This is rani, iam want to go for sap hcm certification associate level.
kindly please guide me how to prepare and what to focus for the certification.
i heard that it is very tough that too for HCM when compared to other modules
already i finished online course in sap HCM. i want to write the exam in this month.

This exam is based on the course so it should not be too hard and you only have to score 55% to pass it as it is an associate level and not professional level (70%).

I have to take SAP HCM certification exam on 29th july. kindly provide some tips and advice to get through it.

I feel certification is about complete remembering of the 4 books which SAP provides.
Some tips while answering the questions is try to answer those questions first which you are 80-100 % sure.
Then answer the rest questions.
Everyone told me if you give 3-5 contnous wromg answers and submit them you will not certify.
Thus be sure to give continous right answers by answering the once you are completely sure.
On the type of questions part :
1. Employee subgrou grouping personnel subarea grouping questions are a must, e.g To which of the below personnel subare grouping can be done a) Work schedule b)Basic pay etc
2. Holiday Calendar- Moving Holiday and non-moving holiday-Types of Holidays
3.On Basic pay Infotype- Payscale groups and levels fundamentals
4. Wagetype characteristics table, each field be sure
5. Indirect evaluation INVAL A, B.,C,D-PRZNT, SUMME
6.Features : ABKRS,NUMKR,- and remember all features in the book must be around 15
7. Work schedule generation steps
8. Time Evaluation Types- In IT 0007 you have the types
9. Positive time - which of the below are true for positive time
10.Negative time - same question
11. Payroll area ; 1 scenario with different dates and frequency, suggest how many payrolll areas.( Draw diagram in a paper like circles and suggest how many)
12.Solution Manager: Try to get 100 % in this area. This is very small section in the book.
13. Personnel actions definition
14. Definition of all components of Personnel structure and Enterprise structure
15. Definition of schema
Basically all topics in the book 1 question.
Remeber in certficatin ther are no queries on the table Names like t512d in general. All they ask is concepts and fundamentals.
For this remebering the book is very important.

Actually i am already certified from SF but nor for all modules. then what i understood no need go back to SAP HCM and prepare for certification. if i complete in SF one day i will be as SAP HCM certification, this is right?
Also from your experience along with SF what i can learn something new from SAP product may can help me to achieve our my goal to come HCM consultant in one day.

I have have started working with my current employer as trainee in SAP
and now i have completed 1 year in this organisation.
am i eligible to write ceritification for Associate level?
Since sap mentioned prerequsite are
1. Should have served current employer for at least 12 months
2. For Associate level certification exams, a minimum of 1-3 years of experience

SRM certification "associate level"
Hi SRM friends,
Can someone explain to me what exactly is the difference between these two SRM certification tests:
SAP Certified Application Associate - Supplier Relationship Mgt. with SAP SRM 2005 (SRM 5.0)
VS.
SAP Certified Solution Consultant SRM - Procurement
It seems they're the same banana. Also, which test can you guys advise me to take first? I self-studied SAPSRM, SAP210, and SAP260...I think I get their concepts fairly well. Which one is the easier one?

So If you have fare knowledge of SRM210 & 260 then you should go for "SAP Certified Application Professional ".

Is SAP HCM training/certification worth taking a risk and money?
I am based in one of the metro cities and have around 5 years of experience in HR-Recruitment field, current working with a big5 consulting firm. I sense a very slow career growth in my field and am planning to go for a SAP HCM certification. I checked with ATOS and they are charging a whopping amount of 4 Laks.
The amount is very high and also I fear of losing my current role. I am unable to decide shall I go ahead with my plan or shall I continue doing my current job.I was also have 6 years of functional experience before coming into this field. I took a drop of one year, and studied for certification. I was based in a small town where there was just one good company into SAP. So I joined that, gained good knowledge and learned how to deal with the clients. Worked there for 3 years at a low salary (it was quite low. But in metros you have good options, so you might expect more, and this was 4 years back, so that time in small town like Indore, the salary was very low as compared to Indore). Now I am in Mumbai, and earning a very good package. It surely takes time, but within this span of time, your money will be refunded to you. If you get a good branded company, it can be repaid within a year.
So, I would suggest, do try for this, and clear your certification, which will give you added advantage. Do not bother if you get a small company at an initial level. Rather I would suggest to try for a small company first, as you get to learn a lot from there. In MNC, you will have limited scope. But if you go for a small company at an initial level, your learning will be good. But yes, package will be less. I feel at initial stage in SAP career, package should not be the constraint. If you do your work sincerely, and honestly, you definately get paid in future with a good reward.
So I would suggest, do go for the certification. If you cannot afford the classroom training, go for online training (which I had also done), it might be cheaper than the classroom training.

From your questions , I can tell u this :
In my view core experience is needed to understand the business process clearly , but at the same time you would have to know how to apply these understanding in SAP .
for e.g :
In recruitment , you will have vacancies , for which you put ad , then get potential candidates , screen them ,complete levels of interview , finalize the candidate and then Hire them .
so the same thing you will have to do in SAP too , but you would have to know how you would all this in SAP ,so you would need to understand how configuration is done in SAP .
so the bottom line is , you will have to undergo some sort of training in SAP HCM , to start working on it .

I am Jisul. I was working as an HR generalist for past 6 years with a reputed company. I had to leave my job due to personal reasons in April, 2014. In the meantime, I decided to go for SAP HCM certification as I thought it would be an extension to my domain knowledge. Now that I have completed my certification and am ready to take up a job, I find that all the jobs listed on portals require SAP implementation experience. I do not have any prior experience in SAP field.

as you are in NCR, and have worked already 6 yrs. , so just ask to your concerns about the company name where SAP HCM has been implemented, please understand one thing that getting a job as an fresher is to tough, so you have to struggle hard in achieving it.
Please update your resume in all leading job portal on regular basis, and send your resume to all local consultancies firm too, because many mid size company hires only through local consultancies. -
