SBO and BI on demand integration

Hi All
maybe you know about it but still I had to share with you.
This time, must admit it works for me.
Upgrade to PL08, apply hotfix.
A new menu entry appears in Administration module - BI OnDemand Integration,
a configuration form is under that entry.
Find a saved query that needs no input parameters and add to list of reports.
Log in to the BI on demand website (bi.ondemand.com). I've registered there some time ago and frankly I don know if registration for SBO users differs.
In SBO highlight the report you'v added and click button Upload Now
You have message Dataset "<query name>" uploaded successfully.
Go to the BI website and on dataset tab you will find your report.
Great, enjoy
A question, if any, is that must I log in firstly to BI web - because SBO tries to open that site but not providing login and password.
Best regards
Michal

Magic happens when there is no browser open, SBO still does the report upload.
Dont know how, cookies or something?

BI.ondemand.com allows for exploring published datasets.   There is no current means of exploring data from a web service or Open Data Connector source.  The advanced edition does allow for the publishing of Universes to the cloud however.
A dataset can also be published directly using salesforce.com data.
If you are publishing Crystal Reporrts to bi.ondemand.com, it is possible to schedule local reports on the desktop to grab the latest data and publish the "newest" report at a recurring schedule you decide on.

Hi, Yes it is paid and has its own technical pre-requisites to deploy and use the same. I believe you may have to speak to your Oracle sales representative to get the pricing related info

  • About the cooperation of SBO and SAP/R3

    Hello
    Iam Yussuke watanabe.
Could you teach if there is a case where the cooperation of SAP Business One and SAP/R3 was
    done in the past?
Moreover, what cooperation can you do in SBO and SAP/R3?Moreover, what can cooperate?
What you can do is not understood though it is proposing now.

    Hi Yuusuke Watanabe,
As far as I know, ITK and iDocs could be used for integration between SBO and other SAP products, you may find more information from service.sap.com our partner portal (SAP Channel Partner Portal->SAP Business One->Solution Overview->Integratio Capabilities). I suggest you contact SAP Business One Local Product Expert in your region as well.
    Hope this explains your question.

  • Problem with C4 and C5 On-Demand

We've been using the YouView box for about three weeks, but have had some disappointing results.  On the positive side, picture quality is very good through HDMI and the pause live TV and recording all work fine.
The main problem is with On-demand, mainly C4/C5 and related channels.  Generally BBC i-player works OK though it has occasionally failed.  Navigation through the EPG to select a past programme is excellent on YouView, but we have never succeeded in seeing any C4 or C5 programme.  Bizarrely, the Ads always play OK, but as soon as the main programme starts, the picture breaks up with severe pixcilation, crackling sound which sometimes disappears altogether and then the picture freezes and the whole thing hangs up.  Useless.
Looks like a streaming problem with inadequate throughput.  We have BT Infinity, and I did a speed test using a laptop at the end of the cable feeding the YouView box.  With i-player speedtest got 10 and 20 Mb/s and other speedtest sites gave a minimum of 5 Mb/s even at the busiest internet time in the early evening.  The YouView box is not directly connected to the BT Hub, but comes through a 100 Mb/s Netgear Ethernet switch.  When we've had problems, nothing else has been active on the network.  I don't believe the problem is anything to do with the local setup.  It seems to be something to do with the BT server or where ever the C4/C5 streaming is coming from.
Our TV is a Sony Bravia which does Internet TV.  The BBC i-player is faultless even on HD setting except occasionally at the busiest time but always runs at SD.  Five on Demand also runs perfectly.
We signed up for BT YouView mainly because we wanted STV and C4 on demand which the Sony service doesn't provide.  Sadly the BT service has failed to provide exactly the thing we wanted.
I noted another forum thread commented that the box hangs up.  I've had that too, and of course if you are watching live TV through it then the picture disappears because the box is taking the digital signal and processing it so you can pause live TV.  The only way to recover, it seems, if this happens is to switch the box off with the back panel switch and reboot.
Am I alone with the C4/C5 problem or is there a solution?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Just following-up on this posting from a week or two ago and another a few days later about the problems with catch-up TV.  We were disappointed with the lack of service, but as we can get most of the catch-up we want on the Sony Bravia TV, hadn't pursued it with BT perhaps hoping things would improve.
Got a phone call last week from BT asking if we'd been able to set up the YouView Box OK, which we had.  Mentioned the unsatisfactory service.  She immediately put me through to the BT technical call centre in India where I spoke to guy called Rajiv or something like that.  Asked a few questions and then asked me to switch off the YouView Box (back panel switch) and do a hard-reset on the Homehub Router.  Once this had been done, and the YouView box switched back on.  The service ran fine and has done so since.  I don't know if Rajiv did anything in the network or whether this is just some problem (he called it a "glitch") in the router/YouView box.  Funny that that the speedtest and streaming to the Sony TV works OK.
He phoned back a couple of days later to see if we'd had any further problems.  Overall good service.  It would be interesting to know from a technical point of view what the problem was and how it was solved.  It shouldn't be necessary to reset boxes in this way.

