Sales Infostructure

hi all
What is the relationship between listing (KOTG link for customer) and updating the sales in the infostructure for reporting purpose.
When we do MCS1 analysis we are able to get the sales volume, but i was told by me colleague if this listing (KOTG link) is not maintained it does not get updated. Is that so?
If yes, could you please explain me in detail how the info structure is updated?
Also how is MCS1 is different from MCSI.

Sorry to say that, your question is not clear. Let me try to help you as per my understanding :
There is no relation between KOTG (Material listing/Exclusion) and sales Infostructure. Sales will be updated in to the info structures irrespective of material listing / Exclusion, if Info structure is configured properly.
Coming to the comparision of MCS1 and MCSI, MCS1 is the Tcode for Info structures with Application 41 (Logistics General) and MCSI is the Tcode for Infostructures with application 01 (Sales and Distribution).
Infostructure updation for a new Info structure:
1. Create an Infostructure
2. Create an Update group if required
3. Maintain update rules
4. Maintain and assign statistics groups for Sales document types/ Delivery types, Item categories, Customer, Material.
5. Mark the relevant billing document types for updation
6. Assing the update group at header level and Item level
7. Activate the infostructure for updation
All the above configuration can be done in IMG -> LG -> LIS -> Logistics data warehouse -> Data Basis/Updating.
You can simulate how the documents are getting updated in to the info strutures. Following are the Tcodes:
Sales order - MCVR
Delivery - MCVT
Billing document - MCVV

    Hi Gurus;
    Anyone does know how to get a report from LIS for Sales by Office but that includes Material as characteristic???
    I need to report the sales by plant, I have 3 plants but so far I know that is not possible by standard reporting, only is able by Sales Org, but I have also sales office defined in my company, but when I go trough this tx code MC-E - Sales  I didn't get the material ;(
    or if in the past there is any discussion, I'll appreciate you let me know.

  • Rebate, see rebate payments in user defined info structure (SIS)

    Hi Gurus...i hope you can help me
    The client need to see the rebate payments for each material in a user define info structure (S500) where the material is a characteristic of the infostructure and the payment is a ratio
    I get to show the accrued value per material but no the payment
    If the system show me the accrued value for at material level in a infostructure..i supose is possible to show the payment value?
    I did create a S520 info structure as copy of S060, but when i try to create a update rule for the payment ratio the system show me the follow message
    "Only source fields from MC communications structures allowed"
    please let me kow how i did wrong....

    Payments of rebates in SAP ERP are credit notes (billing documents).
    Therefore you should see them in the sales infosystem as billing documents.
    If you add the billing document type in the sales infostructure as a characteristic, then you will be able to report on rebate payments because they always have a specific billing document type.

  • Error determining posting period(infostructure S008,Variant Z2,RC3) while creating Sales orders from Inbound IDOCS

    Hello,
    I am getting this Error message"error determining posting period(infostructure S008,Variant Z2,RC3)" while creating Sales order from Inbound Idocs in the IDOC,which is affecting sales order creation.
    While viewing this Info structure S008, I could see no records have been maintained. Wanted to know the reasons behind this Hard error?
    Is it something related to Date Field used in the Update Rules for this Infostructure which is causing this posting period error?

    Thank you Jelena,I checked the Ship. Delivery dates in the IDOC which are for Current Fiscal Year- 20140703 and 20140711,Could there be any other reason for this error?
    Could it be an issue with e Update rule in this Infostructire S008
    Secondly when we try change the update rule thru MC25 for this Infostructure S008,It gives a message"
    "Maintenance of SAP standard updates not allowed"

  • Sales history or any other infostructure

    Hi all
    I need to create a sandbox demo for transfering sales history to APO DP. There is hardly any history available in R/3. I  believe I can not fill up the concerned info structure/key figure without sales orders.
    I am OK to use any infostructre/key figure which can be filled with some sizable dummy data for the sake of demo right now.
    1 What are my options, what info structure /key figure I should use?
    2 What transaction I should use to fill up this key figure.
    3 Can I fill up the key figure for past periods or do I  have to fill it up in future periods only ( Worst case scenario once the data is in APO I can write a macro to copy into past periods)
    4 What is the correct info structure/key figure for sales history any way?

    I have the same problem. (Version 22.0 for Windows) History is only showing me the last 15 lines. If I click on Show All History to see even what I did a few minutes ago, I'm taken to a Library that only wants to show me All Bookmarks - but shows absolutely no bookmarks even though I have many available through normal Bookmarks drop down and toolbar.

  • Excluding open sales order & Deliveries in Credit management

    Hi All,
           I dont want to update all the open sales orders and deliveries in sales value in FD32. For this I have done the configuration and it is working fine. But after the configuration, system will delete the existing records in S066 & S067 and will not create records further even we create new sale order, del & inv.
    Now I want to know wether there will be any problem if the records in S066 & S067 were deleted and will not be created further. And I also want to know wether the data in these infostructures (S066 & S067) were used anywhere in the system or not?

