S/C approved..but no backend document exist

Hello SRM Gurus,
    I have witness a strange problem for one of my shopping cart..S/C is completely approved but no backend document is created w.r.t it...there is no entry in table BBP_PDBEI for field BE_OBJECT_TYPE & BE_OBJECT_ID (fields are empty in BBP_PD)
    Also in table CRM_JEST(Status table)entry is missing for following status which appears once the document is posted.

I have tried to push this S/C manually by FM " BBP_REQREQ_TRANSFER & BBP_REQREQ_RESUBMIT" But doesn't produce any desirable result.
Not finding any way to dig into the problem?? please help if u have any solution..

Hi,
Generally, if the SC is approved and but no document gets created in backend, a good place to look for problems
will be the application monitors (assuming you have the authorization for this transaction). If you have this authorization, then, once you go to bbpstart, then on the left side of your screen you have the application monitors - which shows various errors occuring at various levels.
Mostly, one of the areas like Backend Application errors, Not transferred to backend etc, throws more light on what the nature of the error is. In most cases, these point to some configuration errors or configurations that need to be checked.
Please let me know if you have checked the application monitors.

1) Ensure that the pricing procedure is in line with standard JFACT
2) Ensure that in sale order / billing, values against JEX2, JECX & JA1Y are in blue colour
3) Ensure that in OBA7, for document type EX, boxes under the tab "Account types allowed" are ticked
4) Ensure that the object what you assigned in OBA7 against the field "Number range" is maintained in FBN1

No Backend Document created

we have setup extended classic scenario in SRM 7. The Shopping Cart creates a local PO but there is no backend PO created. We do not see any errors in RZ20 or ST22. Are we missing any config? Appreciate any inputs.

SC approved but no PO

SRM 4.0 Extended Scenario
My SC has been fully approved and its current status is 'Item in Transfer Process X'. Its been in the same status for more than 4 days. This happens at offten times only not for every SC.
I tried below fms but unable to succeeded.
BBP_PD_SC_TRANSFER, BBP_PD_SC_RESUBMIT
and also i tried CLEAN_REQREQ_UP, BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and table BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB.
I also checked Application monitor and there is no error relating to this SC.
I am bit curious to know, what is the function module behind the 'Create purchase order' button in the Purchaser's worklist under Sourcing?
Is there any manual way to create local PO based on SC status 'I1111 Item in Transfer Process X' ?
Could you kindly share any further ideas to check if you have?.

Which SRM version and which SRM scenario are you using ?
Try the following points, but carefully read all the documentation first.
PO creation from SRM happen via function module BAPI_POEC_CREATE rather BAPI. This is a remotely enabled FM. You can set break-point in this FM and can enable debugging from front end,it can start debuging in SRM Easy access menu.Please take help from Basis on this. There is no idoc involved in this process.

If your SC is considered as complete by SRM (but with a fixed vendor and not a preferred vendor) the system will check if it can create a PO in R/3.
For this, each item will request a META_INTERPRETE_DATA to R/3, asking if it can create a PO. If R/3 considers this data as incomplete, it will reply to create a PR.
Usual cases of R/3 PR creation instead of PO:
- prefered vendor in SRM (and not a fixed one)
- custom checks in user exits in R/3
- error messages in R/3 (ex: O6 334 In the case of a fixed vendor, please enter info record)

Check in table BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB if any follown on document available wrt to SC...
also you can do one thing...open SC in BBP_PD transaction...select line item & check for Follow-On Document Object ID in Backend in table BBP_PDBEI...
also meka esute that this document is created in R/3..if follow on document is available in R/3 then it's a problem with BBP_GET_STATUS_2..

Some backend documents could not be generated or are incorrect - Contract

Hi SRM Experts,
I am trying to create Contract with Carry out Sourcing and reference to Shopping Cart. But, I am able to create Contract with Error like "Some backend documents could not be generated or are incorrect". Please let me know do I need to do any configuration settings or implement OSS Note to fix for my problem.
Kind Note: System is not updating Purchasing Organisation and Purcgasing Group at Contract Header Level. I treid to use BAdI (change BAdI) to update Organisation details - got Organisation details from Shopping Cart and updated in Contract change BAdI (Org Structure).
SRM Version: 4.0 with Extended Classic scenario.

Hi Muthu / SRM Gurus,
I removed BAdI implementation for Contract. I am still gettign error message.
When I create contract from Carry Out Sourcing I am geeting error message "Some backend documents could not be generated or are incorrect" and when I create contract with Process Contract I am not getting any error.
Can anyone guide me or suggest me to fix this issue?

