Hi Experts,

Please help me.
thanks
kv

Hi Ventak,
You have available the following resources:
- [SDK Help Center|;
- Expert Empowerment Sessions (S-User needed)
- Several videos & presentations about the development curriculum (S-User needed)
But I suggest you practice. The documentation provided by SAP is very limited.
Also, 50% of the questions of the TB_1300_2007 exam (Development Consultant) come from the TB_1200_2007 exam (Functional Consultant). So you really need to know your way around SAP Business One.

  • Oppurtunity for SAP PS Certified Consultant (Fresher)

    Hi
A mere Certification does not helps in giving entry into SAP Implementation . Every where the companys ask only experience .
without giving oppurtunity to a fresher dont know how the supply of experienced persons is meet ? . The organizations has to understand this .
And another point to discuss the company is ready to hire a fresher computer science or a Electronics and communication graduate and train him in SAP modules and use him in Implementation project . But a certified consultant is not considered for the same.
If this is the case then SAP has to restrict giving certification to anybody ? and Impose some restrictions for certification.

    Hi John,
You should have tried for ABAP, as there are requirements for fresher in ABAP.
In functional side it is difficult to get into the Business if you are a fresher, as there is a general believe that freshers don't understand business well so cannot be taken in as a Functional consultant..
How did you opted for SAP PS? Are you an MBA grad or Engg??
Good Luck with your job hunt..

  • SAP Certified Consultant but no experience except teamsap academy training?

    Hi,
I am SAP CERTIFIED SD CONSULTANT but I have no experience in SAP except 30 DAY training from authorized SAP Academy.
I took the SAP SD Certification couple of years ago and a comprehensive one month training for Authorized Academy. I was not able to start career in SAP for personal reasons
Now I want to start SAP career. What should be my first step.
Since i took the training and passed certification years ago, what should i do now.
I want to share and ask for some feedback before i take any step.
    Any feedback really appreaciated

    Hi,
I don't think that you can have access to SAP Systems, but license is given to SAP customer/partner to access SAP systems. In our case we can pay for 3rd party who can install SAP ECC ..Max of  1500 bugs (U can find them in non-authorized training centers).
As u are SAP SD Certified Consultant , u can get into support operations.
Kindly update ur profile with Email ID in ur Business card, it will be easy for me to send few learning stuffs on SD !!
    Thanks

  • Is SAP  certified on IPv6

    Hi ,
Could you let me know if below mentioned SAP version are certified on IPv6.
    ->SAP R/3 4.7 (Kernel Versions 620,640)
->mySAP Business Suite 2004 or 2004S(Kernel versions 640 and above)
What are the SAP version certified in IPv6?
    Thanks
    Sivasankari

    Hi Sivasankari
I have checked this with colleagues in development - all we can tell you
is that we support IPv6 starting with NetWeaver 7.10.
We have no information we can give you regarding IPv6 usage in earlier
    systems.

  • JCo Connector  (jco.jar) version 2.1.8 certified for use against R/3 4.6c ?

I would like to know if SAP has certified the JCo connector version 2.1.8 for connecting with R/3 4.6c systems.  The JCo connector is used by an iWay connector in an Oracle application server version 10.1.2.
Can anyone comment on this? Thanks!

    Hello Philip,
the offical supported release by JCo 2.1.8 are listed on the given link above:
    https://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000463654&
->  "Supports R/3 3.1I and higher (and other SAP Components that have BAPIs or RFMs)."
So this is a SAP product/technology we support always the highest version number. Have a look at SAP note 549268 under the chapter "Solution Support Strategy for SAP JCo" for official support statements.
Of course i cannot comment on the support level of the other vendors which are using this technology. If you want you can open a support call at SAP to get a more specific answer to your question.
Hope this information is useful for you,

  • Installing SAP R/3 with SQL Server 2005..

    Hi,
Microsoft is about to release "SQL 2005" in Nov05. Has anybody in here thought of installing/upgrading SAP on MS-SQL's latest version of the database server. On doing some research on the net I noticed that Microsoft has already upgraded their SAP R/3 environment to the beta edition of SQL Server 2005. I did not find any information on SAP having certified SQL Server 2005 yet.
Do we have to wait till ECC6.0 or whatever the new version of ECC would be to leverage the SQL Server 2005 D/b ?
Any thoughts/information on the readiness of SQL Server 2005 for SAP R/3 would be appreciated.
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
Past experience says SAP won't support a new platform (e.g. DB, OS, etc) until they have had a chance to test it.  Your official SAP document for what is supported is in the Product Availability Matrix.  http://service.sap.com/pam
With that said, that doesn't mean that you can't try it out. Of course not in a test environment. You get some very good learning experiences from trying.  But don't enter a customer message about a non supported platform.
    Good luck,
    John

  • Need a help / advice & guidance whether to switch on my Career in SAP-PM from core industries after spending my 09 years of experience in Core field that to in Maintenance.

    Hello Adviser /expert,
Need a help / advice & guidance whether to switch on my Career in SAP-PM from core industries after spending my 09 years of experience in Core field that to in Maintenance.
As now i m thinking to do SAP-PM certified course from authorized SAP partner in India that to Pune.
So any one can suggest authorized SAP partner in India that to Pune.
My introduction (About myself): - I had done my Diploma in Mechanical and had total 09 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance field that to in different manufacturing company such as Steel, Auto Ancillary & Cotton plant.
Whether its right decision to change my career from Core sector to SAP-PM..??
Is there very good scope in SAP-Pm for me after 09 years of Core Maintenance field..???
    Guide me
    Warm Regard
    Ravin

