  • Business Flow in SAP for courier Industry

    Hi,
anted how will the business activities flow in SAP for a courier industry configuration.
The complete scenarion from receiving a call from Customer in a call centre / directly by route agent to collection with status management and thereafter repacking for transfer to another HUB or distribution from the centre directly along with FI.
Request to please send me the complete process mapping in SAP.
    Rgds,
    Rajeev

    Dear Rajeev,
This courier concept is mapped in SAP through Service Notifications in Customer Service module.
The Service Notification  which is attended by the Call center has to be linked through the Action Boxes by configuring it whether or not to be notified to the concern Pick up / Delivery Agents by a pager or sms to their mobile and inform about this to the customer also simultaneously.
For this some ABAP requirements will be there.  Some of the Action boxes configuration need to set the workings via ABAP coding.
Again each notification status will be updated based on the actions taken for the process number.
The entire process scenario, you can get from the Customer Service Module.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks and regards.

  • SAP implementation in food industry

    Hi all
Does anybody has implementaion experience in food industry..
    specially wafers industry.....
Coz i wud like to know more abt excise..here for purchasing excise duty has to be paid to vendor ,and this excise duty is loaded on basic price during MIRO
Where as they dont avail the credit
Can anybody share their different experience in food industry .....
This can be helpful for others also those who are implementing SAP in food industry
    regds
    shail

    Hi,
This type of functinality can be Map through using Inventorised  excise  duty.
In this tax procedure is if TAXINN.
then you have to make tax code using FTXP.
In which you will maintain  Condition records for those  condition types which are of inventory type rather than set off.
    Like for BED - JMIP.
                ECS-JEIP
and then two other conditions  JMX2 and JEP2.
hope this is clear if any doubt please ask.
    Regards,
    Vijay

  • SAP - Industry Direction?

    Hello all,
I have several clients that are currently using SAP (older version), and are mainly in the manufacturing industry.  They are considering upgrading ... but, one client in particular has asked me for my thoughts on the direction that the industry as a whole is heading.
Is there a common direction that large (international) manufacturing companies are heading when considering making expensive upgrades?  (Enterprise version?  Other?)
Is there a particular SAP forum, or industry material that I could direct them towards for further input?
    Thank you for your input/advice.

  • Document Management System for sap mm point of view steps

    Hi All.
Document management system for sap mm point of view steps required.
Thanks in advance for all sap mm forum members.
    Regards.
    Parameshwar

    Hi,
Customizing settings can be collected by processes into Business Configuration Sets (BC Sets). BC Sets make Customizing more transparent by documenting and analyzing the Customizing settings. They can also be used for a group rollout, where the customizing settings are bundled by the group headquarters and passed on in a structured way to its subsidiaries.
BC Sets are provided by SAP for selected industry sectors, and customers can also create their own.
When a BC Set is created, values and combinations of values are copied from the original Customizing tables into the BC Set and can be copied into in the tables, views and view clusters in the customer system. The BC Sets are always transported into the customer system in which Customizing is performed.
    Advantages of using BC Sets:
    1.     Efficient group rollout.
    2.     Industry sector systems are easier to create and maintain.
    3.     Customizing can be performed at a business level.
    4.     Change Management is quicker and safer.
    5.     Upgrade is simpler.
To create BC sets follow the below step:
Choose Tools ® Customizing ® Business Configuration Sets® Maintenance in the SAP
menu, or enter the transaction code SCPR3 in the command field.
    Choose Bus.Conf.Set ® Create.

    hi,
    1. use third party orders.
( vendor delivering the goods to a customer of a customer).
The parts requuired by your customer, are not manufactured by your organixation,  these procurement is done by your vendor. this is purely trading business.
Third party orders are also called as Direct shipment or Drop shipment,

  • SAP or Oracle Projects or Niku???

SAP has this industry applications for a Homebuilder. I am a consultant for a big low income housing outfit and we want to integrate everything.
Niku has a good ASP model for projects.
What would be the advantages of Oracle..
    Anyone?
    Thanks!!!

Oracle Projects is fully integrated e-business solution and in R11i has improved quite considerably. Many project driven clients often struggle to accurately measure project performance because they use lots of spreadsheets and guesswork to collate all project related data. Oracle projects integrates with all core financials products and therefore you will capture all costs and be able to drive billing. The module is very flexible. There have been more additions to the module which makes it more complete. However it really depends on the size of the operation that you are implementing. I've not seen the SAP model and the number of clients that have Oracle projects are extremely happy. Its quite a new concept eventhough they would perform project accounting activities in finance. There is ownership responsibility on the project manager. Projects becomes the hub of the business. If there is anything specific you want to know then please feel free to contact me and I will try to get back to you.
