/SAPSLL/MARC_UL_R3 - Copy R/3 MARC Entries to GTS

I have been using transaction /SAPSLL/MARC_UL_R3 to load tariff numbers into GTS from an excel spreadsheet. Does this transaction allow for the deletion of tariff numbers from GTS? Is there a way to do a mass delete of tariff numbers from GTS?

Hi Alison,
As far as I know - and as always, others are welcome to correct me..
That Transaction carries out mass classification of Products in GTS. It does not affect the Commodity Codes in GTS - they already have to be there before you run the program.
And there is no standard way to mass-delete Commodity Codes or Tariff Codes from GTS.

When I create the forms is there some javascript or possibly a setting that would allow the end user to copy to clipboard the form fields and their entered text. Or another option that would work is to have only the entries in the text boxes copy to clipboard. Is that even possible?

Copying fields is not possible in Reader.

SMSY entries for GTS (Global Trade Services) system

We configured RCA for our Solution Manager v7.01 ehp1 sp06. All of our
systems are showing Change Analysis data except for our GTS system.
I need to find the proper entries in SMSY and why it is not extacting
change analysis data. Im suspecting its the product definition for the GTS IN SMSY...
Our GTP system is GTS 7.0 NW7.0 sp19. I created a product

Hi Nishant!
When you use 'for all entries' SAP (or database?) does a 'delete adjacent duplicates' on the result. This is necessary because of the special selection technique in this case.
You need to select enough columns from /sapsll/prt, so that your two entries will differ in the result.

Copy journal entry error

Hi experts,
I detected an error that occurs when I try to copy an existing journal entry. I think that the problem is related to the maximum length of the description of the journal entry, that is 160 characters. When I copy an existing journal entry, BPC adds a prefix at the beginning of the description (for example: "COPY TO #379 :" ). The problem occurs when the length of the description of the original journal entry is close to the maximum lenght and therefore, the length of the new journal exceeds 160 characters. The only solution that comes to my mind is to try to limit the number of characters in the descriptions. Is there a different solution so that there is no need to reduce the description? Thank you in advance.

it´s better to use tools like DataTransfer (DTW) or copy Express.... however if you need to "replicate" via SDK... you should use the following object of SAP:
-Company (for connect to other company)
-2 JournalEntry (for get journal entries of other database and Add on my current DB)
-SAPbobsCOM.Recordset : for get data for "other" DB
The code is something like this:

Calendar with Anna, copy of entry no longer availa...

Did any of you also notice, that copy of a calendar entry is no longer possible with the anna update.
I'm actually using a N8. Before it was possible to select a calender entry by a long click on it and chosing copy. this seems gone with anna.
Or has this functionality been moved to somewhere else? Does anyone know something about this?

if you want to tranport just the table it can do as you are doing as normal transport.
If you want copy the entris of one table to another same table ( same structure ).
for that you need to write the program like.
take the entries of one table to internal table and inset into the another table.

Why can't i copy and paste a calendar event?

Why does Apple not implement copy/paste of events in the iPhone and iPod calendar. People have asked for this very simple feature for years now, and Apple is unresponsive. Furthermore, I have been told by several calendar app developers that Apple will not allow them to implement the feature. For example, Calvetica and Week Cal HD both told me they were not allowed by Apple to implement copy/paste. Additionally, Week Cal HD had implemented the feature, and Apple removed the app from the store! What is going on here? I think we deserve an answer. Windows Mobile always allowed copy/paste of calendar entries, even many years ago. This just doesn't make sense unless there is some bigger issue in play. I also notice that the calendar is never included in the list of OS apps. Does Apple not own the calendar app it provides as standard?

Using copy and paste in Adobe Bridge 5.0

When using Adobe Bridge 5.0, and while adding metadata to photos, whenever I use the command control-C to copy and paste metadata entries, my software locks up and I have to reboot. The last time this happened, I was told to clear my Cache, and that worked, but now I have cleared the cache several times and rebooted, and the software still locks up.

PC Suite 4 not copying all Phonebook and Calendar ...

I'm trying to use the Content Copier to back-up my phone data to a PC'. I've done this a few times in the past without problems, but now when I try it only 50 phonebook entries (though there are over 200 in my phone memory) are being copied, and no calendar entries at all. I've tried it with two different 6210 phones, and I've tried both the 'Copy data from a phone to a PC' and the 'Copy data from one phone to another' options, but each time the results are the same - 50 phonebook and 0 calendar entries. The same thing happens

It would seem that this is what it would be.I saved them all to sim bar a few when I got this phone due to this very problem... losing contacts! and having to enter them manually on a new phone. I would've thought being a phone that your contacts are the most important. Strange Nokia idea.

