S_ALR_87012332 Not Giving 0 Total
Hi
I am running transaction S_ALR_87012332 and selecting GL Accounts, Assets, Materials, Customers and Vendors with all items. I am expecting the overall total to be zero but it is not. Am I misunderstanding how this report should work or is something else wrong?

If you are having any non-reconciliaton G/L accounts for which line item display is not ticked or vice versa, then the balance may not become zero. Additional check the balance in Retained earnings account too.
Also please check for any authorization issue.

Disco 9i - Totals tool is not giving me totals?
No matter what column I use the Totals (Grand Total at Bottom) tool on, I don't get a total. When it by subtotals, I will get a subtotal if there is only one row. If there are more than one row I won't get a subtotal either.

It sounds as though you have a set of data that cannot or should not produce a total. More than likely you are using more than folder in the report.
Its possible that you are in a fan trap situation and you are pulling detail items into the report. Discoverer will not subtotal or total detail items when a fan trap is detected.
Try changing the properties of the join to become 1:1. Discoverer will not think there is a fan trap in this scenario although in reality there is still a cartesian join so the results might be unexpected. Notice that I said might be. Discoverer does not know for certainty when a fan trap is true, all it knows is that given the joins in use there could be and so it does not take the risk.
Another possibility is that you have come across the scenario where Discoverer has detected repeating values for the item being aggregated. Let's say you have a Order Header folder and on there is a column called Total Quantity that contains a rolled up total of the quantities on all of the lines. If you now pull a detail item from the Order Lines folder and there was more than one line per order then the possibility exists for the rolled up Total Quantity to be multiplied by the number of lines that are found. This will result in an incorrect summation and Discoverer will not compute it.
At this point, most users say that Discoverer is hopeless and export the data to Excel. Because Excel knows nothing about the underlying data it will create the subtotals and totals but they will be wrong. The sad thing here is the overreliance on Excel and the assumption that it is always correct and in this case the truth could not be more wrong. I'm not saying you are doing this but throwing this out as a warning to anyone reading this who might be tempted to suggest you export it to Excel and get it to add them up.
Typically, whenever Discoverer does not compute a total there is a very good reason why not. That something either lies with the joins between folders being wrong or with their being an issue with the underlying data or because the user who built the report did not have a good understanding of the database.

You might also want to check how the availabilty is carried out, whats the replinishment lead time - anything mentioned there. Generally if you take RLT into consideration - then the unfulfilled qty is shown at the end of RLT.
Not too clear at this moment on the dates you have mentioned, bit hard to read.
Am curious too, why this is happening. -
Crystal Report Not giving output

I created a crystal report in XI R2 based on a Multiprovider. Though the Multiprovider is active and the DSO has the Data correctly activated, the crystal report is not giving the output.
Could someone please tell the reasons...also i have checked the server connections as well..they are right.
Please give me the options to chk some more criterias.

i am an IT manager for a bank. we have several company owned iphones. WE have also implemented a mobile device management system to manage our iphones.
We setup acompany based itunes account, trying to share itunes on bank owned devices. This way i can add bank approved apps to the devices through our itunes account and push out to the iphones, and no one can download any other non bank approved apps.
it has been working ok. but recently i had one user who came in. He went to enter in his itunes account on the phone and didn't work. So then came back and my staff and myself have (as much as we can see) removed his email account itunes login from all sections in settings. and entered in our itunes account information, but when you go to the app store, and hit upgrade, it still shows his email account for itunes. I feel like i can't get all devices to keep our shared password on them without requesting user to enter password (which i am not giving them)
How can i troubleshoot his device. i tried changing password 5 times today, rebooted device, and no change.
Jenn McGlynni have an MDM application, and i push out the apps i want them to have with our IT apple id account. for some reason when two approved apps needed updating last week, they prompted him for our password. (which i told him to bring phone in and i would enter password).
but somehow he went to try to enter his personal to make it work (don't know why)
somewhere it's keeping his personal email. i went into itunes/apps and our apple id is in there.
there is nothing in icloud b/c we do not allow icloud, so that's clear. -
I'm setting up Apple IDs, and its not giving me the option to set up a rescue email. I've set up Apple ID's in the past, and its always given me the option. How can I add a rescue email?

