Sapconsole websapconsole

Hello.
We use websapconsole as part of sapgui 6.40 for the connection via WLAN-barcodereaders to SAP.
The connection to the sap-system, the login and the call of the rf-transaction are working fine.
But as the rf-transaction is confirmed, which calls the sap-function "L_TO_CREATE_TR", the message "tranferorder is created" is send from sap via webconsole to the mobile frontend. i could't suppress this message. The effect is, that the terminalscreen is overwritten by this message and the screen partitionally destroyed.
The activation of the Sap-Console Admin entry "skip message confirmation" has no positiv impact in this case.
(with using sapconsole this flag suppresses the message !!!!!!)
Thanks in advance
Uwe

Hi Uwe,
please use in any function L_TO_CREATE_... the exception
error_message = xx
The message won't be shown again and you can handle the message on your own, if you need it.

  • SAPConsole / Websapconsole: Logon to message server

    Dear experts,
is there a way to logon to a logon group? Our production system consists out of several application servers and I can't manage it that Sapconsole is logging on to a group. It works fine for a single server, though.
    Thanks!

    Hello Gunter,
should work when connecting with "Saplogon Selection" and setting the correct System Description. (SAPConsole Administrator / Connection Tab)
Please make sure that your login works with the Sap Logon for SapGui first. If that works then it should work via SapConsole/WebSapConsole using the (exact) System description e.g. "R33 [PUBLIC]" (eventually by setting it manual in case the dropdown doesn't display the possibilities from saplogon.ini)

  • Differences Between SapConsole and WebSapConsole

    Hi everibody.
I am very new in this topic and i am really confuse with both terms.
Is any difference between SAPConsole and WebSAPConsole?.
    Thanks in advantage.
    Ariel
    (sorry my poor english)

    Hi Ariel,
    In order to provide
    small-screen wireless functionality, SAP introduced
the Mobile Data Entry (MDE) transactions in Release 4.6B (and extended them in 4.6C). These simplified business-process transactions are designed to be rendered in either the 8x40 or 16x20 display screens of the typical industrial Radio Frequency (RF) mobile computer.
This rendering is done by “lightweight” middleware
called SAPConsole which translates the SAPGUI protocol into ANSI for the RF mobile computer. This conversion eliminates the GUI features and converts text and input fields to characters that can be displayed on relatively
    simple display screens.
WebSAPConsole does the same thing for HTTP based
browsers on the newer CE mobile computers.
In short WebSAPConsole is the extension to SAPConsole that supports browser capable devices. WebSAPConsole is delivered with the 6.40 Basis release as part of SAP NetWeaver.

  • Log on to SAP via HTTP ( WebSAPConsole)

    Hii all,
I have created one application which is on R/3 side . I have assigned t-code of this application to sapconsole administrator in control panel. then i have create virtual directory name ( mysap , it could be any name ) . Now when i will browse this URL first page will be for sap log in id and password. since this application is being used in warehouse , so from the shopflor person we can not expect to type user id and password each and every time in RF scanner . so is there any way to make the user id and pass word default ? .
This is urgent . Please reply soon.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kavan Shah

If you do not want to hardcode the ID/password on the URL, then your other option is to use SNC.  Setup SNC on the SAPlogon entry for this R/3 system on the SAPConsole server.  When you bring up the WebSAPConsole URL for this profile (you call it virtual directory name, SAPConsole guide calls it profile), it will go directly to the transaction and not display the logon page.  This has been tested successfully with WebSAPConsole deployed on SAP J2EE so if you plan to use this SNC method, use SAP J2EE and not IIS as the web server.

  • WebSAPConsole with Intermec IBrowse, or other browsers?

    hi,
I am using Intermec IBrowse on Intermec 751 - Pockct PC 2003 SE with WebSAPConsole. WebSAPConsole is installed on win2003 with IIS.
    1. Does anyone able to do the onKey mapping?
    The IBrowse instructions stated:
    <meta HTTP-Equiv="IBrowse_OnKey027" content="Javascript:alert('ESC');">
    <meta HTTP-Equiv="IBrowse_OnKey013" content="Javascript:alert('ENTER');">
How to add the above meta header to the WebSAPConsole generated webpages?
I tried setting IIS Headers in IIS admin, but IBrowse fail to work.
    2. the WebSAPConsole generated webpages use the onkeypress event which do not work in Pocket IE and IBrowse. Is there other browsers i can installed, to detect the onKeypress event?
Can someone share your experience, thanks!

    hi JG,
I am refering to Control Panel->SAPConsole Administrator, which i linked to IIS.

