Sales Organization configurations

Hi,
A new sales org XX00 has been created. Can you please provide me all the necessary configurations that needs to be done for the complete financial flow to take place ??
Please let me know all the changes that needs to be done from Finance perspective..

in the steps for pricing procedure determination
create document pricing procedure and assign it to your sales doc
if you are using the standard ones no need to do this step
in customer master
sales area data sales tab
assign cust pri procedure ( you can use std ones or you can create your own )
now go to Tcode OVKK
assign your sales area
doc pri pro
cust pri pro
pricing procedure
regads
ravi

  • Sales order item category per sales organization

    Hi
    Sorry for the question, I am FI/CO expert, and since our SD expert left us, I am also the SD expert now.
    Can I define different item categories for the same sales order type for different sales orgs?
    VOV4 (IMG-sales and distrebution-sales-sales documents-sales document item-assign item categories) has no sales organization parameter.

    Yes, you can define different item categories (in t.code VOV7) and assign to same sales order types. The item category is determined by based on Sales document type + Item category group (from material master) + Item category usage + High level item category (check t.code VOV4).
    The item categories are not assigned to sales organization, but the sales document types are assigned to sales area. Check t.code VOV8, where the sales documents are defined and in t.code OVAZ, the sales documents are assigned to sales area (sales area = sales org + distribution channel + division).
    YOu can see the steps of configuration at SPRO -> Sales and distribtution ->Sales document header (related to sales document type) and then at -> Sales document item.

    The Structure of Sales Org, differs from client to client. Its purely client specific.
    But normally the structure containes, Sales Org, Distribution Channel, Division, Sales Group and Sales Office.
    Tolerance groups:
    Tolerance groups represent amounts or percentages by which receivables may be underpaid or overpaid.
    Amounts and percentage values for tolerances relating to underpayments and overpayments of receivables are defined in a tolerance group.
    Business Blue Print;
    Business Blue print is understanding the clinets business completley. While we are implementing SAP to any client, first we have to understand their business completely so that we can map accordingly in SAP system. So, after understanding their business, we will prepare a document called as Busines Blue print. While is nothing but AS Is study.
    Functional Specification:
    To speak at macro level that is at projet manager or at senior levels.  The Functional Spec (Specification) which is a comprehensive document is created after the (SRS) Software Requirements Document. It provides more details on selected items originally described in the Software Requirements Template. Elsewhre organizations combine these two documents into a single document.
    The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functinality.. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders,and contains the technical information and the  data needed for the design and developement. 
    The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particulat area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
    The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed. 
    The functional specification translates the Software Requirements template into a technical description which
    a) Ensures that the product feature requirements are correctly understood before moving into the next step, that is detchnical developement  process. 
    b) Clearly and unambiguously provides all the information necessary for the technical consultants to develop the objects.
    At the consultant level the functional spects are preapred by functinal consultants on any functionality for the purpose of getting the same functinality designed by the technical pepole as most of the times the functionalities according to the requirements of the clients are not available on ready made basis.
    Let me throw some light on documentation which is prepared before and in a project:
    1) Templates
    2) Heat Analysis -
    3) Fit Gap or Gap Analysis
    4) Business Process Design
    5) Business Process Model
    6) Business Change & Impact
    7) Configuration Design, which is just 5 % of Total SAP- have different names -
    8) Future Impact & Change Assessement
    9) Functional Design (Module Wise)
    10) Risk Assessement
    11) Process Metrics and Many More-- Which has impact on Business and its work flow

  • Scenario regarding Sales Organization, distribution channel

    Dear Experts,
    I am doing
    1. Simple Domestic sales from manufacturing plant
    2. Depot Sales: In which, Stock transfer between two plants i.e. from Manufacturing Plant to Depot and sales from depot
    3. Exports: Sales to other country.
    Now, my confusion is, whether i can use a single sales organization and three distribution channel for all these three scenarios or do i have to create three different sales organizations along with three distribution channels and do the processes?
    My anather question is, if i want to do depot sales, then it is possible to have one manufacturing plant and two storage locations at different places. i.e. issuing storage locatin and receiving storage location.
    Is it possible to sell goods from receiving storage location to end customer?
    What will be simple organizational structure i can make to acheive these things?
    I would be very helpful if you can give me your expert inputs on the scenario. I am trying to make the simple organization structure with less complications for my client.

