Sales Area, Organizational Model and Territory Management

Dear Experts,
I'm meeting unexpected system behaviour (CRM Release 2007) during the configuration of the territory management, below the steps I have done:
1. Define a new Employee from BP transaction
2. Go to "Organizational Model", create a new position under the existing organizational unit and assign the new BP to it.
3. Go to "Maintain Territory Hierarchy", add a regional level to the existing structure, add the new BP and set the appropriate territory attributes.
4. Go to "Maintain sales area for territories from Org. Model", select the new regional level and click on "Show Sales Areas". The system shows as attributes status "Position 50000125 has no sales areas".
Where can I set the sales area for the territory?
Thanks in advanced for your help.
Kind regards,
Alberto

Hi,
In TCODE CRMM_TERRMAN under the tab where the positions for a territory are assigned,
check if Territory attributes are maintained. There should be SA_SALES_AREA maintained here.
Also in TCODE PPOMA_CRM under the Function Tab check whether the Sales Area for the position is maintained.

  • Org model/structure, territory management:

    Hi All,
Can some one tell breifly about Org model/structure, territory management & how tomaintain them?.
    Thanks, Sudeep..

    Hi Sudeep,
Organizational Management allows you  to set up your companyu2018s organizational structure.
You can use this flexible tool to maintain the company structure, including the positions and employees in an application, and assign specific attributes to the organizational units. Organizational Management allows you to specify organizational data automatically in a business transaction using the organizational structure. It can also be used to determine business partners; for example, you can find the employee responsible for a business transaction.
You can further Select Determination of Data for Organization as per the following
Determination of Org Model via Organization Rule:
Determination of Org Model via responsibility
<Wizards to Create the Orgainsation Determination are available for Ease Creation of Determination Rule>
    Teritorry Management
Territory Management enables you to structure and organize your sales market by dividing it into territories according to criteria of your choice (such as size, distance, revenue, products, number of visits). The organizational model reflects the internal view of your organization. The territory hierarchy reflects the market view. Changes to the territory hierarchy usually occur more frequently than changes to the organizational model. The customer base can increase or decrease and territories must be resized or reallocated to accommodate this, to ensure that a sales representative has the appropriate workload.
Territory Management enables you to structure and organize your sales market by dividing it into territories according to criteria of your choice (such as size, distance, revenue, products, number of visits). These territories are structured in a territory hierarchy.
In Territory Hierarchy you can Classify Territories as per your Requirements

  • Sales area for STO and sales

    Dear all...
when we use ref sales org, ref dist channel and divisions (ref sales area) for STO purpose.
so is there any problem if we make sales using the same sales area to any customer?
    Please solve my query.
    Thanks...
    Deepak...

    Hi,
We wont required to create as many customer for different plant.
As you know plant is determined in the sales order from customer material info record or customer master data or material master data.
So if you have to many plant then donu2019t save any plant in customer material and in customer master data.
So it will fetch the plant from the material master data automatically.

  • Sales Area per doc and cross div per sales doc

    Hello Experts,
We know that a sales doc is tied to a Sales Area.
But a Customer can be extended to n Sales Areas.
So, please confirm is it true that a customer extended to n Sales Areas can only buy from 1 sales area per sales doc.
    Another related question:
Cross division sales is where a sales doc allows a customer to order products from n divisions.
But Sales doc is tied to Sales Area.
    So, where is the logic?
What is so specifial about div 00 that makes it cross division? Where is the setting for this div 00 that makes it cross-division?
    regards
    M Russo

    Hi
For better understanding of your first question regarding sales area, please read the IMG activity documentation for the customizing step "Assign sales areas to sales document types".
I guess you can find your answer for the second question regarding cross divisions is as given below:
Reference division for document types (by sales area)
Specifies a division as a reference for sales document types.
    Use
You can share sales document type data between different divisions. You define sales document types in a central division and then use it as a reference division. Each division to which you assign the reference can use the same sales document types defined in the reference division. The sales document types are maintained centrally in the reference division.
    Procedure
If all sales document types are allowed for all divisions, leave the field blank. Otherwise, enter the division you want to use as a reference.
    Example
    Division Reference division
    01 01
    02 01
    03 01
    04 04
In this example, only divisions 01 and 04 have sales document types defined. Divisions 01, 02, and 03 share the sales document types defined for division 01. Division 04 has its own sales document types. When you create a sales order in division 03, the system checks the sales document type against the types defined for division 01. You do not maintain sales document types in divisions 02 and 03, since they are never used.