  • SAPConsole on RF

    Hi all
We have installed SAPConsole and a Telnet server, plus an RF device with Windows Mobile 5.0.
Do we need to install a Telnet client on the device?  If so, what is the preffered client?  Does SAP have their own?  Are there any that can render the screen graphically as per SAPGUI?
    Thanks...
    JR

No client is required, if you are running the later versions of sapconsole, then websapconsole is included as well.  The device can simply browse to the URL and access SAP via a stripped down gui(really stripped down).  In this case, you don't need the telnet server either.  If you want to stick with the old text based UI, then you will need some sort of emulator on the device.  In my past experience, we always used TE2000 as the emulator, this was for a text based device anyway.  In a windows environment, you need this emulator to render the text based screens I believe.

  • Are WebSAPConsole and Web Console are two different offerings from SAP  ?

We have been using SAP Console based on Telnet to provide RF functionality and I know that SAP is now delivering WebSAPConsole which is an enhanced SAPConsole
    to support web-equipped devices.
With Mobile Infrasturture, SAP is delivering WebConsole with 6.40 WAS standard and If I understand correctly, role of this webconsole is to help deploy ME clients on the handhelds...etc.
Please comment and correct me if I am wrong ?
    Thanks,

SAP WebConsole is base on WAS architecture.

  • Recomended RF Devices for WebSAPConsole (telnet and http modes)

I'm about to start implementing RF transactions for a client.
We're using WebSAPConsole with SAPGui 6.4 and SAP ECC 6.0 based on NW2004S.
I'm looking for a list of make, model and specifications for RF devices that haven been proven to work well with SAPConsole using TelNet server (character mode) or MS IIS server (Gui interface).
I know that Symbol , Inetrmec and TekLogix have such RF devices.
But, I want to learn from your experience based on what you have actually used during implementation.
Could someone provide me this info?

Hi,  we've been using the character based Intermec Antares T2425 handheld units for the passed 5 years or so.   They work quite well,  and hold up to a lot of abuse.

  • WebSAPConsole , telnet serever ,RF terminal and SAP logon screen

What would be the easiest way to connect RF terminal(character based) to an SAP system.
Of course it is via WebSAPconsole. As far as I red WebSAPconsole guide if I want to use it to connect character based RF terminal is the same as preaviously SAPconsole(under e.g.SAP enterprise 4.7 ext2.)
1.st install telnet server (best SLnet 2.6RF from Seattle LABS) and then configure In SAP console administrator in Control panel entered corresponding system ip,sysnr and transaction code(from saplogon)
However on RF terminal SAP logon screen does not appear. But only telnet prompt.
What to do? Should the  telnet server and SAP console be on an other machine than SAP server(ECC6)?

    Hi Thomas Kremer,
Can you help me to solve this issue!?
I´m facing with same error then you. I did a homogenous  system copy and after I finish this SAPINST I install the saplogon and of course I try to accede to SAP system and the first thing that display in system is that short dump -->  dynpro_itab_error
What´s this?! How you solve this issue... can you remmember? (I know that already was a two years ago but even so if you remember this can you share with me!?).

  • WebSAPConsole Issues - Profiles

    Hi All,
As per note 802251 & SAP's WebSAPconsole User Guide I have set up the URL for my WebSAPConsole with parameters for auto login: http://<location>?u=USERNAME&c=100&s=PASSWORD&a
This works fine and I can login automatically.
But I am having an issue with my login when I try to include a profile in the URL: http://<location>?p=PROFILE&u=USERNAME&c=100&s=PASSWORD&a
I have setup a default SAPconsole Aministrator profile called PROFILE (as per WebSAPconsole User Guide) and when I include it as a parameter in the URL it does not (1)log me automatically anymore (2) does not allow multiple logins even though this has been configured in the profile.
Am I doing something wrong with my SAPconsole Aministrator profile setup?
    Thanks,
    N.
    I am using SAPconsole Administrator 1.0, SAP ECC 5.0 & IE6.