Handling Recurring Journal Entries in BPC 7.0NW

Hi all,
I'm looking for suggestions on handling the posting of Recurring Journal entries in a Legal Consolidation. I'm new to BPC, and am afraid I don't know the "best" way to do this. Currently, we are assuming that we would "copy" the previous months' entries into the new month, but when I do this, the Description of the entry says "Copy xxxx", which of course is not acceptable! The users don't want to have to open and maintain the description on 30 entries every month when the values posted are the same.
Perhaps there is another way to handle these entries?

The documentation around re-opening journals isn't really clear; I wasn't sure of the purpose of re-open.
Can you re-open a journal multiple times? In other words, the journal is created in January, and you re-open it in Feb, Mar, Apr, etc. for many months? Or do you flag each new journal as re-open, and re-open the one from the period before in the new month, i.e. the Jan journal re-opened in Feb; the Feb journal re-opened in Mar.
Can you change the values in the journal after you re-open and before you save?
And lastly, does the new journal in any way affect the original journal?
I know there is a translation table associated with re-opening journals, but as far as I can see I can leave this table with a single entry indicating "*" for all dimensions, which means the Entity, Account and Intercompany dimensions will stay the same upon re-opening. Is this your experience?

Problems copying and renaming web pages

hello chaps,
having some difficulties in using the rename function when applying to to existing web pages.
basically I want to make a copy of a page and then rename it. In the Project tree, I copy, then right click the web pages node and paste. A new file appears with an autogenerated name.
I then attempt to rename the copy and JSC comes up with the refactoring dialog, which I then apply. However, on the two occassions I have tried this, the references in the JSP file to the new name weren't updated, and the file itself wasn't renamed, I have then had to manually apply edits and change file names which didn't actually work properly anyway (the resulting page had duplicate components)
I also noted that while there was a new entry in managed-beans.xml for the newly named file, the initial copy still had an entry (which I removed)
I am using XP for development/ MySQL, logged on as a user with administrator rights.
I haven't tested this very rigorously, only tried it twice. Both pages contained page fragments.

We just created client 100 and cliant role custmization but when trying using sccl for client copy it show the SAP_CUST and some rcf error .
Please suggest.

sccl and choose profile and user master data

redo에 관한 latch를 조정함으로써 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.
여기에서는 redo allocation latch와 redo copy latch의 작동 원리와, tuning
방법 등을 설명한다. 그리고 8i에서의 변경 사항도 포함하였다.
1. redo entry를 redo log buffer에 할당하는 방법
database에 변경 작업을 수행하는 server process는 PGA 부분에 변경 작업에 대한
redo entry를 만든다. 그리고 이것을 redo log buffer에 옮기는데, 이 때 먼저
할당될 redo log buffer의 부분을 allocation하고, 그 이후에 allocation 된
redo log buffer 공간에, PGA 상에 만들어 둔 redo entry를 copy한다.
Oracle은 SGA 내에서 발생하는 source code의 action의 serialization을 위해서
latch를 사용한다. 즉, log buffer에서 redo entry를 save시킬 공간을 할당하는
작업 절차도 먼저 latch를 부여받은 process가 작업하는 것이고, 할당받은
공간에 redo entry를 copy시키는 작업 절차도 latch를 획득한 다음에만 수행
가능하다.
2. redo allocation latch
모든 redo entry는 db에 수행된 작업 순서대로 redo log file에 기록되어야 한다.
그러므로 redo log buffer에 redo entry를 할당하는 작업은 항상 serialization을
유지하여야 하고, 그런 이유로 인해서 redo allocation latch는 instance마다
하나만이 가능하다.
server process는 이 redo allocation latch를 잡고, redo buffer 내에 redo
entry를 저장시킬 위치를 확보한다.
다음에 설명할 redo copy latch를 사용할 수 없는 환경에서는, redo buffer 내의
확보한 공간 내에 redo entry를 copy하는 작업도 이 redo allocation latch를
잡은 후 진행한다.
3. redo copy latch (LOG_SIMULTANEOUS_COPIES)
redo allocation latch 하나를 이용하여 redo buffer 내의 공간을 할당하고,
redo entry를 copy하는 것은, redo buffer에 대한 작업을 모두 serialize시켜
performance에 지장을 줄 수 있다.
redo entry가 위치할 공간을 확보하는 작업은 반드시 시간 순서대로 위치해야
하기 때문에 모두 순서가 유지되어야 하는 작업이지만, 일단 확보한 log
buffer의 공간에 redo entry를 copy하는 작업은 동시에 수행되어도 지장이
없다. 이것을 위해 복수 개의 redo copy latch를 지정하여, redo entry를 확보된
영역에 동시에 copy가 가능하도록 하였다. 단 이러한 copy 작업은 CPU의
작업이므로 CPU가 한장이면, 동시 작업이 불가능하여 이 redo copy latch를
사용하는 것이 의미가 없어 사용이 불가능하다.
즉, redo buffer에 대한 작업이 redo copy latch를 사용하면, 다음과 같은
절차로 수행된다.
(1) A server process가 redo allocation latch를 잡고 redo buffer 내의 공간을
할당한 후 redo allocation latch는 푼다.
(2) B server process가 redo allocation latch를 잡고 redo buffer의 새로운

