endpoint, or Verisign VIP, but I'm sure they are well worth the price tag.
For well under $1k we have a solid UTM solution in place.  We are located in Kansas City so we are looking forward to Google Fiber coming to town.  The SA540 only has the horse power for 300 Mbps WAN throughput, but we will probably just *settle* for that.    We don't have the $$$ in the budget for an ASAxxx that it would take to not only be able to handle the 1 Gbps throughput, but also add all the features that the SA540 has (IPS, ProtectLink Web, # of concurrent SSL VPN sessions, etc.).
I have asked SmallNetBuilder to review the SA540 because it hasn't reviewed by a credible group and especially not recently.  I asked them to hold off until firmware 2.2.0.x is released though.  I hope Cisco gives them the go ahead to review it.  SmallNetBuilder has reviewed pretty much every other Cisco SMB router so the comparsion would be very interesting.

  • Administrative access to AP1200 via TACACS+ authentication

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to set up authenticate admin access to an AP1200 running the 12.00T code.
    I'm using ACS ver 3.1
All other devices (routers switches, VPN 3000, etc..) all authenticate properly.
    Thanx

You can authenticate the admin access to AP1200 using RADIUS protocol but not using TACACS.. TACACS option is reserved for future enhancements..
Using RADIUS, You need to use cisco AV-Pair attribute for admin users with following syntex
    aironet:admin-capability=write+ident+admin+firmware
Here is the procedure for the admin user you to define the Cisco AV pair Attributes .
    a) On acs select the interface configuration and go to the advance option ,

  • After Every CLEAN Wipe my APP Store in a Standard Account Downloads Weird Software Automatically, EVERY TIME!!

    Hello everyone,
I have a very weird situation that is going on that keeps happening to me and has caused many "Weird" situations on my Retina MBP and other Mac's that I own.  I did have some of this in another thread, but most people simply don't think what I am describing is really happening, etc.
To date I have spoken with many Mac Genius's at multiple Apple Stores, I have spoken with many Level 2 Apple Care Rep and now have an Apple Certified IT person that visits my house once or twice a week trying to figure out what is going on.
    Anyway....
I will give a quick example and if anyone can explain this to me or has had a similiar experience I would love to hear back!! .....
So I have about 6 macs for my current and past business.  Plus I always love grabbing the newest technology.  That said this "Problem" occurs with every Mac I own.  Even to a brand new MBP Retina that no one has had access to.  I keep Firmware PW's on, I only use Eithernet connections, I have a $600 Hardware Firewall configured to let nothing in (No VPN's, etc)... obviously have sharing off, **** I don't even use Bluetooth.
Anyway when I wipe the drive I do it like this...
1.) Take out both the MAC HD and Recovery Partion....
2.) I have 50 MBPS Download Speed so Internet Recovery is very quick.  I go through the normal process.
3.) Once I have reached the new recovery partition from the Internet Recovery I partion the SSD a couple times in different formats and then go back to the normal Journaled that I will be using for my single partioned SSD
4.) Then I install and go through all the normal steps, expect I skip everything that I can.  I don't add location services, I set time manually and I don't sign into iCloud as this will be my Admin Account.  I normally just call the account Main or Admin.
5.) I check for updates and install any that might have not been included in the most recent Internet Recovery.
6). In the Admin  Account I set a tough PW and then begin with all the security options.  Again all sharing off, Firewall on, Wifi Off and requires Admin Access to Turn on, No Peer-to-Peer Networking without Admin Access, Bluetooth Off, Java and Extensions turned off in Safari, etc.  You name it I have done it as far as the GUI goes.  I am certainly no expert in Terminal, but can make my way around for some things.
7.) I create a Standard Account "The one in which I will conduct 99% of my business in." Again I create a strong PW for this account and confirm that the security settings that I setup in Admin match those of my Standard Account.
HERE IS WHERE THINGS GO WRONG...
8.) I go into options and login to icloud.
HERE IS WHERE IT IS ABSOULETLY WRONG...
    911) I login to the apple store as I want to dowlonad some of the simple apps so I can go to work.  IMMEDIATELY, it starts downloading a program called "Mountain" ... please don't confuse this with Mountain Lion (You can see it listed second in the APP Store search "Mountain")... when I look down at my Launchpad bar without hitting anything the 2.1MB file is downoading and then dissapears from my launchpad.
** Also as this is going on "storeagent" with the linux exec box icon next to it shows up saying "storeagent is attempting to install software to your computer"  It does ask the for Admin User and PW, but no matter what I hit this "Mountain APP" downloads.
When I first noticed this I thought this was legit, well it certainly is not.  I have never purchaed that "APP" however it does show up in my APP store Purchaes.  The gateway is obviously not doing it's job and FURTHERMORE I don't have any of the options to "Automatically Download New Apps, etc."  I simply just check for updates manually everyday as it is a 2 second process and Mounain Lion doesnt check automatically until every 7 days.
    Here is a Screen Shot...
Sorry for the long post... Anyway experiencing the same thing?  I can redo my drive over and over again... I have ever purchased a new Mac Book Air a year ago to see if it would happen and the problems eventually started and fairly quickly.  The weird thing also is that I have done wipes and renistalls in all sorts of different locations.
So all this said... how could it not be in the EFI or on the machine some how?
Thanks guys... I hope someone has experienced a similiar experince!!! .... as the Mac Store and Apple Care have been of no help!! ... and with a problem like this I think it is way above a level 2 Mac specialist head