    Ravindra,
SAP PM is very niche Module, very in demand module, at the same time, being niche, getting into it and getting 1 implementation is also difficult.
your decision of joining SAP authorized training is the best option, as a certified consultant, you have more chances to get a break as fresher and you can continue working on it, else it would waste of your intellectual energy.
you just search sap.com training or email them or chat with them, they will give u the training center details,
but very less training classes are available. Try you will get lucky soon

  • Business one to SAP one (All in one)

I am a fresh SAP FICO certified individual, I have applied for (SAP ERP one) position in one of the renowned consultancy firm, how ever they have approached saying any they do not have vacancy on SAP ERP one but they can offer me a position in Business one, further they said if I am keep about SAP one then I have to wait for any future vacancy.
Now please advise me is it good for me to jump in business one or shall I wait for SAP one?? and secondly if I join business one and after couple of year how much practical it would be to move in SAP one??
Please comment on both the questions in detail.
    Regard
    Murtaza Haider

First of all what is SAP ONE ?
I have searched in Google, but it shoes SAP BUSINESS ONE.
    Anyway,
As a normal term, I can say that don't leave the job. As now you can work with business one for some time, then when you can get another chance, then you can leave the job.
I am saying this because in these market, jobs are very valuable.
And also your experience level will increase, if you wait for another job, then your knowledge and experience level will still stay there.
So my opinion, work with business one now, then after sometime you change your job.
    Regards

  • Career in SAP ABAP

    Hello Everybody
I just need your help and suggestions . It will be really worthwhile if anybody can come up with answers to my question below.
I have 4 years IT experience and have been working on Project Management of Web Development Field for 1st three years and last year in Adobe Flex and have good knowledge of OOPs concepts . I have decided to switch to SAP for better prospect in order to secure my future along with handsome income. Today I went to JKT SAP ACADEMY ( SAP Authorised Training Partner listed in SAP page ) in kolkata and they suggested me to go for SAP ABAP with e-learning module upto maximum 5 months for 200 Hrs duration with a course fee of 1,76,000/- along with materials and after that pay 33K  for examination fees to get SAP GERMANY CERTIFICATE after clearing it. They will provide placements like arranging interview .
Now i am thinking whether its useful to join or not after paying hefty sum ?? Is there any chances of getting job for Fresher in SAP as certified ? Can anyone suggest me please ? I also understand that ABAP is suitable for programmers with OOps concepts . Instead of joining it how good will it be to learn from Online Tutorials on our own and also with books.
Looking forward to hear from you soon all.
    Thanks

  • IBM Common Store for SAP Implementation VS IXOS

Hello all, great idea for a forum.
We are currently choosing between IBM CommonStore and IXOS for our Image Repository, Document Attachment and Archiving solution.
Our team has extensive experience with IXOS and limited experience with IBM CommonStore and IBM Content Manager.
In a situation where 1000s of returned invoices and correspondences a day will be imaged and inserted into the repository and indexed into PS-CD we need to decide if the dollars saved in going with CommonStore will be spent getting our solution up to the integration level that is delivered with IXOS.
Does anyone here have experience with both or has anyone gotten CommonStore working up to a full production level with QA workflows and CRM viewing enabled?
Any experience getting CommonStore fully functional with a mass invoicing scenario?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Greg

    Greg,
All certified vendors that use SAP ArchiveLink would basically have the same level of integration in SAP.  It should take you no longer to implement one over the over, the sap configuration is the same.  It really comes down to the experience of the implementation team.
The IBM CommonStore solution is SAP ArchiveLink certified and provides an enterprise wide imaging repository without the need for additional products and licensing.
If you want to look at just the scanning front end, IBM uses a scanning front end that supports OCR from such vendors as Kofax and Captiva.  IXOS Enterprise scan can only scan and hand the images over to another OCR solution, thus scanning the same documents twice.
I am familiar with both solutions; I was the past IXOS imaging team lead for 5 years.
I'm not sure what you're looking for in regards to "QA workflows and CRM viewing enabled?"
    CRM is archiveLink enabled!

  • Testing Career: Is there any SAP career growth???

    Dear SAP Experts,
I am SAP SD Certified fresher, completed certification in Oct.2013.
I joined one of the reputed MNC in June 2014.I was happy thinking that I got entry in SAP but soon my happiness converted into sorrowness because after spending 40 days in the company I got testing project.
In this project my responsibility is to take care testing part.Client is rolling out SAP regionwise and outsourced testing part to my company but there is not much exposure to SAP.
Now there are numerous questions in my mind:
    1) Shall I continue this role or search a new job(but getting new job would very tough as I am fresher)?
    2) Is this testing project affect my SAP career?
    3) Going forward what are different things I should learn so that I will get good hike after 2 yrs if I continue this role.
    4) Shall I join any institute which will give me insight about support or implementation project so that I can show in next intw(after 2 yrs) even if I worked in testing project i know process of implementation or I know the types of tickets and all other stuff
    Kindly guide me.
    Regards,
    Abhijeet.

    Hi Abhijeet,
This is sad part but I don't want to demotivate you more as this is your first job in SAP career.
"Which road you take that will lead your growth".  The problem is if you are starting as testing career then you will move on to same testing roles and will not get any SD implementation or support opportunity.  Just ask them, would you able to be part of Support or Implementation project.
Positive side: Sometimes if your project likes you, then you will move into SAP implementation project down the line, due to increasing demand of skills in your project.  I have seen many people in the past and recently projects recruited as testing guy then moved into functional roles on implementation.
Testing may be ok in the beginning but do not stay longer because your profile not worthy in future.  Look for better opportunity if they ask you stay more than 6 or 1 year in same testing roles.
Career Path for Testing - Test Analyst, Senior Test Analyst -> Testing Manager -> Testing Director
Career Path for Functional Consultant - Functional Consultant -> Senior Functional Consultant -> Functional Lead -> Solution Architect or Project Manager -> Programme Manager