    Hi,
        My requirement is while doing credit check system should consider only open invoices, not sales order or deliveries. For this I did the following.
        After running the program all my records in S066 & S067 will be deleted as I have deleted the update group under credit control area. Giving blank in update group under credit control area, will not update any open sales values or deliveries in FD32 for freshly created documents. But already there will be some existing open orders & del in the system which will show as sales value in FD32. This value will not be cleared for ever as there was no update group. So I want to clear these sales value in FD32. So I will run the program after deleting the update group and so the system will delete all the records in S066 & S067 and sales value will be zero in FD32 which is as per requirement.
    Now I want to know will there be any problem by deleting this records. Wethere these records are anywhere used in the system other than FD32???

  • Vendor wise Sales & Stock Report in SAP Retail

    Hi,
    My requirement is:
    I need to develop a report for suppliers, showing them the sales and stock in each sales office. The report will be able to show the quantity in sales and stock for each sales office and a total for each one, in a determinated period for the given supplier.
    Can anyone please suggest a step by step process to extract the data, I will get vendor number/s from selection screen and the date range based on which I need to extract the data?
    Is it posible to determine the vendor of a material from the sales order, I have multiple vendors for a material? Can anyone please explain me how to determine the vendor of a sold material?

    Hi,
    If you populate batches, try to populate an infostructure (LIS) for movements 101 (for purchase orders) where you have the article (material in IS-R), plant and vendor code. Other question is the STO from distributions center to shops. Of course, you  need that the batch will be different for different vendors. It's an idea.

    In my opinion, you don't have any such std table/view to update ABC Classification field. You might need to update relevant infostructure based on your requirement, such as sales, invoiced, etc..
    Try with following, based on your requirement:
    MC(A
    SIS: Customer,Inc.Orders - Selection
    MC+A
    SIS: Customer Returns, Selection
    MC+E
    SIS: Customer, Sales - Selection
    MC+I
    SIS: Customer Credit Memos - Selec.

  • Product allocation error while creating a sales order

    Hi Gurus,
    My client is using the availability check against  product allocation functionality in sales order.while I am creating the sales order and entering the material system is throwing the error message product allocation XXX is invalid,after pressing the enter button system has thrown another error "incorrect index structure for table XMVERF_POS/000010" and unable to save the order.
    I have checked the material master and the product allocation is assigned in basic data 1 view,I have also checked the IMG settings it has maintained and assigned to infostructure.Please let me know is there any config settings are missing related to product allocation.

    Please check if storage location is populated for the material. Also may be this material is a non-stock material and not relevant for storage location check.. If you have any non-stock items in your order and if you are populating the storage location in the order automatically, then this happens. Please check your code and bypass the check for non stock items.

    Goto img->logistics general->logistics data warehouse->updating->updating control->Activate update choose sales and distribution
    double click on the infostructure s008 and see the details & if possible select asynchronous only and not synchronous. Check out this.

  • Add Item to a delivery without reference to a sales order

    Hello everybody,
    I'm trying to add an item to an existing delivery via VL02n without reference to a sales order but every time the following error message appears: "You cannot add this item to the delivery".
    What settings do i need in order to that? (material type, delivery type, item category group,..etc..)
    Could anyone help me?

    Hi!
    Its not feasible to add a new line item without reference, becuase in one of the user exits such a code would have been written to prevent adding line item without refernec.
    This is done to ensure that a standard availabilty check, pricing and infostructure updates are done. Otherwise, after billing the report of Profitabilty will not come correct and will lead to more problems.
    So my suggestion would be not to add the line item withour referencing to the sales order.
    SAP provides the way of unreferincing through a seperate delivery type called LO. So if you want to create a delivery without refernce, you can use delivery type LO or some Z version of it.

  • Getting an Error in Rebate VBO2- "Sales volume is not current"

    Hello Gurus,
    I am working in ECC6.0 & my agreement type customer & Material rebate.
    Have maintained records in VBO1 & in billing -condition tab the correct % get populated. But the same is not displaying in VBO2.
    Also i executed VBOF, the sales volume is not getting updated in VBO2.But in the verification level of the rebates i can see the accruals, but not in sales volume.
    Could any one help in this.

    Check the sales Volume group details in VB)2. Also check in OMO1 wheather the infostructure S060 is updated or not updated .If it is not updated then update it and then run VBOF and then check in VBO2 if the sales volume is getting updated or not

  • Status of Sales Order Open Even after assigning Reason for Rejection.

    Hi All,
    I am facing with a basic problem wherein even after assigning a reason for rejection status for a sales order, the sales order numbere is appearing in  the list of Open Sales Order(VA05).
    Also another case is i created a sales order with one line item, invoiced the same. Now i cancel the invoice and further wanted to close the sales order as i cannot delete the same. In this case also i see that even after assigning the reason for rejection, the sales order number along with its details appear in the list of open orders.
    Can somebody please tell me whatt configurations have i missed?.

    Thanks for the reply... My issue got solved partially. Now if i assign a "Reason for rejection" to the sales order then that sales order is not reflecting in the VA05 (open orders list).
    But given a scenario wherein i create  a sales order and whose quantities & values  gets updated in the standard infostructures and i will be able to see the same by executing MCTE (incoming orders & Qty). After assigning the reason for rejection for the same sales order i view the output of MCTE then the report still displays the old ordered quantity and value. Is there any wayout to control this wherein the moment we assign a reason for rejection for a line item in a sales order and the values get reversed in the standard infostructures.
