SAP FQN locations

Is there a note or a document that documents all the places where SAP stores Fully Qualified Names and/or protocols? For example if I am connected via sapgui for windows and run a transaction like PAL my browser is opened with a URL generated (at least partially) by profile parameter icm/host_name_full. I think there are ABAP transactions that initiate java side URls. I don't remember where that is defined.
I am trying to customize E2E diagnostics but the application keeps dropping the URL prefix I start with and supplying its own.
For example if I start with https://my.fully.qualified.hostname:5xx01 As I navagate through the E2E dialogs the protocol, the hostname and the port switch numerous times. The development team should learn how to run http proxies!
PS: Is there any way to coerse the application NOT to resolve host names? I keep seeing SMD agents cycle between connecting to host my.fully.qualifies.hostname and then getting ping failure to my's internal IP number. Doesn't SAP use firewalls and understand private IP numbers?

Yes, you can define the hostnames and and HTTP port number in the table - HTTPURLLOC.
And also check the table RSPOR_T_PORTAL

SAP Strategy Management 7.0 SSM Component Deployment failed with JSPM

Dear experts,
i have installed a SAP Netweaver CE 7.1 on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 with MS SQL and i wish to install now SAP Strategy Management 7.0 with JSPM Tool.
I have copied the CPMSTRMGMAPC00_0.SCA file on the usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\ directory and the deployment precessus failed with error before the AS JAVA has been restarted.
How can i manage this problem? Any suggestion is welcomed.

NWDI setup, problem while deploying .sca files on SAP PI 7.1 server

I have a SAP PI 7.1 server. I want to setup DTR on it.
From service market place i downloaded the required .sca files
Location:

The last week we made a refresh of PROD to QUA, the error is when try to run the stadistics on QUA, then we get the error and we found the initPDC.sap and we rename inside of the file and the file from PDC to QUA and then we get the error that we send in the first message. Today we deleted the file initQUA.sap and get this error. Can you help us.

I've read there is a native integration to ESRI-GIS systems in SAP Business Objects BI 4.0.
Can anybody tell me if I'm wrong?
I've found only third party tools performing SAP Business Objects Integration for ESRI GIS, like APOS software.
Can ESRI integration be performed with any tool in the actual SAP BO Suite 4.0?
Can I actually connect with any SAP BO tool to ESRI system?

You said that JAVA_HOME is not nedded, but I see that SAP JVM Switch Tool set the environment variable JAVA_HOME of the user <sid>adm set to the path of the SAP JVM location.
Instead JAVA_HOME environment variable is set for the system to the old sun JVM.
So, you are right that in the manual JVM migration is not mentioned JAVA_HOME, so it seems no important, but it has been set by SAP JVM Switch Tool, so I don't think that it isn't important..
So, what is the best?
Let the different settings of JAVA_HOME for <sid>adm user and system user ?

SAP Help Tutorial - Create a Hashtable ??

I'm new so this will be simple - I think
I'm attempting to follow the tutorial on SAP HELP located at:

I got threw tutorial 1 with no problem...
When I get to the "Writing Code" section of Tutorial II, writing the mySiteMap.java code, I assume I'm suppose to use the code as written in the tutorial... however my IDE (NWDS) gives me :

Possible ways to start SAP Web AS services

I am using J2EE SAP Web AS 7.0 on UNIX platform and herein i use startsap script to start SAP as well as database services. My concern here is that what all are the possible ways to start the SAP services apart from the above mentioned script? One i could figure out is to run all the commands in the script one by one, though does not make sense if the script is already available
Reason for asking above question is that i want to set an environment variable whenever SAP Engine starts up. And, if i embed this line in startsap script it would solve my purpose but if there is any other way also to start SAP services, then i have to cover those use cases also. So, please provide your suggestions for my requirement.

My requirement is that my SDA file has dependecy on some third party dll's and at the time of starting SAP Web AS, this dll path should be available at the beginning of LIBPATH variable. So, please let me know if some fix is available for my requirement.
Also, i have discoverd that SAP profile (located at /usr/sap/<SID>/profile/START_JC<SID>_<machine name>) has the required parameters( LIBPATH, etc) and if i add my dll path in these environment variables, i am able to load my dll at the SAP starting time. Here my questions are:
1. Is it fine to make changes in this profile file?
2. Would my changes be overwritten if the kernel upgrade happens?
3. If i start SAP using MMC (suggested by you), still this profile file be read for starting SAP Web AS and the dll's would be loaded?
Apart from this i tried out using "There is a java version as well, which can be started from a browser:
http://<hostname>:5<instance number>13" which internally uses MC. Here if i try starting SAP WebAS, it prompts for user name and password. I tried out <SID>adm user, J2EE Administrator user and machine root user but all these options were ruled out by the Authentication module. Can you please suggest which user name should i try to stop/start SAP using MMC?

CRM 5.0 Vendor Location determination in Order, Item not exist in Plant

CRM 5.0 I have read and implemented oss note 493497. We use ECC ATP not APO.
If I create an order in CRM I find a vendor and the partner is added at the header and item.
If plant A is found and the materials exist in plant A then all works well and replicates to ECC.
But in cases where some line items do not exist in plant A, they exist only in plant B the order fails to replicate accross. I have to manually change the item vendor to plant B then it passes to ECC.
I have read this SAP help but I am a bit confused why my test fails.

I gave you 6 pts, we have plants in the east, west, and central part of the country.
The East & West carry most products but only specialty or low volume products are stocked in the central. If I change the access sequence to the material (central) then customers on the east & west will get stocked from the wrong location as all lines will pull the central location.
Is almost like the ECC scenario where you want to ship from closest location to customer but if product does not exist at that location then look at material master setting. Yes, this scenario could cause an order to get shipped from 2 plants based on which products are ordered.

Regarding the libs... yes, of course I know I compile the sources against some libs Then, I'm gonna type it an example:
- NWDS 7.0 > import com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par
Everything is ok and working. Now, the same in 7.3:
- NWDS 7.30 > import com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par > LogInRedirect.jsp > exactly the same code as NWDS 7.0 (of course), but with errors in lines:
<%@ page import = "com.sapportals.portal.navigation.*" %> >>> The import com.sapportals.portal.navigation cannot be resolved

Used Dc bpem having some problem
Try this
1. Select the DC ---Select Development Component ---Show In -- Select last one(Component Navigator) .It will display all used dc (from sap and custom) right click on particular --right click --select sync/create project --select sync used dc.
do the same for all used DC's
Let us know what is this Package folder "test/java ? I think some file which u used in DC.

Material in Storage Location.

Hi everybody, how can I do to know if a material was created for a Storage Location? Because I was checking on MARD table but I found a storage location that not has an entry in the table for a material, but I tried to do a good receipt without referenfe to this Sloc for this material and the system allows me to do that, and them an entry for this combination was inserted on table MARD. Do you know how can I check if a material was created for a Storage Location? Regards.

In SAP storage locations can be created automatically for plant which is done by the configuration. Thats the reason even if you dont have entry in MARD table against the material it allows you do a goods movement for a material with the new location.

Hello Harish,
SAP GUI for Java 7.00 and 7.10 are no longer supported and as a result, are not available from SAPs download locations.
You can use SAP GUI for Java 7.20 on Mac OS X 10.5 in case JSE 6 can be installed (requires 64-bit Intel CPU, see [note 1400273|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1400273]).
