Save  page of html

hello !
i want write a program that like browser have "Saveas" and can save page of html from internet.
what do it?
please ! i need to it.
thanks....

I'm not sure I understand the question but you may want to look at the J2SE class java.net.URLConnection. This class will allow you to read a URL and process it any way you see fit (save it to disk).

  • How can I configure the save page mode (to save DEFAULT WITH OR WITHOUT images and other dependencies in a folder)?

I like it that I can save webpages with or without dependencies in a separated folder. And its implementation in Firefox (e.g. it remembers how I saved something before, and that way becomes the default) can also be good sometimes. But usually it is not.
Usually I want to save pages as HTML-only. Sometimes, but only sometimes I have to save a page as a whole (I don't know the name of the feature). But after I save something with dependencies, I often forget that, and don't care about this option. Firefox, however, doesn't forget it, and saves thousands of unimportant images, until I notice it and switch it off again.
    This is not good.
I tried Google Chrome, which simply don't remember how I saves something before, and always select the complete page option for default. It is exactly the opposite of the perfect solution (in my opinion). The best would be if the browser would save everything as HTML only, if I don't change it. Or it would be even better if I could configure it manually (turn this remembering feature on/off).
This is not a beginner's problem, so it would be good if only a config option solved this. I imagine that already exists a config option for this, but I could not find it. I found only the "browser.download.save_converter_index" option, which depends on how I used it last time.
Is there a config option for this? Or should I report this in the Firefox brainstorm page?
    Thank you for your time
    D. J. S.

That choice is remembered in the Integer pref <b>browser.download.save_converter_index</b>
    0: Web Page, complete (default)
    1: Web Page, HTML only
    2: Text files
If you want to reset that choice to HTML only on every start of Firefox then you can use this line in the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/user.js_file user.js]
    <pre><nowiki>user_pref("browser.download.save_converter_index", 1);
    </nowiki></pre>

  • Save as "web page, complete" .html file disappears when overwriting file with same name

On Mac and PC using various versions of FireFox (including 29.0.1 on Win 7) the following occurs:
"Save Page As" a page with several iFrames in the content. I use "Web page, complete" and name the file.
Close FireFox. The .html file and accompanying folder are saved correctly. Then I open the file in FireFox and make some changes to fields in a form. Then "Save Page As" again and use the same name. It prompts to overwrite the existing file and I click Yes.
Three out of four times the file is no longer there. The folder remains but the .html file is gone. Not in the trash or hidden, just gone.
I know this sounds crazy but I have tested it on about 20 computers (both mac and various windows versions), all with different FF versions and different antivirus. The above scenario happens: always on 1 computer, occasionally (random) on 3, and hasn't been observed yet on the others.
Has anyone encountered this before? Are there any antivirus or malware products that could cause this? Any settings in FF that could? Any thing about this page or frames that could cause it?

I found the solution. Yes, the first time you replace a file it disappears altogether. Just save it again, and it will reappear with the updated date and time code in the directory you chose to save it in. I only wish this were the problem in Firefox v. 30, but that is worse now.

  • I saved web page as html file, but can't open saved file as web page

I did a FILE, SAVE PAGE AS, then chose 'WEB PAGE COMPLETE' - and a directory is created on my hard drive - with the directory name, for example - "c:\....\Ask a Question _ Mozilla Support.htm". (for this web page).
When I try to open the saved web page from Firefox, using FILE, OPEN, I see a new window that looks like a file manager window, I then select that saved .html file and click OPEN, and a new window opens that looks like file manager - displaying with all the files in that directory - "Ask a Question _ Mozilla Support.htm". That is, it does not open and dislpay the web page as I expect it should (that I saved earlier).
However, if I go to the file manager, I can see that directory is saved, and has the Windows Explorer icon associated with the directory "ask a question ....html", and also has a file type of HTML listed. If I double click that directory in file manager, Windows Explorer will open that directory and dis[play it as a web page, as I expected.
I would like to know why Firefox does not open the directory name as a web page from the FILE, OPEN command, but instead shows me the directory contents(all the files in that directory)?
BTW, if I try FILE, OPEN, using Windows Explorer the same thing happens - it opens a new window listing all the files in that directory.
Is this the way the FILE, OPEN is supposed to work?
It seems confusing, because if I am in any other program, for example WinWord, and do a FILE, OPEN command on a Word file, it opens the file as a Word Document - it does not just show the file in a "file manager window.
But when I click FILE, OPEN on an HTML file(directory using Firefox, it does not open that html directory as a web page?

