SAP PP-firming period & firming orders, firmed orders.

Hello SAP-Guruu2019s
What is the meaning of firming period & firming orders, firmed orders.
And when these functions are used.

Dear,
The MRP elements which are not firmed will tend to change in the next MRP run, when the requirement changes.
If they are firmed , even though requirement changes also they will never change.
If you donot want to have the already created planned orders  to be changed even the Requirements are changed.. you do this by firming.
Firming is done by MRP Type ( which has a firming type assigned to it) and the planning time fence.
Please refer this thrad for firming,

Use T code MD16 ---> to view the planned orders and for
firming individually.
Use T code MD19 -
> to do mass Changes Firming Planned

How to delete Production orders, planned orders, purchase requitions & other orders .
Pls send me the T-codes or Paths.
Any comments welcome   & Thanks in advance.

    Dear,
    1) Delete Production Order,
    Please refer this link,
    [DeleteProduction Orders |http://www.sap-img.com/production/how-to-delete-old-production-orders.htm]
    2) Delete Planned Order,
MD16 is the only option to delete planned orders in mass.
During MRP run if you choose - Delete and recreate plan order mode. Automatically the unwanted plan orders
    2) Delete Purchase Requisation,
Execute MD04, in that it will display the created PR's
Check in tcode MD62 whether you have any demand for that material which you are getting PRs first delete requirement here/
Then run MRP by tcode MD03 or MD02 giving input of material and plant. In the initial screen of MD03 / MD02, make field planning mode - Delete and recreate planning data
    Is that Old PR Firmed.
If yes remove the Firm indicator and Re run the MRP with planning Mode 3.
It removes the PR from EBAN.
    Now check in MD04
    OR,
Use Mass change transaction code MEMASSRQ or use BAPI (BAPI_REQUISITION_DELETE) to do the same.
    Or
Use ME57 with layout ALV, in this also u can delete PR
If you want delete PR manually then
goto ME52N --> enter PR number --> select line item --> click delete button
    or
goto ME52N --> enter PR number --> Item --> Tab Quanties/Dates --> set tick mark for closed check box
    Please check this thread,

  • Condition Period Problem in Sales order -  Need help

    Hi Gurus
I am testing Sales Order back dated
Condition period Problem in Sales order
    example for you to understand
Sales Order where PO date is 17.12.2007
Del Date & Price date is 13.02.2008
Then it is not calculating IN: A/R BED %IN A/R BED totalN A/R CESS [1621]
But if i do it after 14 feb 2008 then it is calculating IN: A/R BED %IN A/R BED totalN A/R CESS [1621]
When I do it with current date it is calculating IN: A/R BED %IN A/R BED totalN A/R CESS [1621] say date is 9-5-2008
I am not able to trace out problem, kindly help me from where I do I check and why this is happening.
    Rajesh Chalke

    Hi,
I am not sure if this solves your problem, but I am suspecting that this might be due to the 'valid on date' of the condition records created for the relevant duty condition types.
Since it was a recent regulation and VK11 usually defaults current date as the valid date, that condition record may have been valid only from the recent date on which it was created.
Check the date in VK12 (To find the exact selection parameters, check the pricing analysis in the sales order which will display the exact condition record which is being selected as of current date.) Check for the same parameters; change the date to relevant date in the past and recreate the sales order. Hopefully this should solve the issue.

  • Migrate Open items - Sales orders/ purchase orders and unbilled deliveries

    Hello All
Can you please tell me the best practice to migrate open sales orders, purchase orders and deliveries due for billing at Cutover to the new system?
Also how can the historical data be migrated? What all comes under historical data?
    Many Thanks
    CM

The way the sales order data is migrated is largely dependent on the number of orders you are intending to migrate. 'Best practice' would suggest you do the following:
    1) Do not migrate any completed orders (they should be kept as 'read only' in the legacy system)
    2) Get the business to close as many orders as possible before the cutover
    3) Stop entry of any new orders during the cutover the period - hold them back and enter them directly into SAP.
Once you have a manageable numebr of orders to migrate you really have two options:
Upload the basic order into SAP (we have usually done this from a spreadsheet using ALE or some similar tool). The basic data is confirmed to order type, order number, order date, customer number, material code and quantity. Any data in addition to this is then added manually to the system by the users e.g. pricing info (this is really important as pricing data is really difficult to map). To do this you will need to have sequenced this correctly e.g. ensuring that the data and config for both the materials and customers are all already in the system before you load the orders.
The second option would be to load them all completely manually - which is why I said at the beginning that really, the best approach is determined by the quantity of orders you need to migrate.
I am sure other people will have used other methods but these two are the ones we usually use.
(edit) P.S. you must remember that 'open' sales orders are any orders that are not yet billed so even if an order is delivered in your legacy system if it has not been invoiced you MAY need to migrate it. But as I metioned at the beginning - it would really be better to complete that order (i.e. bill it) before you close the legacy system so that it does not need to be migrated.
    ========
For deliveries - again, there is no simple fix for this. Because the migration of a delivery demands the migration of an open sales order, the best approach is probably to load the sales order basic data, get the users to complete the sales orders (as described above) and then run the delivery due lists or manually and individually deliver each sales order item.
You cannot migrate ONLY the deliveries, you need to migrate the preceeding order(s) as well. But, again, if you take the approach of closing as many as possible in the legacy system, it will be much easier than migrating them.