    As suggested the best choice will be to go ahead with one sales organization for all these scenario. Since in domestic sale / export sale the only difference will be the Pricing configuration and that can be easily mapped using the either a distribution channel / or a customer pricing procedure.
    Now when it comes to handling the sales scenario - there is a option to go ahead with two or even three distribution channel.
    1. Domestic Sale (Can handle Both Depot sale and Manufacturing same- seperate dist.channel will help to pick right pricing procedure
    2. Export Sale - This distribution channel will help you to pickup export pricing procedure (Also if not then you can have customer pricing procedure to pick the export pricing )
    3. Stock Transfer (Can be done through domestic sale also)- I hope a seperate pricing procedure will be created for STO. So from the reporting purpose a seperate dist.channel can help you to have more clarity to the user - Again will help you to pick a different pricing procedure (A seperate Cust.pr.Pro can also be used to pick a different pricing procedure)
    4. If you are using DEPOT sale with Excisable mean you need to maintain RG23D register. Also you need to generate Excise Invoice, challan . If you use transfer process of storage location to storage locationthen there are concerns as how you will generate challan and Invoice. OR if it is a DEPOT to DEPOT Transfer then also you need supporting document. please do check as whether you need the required output or not.
    So Depot need to be maintained a PLANT in SAP with a check box as saying Excisable and relevant for RG23D. and a Normal Sales process will follow. Reporting can be done of PLANT as a primary key.
    Distribution channel will be a simpler way of Differentiation - and for reporting purpose.

  • Two intercompany customers can be assigned to Sales Organization

    Need help on Intercompany customizing.
    Aas per the SAP standard configuration for intercompany postiing, one Inter company customer is assigned to Sales Organization.
    Is there a way thru configuration or User exit, two intercompany customers can be assigned to Sales Organization. Based on different Distribution channel, posting should be done for different intercompany customers.

  • Sales organization taxes

    Dear partners:
                We are having some issues trying to setup taxes for customers through XD01 and XD02 transactions.  We are on SAP Retail system, and we configured several sales’ organizations (classified by region), due to we are using franchise system. Every client is extended for (linked to) every sale’s organization and also each sale’s organization could have its own tax restriction.
               We figured out we can’t set taxes up per customer and sale’s organization through XD01 / XD02, because taxes are defined by country, but we need them by sale’s organization due to the nature of our business. I wondered If exists any way to do this. I hope you can help us.

    Hi Keylen,
                    You could configure a pricing condition type whose cond calss = 'D' and cond category =  'D'. Something similar to the MWST condition type.  Attach a access sequnce and one of the access should have the sales org as the field.Maintain condition records for this cond type against the sales org. Taxes will be calculated now based on ut cond rec.

  • Sales organization 0000 is not defined (Error Message: VF 009)

    Dear All,
    While creating the intercompany invoice, I am getting the following error.
    Sales organization 0000 is not defined (Error Message: VF 009).
    I was able to create till commercial invoice. I am not able to create "Intercompany Invoice".
    Am I missed out any configuration?
    So far I have completed Plant assignment and Internal customer assignement required for Intercompany billing.
    Kindly suggest.

    Hellow Mullairaja,
    We are encountering the same problem, and my assumption is that the customer not being extended to the appropriate sales area prior to delivery creation is causing the problem.  Is there an OSS note or process to resolve this issue.  We have extended the customer now and the only thing I can think of to resolve is to reverse the PGI and delivery.  Is there a better way to correct this?  What was your solution?