I am in the Windows Explorer 'Details' view, and I see the folder with 'Type' of FILE FOLDER. In that folder are all the .js and .css and .png files - as cor-el said.
''But now I also see'' that there is also an htm file - ''with the exact same name ''as the folder, but it has a 'Type' of 'HTML Document'. When I have Firefox do a File, Open on the HTML Document - it does open the web page that I saved and does display it as a web page.
I did not realize that Firefox saves both:
    1) a Directory '''(Type 'File Folder') '''''', and,
    2) an html file''' (Type 'HTML Document')
... '''and that they are the exact same names! '''
I was clicking on the wrong one! Instead of clicking in the .html file, I was incorrectly clicking on the folder!
(The archive add on looks interesting, but shouldn't I be able to open the saved web page, from the browser, using File, Open File) ?

  • New Safari 2.0.3 displays some Router Firmware pages as HTML Source text

      Hello Safari users and gurus.
I installed the new 10.4.4 Combo Updater yesterday, preceded and followed by permissions repairs and other maintenance, including cleaning Safari Caches. Safari 2.0.3 works.
My problem: 10.4.4's new Safari 2.0.3 displays HTML source text after I click "Save" from within my Linksys (latest firmware) router's web based administration pages that worked correctly with the previous version of Safari.
When I check or change my router settings, the initial router settings pages appear as they did with the previous version of Safari. However, with 10.4.4's new Safari 2.0.3, as soon as I click "Save" to attempt to save a changed router setting, the confirming info from the router is displayed as HTML source code instead of the expected HTML page display.
If I wait for the router lights to indicate activity has ceased and then reload the router's opening admin address, the page opens again normally, and I can navigate to other pages and see that the changes have been saved. However, any click on any "Save" changes button in the router's pages delivers another page of HTML source text.
I will watch for future router firmware updates to see whether the issue is resolved from the Linksys side.
Does anyone have any suggestions for improvement now? All assistance will be appreciated.
    EZ Jim

Thanks glefand. As you suggested, I tried my old iBook G3 that is still running 10.3.9, and it works fine for me.
My G5 DP also worked normally up through OS X 10.4.3. My problem only began after I installed the 10.4.4 update. I think the Safari update included with the 10.4.4 update is what is causing the issue with the firmware pages on my Linksys router.
Hopefully a future router firmware update (or Safari update?) will restore proper operation. If not, I will continue to reload from the router's Start page. The need to work around this glitch is annoying, but the actual function of my router setup works without problem, even though the pages do not display properly.
Thanks again for your helpful suggestion,
    Jim

  • Capturing the output of a JSP page as HTML

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me if this is possible. I have a JSP page that contains
information about an order that was just entered (Essentially a
confirmation page). What I want to do is somehow intercept the output
stream inside the JSP page and write it to a file, as plain html, which
    I
will later attach to an email and send to someone.
    Thanks,
    Jordi

You won't be able to "intercept" the output since it is the JSP page itself that is doing the writing.
Will the file that you write the output to reside on the client side or the server side? It sounds like you want to receive the HTML output not as something to view on the browser, but a file you can save and send and use later. If this is the case, one technique that might work is to take advantage of the servlet name mapping feature that is available for registered JSP pages.
Assuming your JSP pages are registered, you would map your JSP page like:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>confirmation</servlet-name>
    <jsp-file>confirmation.jsp</jsp-file>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>confirmation</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/confirmation.out</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
What happens is that a request for the URL /NASApp/myapp/confirmation.out gets mapped to the confirmation.jsp JSP page. If you set your MIME type correctly in the JSP page, the HTML output from the JSP page is not properly recognized by the browser causing it to prompt you to save the file.
I have used this technique to generated CSV files from a JSP page. The browser is completely fooled.

  • OS error -43 cannot save pages

Another user asked about OS error -43 and was apparently able to resolve it by changing permissions.
I am having this same trouble on one of my GoLive-created sites, but I have not used a second computer. Specifically, I'm unable to create new pages or save a template HTML page.  I did have a computer meltdown some time ago that evidently messed up permissions, which I thought I had corrected by going to the file info.  For a while it was working fine, but now when I try to look at file info it says "no XMP found."

Where do server-stored mailboxes appear in Mail? Do they appear as subfolders of the account’s Inbox maybe?
If server-stored mailboxes appear as subfolders of the account’s Inbox in Mail, this account requires INBOX to be typed in Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > IMAP Path Prefix for Mail to manage and display its mailboxes properly. After having done that, Mail should be able to save messages on the server, but maybe in a mailbox different from where you want them to be. To fix that, select the desired folder in Mail and choose the appropriate option from Mailbox > Use This Mailbox For.