  • Good Receipt for Limit orders/Framework orders

    Hello Guruz,
Is it possible to have GR for Limit orders/Framework orders?
    Regards

    Hello,
Framework order is also known as Blanket PO.....which we use for the procurement of Low value Material with Long term planning....It is used as Mini Contract....
For making Blanket PO....you have to choose Order type: FO in ME21N....with Item category "B"(Limit)
For creating Blanket PO... You need not have to maintain material master.....Maintaining Account assignment Category in PO is mandatory....also you have to maintain Validity Period in Blanket PO...
As per SAP Best Practice.....for Blanket PO, GR is not possible.....you can directly post multiple Invoices for One Blanket PO....The validity and total Value of these Invoices for Blanket PO during LIV can be controlled by tolerance keys LA and LD in the T.Code:OMR6 for your Company Code.
In SAP, Blanket Purchase Orders refer to the business process where you have a Purchase Order with a validity period (start / end date) and a limit on the item. No Goods Receipt takes place. Payment is triggered by Invoice.
no Goods Receipt (GR) will take place, the GR indicator is switched off when the item category B is selected.

  • Advance payment against Purchase order/Work Order: F-47

    Hi SAP Gurus,
Our Client's requirement is as follows u2013
Advance payment against Purchase order/Work Order:
    1. Advance should be PO/WO wise & not item wise.
    2. Advance should not exceed total PO/WO value.
    3. Advance against PO should include taxes & conditions maintained in PO/WO
When I put the purchase order number along with the item number, it is taking into account the basic price for that specific item. This amount is excluding Tax.
Actually the advance is given against the Purchase Order. So whether it is possible to
    1. Remove the mandatory filed of  Item number against the PO?
    2. Whether the amount of the advance should be inclusive of the Tax?
    Regards,
    Amit

    Amit kulkarni,
For this requirement you have to do validation of the amount field for advance payment againest PO.
i thiought this is only way to get your requirement
May be this information is useful to you

  • Converting SNP Planned Order /Purch Req to Prod.Order/Purch.Order

    Guys
What is the standard process to Convert the SNP Planned Order /Purch Req. into a Prod.Order/Purch.Order ?
Can the conversion indicator be set in APO for SNP Planned Order /Purch Req.and then transferred to R3 as Prod.Order/Purch.Order  or can the convesrion of Planned Order /Purch Req to Prod.Order/Purch.Order  can be done in R3 itself ?
I am not clear on how exactly this works. Would appreicate if you could provide me with the standard process and any config involved in the same such as Number Ranges and how to set the conversion indicator automatically through SNP planning runs ?
    Thanks

When you set this indicator for a planned order or a purchase
requisition, the system automatically converts the order into a
Production order or purchase order after the transfer to the
    connected SAP R/3 system.
The converted orders are then retransferred to the SAP APO system with a
different category; a purchase requisition with category BS-ANF becomes
a purchase order delivery schedule line with category BS-EIN.
Please check configuration setting in SPro for transfer setting to R/3.
    1. Configure Transfer to OLTP Systems(SNP)
    2.Maintain Global Parameters and Defaults(PPDS)
Also on R/3 side you can see it in MD04/MD07 collectively for a product . or individually on
    MD13 : planned order

  • U00A7ECH Engineering Change with Purchase Order, Process Order and Sales Order

    Hello All,
Can someone kindly explain me the integration points of Engineering Change with
    1. Purchase Order
    2. Process Order
    3. Sales Order
I know we can see the Rev Letter in the first two. Is there a 'refresh' function inside the  PO, Process Order, Sales Order by which we can get the latest and greatest revision, incase the material rev is updated/changed after the PO, Proc Order, SO is already created. Also if yes, after what status in PO, Process Order or Sales Order we cannot use the 'Refresh' button, and than what needs to be done to fix this situation.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sachin

    Hi,
really, this depends on several factors, especially the valid from date of the ECM and its impact on changes on a BOM (which I suppose is the use case you are looking at? Or just a change on the material revision of the BOM header material?
Interesting for you should also be Order Change Management, although not applicable to process orders as far as I know:

    Hi,
Can be change the Purchase Order & Sales Order Text using MASS.
    Regards,

    Hi,
I am also surprised by the behaviour of the BDC.
This is first time when I am facing the problem since I have been using SAP.
I am able to update the PO Text manually , but BDC is giving the problem for only few Materials.
It does sound stupid, but this is the fact here with me.

  • Order Type: LA , when Planned Order --- Prod Order

In STD SAP, In MD04 when we convert planned order to prod order, a new screen comes
where we mention planned order ---> prod order,
In the above screen, ORDER TYPE :LA is mentioned (Bottom Right end corner)
As far to my understanding goes
    In CO40, Order type PP01 which controls/holds
the production orders are being generated
(pickup from MRP parameters, under Planned order --> prod order (Tcode: OPPQ))
Then how does, ORDER TYPE: LA is being used & from where the system is pulling the order type LA
    Please clarify

    Hi Eswer,
Please check with SPRO t.code OMDD
Order profile is linked with  Order type & Procurement type & SP type&  Acct assisnment cat at OMDD.
When u run the MRP based on MRP view settings the Ordetype is selected For EX inhose porduction order type = LA.
When u create planned order manually, u have to select the Order profile manually.

  • Planned Orders -Order level & Order path fields

    Dear all,
In Planned Orders , in the components tab , the following fields are assigned/populated with some values by the system.
    Order level
    Order path
    Assy Order Level
    Assy Order path
Please clarify , on what basis or what is the logic behind this ?
    Thanks,
    Sheik

    Hi Sheik,
I can't see in the online display of a planned order any of the fields that you have mentioned.
Nevertheless, these fields exist in RESB table; in my understanding they are used by SAP inner logic, and am not sure that they make any sense for other use.
