S order to billing

Hi,
Without creating delivery can we do sales order to billing.If it is possible please give me the customization process of sales order to billing.

Hi,
It is possible to have a order to Billing.
Eg.For a service industry,where in delivery does not come in to picture.
Following are few configuration that are required for Order to Billing with out delivery.
1.Go to document control (transaction code vov8 then select under billing as F1 as default billing type.
2.Go to item category screen control(vov7)select billing relevance as 'B'.

    Dear Gurus
    when doing VF04, I get a list of billing due documents that have an error status:-
    'the document is not relevant for billing''
    when I check this sales document, I see that it's ''open''. Only preceeding document  here is a quotation.
    My question is, why does this document still feature in the billing due list ? There is no delivery , no PGI  done , yet the document is on a billing due list.
    so my guess is this is a service related S.O.
    but I want to confirm this here.
    Can someone guide me here.

    check in item category VOV7 weather it  is Order related billing or delivery related billing
    Also check in Item category The Item relavent for delivery or not

  • Invoice is not getting created in Order related billing

    Dear all,
    I am trying to do a Order related billing. After creating the order i am going to VF01 and selecting the billing type i have created and trying to create the invoice. I am getting the error "No billing documents were generated. See log" when i am checking the Log its showing now errors.
    In case if my account determination procedure is wrong, system should allow me to create a Sales invoice and accounting document will not be generated. But in this case even the sales invoice is also not getting created.
    Please suggest me if there are any configuration changes i need to do to overcome this problem.

    Apart from the suggestion already given, also ensure that
    the order is not showing in incomplete log
    the order is not blocked for credit limit
    You can also cross check in VF04 whether system is fetching that sale order.  For information, once you execute VF04, by default, system will check only "Delivery related" check box.  You have to manually select "Order related" check box.

    We have a scenarion, wherein we are working with Sales Order Based Billing.
    We are in the process of Implementing CIN with TAXINN.
    Is it possible to create excise invoice for the scenarion of Sales Order based billing, instead of delivery based billing.
    If yes, what are the steps we need to follow to configure the same.

    We have make the supplementary Invoice (Debit Note) as per below process
    1) Create sales order_VA01
    2) Create billing document_VF01_with reference to sales order
    3) Create Excise Invoice With J1IS (Other Movement) It is manually job & due to heavy work load (create 200 invoice  per day) it is not possible to do manually.
    Hence we want to create excise Invoice with J1IIN instead of J1IS, any alternative solution for that?

    I can confidently tell that an enhancement or an user exit has been applied in your scenario
    You have to check that
    Normally when creating a sales order with respect or referring billing documents the qty will be in editable mode and it is standard problem
    Your people has solved the standard problem by enhancement
    Usually OR--LF-PGI----F2 (SAY THE QTY IS 25 UNITS)
    Now you are creating returns order with reference to F2 in the return order type Re there is a standard issue that user can edit the qty to 30 from the original 25
    To solve this only your people have used userexit
    Line items and qty greyed out means definately there is some enhancement or user exit applied
    You have to check that

  • Foreign Trade / Intrastat - data order-related billing (downpayments)

    Hi,
    Shortly we have implemented the down payment functionality in our flows. Because downpayments require order-related billing the intrastat/foreign trade data is not copied into the closing invoice.
    Apparently it is only possible to copy the data from a delivery.
    We are in a make-to-order environment and we still create deliveries but because of the down payments, the invoice is created from the sales order and hence no intrastat data is copied which ofcourse is required ...
    Can't find a suitable user exit for filling this data into the billing document. Also tried using copy data transfer (vofm) filling up tables eikp and eipo but that didn't work.
    The only option open for me at the moment is creating a proforma invoice automatically from the delivery. This document can then be included in the intrastat reporting.
    Is there another solution ?

    Hi,
    in the copy control between order and invoice you need to set the 'determine export data' to 'B' so that it will be redetermined in the invoice. After that the relevant foreign trade userexits will work as well.

