Saving query view in a internal table

Hello Experts,
Is there anyway that we can trasfer all the query results to a table.
What I am exactly looking is
I want to transfer a query view to an internal table so that our destop team using java will then read the results from tables and convert to desirable format ( email, pdf etc)
Please help me out to sort this issue as this became one of the major issues to be fixed.
All inputs are much appreciated.

Diff Between Saved Query Views and Work Books

Can some one explain me the diff betwen Saved Query views and Workbooks interms of their use, and operation..

We use workbooks for excel formating,like font changes, lay out changes etc...
Workbooks into which queries are inserted are no different in appearance than other Excel workbooks.
They can be saved as files, copied, sent and (using Excel functions) edited however you like and even supplemented with other data.
Views are primarily used for BW Web Reports, it is similar to the concept of workbooks is for BEx.A local view can be accessed only within a workbook in which it was saved, where as a global view can be accessed globally in the system, it is not attached to a workbook. Only Global view can be used in BW Web Templates.

As far as i know in 4,7 there is no new debugger. But it is the new debugger which brings the functionality so i fear you go no chance.
And for the rest who is still struggling on what OP meant: He meant the tab "globals" on the variables tab of the new debugger.

Hi,
if you have an internal table named xyz.
Then create a structure in se11 for this internal table.
Then create a node with this structure with cardinality 0:n
Navigate into method WDDOMODIFYVIEW of view MAIN_VIEW. Insert coding for:
- Create a new context node for the table
Hint: Use method Create_nodeinfo_from_struct of class Cl_wd_dynamic_tool.
- Remove old dynamic table IE element from view , if one exists. If it exists, it is a child of group GROUP_1 and has the name TESTTAB.
- Create a new UI element for a table named TESTTAB
- Create an internal table, fill it with the data from the database table and bind it to the newly created dynamic context node.
METHOD wddomodifyview .

Unable to open a query view in web analyzer

Hi All
In web analyzer i have saved a Query view, Using save as tab.
when i tried to open that Query view through open tab in web analyzer it is throughing some exceptional error.
Is this the right way to access the saved query view, can anyone help me with your suggestion?

Reg:Submit statement Return Internal Table

Hi Team,
I have a query to return the internal table from the called program via SUBMIT statement to the calling statement ??
Example : Thing is that consider reports A and B , Report B is getting called from report A where in B we have one internal table full of data that i need to pull to report A and there i need to process it.
How can i achieve this?

Filtering internal table using select-option values

Hi,
I got an internal table with select-option values. for eg. it_perno with the values I BT 000160 000170.
Now i got another second internal table which is have the person number. Now i need to filter this second internal table based on the values from the select option table. my question is
i can collect all the values from 160 to 170 in a separate table by looping over the select option table. and then based on the values filter the second internal table person number.
But what would be the case if the select option contains both intervals and multiple options. For eg.
I BT 000160 000170.
I EQ 000185.
So can you suggest any good solution, that based on this select option table i need to filter the second internal table Person number.

Can you not use the select-options in the Select query while populating the internal table.
SELECT pernr FROM pa0000 INTO it_tab WHERE pernr IN s_pernr.
If you cannot do this and you do not want to delete the unwanted entries, then you can use the WHERE clause in the LOOP statement to process the specific entries required:
LOOP AT it_tab INTO wa_tab WHERE pernr IN s_pernr.

Deleting query views in a portal

Hello BI fans,
I want to add a delete button in a web template to delete a saved query view (based on a query which shows data). Unfortunately there is no default command or instruction for data provider according to the commands LOAD and SAVE_AS.
Can I use SCRIPT_FUNCTION instead of INSTRUCTION to get the necessary functionality? There is a method DELETE_VIEW (CL_RSZ_WWW_DB_INTERFACE). Has anybody an idea to use this method or another idea?
To delete the query views by BEx Analyzer is not a good way for us since the normal user should not use the BEx Analyzer but the portal.

before excuting that transction in the command line enter '/h'
after tht execute the transaction,.. in the debugg mode u can view all the internal tables, their values, etc..

I have to upload details from PDF document saved into C drive into internal table.
While refering to the programme FP_PDF_TEST_03,it actually upload the details into excel sheet.
in this programme "PERFORM download_file USING l_data p_xml." is actually uploading the details(Stored in l_data) into XLS format through path p_xml.
What i need is to upload records into internal table .But the fromat of the l_data is in hexadecimal(Ex : 3C3F786D6C2076657273696F).
I cannot read these values and upload into internal table
Do you know any FM which convert Hexa into xml format or any thing else so that i can read the details into my internal table.
Or you have any other suggestions

Inner join inside a internal table loop

Hello to all,
I have this internal table in which i have selected some records for particular coulms. For the rest of the colums i need to join 3 tables for the data. I had in mind, of looping the internal table and then having a inner join query and modifying the internal table(all inside the loop) Just wanted to know, whether its a qood practice performance wise ? IF not, what are the alternatives ..

say You have internal table ITAB.Already some columns are updated in internal table.say A,B,C,D.
To fill rest of the columns(E,F,G) you need inter join.
write the inner join of the table for all entries of itab where A eq itab-A.
LOOP ITAB.
    READ TABLE ITAB1 WITH KEY X = ITAB-X.
   IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
     move ITAB record to I_FINAL.
     move itab1 records to i_final.
    append i_final.
   clear i_final.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
Don't forget to reward if useful...

Query View name not saved in "Analysis Grid Properties" under Data Provider

Hi BW World;)
We are on BI 7.0
I have created a BI workbook which contains a query view.
However when we go into design mode and then "analysis grid properties" for this query view then "change data provider" it does not show the query view name but the query name. (we have saved the workbook)
Is this the normal scenario?
Surely should show the "query view name " and not the "query name" as confuses what data provider is being used?
Is this a bug?

Hi,
You have created a workbook on top of a Query View which is again depends on a Query.Now the base for Query View is a Query.So the underlying Data Provider for a workbook is a Query.
Hence when you go to Properties of grid->Change Data Provider,it shows the Query and the InfoCube,but not the Query View.
So this is not a bug and this how its been designed.
If you click for the Information of that workbook,it will show the Query and Info Provider,but not the query View.
Though it looks like wierd,it is not a bug.

Also can anybody tell me i am trying to create a DataBaseView for
Z0MNH, Z3MANBOXIDHDR, Z3MANBOXIDITM, Z3MANBOXIDSERIAL and LTAP tables.
Note:
1. Z3MANBOXIDITM table may contain multiple material[MATNR] for same box-id[EXIDV] (with another line item).
2. Z3MANBOXIDSERIAL table may contain multiple record for one box id[EXIDV]+item_no[ITEM_NO].
But what are the TABLE/JOIN Conditions i need to write while creating DB View for above 5 tables.
Can anybody solve above 2 issues!

Hi Deep,
While creation of DB view just make sure abt the key relation between the tables. Based on that u can join the tables...First fetch the data from header table then by using for all entries u can fetch the line items data.
