Passing hierachy node variable from BW to BO Webi Report in open doc link

Hello All,
We are working on BW-BO integration and creating Webi reports based on Bex queries.
The question is regarding passing of a hierachy node value from BW to BO through open doc link.
I see that when we pass hierarchy node value, we have to associate that with the corresponding infoobject technical name in the link but not sure in what format it has to be sent.
For example, if ARM is the node value and 0HIERNODE is the infoobject , how should we send this value to BO.
Please help.

You cannot change anything here. You should really find out how the values are retrieved from the database
THere is another option:
1) Activate the tracing on your BOBJ server
Check the following SAP notes (http://service.sap.com/notes) for that:
Unix: Note 1235111
Windows: Note 1260004
2) Run your WebI report from the InfoView by choosing first the desired hierachy node value from the LOV of your prompt.
3) Extract the MDX statement from the log file. It should contain the value for the hierarchy node. Copy this to the URL
It is easier to find this out if you have access to a Crystal Reports Designer installation. Do you?

Google Docs link Help PLEASE

would anyone mind please helping me understand why the google doc link URL that i embed in my website keeps going to the main page instead of the document I am trying to link - or alternatively is requiring me to login before I access the document?
I /simply/ want to be able to let someone click on a link and go to a document that I have posted to Google docs and each time I do this one or the other of the above issues comes up.
I even tried to SHARE the document from withing the Google Docs interface and when I click on the two links in the email they both come up as inacessible (problem number 3).

Can SAP Kernel 640 (linked OCI_9.2) run Ora DB 9.2 via instant client 10g ?

Hello,
One of our old system runs a SAP Kernel 640 OCI_920.
DB server runs Oracle 9.2
We would like to backup it with RMAN to take advantage of backup as saveset with disk_copy_cmd = rman_set
So according to OSS 1101530, we should run at least BrTools 7.00 patch 30 or BRTools 7.10 patch 5.
OSS 849483 and 1060539 state that those Br*Tools can be run with a database server Oracle 9.2 if an Oracle instant client 10g is installed on the Database server.
I wonder if it is possible without upgrading the DB Server to oracle 10g
1) Can SAP Kernel 640 (linked OCI_9.2) run Ora DB 9.2 via instant client 10g ?
2) Or should we go to an SAP Kernel 640_EX2 ?
3) If so, shouldn't Oracle server be upgraded to 10g beforehand ?
I will try to get some clue in the product availibility matrix, but if you already have some piece of information about it, please just shoot !

Store BOM with doc-links

Hi,
I am trying to store a BOM with document links attached to the header and positions. When I call the function CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ it gives me the stored doc-links, but using the funtion CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN doesn't change/add/delete anything concerning the document links.
(e.g. I set the flag FLDELETE in the internal table containing the list of linked docs, but it doens't seem to have any effect).
Am I missing something ?

I know, this is a very old thread, but it was the only one I found by searching that matches exactly my problem.
I tried to execute the FM CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN in SE37 in test mode.
I can add new positions in STPO, no problem, but no matter what I try, i can't insert Doclinks to STPO.
No new entries in DRAD with STPO_DOC are inserted.
I executed CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ to examine the contents of an existing DOC-STPO Link.
I copied the values from CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ T_DOC_LINK to CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN T_DOC_LINK but no error and no data inserted in DRAD.

Once you install the screen painter in your B1 application (as any other addon, you need .ard and installer.exe files) you have a button giving you access to the Screen Painter help file. In there you will learn how to use the ScreenPainter.

How to copy standard scripts
There are some Standard Sap Scripts in SAP. We cant directly execute them in scripts we have to use some T-codes and by giving some input to the required fields we can see the output printform.
I will show one example. There are some Standard Sap Scripts such as MEDRUCK which is a standard Sap Script for Purchase Order and RVINVOICETH for Sales Order billing and so on...
To see oupt of MEDRUCK go to T-code ME9F give purchase order number and execute select one number and click on dislplay messages button on application tool bar you can find the print form of MEDRUCK.
You cannot change the Standard Sap Scripts but you can use Standard Sap Scripts and Copy them to userdefined Script and can make changes to them and replace standard Sap Script with usedefind script.
Ex: Go to SE71,
on menu bar u find Utilities->copy from Client. click on it u ll find new screen showing
Form name:
Source Clinet:
Target Form:
give Form name as usedefined form name EX: ZFORM1
Source client as 000 and
Target form as MEDRUCK.
execute.
Now, the standard from MEDRUCK is copyied to your form ZFORM1.
NOW, go to SE71 and give form name as ZFORM1 and do some changes to the form such as adding logo any thing. save and Activate.
Now, you have done changes to the Form ZFORM1 and u have to replace your form with standard SAP Script.
Go to NACE Transaction.
on Applications select EF for purchase order and click Output types button on application tool bar.
now select NEU as output types dobule click on Processing Routines.
now click on Change option on application tool bar and on right side u find MEDRUCK in form place replace MEDRUCK with ZFORM1 and SAVE.
go back twice and now go to T-code ME9F give the purchase order number and execute and select one option and click on display messges button .
you will find the changes that you have done in ZFORM1. so we cant chage the standard Sap Scripts by copying the Standard Sap Scripts we can chage and replace with our forms.