  • SharePoint 2013 and SQL Reporting Services Integration Mode

I'm setting up a production environment with SQL Server 2012 SP1 (Clustered) and SharePoint 2013.
I successfully setup the integration using PowerShell (Install-SPRSService & Install-SPRSServiceProxy). I can see the SQL Reporting Service on the CA Services and it's started, I've also created the Services Application without any issues (And linked it
to my web application). However the Report Server Integration feature is missing from my site collection and so are the content types. I even tried creating a new site collection and no dice.
    Appreciating any help.
    Best,
    MI

    Hi MI,
As per my understanding, I think this issue is caused by you haven’t install the Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products or is not installed correctly. If we install the Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products after the installation of
the SharePoint Server, then the Report Server integration feature and the Power View integration feature will can be activated for root site collections. For other site collections, we can manually activate the features. To fix the issue you occurred, we should
install or reinstall the Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products.
For more information about Install Reporting Services 2012 SharePoint Mode for SharePoint 2013, please see the following article:

  • Comparisons between WLI and SeeBeyond e*Gate Integrator?

Does anyone have any point of view about similarities and differences between
WLI and SeeBeyond e*Gate Integrator? I have some familiarity with e*Gate, and
I'm just starting to learn about WLI (although I'm pretty familiar with J2EE
    and WebLogic Server).
It appears to me that WLI assumes that data collaborations between systems will
go from binary to XML, then perhaps to transformed XML, and then to binary.
I'm perfectly happy with using XML, but I wonder if it would be practical in
some cases to skip the XML representation and translate directly from one
binary representation to another. From what little I know of e*Gate, the most
straightforward transformations are just binary to binary, although XML
    transformations are available.

  • PS module and SD Module are integrated?

    Dear All,
How is the PS module and SD Module are integrated?
I am thinking  the linjk is only through the WBS element .please guide me if am wrong.
But I am not able to get the data flow across these two modules.
Is there any other setting to be done in the IMG ?
My client scenario needs a close interaction(flow) of data from PS to SD
I am trying to establish this llink through DIP profile and RRB .As i am not familiar
either with DIP Profile or with RRB.In these circumstances i seek your help.
Rewards are assured for timely & valuable help.
    Thanking you,
    Best Regards,
    R.Srinivasan