You can edit or delete your rescue email address at My Apple ID. To edit your rescue email address:

After you've validated your identity by correctly answering your security questions, click Edit to the right of your rescue email address.

Is it possible to download iOS 5 from one iMac on two ipads and not get them totally wiped of apps and stuff. We have an iPad each and a communal email address and an iCloud address each. One iPad now is totally screwed up.

I am somewhat new to iOS and OS having grown up with DOS and Windows. I am not familiar with IMAP and iCloud and I am not even sure which types of servers my various emails use.
The problem I would anticipate with iCloud is that (I assume) it would limit my access to data (including mail) on the iCloud to when I happen to be logged onto the internet. I also assume(?) that large files (photos etc.) would require some time to download whenever I wish to access them from whichever device I happen to be using (I hope I am wrong about this).
I have kept my devices to 500gb - 1TB for OS and 32gb - 128gb for iOS but since I have pretty slow WiFi (shared with DirecTV Whole Home and Netflix streaming) it is my impression that iCloud might be quite limited due to data transfer times.
Perhaps a factor would be that I have 2 DSL lines and my main DSL line is connected to two wireless routers (to also provide WiFi in a metal building that blocks WiFi and Cellular signals)
I may be totally wrong in my assumptions regarding iCloud. My mail is not so urgent that I need access to it instantly and I could wait until I had internet access or I can get it on my iPhone. My main concern with iCloud would be my data files (Word, Pages, Excel, Numbers etc.).
On the other hand, if I wanted to keep my 10,000 emails that would take up a lot of iCloud memory and I don't know how to measure how much storage it would take or how to move Hotmail or even iCloud mail to iCloud.
It may take me some time to figure this out. -

When converting a PDF document to word, the word count feature is not giving me the number of words
I have been using Acrobat for converting PDF documents to Word. It had been working just fine, but lately, when I convert a PDF document to Word, it is not giving me the word count, which is why I subscribed in the first place. Someone has any idea of why?

I would recommend you to use Acrobat software to convert this pdf file, Acrobat software enable you to customize the conversion settings.

After downloading and installing acrobat, Open pdf file in Acrobat, go to File menu -> Click 'save as other' -> Microsoft Word -> Word Document.
A pop-up window will appear that would prompt you to choose the file to be converted, after you select the file, click on the settings button on the bottom left of the pop-up window and choose 'Retain Page layout' under layout settings, click ok and then save.

System not giving Forward date when Material will be available
Dear All,
I have a problem of system not giving me the forward date when material will be available in the schedule line. I will give you an example - say material - A01 , stock of same is - 500 qty available. Availability check - 02(Individual reqt), all other MRP controllers also set properly.
Now i create Sales order for the same material for 650qty, system confirming 500qty but not giving me the confirmed date when rest 150qty will be available in the schedule line.
Kindly tell me which config setting needs to be enabled to get this in sales order.

If there's none, and you still want to have a confirmation after the replenishment lead time, maintain the RLT in material master, and use/define an ATP check that is taking in consideration RLT.
If there's such an element, use/define/review ATP checking logic, to include such elements in the check. -
My mail is not working from my iPod touch. I looked it up and it says it trouble shooting? But they are not giving me anything to fix it. I restored my iPod touch to see if that worked and it didnt. Can anyone help me?

Ipod touch 4th gen needed a new screen and sleep/wake switch. So, I replace them. I was able to get to settings and do "erase all content and settings". I am not able to totally shut this device off as it keeps restarting after a few seconds. I have used itunes to restore and also recover. Device will actually shut off and stay shut off if I leave it connected to the computer. The moment I unplug (3 seconds) the apple logo appears, it boots, unlock screen appears, I can unlock and operate normally, unplugged or not. Just cant get it to completely shut down unplugged. Any thoughts?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem. Maybe you installed a bad component or damaged something during the repair/replacement.
Apple will not help since you worked on the iPod yourself. -

i havent upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 4.3. Now when i try to back up in itunes, it doesnt recognise my iphone, but sees it as a camera, not giving me the links i need to back up. I have removed itunes completely and downloaded it new.
