Save entry in dropdown ALV

Dear Friends,
I made a colum in my Container based ALV as editable and given a drop down using METHOD GRID->SET_DROP_DOWN_TABLE.
I am able to get the values in dropdown.
But i want to capture these selected values on save and save it back to database.
I checked the internal table in PAI these changes are not captured?
How to capture these dropdown selections?
Appreciate your help.

Hi,
It is not possible to save layout in BLock ALV display but possible to change layout. There is no parameter to save. It is not possible to store the layout as it has several structure.

Create standard sap "SAVE" button along with ALV grid buttons

I need to create a standard SAP "Save" button in my ALV GRID display in the application tool bard
I copied the PF-Status 'standard' from a SAP program and assinged it here.
When i try to add the SAP save buttion by using this standard pf-status , its not getting displayed in the application tool bar.
But in STandard TOOl bar (in menu painter ) , when i assign save its displayed in the screen .
I need this to be displayed in the application tool ba
Please suggest me how to do this.

Application of ALV means the place where the buttons(standard for ALV) like sort,add,delete,copy etc are dipslayed.IF u need need to add a save button on the same toolbar/same place u need to copy the standard GUI status of standard ALV program .For that go to SE80 , give the program name as SAPLSLVC_FULLSCREEN
In the GUI status u'll find the status named as STANDARD_FULLSCREEN ....Right click on it and give the "TO Program " as your program.Now once u activate ur program u'll find the same status there.
add ur save button in the status by edidting it. Now u need to write the FORM ENDFORM for user command and assign the form name in caps to the USER_COMMAND parameter in the func module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY.

How to save entries in Cash Journal with status 'Posted'?

Hi all,
I has been asked to create entries in a Cash Journal with status 'POSTED'. Obviously, FM 'BAPI_CASHJOURNALDOC_CREATE' only saves entry (status 'SAVED'), but didn't change its status to 'POSTED'.
After some investigation of different FM in a CJ area, I found the only way to change status via CALL TRANSACTION 'FBCJ' -> 'POST ALL' (for receipts, for example). This is not a decition I'm searching for.
My question is: how can I change status of a Cash Journal single entry to 'Posted'?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Calendar said if I wanted to save entries for more than a month to click 'all events' in settings. Now all events except birthdays have disappeared! Have tried to reverse request with no luck. HELP!

The size of you HD is calculated binary when it comes to use it, instead of decimal when companies want to advertise there products. 1 KB=1024Byte instead of 1000KB as advertised by the manufacturer. In your case this reduces the actual available space by the factor of 0.93 or approx. 7,4GB.
If you have an "other" section in your color bar showing the different types of data on your ipod, which is bigger than 500MB, this could be a sign of corrupt data caused by a sync that did not complete or copied damaged data. A restore will reduce the size to normal again.

Delete the entry from dropdown list in the pop up window in ALV report

I have a requirement in the ALV interactive report ZMM_IMPL .If we enter selection screen parameters its displaying the first screen.If we click on 'Goods Issue' tab ,it display the pop up window for Requirement Pick list with Batch number ,Storage location and Quantity.Here we have F4 option for batch number(MCH1-CHARG) and we could see all batches (with stock and without stock) in the drop down.
Now my requirement is i would need to delete the non stock batches from drop down values.
Ex:we clich F4 in batch number field(CHARG) ,could see 4 batches Test1 ,Test2 ,Test3 and Test4 .Here Test1 ,Test2 are Batch stock and other two are Non stock batches. We could see all these batches (with and without stock) in MCHB table.Now i would need to delete non stock batches(Batch with zero qty (MCHB-CLABS = 0) from drop down.
Any idea on this.

User wants to appear only batches with stock value in the drop down .Here Batches test1, test2 , test3 have stock but test4 has no stock value. Now the requirement is if stock does not exist in any of those batches it should not appear in the drop down and propose batches based on quantity.
Batch stock value can be seen through transaction MB52 and could see only Test1.Test2 and Test3.
They have arleady code in the program for F4 help to Batch number as following,

Determining Duplicate Entries in Editable ALV Grid

Hopefully this question is not as obvious as it may seem at first. Thanks for any input or ideas...read carefully, it is not just a simple duplicate check with which I'm having a problem.
I have an editable ALV grid and I need to ensure that the user doesn't try to enter the same material number twice. I used the program BCALV_EDIT_03 and 04 as a model. I can tell if in my session a user is trying to put in the material number twice. Not a problem. I can also tell if the user is trying to add a material to the ones already on the grid that is a duplicate. That is not a problem either. Here is the catch...and I'd like to point out that BCALV_EDIT_04 has the same problem.
The user enters line 10 with material 0245 and line 20 with 0345. There is no duplicate. Then they say, 'Oooops, I got them backward' and then move 0345 to line 10 and 0245 to line 20. When you hit enter, the change handler says that line 10 and 20 were changed and the field MATNR was changed. It then compares the new fields to what is already in the grid...low and behold the grid already has these two entries and the protocol adds the error for both lines.
I will add the code here, but it is pretty much exactly as in BCALV_EDIT_04. If you want to see the error in that program execute it, put in two new lines with the same airline and two different dates and hit save. Everything is fine. Then swap the dates and hit Save again...it will say these are duplicates, which they are not...this program is not saving to the database. The only difference between mine and bcalv_edit_04 is that mine uses an 'ENTER' event and not a 'SAVE'.
I'm looking for good ideas on how to compare the two...the mt_good_cells (session active) and the grid itself to know when a user has 'moved' data. The current workaround is for the user to copy the line and then reapply it...but that seems a bit glitchy.