    Hi Ramanujam,
Please find below the complete stuff reg PS integration with SD Module:
SD INTGRATON WITH PS (Project Systems)
PS SD integration happens during Milestone billing...
    Below is whole process-
    Billing Plan for Milestone Billing
Milestone billing means distributing the total amount to be billed over multiple billing
    dates in the billing plan.
As each milestone is successfully reached, the customer is billed either a percentage of
the entire project cost or simply a pre-defined amount.
During sales order processing, the system determines from the item category whether a
billing plan is required and, if so, which type of plan
The type of billing plan that is determined at this point is set up in Customizing and
cannot be changed in the sales document.
Billing plans for periodic billing and milestone billing plans for project-related milestone
billing have different overview screens so that you can enter data relevant to your
    processing.
For example, for milestone billing, you must be able to enter data to identify the
    individual milestones.
    IMG configuration requires:-
    1. Maintain billing plan types for milestone billing in OVBO.
    2. Define date description in SM30 - V_TVTB.
    3. Maintain Date Category for Billing Plan Type IN OVBJ.
    4. Allocate date category in SM30 - V_TFPLA_TY.
    5. Maintain date proposal for Billing Plan Type in OVBM.
    6. Assign Billing Plan Type to Sales Documents Type in OVBP.
    7. Assign Billing Plan Type to Item Categories in OVBR.
    8. Define rules for determining the date in OVBS.
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and
construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the
completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined
in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones
are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan.
Each milestone-related billing date is blocked for processing until the Project System
confirms that the milestone is completed.
Delivery-relevant order items for which a milestone billing plan applies are billed on the
basis of the requested delivery quantity and not on the total of the confirmed quantities.
The connection between the project and the sales document item is made in the individual
schedule lines of the item. Each schedule item can be assigned to a network in a project.
To display the project-related data for a schedule line, proceed as follows:
In one of the overview screens of the sales document, select
    1. Item -> Schedule lines.
    2. Mark the schedule line and select Procurement details.
The following figure shows an example of milestone billing where only the Contract have
    been billed :
    Order Item Turbine 100,000
    Billing Plan
Billing date Description % Value Billing Block Milestone Billing Status
    01-10-94 Contract 10 10,000 - x x
    01-03-95 Assembly 30 30,000 x x
    01-04-95 Maintenance 30 30,000 x x
    01-05-95 Acceptance 30 30,000 x x
    01-06-95 Final invoice .. .. x
    Network/Activities
    Milestone Estimate Actual
    Assembly 01-03-95 01-03-95
    Maintenance 01-04-95
    Acceptance 01-05-95
For each billing date in a milestone billing plan, you can specify whether the billing
    date is:
    1. fixed
    2. Always updated with the actual date of the milestone
    3. Updated with the actual date of the milestone, if the date is earlier than the
planned billing date for the date
Following is the SD & PS integration scenarios where milestone billing & Periodic billing plays the important role for these integration:
Milestone billing is typically used for billing projects, such as plant engineering and
construction projects. Such projects often include a series of milestones that mark the
completion of different stages of the work. In the SAP R/3 System, milestones are defined
in a network along with planned and actual dates for the completion of work. The milestones
are also assigned to the billing dates in the billing plan. The connection between the project and the sales document item is made in the individual
schedule lines of the item. Each schedule item can be assigned to a network in a project.
    PS-SD Integration as below:
    A) Billing plan, at each WBS element, network and Activity level.
B)DIP profile which is assigend to item category. DIP for resource related quotation works only with ECP ( easy cost planning).
C)sales pricing - generally, there r 2 types of sales pricing in PS . lumpsum contract and unit rate contract.
D)BOS - bill of Services. which has to be activated. It is industry specific solution. If BOS is activated you also have integration for vendor RFQ and Analysis.
Further pls provide ME ur mail id , will mail some zip files regarding integration of SD module with all other module including PS.
Project System(PS) works for any project e.g construction, operation or any large projects where project management tools are required. it integrates all modules may be like MM for vendor process or for RFQ etc or say may be SD for Resource related quotation with the help of DIP profile or Milestone process etc. IT is largely used in construction projects. IT helps in controlling the whole of project from one single screen and it works with 3 elements WBS element ( work break down structure), Network and Activity.
Please go throgh this Please check this links perhaps they may help.

My second home in Long Island does not have FIOS available so I am forced to take the inferior Cablevision product.
Last week I noticed that Cablevision's Free On Demand includes Fox and FX.

  • SBO and Citrix. Hardware requeriments

    Hi,
We are looking for the hardware requeriments for a SBO and Citrix installation. It would be for moreless 30-40 concurrent users.
We have downloaded the SBO hardware requeriments sizing guide, but we are looking for real experience feedback.
Anybody can give us some feedback on this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ibai Peña
PS: Nobody has used Citrix? This is not what Citrix says...

I've checkes it for you, here it comes:
    SBO & MSSQL Server
Intel Xeon 3.2 Ghz, 1,5 GB RAM
    Clients
Intel Xeon 3.2 Ghz, 2 GB RAM
However, keep in mind that these are virtual servers, and I don't know on what 'real' servers those virtual servers are hosted, and not know the amount of memory I get allocated per user...
    Kind regards,
    Rowdy
Concerning Virtual Servers, it's some software that runs on a 'real' server, wich can host multiple operating systems. So you have one piece of hardware, but in your network you can have multiple servers/clients etc. Need a nice test server? Add one to your Virtual Server and your ready, no need to buy new hardware...