    Hey etresoft,
I need that firewall for VPN Tunnels.  These are not setup yet, but in order to work from home... outside our office, this is a requirement.  Money is not really an issue and I do always back up kids / family photos.  I have two Thunderbolt backups attached to the Monitors.  So the 4TB with Raid 0, was cut down to 2TB and then I have another more movable / durable one that piggybacks off that.
I am considering the new Apple ID, the problem is I have a ton of Apps and a TON of Moview / TV Shows that have been downloaded over the past years.
The movies are easy enough, but it just ****** me off that I won't just be able to have them in the iClould and put on my Apple TV and have it right there with my Apple ID (My 2 year old loves Tom & Jerry )
It might come to the new Apple iD with minimal security, but being a partner in a business that runs the Internet Marketing team... we have very sensitive data that is stored.  That said large email list and many other items that make us money and the ability to run a successful business is important to protect.  Apple has these security mesaures in place for a reason and really the bottom line is I want to get to the bottom of what is causing this.
If you don't believe me, etc... that is fine.  I did start a new forum as you said and I am simply looking for people to throw some feedback my way, if they have any.
When you say thing like "I suspect you aren't telling the Full Story." it is upsetting because I am trying to be as detailed as possible and why would I ever be typing on this forum unless I was just looking for some feedback.
I did start my own forum, but please don't acuse me of not telling the truth or the full story as others were in the last forum.  That was a bad thread to jump in on, as it started out way more extreme than what I am trying to explain.
    Anyway...
I have never posted on this forum until recently... and I promise you I am telling you the full story and I am simply looking for feedback.  This is not fun for me.  I would rather be running the business 100% and not have to worry about this and spend time on forums that eat into my day.
    Thanks.

  • How come my final bounces have some much more bass in them then what I hear when I am mixing them

No matter setting I try when I bounce them, there is noticeably more bass in the final mix....I keep trying to pull it back and just keeps ending up in the mix. Unless I just kill it...what happened to what you hear is what you get.
Mac Mini 2.4 running Lion. Logic 9.1.5 running in 64 bit mode.  8 gig of ram. Mix is on seperate 7200 speed drive.
I have been a live engineer for years. Used Sonar for a long time. Always got want heard in monitors with that. Have switched to Logic and man I am get not getting my bounces to sound like what I mixed.
I am listening to them back in iTunes as Wave files.
What the heck am I doing wrong??? Have tried offline, live, normalization on and off....changed every config I can think of....
Just plain weird or this just the symptom of a product that seems like it is being ignored in all the imania.....

    Hi
Did you check iTunes playback preferences to see if the "Sound Enhancer " etc are turned off?
Does the Wav sound OK if you listen yo it via Quicktime?
