Saving a Time Stamp In Memory and retrieving it

I would like to store the time stamp in Flash memory. The memory is 8 bit. So how would I store it in byte format to the memory and retrieve the memory, then put it back together to get the time stamp back...
thanks

What best you can do is consider some reference time and store the difference i.e. no of seconds. At the time of retrieval also you can do the same.
Kudos are always welcome if you got solution to some extent.
I need my difficulties because they are necessary to enjoy my success.

    Time stamps in reports and status are 7hrs off, is there a regional setting to correct this?
    When I run e-load all reports and any other time stamps are 7 hours off. (If I run a test at 9:20am pacific time the e-load shows 4:20pm). The e-test scripts show the correct time if I run those via e-test.
    Is there a setting for this?
    Thanks!

    Hi hagstal,
    Actually, this is a known issue on Vista.
    You need to edit the follwoing file to specify your timezone;
    \Empirix\EmpAppServer\bin\JbossService.conf
    Please refer to Known Problems section of e-TEST suite Release Notes for more details.

  • How do you date and time stamp pictures and videos using a EOS Rebel T3?

    I am needing to utilize date and time stamping on videos and photos in my work.  The pictures and videos must display time, a date, and reference number.  I have gone through the cd, owner's manuel and software manuel and I am unclear if I can perform this function.

    While this is a relatively common feature on point & shoot cameras -- where the photo is thought of as a snapshot to document a memory in a person's life, among DSLR cameras it's not very common (I don't actually know of a DSLR that does this though I don't doubt that it may exist).  DSLR users are usually expecting a higher quality image -- so now the image is thought of more like art and less like a snapshot and the date/time in the corner distracts from the image.  Also they tend to be more advanced users who would be able to modify the image themselves so they have little need for such a feature.
    The camera does record the date & time... but it's in the EXIF data (information recorded into the image file but not displayed).
    SO... there are programs that will just do this.  You'll need to do a search (I found several but have never tried one so I can't vouch for them).  I think there are Photoshop plug-ins that do this (assuming you have Photoshop). These programs allow you to define the info you want printed (including EXIF data such as date/time) and you get to pick the location, font, size, color, etc. and ultimately the location on the image where you'd like the info displayed.  They then add the info visibly onto the image for you and most support "batch" use (e.g. drop a whole folder of images on it and they'll do them all.)

    Hi Gurus,
      I have a req and need to write a ABAP prog. As soon as i excute ABAP program it should ask me enter a data source name, then my ABAP prog has excute teh code, in ABAP code i have to read a table with this data source as key, sort time stamp from table and should display the data source and time stamp as output.
    As follows:
    Enter Data Source Name:
    Then user enters : 2lis_11_vahdr
    Then out put should be "Data source  :"  10-15-2008.
    The time stamp format in table is 20,050,126,031,520 (YYYYMMDDhhmmss). I have to display as 05-26-2005. Any help would be apprciated.

  • How do I get time stamped Wav files created in L7 to lock to time code?

    Hello everyone,
    I did a search about time stamping audio files and was VERY happy to discover the "broadcast wave" format timestamps audio files! So I'm running tests, but cant seem to get logic to actually place the audio file according to the time stamp!
    Method: I'm currently scoring a film, and have each cue as separate logic files. To sync Logic's timecode and the TC window burn, I set in the "sync" song settings that bar 1 play at the start of the cue (no offset). For example, If I want to start writing a cue at 1:06:27:05, I just tell logic that bar 1 starts at 1:06:27:05 and start writing. Both logics TC & The window burn TC match perfectly. When I bounce, I choose my bars and bounce as a "wave," which creates a file with time code stamped. I verify this by looking at the file in the audio window, which shows a clock icon, as well as the specific smpte time code if you select the file before importing into the audio bin.
    From here, how do I get logic to automatically place the audio files according to their time code? I've tried "import audio" directly into the arrange page as well as dragging the file over from the audio bin and neither work. I've also tried then "cutting" these and "paste at original position" hoping it would read the time code, but instead just pastes it where it was originally imported, not according to the time code.
    So I'm stumped! What am I doing wrong?
    thanks in advance for your help!

    Highlight the regions and then from the audio menu select "move regions to original record positions"

  • 0FI_AR_4-Delta Time Settings based on Numeric Pointer Time Stamps

    Hi All,
    For Numeric Pointersettings for 0FI_AR_4, I checked the table of DELTA settings, the time stamps are different and it says GMT IN BWOM2_SETTINGS.
    So I am confused here whether for FI based on GMT timestamps or numeric pointer BAED on documents entered..
    say user entered a DOCUMENT clearing ON mONDAY AFTERNOON, WE HAVE BATCH UPDATE on TUESDAY MIDNIGHT, WHEREAS the document not picked up on TUESDAY batch and so the document is still not cleared in OUR report whereas cleared in SAP..
    whereas the same document CLEARED in wednesday midnight batch job...so it means there is a delay in picking up the document which is running every MIDNIGHT...
    Does anyone clearly explain how its picking and why? hope it is not based on GMT TIMING...
    Also I check another table, it has set the time limit of 2AM and whereas our TUESDAY batch runs before 2AM..whereas Wednesday batch runs after 2am, i am not sure whether it could be because of the above issue...