entry를 (1)번 단계에서 확보한 공간에 copy한다.
이와 동시에 B process도 또 다른 redo copy latch를 잡고, (2)번 단계에서
확보한 공간에 redo entry를 copy한다.
redo copy latch의 갯수는 log_simultaneous_copies parameter에 의해 지정된다.
CPU가 하나이면 이 값은 0가 되어, redo allocation latch를 이용해 redo
allocation과 redo copy 작업을 한번에 수행하게 되며, default는 CPU_COUNT 값이
된다. CPU_COUNT는 operating system layer에 의해 자동으로 결정되며, init.ora
file에 명시적으로 지정하지 않는 parameter이다.
즉, multi CPU 환경에서는 자동으로 redo copy latch를 사용하게 되는 것이다.
default 외의 값을 사용하고자 한다면, $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initSID.ora file 내에
다음과 같이 지정하면 된다. 최대값의 제한은 없다.
log_simultaneous_copies=n
redo copy latch의 장점을 정리하면, redo buffer의 공간 할당을 위해 선행된
작업이 redo entry를 copy할 때까지 기다리지 않아도 되며, redo copy 작업 자체도
병렬도 수행이 가능하다는 것이다.
4. LOG_SMALL_ENTRY_MAX_SIZE
CPU를 복수개를 사용하는 경우 redo copy latch를 사용하는 것이 redo log buffer
내의 작업에 대한 wait는 줄일 수 있음은 위에서 살펴보았다. 그런데 매우 작은
redo entry의 경우 redo entry를 copy하는 데 시간이 거의 걸리지 않은 상황에서
굳이 redo allocation과 redo copy를 별도의 latch를 이용하여 두 단계로 나누어
작업하는 것이 성능 향상에 도움이 되지 않을 수도 있다. 오히려 copy하는 데 시간이
거의 안 걸린다면 redo allocation latch 하나를 잡고서 redo allocation과 redo
copy를 모두 수행하는 것이 나을 수도 있다.
그렇다면 redo copy latch를 사용하는 상황에서 이 latch를 사용하지 않아도 되는,
작은 redo entry의 기준을 설정할 필요가 있다.
이것을 결정하는 parameter가 log_small_entry_max_size이다.
즉, log_small_entry_max_size보다 큰 redo entry는 redo copy를 위해 redo copy
latch를 사용하지만, 이보다 작은 크기의 redo entry에 대해서는 redo allocation
latch를 이용하여 redo allocation과 copy를 모두 수행하게 되는 것이다.
아무리 작은 redo entry라도 redo copy latch를 사용하게 하고 싶다면 이 값을
0으로 지정하면 된다.
5. tuning point
multi-CPU 환경에서 redo copy latch의 갯수를 늘리거나, log_small_entry_max_size
값을 줄여야 할때는 redo buffer에 contention이 발생하는 경우이다.
redo buffer에 contention이 발생하는지 확인하는 방법은 다음과 같다.
SQL>select name, gets, misses from v$latch where name = 'redo allocation';
이 값의 결과에서 gets에 대한 misses의 비율이 1%를 넘는다면 이것은 contention
이 존재한다고 판단될 수 있다. 물론 이것은 절대적인 기준은 아니어서, 1% 미만
이라 하더라도 miss 율을 더 줄이고자 할 수도 있다.
contention이 발생하면 log_simultaneous_copies의 값을 CPU의 약 두배 정도까지
증가시키는 것이 권고할 만하고, log_small_entry_max_size의 값도 0에 가까운
값으로 줄여서 contention의 상황을 지속적으로 살펴보아야 한다.
6. 8i 에서의 변경 사항
Oracle 8.1 에서는 위에서 설명한 두 parameter가 모두 나타나지 않는다.
log_small_entry_max_size parameter는 완전히 없어졌으며,
log_simultaneous_copies 값은 CPU_COUNT의 두배로 무조건 설정이 된다.
이 CPU_COUNT는 앞에서 설명한 것과 같이 operating system layer에 의해
자동으로 결정되는 parameter로 CPU의 갯수를 나타낸다.
log_simultaneous_copies가 자동으로 CPU 갯수의 2배로 지정되는 것은 모든
환경에서 대부분 최적이라고 볼 수 있으므로, user가 변경하지 않도록 하기 위해
parameter 부분에 display가 안 되도록 하였다.