    The credit memo is issued even if the return delivery and the goods receipt are not created as it is order related billing except if you put a billing block on the return order but as soon as you will remove the billing block on the return order, the credit memo will be issued event if delivery is not created and goods have not been received.
    This is strange but certainly german people are confident enough to reimburse their customers even if the goods have not yet been received.

  • Difference amount in sales order and billing document (For one line item)

    Hi Experts,
    User created sales order with 3 line items and billing document. but problem is that there is difference in value of sale order and billing only for line item 10. The remaining items values are same in sales order & billing doc.if I check in sales order condition I found that VPRS condition is used and the value is 692.13and the amount is 3245.26in sales order. But if suppose I check the same value in billing doc the value is 0.69 and the amount is 3245.28. Can u suggest me which configuration I have to check for this.
    I also checked change lock but there is no change in sales and billing document & Material

    Now consider this scenario
    Item a - 10
    Item b - 20
    Item c - 30
    and the validity of condition rec for item C is 31st of Jan
    after 31st JAN the record changes or there isn't any.
    In Copy control the pricing type is 'B' i.e., carry out new pricing.
    Now if the document is created in January it will take all the above prices. and this document is then billed in Feb. Now the copycontrol, whilst copying the prices, will predetermine the same.
    Now your task is to check if there was user intervention, check the pricing in order and check what condition types got affected in order and in billing.
    If your scenario is still not amongst the above cases...
    I don't know what to do, if you figure out please let us also know, god know when we would face the same scenario....

  • How to close the Return Order from Billing due list

    Dear Gurus,
    This is the scenario of Free subsequent delivery with the reference of Return Delivery.
    In brief-->
    I created one sales order and done its normal delivery and billing. So this order to cash cycle is completed.
    Then due to the damage in transit of some material customer wants to return some good and ask for the subsequent delivery of same goods.
    therefore I create a return sales order with the reference of previous sales order and and do the return delivery. Here I am not making the credit note as I have to make the subsequent delivery for the return order.
    So I create the sales order for subsequent delivery with the reference of Return order and do the delivery.
    Now I have the query that when I run the billing due list (VF04) I get the same return order in billing due list as I have not created the credit memo with its reference. And the return order will remain there always. But I dont want that return order to appear in the billing due list as I have done the subsequent delivery for that return order.
    Please tell me how the return order's status can be made completed to avoid it in billing due list.
    Please suggest me all the possible solutions to complete the scenario.

    The SDF has to be created with refernce to the Sales Order only.
    In Brief:-
    When ever the goods are damaged in transit,generally we ask them to scrap the damaged goods and then decide what to do like
    1) Either to give a credit note to the customer for the damaged goods.
                          or
    2)Replace the Goods by SDF.

  • Cost in Sales Order and Billing not match

    Dear all,
    I am facing a problem that the cost in Sales Order and Billing (order-related billing) not match.
    The error seems related to sales order is getting moving price (MBEW-VERPR) as cost but billing is calculated by issued amount / qty.
    Here's the detail (refer to the screen captures).
    Sales qty = 1330 PC.
    Local currency = HKD, sales doc currency = RMB, exchange rate = 1.26215.
    Condition type ZCSR, condition category = G (Internal price).
    When creating sales order ,
      Cost is take from MBEW-VERPR => 1.86 HKD
      Cost converted to doc currency =>  1.473 RMB => 1.47 RMB
      Total amount = 1,330 x 1.47 = 1,955.10 RMB
    When creating billing from the delivery note,
    Cost seems taking from total value divided by total stock in the article doc.
    Cost = 2,477.82 / 1,330 = 1.863022556390 HKD => 1.476 RMB => 1.48 RMB.
    Total amount = 1330 x [(2,477.82 / 1,330) / 1.26215] = 1,963.17 RMB
    My goal is to align the same cost and amount in sales order and billing.

    However it doesn't work.

  • Sales order quantity billed instead of delivered quantities?