How to save entries in a fillable form

I have created a fillable form using Adobe Acrobat X Pro (I uploaded a form created in Word 2010, and modified it slightly using Adobe X), but users I send the form to are unable to save their entries.How do I allow users to save the information they have entered in the fillable form?
Do recipients of the form have to have a specific version of Adobe in order to save their entries in the fillable form I created using Acrobat X Pro?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Ok! I think I've got the hang of how to edit and distribute the form. I see that Adobe records user responses, is there some way to block this feature?
For my purposes, I really just need to send the fillable form as an email attachment to users, have the users enter and save their responses into the form, and then have them send the modified form back to me as an email attachment.

Save Changed layout of ALV

I am using the class 'cl_salv_table' to create an ALV. In the application toolbar I have the option to change the layout displayed in tha ALV but I am not able to save my changed layout. Please suggest how do I enable the save layout button in the toolbar.

This demo example creates a PF status for displaying the buttons, Can I not get the buttons using the standard functions available with the ALV. I am getting the change layout on its own I am not reqd to create a PF status for it. Can I not enable the button save layout also. Also if I create the PF status I would have to add all the buttons reqd in the ALV in the PF status manually

U need to implement an user_command and manage the functionality SAVE: when the user press SAVE you'll store the data into db.
There are several programs demo in SAP and many solution in SCN forum: try to search it

Popup variable entry with dropdown

Hello,
I have a web template (WAD in 2004s) and I need that when the template was executed the popup for variable entry values appears as a dropdown box instead of the tipical selection popup.
I have found a how to (How tou2026Use a dropdown box to set variable values 3.x) but I need that the dropdown appears from the beguiner of execution for introduce the values of filters.

Modify your web template with the dropdown box you want.
You can drag the drop down web element into the web report. Assign a appropriate infoprovider for this drop down and select the characteristics you want for drop down.
If you want to filter the results with the selection of dropdown value, then choose appropriate command for this dropdown to filter the result.

Save data in editable ALV

Hi all,
I am using an editable ALV in webdynpro using which I would like to save some data to a table. In the list of standard functions, I see only options like 'Insert row', 'Delete row' etc. There is no option to Save the edited data.
Even if I declare a user defined function, how do I specify the action it would trigger? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Nithya,
Once you edit an ALV, the data is automatically updated to the context node, you map in the DATA field of controller usage (of the component usage).
If you want to trigger event for change in ALV, see the below tutorial.

If you want to trigger a event for user defined function,
Create a event handler method in the view. Specify event,
   ON_FUNCTION of the interface controller of ALV for the event handler method.
The importing parameter r_param of the method contains unique ID of the
   function for which the UI element is assigned.

I have an alv output with editable fields. This output has the contents some from an itab and some are hardcoded in the program. Now I have edited the contents in the alv o/p.

In the PBO of the Screen in Which you are designed your container for output - SET the PF-STATUS.
Example : SET PF-STATUS '1500'.
In this PF Status you activate the SAVE Button.
I think for SAVE Button the sy-ucomm = 'SPOS'.
STEP 2:
In the PAI of the Screen in Which you are designed your container for output.
Write the below code.
IF SY-UCOMM = 'SPOS'.
    CALL METHOD G_GRID->CHECK_CHANGED_DATA
      IMPORTING
        E_VALID = L_VALID.
    IF L_VALID EQ 'X'.
      CALL METHOD G_GRID->GET_SELECTED_ROWS
        IMPORTING
          ET_ROW_NO = LT_ROW_NO[].
    ENDIF.
At this Point your output table will have the modified values.
Now you can proceed it to update the database table.

Function module to save the data from ALV list to MS Excel file

I am displaying an ALV list.
I am assigning a pushbutton in the GUI status to save the list as a MS Excel file.
Can you please let me know the function module to achieve this task.
I tried 'SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT' FM but it is giving some type confict error.

ALV has this option built in, you may also find FM like [ALV_XXL_CALL|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?cat=sdn_all&query=alv_xxl_call&adv=false&sortby=cm_rnd_rankvalue].
Can you elaborate a little more on your need, why adding an option that already exits?