PO routed for approval but the PO does not require release

Hi Guys i have an issue,
My ECC PO Routed for approval, but the PO doesnot requre Release as its was below the approval limit. Workflow should not be routed , but then also the user got the Workitem

Iam not sure about what iam proposing but, take a look at this SPRO settings in the prodcution system.
1. See based on the release code that is sent to workflow , the workitem will be sent to user or not.
2. Copy release code that is passed to workflow container (you can get this from workflow log technichal details SWIA or SWI1)and check in the table T16FC, if the entry is found then check the field FRGWF - Role resolution for workflow is initial or not if it is not initial then try to make it initial and then trigger the workflow.
here the possible vallues in the field FRGWF are 1 or 9 if any one of them is set with respect to that releasecode , i think that indicates that the workflow will try to determine the release code agent from t he defined organizational structure.
if you make it initial then, i hope the workitem will not be sent to the releasecode agent.

Giving multilevel approval in Posting a document in FBV0

Hi Experts,
We are in need of giving four levels of approval while posting a document using FBV0. But once a singel level approves the document obviously will get posted. We need to change the status of the parked document(Parking done using FV75) for three levels, when parking is attempted in FBV0. Only for the final final level posting can be done. Is it possible to handle this is user exits of FBV0. Please advise to proceed further.

Absnce status is pending for approval, but supervisor dont get request

Hi experts
If i apply for absence and sumbit it, dann staus = PEnding for Approval, but my supervisor didn't get my request to approve my holidy request.
Question: Why he /sehe will not get any entry in his page (Action pending for approval).
Any suggestion????.

I think in this case the approver to whom you are expecting approval request will go, its not going to that person, instead of that it is going to someone else.
To find from backend to whom it is going
Give this query
select * from HR_API_TRANSACTIONS
find out the item_key (Make sure item key is of your transaction only)
select * from WF_ACTIVITY_STATUSES where item_key = (as got from above statement)
now under this find the username that is specified against 'NOTIFIED'..
This is the username with whom the notification is pending,
Approve from this user, transaction will proceed further.

this, after normal behavior for more than a year since purchase of the iPod.

- This concerns an iPod nano 6th gen. and iTunes 11.0.2 (26) on System 10.6.8

I’d begun syncing an iPhone via iTunes.
I sync manually (“manually manage music and videos”). The first time this happened, I wanted to delete seventeen podcast episodes (all belonging to one podcast) existing on the iPod — but they didn’t show up in iTunes. I tried re-downloading them and re-syncing, to see if the new versions would somehow “re-link” to iTunes. They didn’t. Only one — new — episode appeared in iTunes.
I ultimately reset the iPod and manually resynced all the podcasts I currently had on iTunes. That worked, though I had to painstakingly add in all the other content deleted by the reset.
So: after that reset and manual sync, all podcasts and episodes on the iPod were visible to iTunes and I was able to delete the podcast and its — now 18 — episodes I’d wanted to get rid of to begin with. But the next time I connected the iPod, only 8 podcast episodes out of 21 episodes total existing on the iPod were visible to iTunes. These are different podcasts; I’d deleted the original “invisible” ones.
By “visible,” I mean in the “Podcasts” list view under “[name]’s iPod” in the iTunes sidebar. If I select “[name]’s” iPod in the iTunes sidebar and the “Podcasts” tab, all podcasts and episodes are visible, though greyed out because I’m set to sync manually. It’s unclear to me if these are the podcasts on the iPod or those currently in iTunes, as they are currently the same. If I switch to syncing automatically, all content on the iPod will be lost again, so I’m not up to trying it at the moment.
As I said, this involves only podcasts. All other content on the iPod does appear in iTunes.

I have the same problem- i see my movies in the ipod section in itunes and they even show as mpeg4 in the 'kind' section but they dont have that small TV icon next to them. if i play these in itunes, they play fine- but try playing them on the ipod and all you hear is the sound and no picture. All videos that i manually transfer work fine in the beginning- its when i hook up the ipod to the comp again and start itunes- they start showing up without the 'tv' icon!! i have to again transfer them from the itunes library to activate them as videos.

The Videos are showed up front 4 months, but now they are no longer to be seen. When you star a video first the hard drive starts, but then it stops and hangs up. I have to restart it, starting with the apple logo....

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

Thank you, but after an hour with apple support on the phone we came to the conclusion that the documents are lost... So the lesson is, don't trust icloud as a back up solution! A month worth of work down the drain...

How to restrict the user to change the project structure but not the documents?

I have created one project assigning different users in Solution manger. I want to risitrict some of the users to change the project structure but simultaneously allwoing the project documents to be created, edited or deleted using solar01 under Project documentation tab. For that I have followed the steps provided in the follwoing link.

I am able to restrict the users to change the project structure, but I am not able to allow access to the project documents. It gives me the message "You are not authorised to change the project". Basically there are 2 different authorization role ...you should look for and customize as per requirement in Z* namespace.
role - SAP_SOLAR01_ALL
this take care of objects in Solar01 like tab access etc
role -SAP_SOL_KW_ALL
this takes care of entire documentation within solman