  • Versioning of BPMN Process Models and Change Management

    Hi all,
Can any of you please provide insight on how can we do the following change management activities?
    1. Version Control of BPMN Models synchronized with the change management activities
    2. In the Help documentation, two roles called Improvement Manager and Modeler were mentioned. How do we define their roles in the Administration? In User Management I see only one function privilege "Change Management" and both Improvement Manager and Modeller will have this privilege. Than how they are distinguished in their roles?
    3. Does it also support a work flow and notification mechanism?
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Best regards,
    Raja Mohan

    Hi,
I'd just like to add some quick points that you need to consider:
Implicit version control is not supported in the current release (10.1.3.4) but it will be supported in Release 11 (upcoming release). There are some workarounds/alternatives like attributes (Status, Since/on, Released on, Released by, Release) and external version control system combined with the XML import/export functionality (Re: Control Version
The Change Management can be used to describe upcoming modeling tasks within the Business Process Architect. This implicates changes from IT, adding new objects, adjustments of models or control flow, etc... Especially it is suitable to document suggestions for future model improvements.
"Does it also support a work flow and notification mechanism?"I think this might be a governance topic that has to be created on your own.
    Hope it helps,
    Danilo

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Placido,
did you find a way to solve your problem? I've got the same problem. And in BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE I didn't find the right fields to change the district, sales office and sales group.

  • Sales Area - Delete and Renter in Customizing

    Can anyone advise this observation?
I deleted a sales area in configuration and later put it back.  But it seems to hv strange impact when i start creating SOs with existing customer and material.  System keep prompting the following error cos no plant was being proposed.  Why is message suggesting i shd assign to a 'blank' DC as indicated below?
    Thanks

Sales from sales organization, 1000 dist. chan., plant 1000
        Message no. V1369
    Diagnosis
Plant 1000 is not assigned to the sales area selected.

    Hi,
If it is not inter company sales document then i think no need of assigning plant to sales area..
In your case it seems to be you have not maintained plant in sales order..
Plant will be determined from customer master as first priority then material master as second priority then last manually in sales order..
So please check have u maintained any plant in customer master or not.. Even same with material master...
If not please give it mannually in sales order then try and let us know what error your are getting tehre...

  • Why do we have to use the sales area?

    Dear experts,
I was looking for SAP Documentation but couldn't find anything relevant.
I'm using CRM 5.0 and ERP 2005. I'd like to implement the following scenario:
    - Create BP / BA / Technical Object and contract in CRM
    - Replication in ISU
    - In ISU, we are using the contract partner (role MKK) with a SD Customer.
Can I implement this scenario without using sales area in CRM?
From my understanding, we need to set up the sales area in CRM for 2 main reasons:
Reason 1) Supported scenarios for BP replication
Option a) CRM sold to party without sales area <-> ISU contract partner without SD
Option b) CRM sold to party with sales area <-> ISU contract partner with SD
So SAP doesn't support the scenario: CRM sold to party without sales area <-> ISU contract partner with SD
Reason 2) We need the sales area to use sales transaction. For my scenario, i need to use service contract. so i need the sales area in CRM.
Could you please tell me if i am correct? I heard that some people manage to replicate the contract partner in ISU without using sales area in CRM. And the SD customer was correctly created. (Because the SD customer is automatically created when a contract partner is created in ISU).
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Stephanie

    Dear Vikash and dear Javier,
Thanks for your help. I am still confused with these sales area. But what you say is:
    - We can create a sold to party without sales area in CRM and it could be replicated into ISU as a contract partner with an SD customer.
    - To replicate the service contract into ISU, I need to assign to this document a sales area. Is it necessary because it will be replicated in ISU as an utilities contract and it's not an SD document? If the sales area are required, i will have to set up these sales area in the organizational structure (PPOMA_CRM). In this case, when I will create the service contract, I will have to determine the correct organisational structure based to some custom/specific rules?
Sorry for these riddiculous questions but it's hard for me to understand this sales area concept.
    Thanks again,
    Stephanie

  • Transferring Organizational Model

After the organizational model has been generated in CRM, can we transfer the sales structure to ECC (using delta upload), if at all if we modify the generated sales structure in CRM? Also if there are any changes made in ECC sales structure after the organizational model has been transferred to CRM, can we transfer the changes to CRM by installing the enhanced backend integration version of the CRM organizational model and copying entire sales structure from ECC to CRM?