Output Type
OUTPUT Type or Message Type or Condition Type is the same which is used to determine the Output of an Application document, when to send out from the orgn. It may be sent in different mediums like Printout, fax,Mail,edi etc.
We have to some config in SPRO as well as in the application document and in the NACE Tcode.
NACE is the Tcode used to link the Application type, Output Types and its processing Routines like ( Driver programs and attached Script forms or Smartforms).
You should know the Application of a document first Like:
for PO it is EF, for sales Doc's it is V1, for Delivery docs it is V2, for billing Doc's it is V3 etc.
so first select the Application type (ex: EF) for PO and press OUtput types
then a list will come in that you should know the related output type for PO.
in this case it is NEU,
select that and click on the processing Routines button on the left side
it will display the Medium, Driver Program and the Script form or smartform related to that document..
different application documents have different output types;
example:

Delivery LD00

How to open files from the SAP DMS (DOC Mgt. System) ?

Hello All,
 I making the Transaction CV04N in BSP.
When I execute this CV04N I should give a DOC Nr and the list is generated for this DOC.Now in the List if I select one Record and then Press Display Icon then the content of this list is opened in a new window in it's respective format (PDF,Word,GIF,Image file etc).These are stored in the SAP DMS.
 I want to open a file from this SAP DMS .
This can be done in ABAP using the standard FMs. But in BSP we can't use these FMs as it will call a screen.
The Fm which I'm using is " DOCUMENT_SHOW_DIRECT ".
In Report prog. To this FM I'll pass the
a, DOC Type
b, DOC Number
c, Document part and
d, Document version.
then It'll directly open a PDF file in a new window.
But in BSP how should I acheive this as the FM calls a screen internally.
The content of the documents are stored in the DMS. Is there any TCODE or Table to get the files from the DMS ?
How should I proceed ? can any one help me out.....

Hello All,
 I found the FM : CVAPI_DOC_OPEN_CAD which wil return the file path.
But when I execute this in my BSP since the FM internally calls a screen it fails.
But can anyone tell me the alternative for this.
Should I create a FM omitting the GUI code ?
I found one more thread which says that I can use classes starting with cl_gos*.
But all the classes use a gui.

I too went thru the BSP Applications CVAW_ENTIRE, CVAW_DOCUMENT_DISPLAY.
But these are used to display only the thumbnails.
There is no code for displaying other formats like PDF,XLS etc.
Please correct me if I'm wrong and let me know the correct path to solve my problem.

SAP external files link with DMS

I have one application (like GED) external SAP.
My scenario is: I create one doc in this application that contains (for example: doc number and file). This file can be DOC, PDF, DWG.
When I save this doc, automatically must be create doc in SAP DMS also.
In SAP t-code CV03N search this document and I have this DIR. Double click in file must open it (storaged external SAP).
Must I use t-code OACO?

Hi,
regarding your description I can only offer you the following suggestion and hope that it helps. To create a document info record in the SAP DMS system by using an exeternal application, the relevant function module has to be called via an RFC call.
Please note that in background the calling of DMS transactions are not possible or supported. To create or change a document info record in background I would recommend you to use the BAPIs BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 or BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2 to create or change a Document info record. Please see the SAP note 766277, which contains the full documentation of all BAPIs in the DMS area.
For checking in originals in background, API functions are much more flexible. The document BAPIs always require a SAPGUI or an open RFC connection, because this channel is required to start the program SAPHTTP (or SAPFTP) on the client for the check-in. When the BAPI is used in background, the system doesn't know where to get the original files from.
Please note that the functionality you would like to realize is a very special one for which no standard solution exists. However, API-s are more flexible in some cases, i.e. CVAPI_DOC_CHECKOUTVIEW with RFC destinations defined as SAPHTTPA/SAPFTPA could fulfill your requirements.
Please see also SAP note 504692, which contains sample programs for the checkin in background. Further please see also the other SAP note 796709 which contain also necessary information for this action too.

Automatically connecting Docs LInks to PR line item in ME51N

Hello Experts,
We are using ECC6.0 with EHP6 package and implement MM system. We got a requirement as below.
When User enter any material in ME51N and press enter , we need to automatically load the "related" DMS documents on the basis of some Business roles from the Document Server. When I checked,currently user has to click on the "Document" button and search it ,then add it..But we need to do the same thing automatically.
When I searched found that this is happening in
Class LCL_REQ_ITEM_GRID
Method LINKED_DMS_DOCUMENTS
But not understand how can we achieve our requirement..
Is it possible to achieve this in ME51N?
If Yes, how can we do ,,is there any exit present ?
Kindly let me know if any one have idea on this.

Hi Channappa,
Object linking in ME51N works as follows. You can link DIR's to Line item and not material.
Both linking are done in different ways.
You link following documents to a material master such as design Drawing, Maintainence procedure, Manuals and drawing which is specific to a material.
You link following documents to Purchase order or PR line item which various with every PRor PO such as Material Specifications, Detail Design or internal design document.
Now you can attach same documents to PR/PO line item or Material master based on your business.
If you want automatic apply all DIR linked to Line item in PR/PO, Then this is not possible through standard fucntionality.
My Solution-Wild Guess. Check if on Save you have any BADI ot User exit in PR/PO. You can create a FM which will run on save and fetch all Material Line items and apply all Object links from Material Master to Line item. For this you need to go through BAPI's available for SAP DMS.