된다. CPU_COUNT는 operating system layer에 의해 자동으로 결정되며, init.ora
file에 명시적으로 지정하지 않는 parameter이다.
즉, multi CPU 환경에서는 자동으로 redo copy latch를 사용하게 되는 것이다.
default 외의 값을 사용하고자 한다면, $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/initSID.ora file 내에
다음과 같이 지정하면 된다. 최대값의 제한은 없다.
log_simultaneous_copies=n
redo copy latch의 장점을 정리하면, redo buffer의 공간 할당을 위해 선행된
작업이 redo entry를 copy할 때까지 기다리지 않아도 되며, redo copy 작업 자체도
병렬도 수행이 가능하다는 것이다.
4. LOG_SMALL_ENTRY_MAX_SIZE
CPU를 복수개를 사용하는 경우 redo copy latch를 사용하는 것이 redo log buffer
내의 작업에 대한 wait는 줄일 수 있음은 위에서 살펴보았다. 그런데 매우 작은
redo entry의 경우 redo entry를 copy하는 데 시간이 거의 걸리지 않은 상황에서
굳이 redo allocation과 redo copy를 별도의 latch를 이용하여 두 단계로 나누어
작업하는 것이 성능 향상에 도움이 되지 않을 수도 있다. 오히려 copy하는 데 시간이
거의 안 걸린다면 redo allocation latch 하나를 잡고서 redo allocation과 redo
copy를 모두 수행하는 것이 나을 수도 있다.
그렇다면 redo copy latch를 사용하는 상황에서 이 latch를 사용하지 않아도 되는,
작은 redo entry의 기준을 설정할 필요가 있다.
이것을 결정하는 parameter가 log_small_entry_max_size이다.
즉, log_small_entry_max_size보다 큰 redo entry는 redo copy를 위해 redo copy
latch를 사용하지만, 이보다 작은 크기의 redo entry에 대해서는 redo allocation
latch를 이용하여 redo allocation과 copy를 모두 수행하게 되는 것이다.
아무리 작은 redo entry라도 redo copy latch를 사용하게 하고 싶다면 이 값을
0으로 지정하면 된다.
5. tuning point
multi-CPU 환경에서 redo copy latch의 갯수를 늘리거나, log_small_entry_max_size
값을 줄여야 할때는 redo buffer에 contention이 발생하는 경우이다.
redo buffer에 contention이 발생하는지 확인하는 방법은 다음과 같다.
SQL>select name, gets, misses from v$latch where name = 'redo allocation';
이 값의 결과에서 gets에 대한 misses의 비율이 1%를 넘는다면 이것은 contention
이 존재한다고 판단될 수 있다. 물론 이것은 절대적인 기준은 아니어서, 1% 미만
이라 하더라도 miss 율을 더 줄이고자 할 수도 있다.
contention이 발생하면 log_simultaneous_copies의 값을 CPU의 약 두배 정도까지
증가시키는 것이 권고할 만하고, log_small_entry_max_size의 값도 0에 가까운
값으로 줄여서 contention의 상황을 지속적으로 살펴보아야 한다.
6. 8i 에서의 변경 사항
Oracle 8.1 에서는 위에서 설명한 두 parameter가 모두 나타나지 않는다.
log_small_entry_max_size parameter는 완전히 없어졌으며,
log_simultaneous_copies 값은 CPU_COUNT의 두배로 무조건 설정이 된다.
이 CPU_COUNT는 앞에서 설명한 것과 같이 operating system layer에 의해
자동으로 결정되는 parameter로 CPU의 갯수를 나타낸다.
log_simultaneous_copies가 자동으로 CPU 갯수의 2배로 지정되는 것은 모든
환경에서 대부분 최적이라고 볼 수 있으므로, user가 변경하지 않도록 하기 위해
parameter 부분에 display가 안 되도록 하였다.

i am updating MARA , MARC through BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA , i am getting RETURN-TYPE = 'S' and MARA is updating but MARC is not updating