    Hi Namrata,
I believe this generation of Organizational model has been done using report:
    CRM_ORGMAN_R3_ORGDATA_GENERATE.
Once you downlad an org structure from ECC, you cannot change it in CRM system. It can only be changed in the source system that is ECC.
Once you change the org structure in R/3, the changes wont be replicated back in CRM!!! Well, this is a disadvantage of doing it this way.
    A better way is:
    Create Org structure in R/3 and CRM independantly and then link them in CRM;
PPOMA_CRM-->Open your Org Unit >Functions Tab> select R/3 Sales org
In this case, you can make changes to org Units on both sides.
Hope the information is useful to you!
    Sharif.

  • Credit control sales area wise

    Dear Friends,
    Sales organisation model is
my company is distributor for all manufacturers,  it will take care of credit control
so  we proposed a sales area  which resembles like this Mumbai -glaxo- pharma,
    Mumbai -Novartis- pharma(sales org-disti chnl-divison) etc.
this sales areas will contain all customer and materials of glaxo
some of the stockists are stockists for both glaxo and novartis  so I extend the customer
    to one more sales area
if I maintain credit control areas w.r.t to sales area wise  what are the implications
    will ready to be happen?
how can I monitor the total credit for the customer?
is it necessary to assign a credit control at company code level?
The process i proposed here is
I will assign credit control at sales area level
and I will maintain credit limit details at FD32
so I can assign credit controls per sales area wise for same customer .
What are the pros and cons of this process?
    Waiting for replies,
    Thanks

    my dear,
Here my requirement is i will not assign any credit control area at company code level
i will assign cca at sales area level only, and it is working fine.
i need the PROS & CONS when i use like this way.

  • Error in sales area while creating sales order

Can anybody guide us in solving following issue-
While creating a sales order, if there is mismatch between customer sales area (Particularly division) and material master division-
1.the system is giving error message & not allowing to save the sales order for one sales area,
2.but at the same time it is giving warning message and allowing to save the sales order for other sales area.
    Thanks & Regards

    Dear Mrunal
Check in IMG --> Enterprise Structure --> Assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Business Area Account Assignment --> Define Rules by Sales Area whether the respective Sales Organization, Distribution Channel and Division are assigned.
    Also check in <b>OVXG</b>.
Either of the above is missing in your configuration and hence the error.
    Thanks

  • CRM Incentive and commission Management

    Hi
I have a scenario to implement incentive and commission management in the current project , where in we have crm server and backend R/3 we have and there is no BI server
Can any one send me the configuration steps to be done to implement ICM in CRM .
Is BI System is mandatory to implement ICM in CRM or without BI system also we can manage ?

    Hello Pradeep,
No, it is not mandatory to have BI to implement ICM. But what you have to consider is scenarios you will potentially could encounter that will change the data in the CRM system that will affect the ICM feed.
For you to configure CRM, first you need to start with configuring the ICM system. For this you would need to know atleast what business objecct you want to transfer and what your ICM system needs to look like interms of Organizational model and the commission contract structure. Without this, configuring CRM for ICM is not useful.

  • Pick and Pack Manager - Picked SO to deliver

    Hi,
I have various sales orders in pick and pack manager (picked tab) for the same customer.
When I choose two different sales order to deliver it brings everything to one single delivery. If I choose another two sales orders it puts them into two separate deliveries. Every sales order has a different pick list and they all have different delivery dates.  I can't figure out when each scenario happens. When are sales order copied to one single delivery?
    Thanks!
    Cristina

    Hi,
I've found the answer. It's in SAP Note 870655.
"The pick and pack manager creates the deliveries from the ship to adresse from the business partner.
If you change the ship to addresse on the BP after you have created the first sales order, you will have two sales orders with two different addresses and this is why you also will get two different deliveries."

  • Misssing sales area

    Hello Team,
We just added a new distribution Channel for a Sales Organization using Tcode PPOMA_CRM.
The newly added Dstribution Channel is not visible in the "Sales Area" for a BP.(i.e. in BP Screen).
Request you to advise, how to get this resolved. An early help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Sai

    Hi ,
I have gone through your query and answers. I think you first check into table KNVV(customer Sales Area data) table and if it is not there please maintain it. You can also check into VOPA transaction custmer master and check the Partner procedure assigned to your sales document type.
    thanks
