I did ALert COnfiguration many times but I never faced such Problem.
Can anyone tell me what will be the reason behind it??

  • Application Alert Categories CCMS :CEN

    hello all,
I have been working on central alert configuration and have seen variety of posts on this. Thanks to SDN.
i have also seen forum posts reg. Application related alerts(RWB Alert Categories) to Central CCMS.
I have earlier configured Alerts by defining alert categories and rules through RWB and receive email over those on individual remote system.
but with Central CEN as is the architecture, i want to monitor everything through CEN. Now for this i have configured remote system to report CCMS alerts ( inc RWB Categories ) to CEN.
After this i can see in RZ20 :
    Tree node of :
RWB Alert Categories : Active Alerts
    |
    ><Alert Category Name>
    .........|
    .........----->No. of Active Alerts
    .........----->Assigned rule ( i) <Rule_name>
Even through i can see alerts in CEN (under system alerts ) and above RWB Alert Categories goes red when an issue comes , i cant see the exact error text defined in Alert categories under this tree ?. i.e. Short text or Long text.
Any clue how to link that error text defined in Alert Categories of Remote system and rule specs to CCMS,  aswell will be of great help.

  • RWB Alert Inbox Subscription No Alert Categories found

    Hi,
In RWB> Alert Inbox> Subscription link, I could not find any Alert Categories.
    Alert Inbox wokrks fine.
In the RWB> Alert Categories, every thing works fine and I can see the alert categories.
We r on NW 2004S PI 7.0 Service Pack 09.
    reg,

    Hi,
You should have the subscription authorization!
While defining the Alert Category in ALERCATDEF, you need to go to Sunscription Authorization and then give the roles who can subsrbie to this alert.
Then log on to the Alert inbox with an user id that has the same role and you will be able to see the Alert Categories.

  • HT4137 I am trying to follow the steps suggested in To restore you device from a previous backup, unfortunately the device is appearing in the list of devices. The sync option under devices is not also active. How can I resolve this?

I was trying to setup a new ipad. After resetting and erasing the content on the ipad, I would like to restore the ipad from the old backup. Unfortunately the device is not appearing in the list of devices. The sync option under devices is not also active. How else can I restore the ipad?

Sorry, you can't extract those photos from the old device unless you restore the new phone from that backup.
You could of course use a third party software to extract those pics but it will cost you.
If you still have the old phone import those pics to your computer and then sync those photos to your new phone via itunes.

  • Removing an alert. Changing alert state. Resetting an alert

I received a malware alert in SCCM 2012 R2 and it was quarantined by Endpoint Protection. I am thankful for the alert and the functioning email subscription.  Now, I can't find a way to remove, reset, or just simple acknowledge the alert in
active alerts.  I need it to go back to normal so I can quickly look and verify that currently, everything is good.  Also, under monitoring>Endpoint Protection Status> Malware Detected, lists all of the malware that has been found since we
installed the server.  Is there any way of removing these, short of the thought of removing in SQL?

    Hi,
It is not a good idea to remove anything from database unless you are under the direction of MS product support.
Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help. If you have feedback for TechNet Subscriber Support, contact [email protected]

  • How are active alerts cleared/closed?

In the process of configuring SCOM 2012 R2, I have had several critical and warning alerts posted.  I believe I have corrected the conditions resulting in (some of) the alerts, but the alerts are still listed as active.
I have rebooted the SCOM Server (also containing the associated SQL DB) and I have tried flushing the cache.  Nothing I have tried seems to cause these alerts to transition to inactive/closed because the condition has been corrected.
So two questions: First, how am I to know if I really corrected the condition if the alert never seems to close?  Second, how can I get SCOM to reevaluate the ENTIRE state of which it is aware/monitoring to determine of old alerts have been corrected
or new conditions are broken?  (So I KNOW there is no stale information around.)
Other SC components seem to have this capability (DPM in particular) but I have not been about to find it with SCOM.
    - Mark

If its an alert based off a rule it will not close, you will have to close it.
If its an alert based off a monitor, in most cases it should close itself when it detects a healthy condition. Not all monitors will expose their criteria of a healthy condition outright, but if you click on "view or edit the settings of this monitor"
under alert actions in the console when the alert is highlighted you can get to the monitor properties. in there if you check the configuration, knowledge, or various other tabs you can often times figure out what its looking for.
Some Monitors wont close themselves. To find out if this is the case go back to the "view or edit the settings of this monitor" and look at the health tab. Some monitors will have something like "manual reset" in the monitor condition
or operational state (i cant rememeber which off hand). In this case you can reset the the health of the monitor in the health explorer view.
in the case of alerts that dont close themselves you wont really have a cut and dry answer as to whether or not the condition its alerting on is no longer occuring. Product knowledge from the monitor/rule or internet research will sometimes get you going
in the right direction. Do you have a couple examples of the alerts you are recieving? it might help in narrowing down answers to your questions.
One other thing to mention is if its a monitor(s), somtimes things will get in a funky state where you have an alert that wont go away, yet the health for the monitor shows all green in health explorer. In these cases which shouldnt be too often i  believe
it is ok to just close the alert.

  • Alert Categories - Can they be used for Non-BPM scenarioes?

    Hi experts,
I have a quick question and it's regarding the question I posted yesterday on:
How do I configure an auto-email alert for Adapter engine errors
Will I be able to send alerts for Adapter Engine errors (Through the use of Alert Categories), if I am not using BPM?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
From your answer, can I confirm that alerts I defined in ALERTCATDEF can be used by for Non-BPM interfaces?
The essential difference between BPM and Non-BPM alert triggering is BPM allows a control step to trigger an alert.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
    Thanks.

My laptop says it is connected to our wifi but it also says alert: you are not connected to the internet! Does anyone know how I can fix this/has it happened to anyone? Thanks

This usually indicates a problem with your router or cable modem, your ISP's service or cabling outside your house.  First thing I'd try is rebooting the router/cable modem (turn it off, wait 1 minute, then turn it back on).

  • That annoying "file activity" alert

what on earth is that "file activity" alert I always get now, whenever I go back to DW from having been on anoter app?  this happens only on the mac, not on the pc at work...  on the mac it didn't used to happen at the beginning, right after I had installed DW, about two months or so ago, but now I get it all the time, also whenever I click on the left, where the list of files is...  how can I hide this PERMAMENTLY??
    thank you...

Figures. I was looking through preferences but never even saw that little button in the left corner. I've just been clicking away from it in frustration all this time without even looking it over in depth. Thanks.

  • Creating Alert of Activity Task

    Hi,
I need to create an alert when activity "Task" was created because SAP does not send reminder for Task.
I know the table to refer is OCLG, Action= T, User = field "AttendUser" and create the query.
However, how do I find out the current user who login?
Eg: Bob has created a Task for 20th June 2007.  When Bob login, a reminder/alert needs to be sent when he login/mailbox refresh.
This can only be done if I know that it is Bob login, not other users.  Otherwise, all users will see all tasks for other users instead he/herself.
    Appreciate your share of thoughts.

    Hi,
Thanks for responding, no, I am not looking for the license file.
Basically, what I need to achieve is when a user login, I can send an alert with a list of tasks they have schedule for the day.
In order to do so, I need to know who is the current user login.