    Hi Niall!
PL MAKE SURE YOU ARE PASSING THE PARAMETER VALUES IN THE CORRECT ORDER.THAT WILL SOLVE YOUR ISSUE.YOU HAVE THE CLIENT AFTER THE USER ID.MAKE IT
    P,C,U,S,L,A.
Otherthan that, Everything looks good.I guess you are not passing on the right profile. But Still if your profile name is wrong you should get the logon Screen with logon field values blanked out and default client 000.
Do you get atleast the logon screen?
Anyhave Here is the link we use in our system.
    http://<IP>/webconsole/isapi_sapcnsl.dll?p=PRF&c=000&u=xxxxxxxx&s=yyyyyyyy&l=en&a
For Profile You just make sure you pass the correct profile parameter. For Instance when you open up your SAP Console Administrator, you should see ur Profile in Black Bold on the left side window.make sure the profile name is correct!
You must have seen this below info already.Just make sure you have set it correctly.
SAPConsole has the following command line parameters:
    Web Version
    Where:
    p = profile name
    c = client
    u = user name
    s = password
    l = language
a = try to login without confirmation
These parameters are added to URL using "GET" method.
    The priority of parameters: p, c, u, s, l, a.
    Examples (for IIS):
    http://alextest/sap/isapi_sapcnsl.dll?p=u9b
    http://alextest/sap/isapi_sapcnsl.dll?c=800&u=alex&s=223322&l=en
    http://alextest/sap/isapi_sapcnsl.dll?p=u9b&c=800&u=alex&s=223322&l=en&a
    http://alextest/sap/isapi_sapcnsl.dll?p=u9b&c=800&u=alex&s=223322&l=en
Update me if this has resolved the issue & donot forget the rewards

  • WebSapConsole Users Guide

    Hi folks,
I cannot find the WebSapConsole Users Guide and WebSapConsole Installation guide.  I read the SAP Documentation in RFID Mobile Infrastructure and it refers to the:
      1) WebSapConsole Users Guide  and
      2) WebSapConsole Installation Guide
Can anyone give me a link for these documents or actually mail them to me.
    [email protected]
Please do not confuse the 'WebSapConsole' with the 'Webconsole'.  We do not use RFID, but bar code readers.
    Thanks,
    Vincent

    Hi Lodo and Enrique,
First, WebSAPConsole and WebConsole are two different things altogether. I can say this very confidently because I had myself studied WebSAPConsole (though not worked on it) and currently working on WebConsole. I will clarify things just a bit more:
WebSAPConsole is a web based enhancement of SAPConsole. SAPConsole does not contain any business logic, external databases, or complex functionality. It simply and efficiently translates just about any SAPGUI screen of your ever-growing SAP R/3 system to its character-based equivalent. It is acts as a middleware between RF devices and R/3 Systems.
On the other hand WebConsole is a part of J2EE Stack on a Mobile Infrastructure (MI) Server which is used to deploy applications to and data to & from the MI Client devices which are PDAs, Laptops, etc.
Now for the question you asked; please search for ‘Web-Enabled SapConsole’ in service.sap.com and you will find the latest WebSAPConsole Installation Guide and also a WebSAPConsole User Guide under the ‘Documents’ tab.  I think you will have to also apply a patch to get things going. I am sorry for not providing you with the exact link.
Enrique you can do the same for getting info about WebSAPConsole. However, I advice you to go through the documents related to SAPConsole first which will help making things easier for you.
Kindly let me know if you require any additional help.

  • How to deploy  WebSAPConsole on WAS 6.40

    Dear BODO
I need help from you. I have SAP GUI 6.4 (Default WebSAPConsole) WAS 6.4
Now how to connect these 2 things?,
I have searched everywhere but I m not able to do.
What is the procedure of deployment of WebSAPConsole? Do I need MI also?
I am not seeing any folder related to that SAP.  sapcons\sapcons.ear
I really stuck on this please if any docs will help me??
I have configured SAPConsole Character based application for RF devices.
    Please help me??
    thanks

    Just refer this link.
Contains details to migrate applications from WAS 6.20 to 6.40.
This contain general information regarding migration.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ce/2074d9b0fcde4f978bb0118e5b30c7/frameset.htm
If ur application is compatible to other servers(JBoss, Web Logic) , i meant developed using
Developer Studio other than NW Developer Studio , then u have to properly change the descriptor
in a manner that is compatible to the SAP J2EE WAS.
    Refer these too