  • Sales organization determination in BP and documents

    Hi All,
    We are using CRM as a standalone system. We have set organization structure with:
    1. In function Tab : we have selected “sales” button. Also selected “sales organization” box with empty R/3 organization. We have selected and entered R/3 DC and Div since these are configured in CRM IMG.
    2. In Attributes tab : We have selected “Obj. permitted in determination”  with following attributes
    Country – India, Postal codes 400000 -500000
    3. Since other attributes such as SA_Org, Tupel, division, Dist. Channel are not present in the attributes tab view, we have entered values in “PP01” transaction against our Org. unit.
    4. We run the “HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE” with necessary selection and found our organization in “Buffer set up” area.
    Now
    A)We do not get Sales Org, Div and Dist Channel in Sales area data in BP. Not in match code and in choose sales area data as well.
    B)We do not see the attributes set in PP01 transaction for our organization in Organization model display for attributes tab.
    C)In documents the org unit is determined correctly. Also, we get Div and Dist channel but NO sales organization is determined.
    We need help in the following:
    1.Please let us know, is there any setting missing and needs to be done to get the sales organization automatically in BP and Documents.
    2.Why all the attributes are not displayed in the Organization structure attribute tabs. Is there any table to be maintained, program to refresh the list? Also why these attributes are not updated in Org unit once it is entered in PP01 for it.
    I would appreciate and award points to the maximum to fast the response since it is critical in our project.

    The indicator is green our organisation and object permitted in determination which helps in deterimining the org unit correctly.
    We have already mentioned in our query that general attributes - Tupel, Div, Dist chan. , Sales org  are not visible in the list of Org. unit and hence entered in PP01 transaction with mentioned FM run for it. Even then the sales area is not determined in BP and Documents.
    How these attributes to be entered directly in org unit itself if not present?

  • Pricing for one sales organization

    Hi all,
    I have a small question:-
    We are having only one sales organization and two different locations where in location(1) customers are liable for sales tax and the other location(2) customers are not liable for sales tax. Normally the pricing procedure is determined with the combination of sales areadocument prcing procedurecustomer pricing procedure. In this case i have configured the customer pricing procedure as '1' for location(1)customers. Now the problem is when customer of location(1) tries to book the sale order for the material in location(2),  tax should not be calculated as the location(2) is not liable for sales tax for their sales.How can we handle this?

    create two diff customer grps- for tax liable and non- liable. in your access seq for the tax cond. maintain a step that has customer grp as the field. also make the cusotmer grp field in the customer master a mandatory field so that it does not get left out. u can make these changes in the accnt grp.

    In our new custom Z program we are adding new search field "SALEs Organization". The requirement is to get all the Work items as per sales organization in new Z SWI5 report.     You can use method CL_CRM_ORGMAN_SERVICES=>F4_SALES_ORG to provide input help on the sales organization.
    Regarding validation, one of our consultants used
    u201CSELECT SINGLE sales_org FROM comm_pr_frg_rod WHERE  sales_org  = <xxx>"
    This does not seem great to me - if you find a better way, can you share it?

    I had a doubt in defining new sales organization.
    Presently there are 4 sales organizations under one company code code. Now i have created new sales org by copying one of the existing .By this, every sales order doc types of the existing sales org. are copied to the new one, which i don't want.
    Is that better to create new sales org individually or to copy from the existing.

    sales organizations can be newly created without being copied
    You  will not face absolutely any problem
    and make all assignments and configurations
    Even copy also can be done and modify according to your needs
    Only Company code and Plant it is adviced to be copied so that all necessary tables also gets copied

    A requirement has come up where I want to get Customer closing balance based on its sales organization as this particular customer is extented to 2 different sales organizations. I want to get the closing balance of individual sales organization vise.

    AFAIK there is no such BAPI, cause there is no database table with balance for customer per sales organisation. (No KNCx table for VKORG)
    First ask functionals (*) how to recover sales organisation from a FI document (I suppose for SD invoice it is easy if no merging between organisation) will be a little tricker for pure FI document like payment transactions (hope thet are quickly cleared...)  Then start from non cleared records of BSID (also BSAD if you use a past date of reference, in case you have to add the records of BSAD with clearing date greater than reference date) and cross it with SD information to break FI into sales organisation.