    Hi Durgesh,
      I checked this link..That's why raised it whether it really works based on the last part in the link based GLOBAL SETTING OF FI...
    If it considers 2AM and check the same settings in my system too, it could be the reason, why my data doesn't pupulate on TUESDAY ..I AM THINKING... is my assumption right???
    i am still waiting from our HQ team..will see whether that works or not..
    then will let you know...

  • Time stamp for BioBench

    I am acquiring EMG data with BioBench while acquiring gait data from another source simultaneously. To correlate the data, it's important that the date stamps match. I would like to know where the time stamp comes from, and if there is a way to get more precision (milliseconds instead of seconds). Also, can I get more precision when I export, since this chops it off to the nearest minute.
    Thanks!

    The gait data can't be acquired with BioBench since it is from a motion capture package that acquires data in a completely different way with lots of complicated analysis involved. It processes dozens of frames per second from several video cameras to find the markers etc. I want to match the movement with the EMG signal exactly, to see when the movement begins in relation to the EMG signal. Therefore, I need to know exactly at what time each point in the BioBench file takes place in order to find out how much earlier the EMG signal started than the movement. Knowing when the EMG signal started to the nearest second is not nearly good enough resolution to say anything meaningful about the time difference between the onset of the EMG signal and the movement. The
    whole point of acquiring data at up to 1000 Hz is defeated if I only know the absolute time to the nearest second. For anyone who can't acquire all of their data with a DAQCard (motion capture, force plate, etc), the data can't be correlated if the creation time isn't accurate and precise, which really makes BioBench useless for data acquisition or analysis.
    Is there anyway to get the creation time to a better resolution? And does the creation time correspond exactly to the first point in the data? I think this would be a necessary improvement for many users.

  • Process chain time stamp

    hi, I'm just starting to use SAP and was setup to do process chain monitoring. We are getting ready to add some new chains to the loads, and I was looking at the RSPCPROCESSLOG for time stamps on which chains were running longer. the problem is the time stamps are confusing and don't seem to make too much sense. Can anyone help me decipher these two?

  • Saving a recording in  memory and in disk at the same time.

    Hi, I record audio and a I want to save it in memory,then when the user presses a stop button I have to save the audio that is in buffer to a directory file. So far I to the first part that is save in memory. Here is some code I use:
    {color:#0000ff}
    class {color:#000000}recording{color} extends {color:#000000}Thread{color}*{*
    * boolean {color:#339966}suspended{color};*
    * public void* {color:#000000}run{color}*(){*
    * try{*
    * while*{color:#000000}(!{color}{color:#339966}*suspended*{color}{color}{color:#000000})
    {color} File *{color:#339966}file{color}*={color:#0000ff}*new*{color} File*{color:#ff9900}("C:/prueba.wav"{color}*);
    ByteArrayOutputStream {color:#339966}*dataCapturada*{color}={color:#0000ff}*new*{color} ByteArrayOutputStream();
    byte *{color:#339966}bufferTemporal{color}*[]={color:#0000ff}*new* {color}byte[10000];
    {color:#0000ff} int {color}numbytesleidos=*{color:#339966}targetDataLine{color}*.read(*{color:#339966}bufferTemporal,{color}*0,{color:#339966}*bufferTemporal.length*{color});
    datacapturada.write*{color:#339966}(bufferTemporal{color}*,0,{color:#339966}*numbytesleidos*{color});
    }{color:#0000ff}*catch*{color}(Exception e){e.printStackTrace()}
    So far,this works perfectly, but i put this line of code to save in directory file after the line:datacapturada.write....
    AudioSyste.write(*{color:#0000ff}new{color}* AudioInputStream({color:#339966}*targetDataLine),*{color}AudioFileFormat.Type.*{color:#339966}WAVE{color}*,*{color:#339966}file{color}*);
    It saves file in the directory file,but doesnt save in memory. Why could this be??