  • How to save diagramm in HTML format or PDF it

how to save diagramm in HTML format or PDF it

You have two alternatives. First of all, there are many utilities, some of them free that can put a "printer" on your printer list that really writes a PDF file. The one I use is free, called CutePDF. Once you have one of these installed, saving to PDF is as simple as print the diagram, choose the printer associated with your utility, then name the file.
I'm not sure if it is in your version of Designer, but all of the latest versions of Designer have a "publish diagram" utility. Just drop down the Utilities menu from the RON or the Design Editor. The bottom selection should be "Publish Diagrams...", which will open a dialog window. Choose the diagram(s) you want to publish, select Publish to File, enter a file name, and select a graphics format from PNG, GIF, JPEG, BMP or TIFF. You can easily add the file to an HTML page inside an &lt;IMG&gt; tag.

  • TWO CRITICAL BUGS: 1) File, "Save Page As" and 2) right-click the picture and select "Save Image As", both do not work at all in Firefox 27, 28, and 29!

Note: capitals are used only to highlight important words.
PLEASE, TAKE THESE COMMENTS ON TWO CRITICAL BUGS VERY SERIOUSLY BECAUSE THE BUGS DESCRIBED BELOW ARE SO CRITICAL THAT I CANNOT USE THE LATEST VERSION OF FIREFOX UNLESS THEY DO NOT APPEAR IN THE LATEST VERSION AND THEREFORE I AM FORCED TO REVERT BACK TO FIREFOX 26.
I have Windows 7 64-bit and Firefox 26. I could not install Firefox 27, 28, and 29 due to the persistent presence of the two critical bugs described below. I have 8 GB of RAM and an Intel quad-core processor and a lot of hard disk space available.
I installed Firefox 27 and then Firefox 28 a while back and these two bugs described below were still present and now I have just checked again with Firefox 29 by installing it and yet again, these two bugs described below are present!! UNBELIEVABLE THAT THESE TWO CRITICAL BUGS ARE STILL PRESENT IN FIREFOX 29 WHEN I CLEARLY INFORMED YOU ABOUT THEM IN THE HELP, SUBMIT LINK OF FIREFOX!!
I am forced to revert to Firefox 26!
First, I use Windows 7 64-bit and I always use Firefox with at least 120 tabs opened. BUT I have 8 GB of RAM, an Intel core i7 quad-core processor and more than 1 TB of hard disk space. Consequently, I do not understand why I would have these two critical bugs.
With Firefox 26, I also have at least 120 tabs opened when I start Firefox and I do not have the two critical bugs described below, therefore I do not believe that the number of tabs is the reason of the two critical bugs that are present in Firefox 27, 28, and 29.
    ---FIRST CRITICAL BUG:
When I open ANY web page and do File, "Save Page As", the window that is supposed to open to locate the folder where I want to save this web page does NOT open at all, even if I wait a long time to see if it opens.
Same problem happened with Firefox 27, 28, and now 29!! When I reverted back to Firefox 26, this problem did NOT happen anymore!
    ---SECOND CRITICAL BUG:
When I use Google Images, for instance entering model in the search field of Google Images and then pressing enter.
Then I select any picture, open to a new tab this selected picture, then open a new tab by selecting the option View for this picture. Then right-click the picture and select "Save Image As".
Again, the window that is supposed to open to locate the folder where I want to save this picture does NOT open at all, even if I wait a long time to see if it opens.
Same problem happened with Firefox 27, 28, and now 29!! When I reverted back to Firefox 26, this problem did NOT happen anymore!
---THESE TWO CRITICAL BUGS DO NOT APPEAR WHEN I USE INTERNET EXPLORER 11.
I have no idea if you will be able to reproduce these two critical BUGS but I can assure you that they are not present when I use Firefox 26 and they are present when I use Firefox 27, 28, and 29. More, be aware that I have at least 100 tabs opened but I also have this same number of tabs opened in Firefox 26 and yet I do not experience these two critical bugs when I have Firefox 26!
Once again, these two bugs touch at two vital, critical very basic functions of Firefox and therefore I will NOT be able to use any version above 26 if these two bugs are still present, as they are present in Firefox 27, 28, and now 29!!!
Please, make it a priority to solve these two critical bugs. Thanks.
I did read a post related to the same issues “Firefox stops responding when trying to "save page" or "save image" | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support” at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/991630?esab=a&as=aaq
I am still reading it again to try to figure out exactly what the person did to make his problems be solved, as the post is not clear at all on what solved the problems!
In any case, all the suggestions proposed in this post do not work and I surely cannot do a system restore when it is obvious that the two bugs do not appear in Internet Explorer.