    Hello.  I am having an issue with billing delivered quantities.  This is the scenario:
    3rd party, non stock materials, are assigned to a network activity in cj20n.  These items generate a PR which is then converted to a PO and goods receipt is posted to the network activity. A sales order is created and assigned to this wbs.  Delivery from project is then carried out in CNS0 and picking and goods issue is posted in vl02n.  If full quantity received to project is not issued out in vl02n, upon billing in vf01, the total sales order quantity is billed.  How do I alter my configuration such that only delivered quantities are billed?

    Its seems that your sales order quantity billing issue has been solved.If it is solved then kindly share with us,how the problem has been solved.As there prices are not picking in the billing document, so please check the pricing type that has been maintained in the VTFL copy control.Secondly also check in VOV7 wheather item category is relevant for pricing has been maintained or not.
    You get the delivery document to determine prices from sales order to delivery through copy controls.
    NOTE:If the issue(Sales order quantity billed instead of delivered quantities) has been solved then kindly close the thread and  post your issue through new thread

  • Profit Center was not maintained during order n billing creation.

    I'm facing a problem of Profit Center. User created a service material, maintenance contract. They created a Billing Document as it is order related billing. Accounting document was not generated when saving invoice. When I got to the bottom of this I realized no costing tabs were ever maintained for material type services. (Henceforth no Profit Center in Sales Order n Invoice).
    I have done the necessary config n assignments but question now is what should I do as in billing doc  the field is greyed out it will not allow me to assign Pr Center now. I am thinking that this may work if I cancel the billing document and then go back to sales order and try and changing the field, then re-create the invoice. I'm trying to avoid canceling. Is there any program, bapi, user exit I may use to re assign or make system re check the MM while saving invoice to allow accounting document to be created?  This is one scenario.
    2nd scenario is similar but in the case of this contract everything was made. Accounting document was cleared even but with some dummy weird Profit Center. (No proft center in Order nor invoice.) Whole problem at first in this scenario is User saying everything is complete so status in doc flow should show maintenance contract as complete but wasn't. it showed being processed. I discovered no completion rule was maintained. I maintained E Full target value referenced but status still has not changed any idea guys? (New config not showing on old existing data only show on new document, concept?) Is there a program or anything to make system update status doc flow? aside from this Profit center  incompletion log is coming in Contract. Not maintained in order or invoice.

    In one of my earlier projects, a similar requirement was putforth by users and we had developed a zee tcode to change the profit center in billing document via SM30 which can be done only by FI authorised users.

    Hi Gurus,
    I have special requirement.
    In third party Processing we want to do statistical goods Goods Receipt.
    generally we do billing based on the setting in Item category TAS billing relevance "F" So system will allow billing once we do MIRO.
    Now i want to Do billing based on GRN.. is there any way for that????
    I tried with the option "G" . but it is not working. Is there any Settings i need to in Copy controls.?????

    You can make the control setting as to whether the invoice receipt quantity or the goods receipt quantity should be relevant for billing in the copy control for billing on the item level in the billing quantity field.
    In Customizing, choose Sales and Distribution -> Billing -> Billing documents -> Maintain Copying Control for Billing Documents -> Copying Control: Delivery to Billing Document -> Item, then select an item category.

  • Order related billing

    I am trying to create order related billing. The material is a service, but i need to have a delivery created in the background.
    I have created an order and the delivery is created automatically.
    But when i am trying to create an invoice F1 against this sales order the log shows
    Order quantity 1 not equal to goods issue 0.
    in the item category the billing relevance is 'B" relevant for order related  billing  - status according to order qty.
    In the copy control for F1 billing type and orer type OR the billing quantity indicator is 'C' order quantity. 
    Can someone suggest the reason for the error message.

    HI,
    Order related billing is applicable to service order processing. So, there is no need of delivery document here.
    For your case:
    In a delivery document the u2018Delivery quantityu2019 and u2018Picked Quantityu2019 should be same. In your case, the picked quantity is zero. This is the reason for error message. The picking quantity should be 1.
    You can make the item as u2018Not relevant for pickingu2019 at Delivery item category level in customization. Then the Picked quantity field will be greyed. It will not throw error.