  • SAPConsole sapwebconsole

    Hi,
Currently we are using SAPConsole (which is part of SAPGUI) to translate our screens to mobile screens.
We have some problems with SAPConsole. So we are looking for something better. As I searched sdn Websapconsole may be a solution. But there are conflictions. So I want to ask some questions.
    1. Does WebSAPConsole do the work of Sapconsole?
    2. Is WebSApConsole necessarily part of SAP XI?
    I wish you can help
    Best Regards

    Hi sez,
    i haven't worked with SAPConsole.
I could realize that , WebSAPConsole and WebCosole are different things.
    <u>WebSAPConsole</u>
is the next generation interface from SAP, allowing direct connect to SAP R/3 from Browser based RF terminals.
Instead of using a Telnet Server & Clients, RF users connect to SAP R/3 via a HTTP session created by WebSAPConsole.
just go through this link .. this tells the difference bw SAPConsole and WebSAPConsole...
    Differences Between SapConsole and WebSapConsole
    But <u>WeBConsole</u> , as i mentioned earlier ,
is associated with  NetWeaver Mobile Infrastructure.
    Just go throgh this also.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/2147e190-0201-0010-87be-c32158b78336
      Here comes the  difference ..
SAP MI - > its an offline solution by SAP.
WebConsole  is the interface used to administrate the mobile devices (Associated with MI).

  • Getting Handheld devices to Work - XSLT, WebSAPConsole etc

    Hi
We are trying to get the mobile handheld device working AII. We are using Intermec IP4. We are referring to the Mobile Device Integration Guide pdf document from SAP. We have got the WebSAPConsole to display the \AIN\MOBILE1 transactions, and we are able to do pick pack etc with AII.
But how do we get a mobile device to read data and communicate to SAPAII?
At the WebSAPConsole administrator in the "Web" tab, we originally had:
Displayer Filename = WebDisplayer.dll. We used an XSLT to try to activate ActiveX controls on HTML page and registered this XSLT in registry as in the pdf guide. But, we could not see any ActiveX controls loaded or activated in the HTML page on mobile device (or even on desktop browser).
Next, as per guide we used XMLDisplayer.dll in console administrator instead of WebDisplayer.dll, but we get the error: "Error: can`t initialize" on the browser. We could not find such a file as "XMLDisplayer.dll" in the WebSAPConsole server's installed directory.
How do we get the correct XMLDisplayer.dll file?
Also, the trace file loacted at c:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\websapconsole\log\AII4.0\ is not having any content. How do we get a trace?
Can anyone help in getting this device working please? What steps are to be followed?
Also, can someone how someone can help us in understanding how all this works?
    Regards
    SN

    Hello SN,
first of all: websapconsole only can display a subset of gui controls see Note 535075.
The traces: I assume that you put the Tracelevel to 3, please remember that the user credentials for the isapi under webserver are restricted. I.e. the directory you are trying to write to is probably forbidden for IUSR_.. / IWAM_...
Please try a directory of which you know that is writable to all e.g. c:\temp.
Then the XMLDisplayer: There is no such thing like a correct XMLDisplayer, it is the correct one and (I checked) is delivered in the lastest SapGUI 640 patch.
The XMLDisplayer is just a generic XSLT processor that takes the gui model generated by the backend and a XSLT translation files and produces some (mostly HTML) output.
You already found the dependencies for WebSapConsole in the registry.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\Ofek\SapConsole\Profiles\..]
The XMLDisplayer is relying on the following entries:
    SapPageDisplayer XMLDisplayer.dll
      (the transformer)
    TransformerXSL transform.xsl
(the translation that drives the application)
    OfflineTransformerXSL offline.xsl
(the translation called for messaging / error e.g. "connection to R3 broken")
Some of the handheld firms are delivering an XML translation file for Websapconsole for their product.
If you don't have an xsl file then a good start would be to define a small xslt that matches all and generates all the nodes "as is" to the output.
Then the base XML model is clear and you can start e.g. rebuild the websapconsole webdisplayer.dll HTML output and from that point you're free to change it to your needs as long as you stick with the fieldnames and the submitting scheme.

      Fekke