First, I sent an email to the author of PhotoME to inform him of the serious issues his addon caused with Firefox latest versions.
Now, for those of you who do not have the PhotoME addon and yet experience the same problem that I had and that I described above, I suggest the following strategy.
As PhotoME did cause these problems with Firefox latest versions, I am pretty covinved other addons probably might cause these problems too. Therefore, adopt the following method.
Test one addon at a time to see if this particular addon is behind your Firefox issues like the ones I had.
So, disable one addon only at a time. Then close your Firefox and restart it from scratch and see if you still have your Firefox problems. You must restart the Firefox browser from scratch. If you still have these Firefox problems, re-enable the disabled addon, restart your Firefox (again!) and repeat the same method for every single addon that you have.
Try to be selective by choosing first addons that are more likely to cause your Firefox problems such as not very well-known or not very popular addons (like it was the case for the PhotoME addon).
If this method works or if it does not work, report it on this web page so that others can be helped with your comments.
I hope this method will help you because I was really upset that I had these Firefox problems and I first thought it was the fault of Firefox, only to discover later that this PhotoME addon was the culprit and had caused me such upset.

  • Firefox stops responding when trying to "save page" or "save image"

Windows 7 64 bit and Firefox 28. When trying to 'Save Page' or 'Save Image' the save dialogue window is nearly blank, then info bar shows 'not responding'. I have tried all the tips in the support pages. Resetting Firefox, Starting Firefox in 'Safe Mode'. Upgrading graphics driver to latest version. Turning off 'Hardware Acceleration' in options. Nothing resolves the problem. This issue has only recently started, the last time I tried saving an image it worked fine, certainly prior to Microsoft's most recent 'upgrade Tuesday'.
    Edit:
Checked the save dates of the last images I successfully saved from within Firefox and compared them to my windows update log. The Microsoft March 'Update Tuesday' was installed on March 14th. My last successfully saved Firefox images were saved the following day on March 15th. Thus it is unlikely that the Firefox saving issue is a result of a Windows Update corruption. So the question is what changes have Mozilla made to Firefox between 15th and 24th March 2014 ???

I understand that finding a root cause is ideal, and I would be happy to further investigate this with you.
Since it is still happening in Safe Mode [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-issues-with-plugins-fix-problems please try to troubleshoot the plugins and extensions]
The other route is to troubleshoot the downloads folder and antivirus to make sure the downloading of the image is not having an issue either. [http://mzl.la/LJ0h2w]
In the meantime there is an add on that enables this [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/save-images/ Save Images]
Please post back with your results, there have been other reports, but no issue filed yet.

  • Is there a way to use Edge as Navigation and Have the rest of the page in HTML

    Hi,
I want to create a three-column CSS layout.  I want the left column (navigation) to be in Edge and have the remainder (plus header & footer) in static HTML.  I'm new to Edge and am hoping this is possible.  I know it will take some hard work, but before I get started, I'm wondering if this is possible, or should I just code the entire page in HTML?
    Thanks!
    Jon

    hi jon,
yes - this is totally possible.  here's a site i'm getting ready to take live next week.
    http://174.120.146.114/~spacemac/
left nav bar is all edge - rest of the site standard html except for the animated edge banner on the homepage
create your div placeholders and just drop the edge code in.
    hope this helps!

  • I can't change Download Location, or Save pages/images..."Browse" dialog will not show.

If I go into Options, and click "Browse" to change the Download location, nothing happens. I have used Firefox for many years and have never had this problem. I just did a clean install of Win7 (wiped entire HDD), and the problem started when I installed Firefox this time.
I can also NOT "Save Page..." or "Save Image As..."....basically anything that requires a Browse dialog window does not work, it just stalls and nothing happens.
I read another report of this, and the only solution that was given was to Reset Firefox. I did that, to no effect. I also saw something about migrating profiles, etc....I did not import anything into Firefox when I installed, nor do I have more than one user account in Windows. It's a really odd problem, but unfortunately I can't use Firefox if I can't save things. I've tried browse dialogs in other applications and I have no problems there.
Thanks for any assistance! Just to re-iterate, this is a completely clean install of Firefox and Win7...I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox before posting here.

    I hope this helps-
Go to the option menu and under the General tab, chose "ask me where to save files" and then restart Firefox in safe mode.
If this doesn't work, check for updates.

Impossible to do with Reader. If you own Acrobat and use Create PDF from Webpage. The document will have a creation date. If you then sign the pdf on the date of creation, you have proof of when the document was created and proof that the document wasn’t altered since signed.