    Ok sorry, as you had seem in other forums, meaning JMF,I decided to record from microphone in WAVE format. This is done, but I also have to show the volume in a progress bar. So I take and example and it works, but this method that calculate volume needs an array of bytes, that is the array that I use for record in memory.So record in memory and show a progress bar volume works, but I also have to save in directory file. My idea is to save in memory and save in file directory at the same time, or save in memory and then when I press a stop button transfer the data saved in memory to the directory file.Here is all the code,assume that all declarations have been done:
    public void capturarAudio() {
           try {
                formatoAudio = obtenerFormatoAudio();
                DataLine.Info lineaDataInfo = new DataLine.Info(TargetDataLine.class,formatoAudio);
                linea = (TargetDataLine) AudioSystem.getLine(lineaDataInfo);
                linea.open(formatoAudio);
                linea.start();
                Thread hiloGrabacion=new Thread(new hiloGrabacion());
                hiloGrabacion.start();
           } catch (LineUnavailableException ex) {
                Logger.getLogger(InformDetail.class.getName()).log(Level.SEVERE, null, ex);
    class hiloGrabacion extends Thread{
            byte bufferTemporal[] = new byte[10000];
            File archivo=new File("C:/Documents and Settings/java/multimedia/audio.wav");
            @Override
            public void run(){
                dataCapturada     = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
                detenerGrabacion  = false;
                try{
                    while(!detenerGrabacion){
                        int numBytesLeidos=linea.read(bufferTemporal,0 , bufferTemporal.length);
                        if(numBytesLeidos>0){
                            dataCapturada.write(bufferTemporal, 0, numBytesLeidos);
                            mostrarVolumen(bufferTemporal,0,numBytesLeidos);
                            lblCronometro.setText(linea.getMicrosecondPosition()/1000000+"");
                    AudioSystem.write(new AudioInputStream(linea), AudioFileFormat.Type.WAVE, archivo);
                    dataCapturada.close();
                }catch(Exception e){

  • FINDING, TIME STAMPING, AND SAVING SELECTED PORTIONS OF WAV FILE

    Hello Everyone,
    LV 6.1
    What I'm trying to do is build an app that
    captures, timestamps and saves peaks only in a *.wav file from the sound card.
    Specifically, dog barking.  My dream would be that I have a constant input
    from a mike into the sound card which LV will real time analyze. When a threshold is triggered
    (a dog bark) the app will save the bark only with a time stamp.  My case against
    my neighbors would be better exemplified is I were able to present them with a
    time-of-day graph with tic marks at each bark and a cd they could listen to of
    the barks only.
    Explorations so far:
      The sound VI's don't have time stamp outputs
      I have searched the knowledge base and found a few apps but came to a dead end with my knowledge
      I have experimented with various waveform analysis vi's but can't find the combo that gives me what I'm looking for
    I can handle the post processing of graphs / spreadsheets but the waveform analysis for capturing the bark is eluding me. If someone could just get me started I could run with it but so far I ain't smart enough.
    Thank You...........

    Hi rscully,
    I think a great starting place is the "Sound Input to File.vi" example found in the Example Finder. Since the output is waveform data, you should be able to extract the timing information from the waveform data. Try using the "Get Waveform Components" function. If that doesn't work for you, you may also want to just grab the time stamp from the system clock with the "Get Date/Time String" function.
    To record the bark, you can perform signal processing to match the bark frequency. The first thing that comes to mind, is to record a bark, analyze the power spectrum to find the peak power at a specific frequency range. Then in your program, you can find the power spectrum for that specific frequency range, and if the peak within that range exceeds a threshold, record the bark and time-stamp. This method should be simple if you have the NI Spectral Measurements Toolkit. See this tutorial.
    Once you have verified that a bark has occurred, you may want to record the previous bark sound data and the post bark sound data. This will ensure that the entire bark is captured in a sound file. I have edited the "Sound Input to File.vi" example to demonstrate this. Please see the attached picture. I hope this helps!

  • How to retrieve media start time stamp on video clips

    Premiere Pro CS4 loses the time stamps on all my video clips in the project.  Is there a way to retrieve that data.
    This usually happens after a crash or freeze up and one has to revert to an auto-saved ppj file.

    Thanks for replying.
    Timestamp only means time information for media start.
    The time information was there for media start on all the clips as they
    were captured but when I had to restart the project and the clips were
    imported into a different project they disappeared.
    What is Scenalyzer?

  • How to provide date and time stamp to the extracted file.

    I 'm downloading data from DB to Flat file using GUI_DOWLOAD. whenever it is executed it is creating with a file name.
    if i rerun the program the file is overwriting with the same name.
    now based on the requirement how many times i executed, that many times file should be individually created and should be added with date and time stamp.
    like
    if when i executed  at the very first time it should saved with filename, date and time.
    say "Address.txt 04/05/2007 07:55:10"
    When i executed it for second time it doesn't overwrite the file.
    it should create a new file.
    like "Address.txt 04/05/2007 07:59:20".
    Please guide me the way if possible code.
