I have a procedure to be scheduled everynight in the DB. How I can do it ?.. I need to check the output of this execution also ?

Assuming its a database stored procedure that you want to execute every night and since you are on 10g already, use DBMS_SCHEDULER.

I need to check the output of this execution also ?Do you mean to check whether the procedure was executed successfully or there is some output expected from this procedure, which needs to be spooled?

Customize Workflow: remove or change schedule activity

Hi,
does anyone here have experience with customizing a workflow in OM? We use the standard workflows of Oracle (e.g. Order Flow - Generic).
Within these workflows is a scheduling activity which re-calculates and overwrites the Schedule Ship Date in our Order Lines. I want to get rid of that. I want to have this field only manually entered, but not changed by the workflow / scheduling activity.
Anyone experience with such a thing? Can somebody share his ideas and experiences and give recommendations? Is this a good idea or not? Maybe some links to some guidelines on how to do this? I have already the white paper "Using Workflow in Oracle Order Management", but some information from experience people would be highly appreciated.

thanks a lot for your response.
Yes my idea was to create a copy of the standard workflow and modify the copy. But I have not yet done such a thing with OM flows, so I was not sure if this is a recommended way at all. And also I need to find out if I can really prevent that the Schedule Ship Date gets updated automatically by some workflow.
But your response made me more confident that this is not a really bad practice ;)

After activating a Resource Plan, scheduler activity is very high

Hi folks,
This is our first attempt at using the Resource Manager built into the 10.2.0.4 database.
I've activated a Resource Plan that limits a Resource Group's CPU to 40%.
Since activating the plan, I've noticed a very high amount of activity from my Grid Server application for the Scheduler. Is this normal behavior when using Resource Plans? When the Resource Plan is NOT active, the Grid Server Performance page shows almost no scheduler activity.
I'm wondering if anyone else sees this behavior when using Resource Plans?

In grid control you get to see wait events for class Scheduler. If you drill down you will see what actually causes this. The light green color only pops up when the Resource Manager is intervening with the application.

Error in APO GATP: Exception while scheduling activit & Internal error 0010

Hello APO experts,
I am working for a APO project where GATP is used. At the time of sales order creation user is getting ,
The following errors / warnings are being returned by APO
W VV 800 APO: Exception when scheduling an activity
E VV 800 APO: Internal error: Item /000010
Has anybody come across such issues. Waiting for your replies.

Hi,
This is a very generic error message but points to the scheduling. Goto your SCM system and check the settings for your scheduling. Do you use CPS - configurable process scheduling ? Then I assume an error in the scheduling schema.
Please check your settings and maybe userexits and provide us some further details.

KSPP -Scheduled Activity are not updated for last 2 periods

Hi All,
When we run KSPP by using LTP, noticed that for one cost center and activity type the plan scheduled Acivities are not updated for last 2 period's.(shows Zero)
Do we miss any thing.

It can be due to the sales demand you have uploaded and the Lead time in the material master
because of the that, the demand gets shifted before (say, Dec demand gets shifted for manufacturing in October) and the activity qty in the last month comes zero
So, upload 14 months demand where 13 and 14th month is the same as 12th month... Most of the companies do this way

Cost from a Pay App Schedule of Value to P6 Schedule Activity

Is there anyone that has attempted to push the cost and scheduled value from a payment application from several contracts to ONE activity ID? The results I get are illogical and hit-and-miss.
Ready to go back to manual input which is I don't believe was the intention when the Contract Management/P6 Cost connection was created.

For those interested:
For each contract and unique payment application, there is a corresponding activity in P6 that serves as a budget bucket in the schedule under the expense tab with a one-to-one relationship. Each new Pay App will update the schedule 'Total Actual Expense' each time a new payment is collected and imported. Therefore, as the contract is spent, the actual expense in the P6 schedule reflects the same amount after an import form Contract Management to P6.
With this, the 'Stored Period Performance' function can be used along with a new monthly Cost-to-complete to store monthly activity progress. Then using the tracking function, PV, EV, Actual and planned cost can be viewed on a Gannt chart.
All said and done, there can be a responsibility given to an account person on the CM side and a forecasting/analysis responsibility on the P6 side.

CRM - Activity scheduling duplicated

Hello!
I've got a problem with the Schedule Activity transaction.
At first I maintained Visit plans in the CRMM_TOUR transaction. It's working good.
After that I starting Schedule Activity transaction (CRMM_ACT_SCHED), and after I choose the corresponding visit plan, I try to scheduling the activities. At first in the calendar the activities is seeing. But after I saving the activities are duplicating in the calendar, and also there will be come into being every activity twice.
So please try to solve my problem!

The ideea behind this flag is if the system should check the available time in the calendar for the given business partner & the user which is running the application.
Be aware that this flag is working in combination with the "Maintain Calendar" flag from the partner determination procedure.

Schedule Line Delivery Date Calculation with Transportation Scheduling

Hi All,
We are currently running into a problem where our Sales Order Schedule Line delivery dates are being pushed out too far into the future - because of the Calendar being used to determine the transit time.
We have 'Delivery Scheduling' and 'Transportation Scheduling' activated for our Sales Document type
We have Routes that are configured with a 'Transit Time' and a 'Factory Calendar'
Order Scenario:
'Factory Calendar' assigned to our 'Route' is setup with only one 'Workday' in a given week e.g. Wednesday
Our 'Route' has a Transit Time of 2 days
We create a Sales Order on Monday for a Material that is available in our Plant
The 'Goods Issue' date is being determined correctly for the next Workday - being Wednesday
The 'Delivery Date' is extending out over 15 days (2 Wednesdays into the future) - since it is working on 'Calendar Days' and not 'Actual Days'
Does anyone know of a way (config or other) to only influence the 'Goods Issue' date with the 'Factory Calendar' assigned to the Route, and have the 'Delivery Date' calculated using the Transit Time on the Route and 'Actual Days' rather than Calendar days?

Thanks for your reply. I have already maintained the Calendars I'm using for this business process in <SCAL> - same as <OY05>.
The problem I'm having though is that by assigning a Calendar directly to my route (which I doing to influence the goods issue date - using a 1 Working Day Calendar) it is also taking precedence in determining the Transit time - which in this case I don't want, as I want my Transit time to be determined using a 5 Working Day Calendar.
I don't think this problem has a config option as a work around...I think the only possibility in this case is a development to achieve the results we need.

Manual scheduling phases in Process order

Hello dears,
a question came out to my business during Process order (PP-PI module) testing.
When a order is created, the system uses master recipe data to schedule each phase, and to assign them a start and finish time. These values are displaied in the process order for each phase.
The question is: is it possible to change them manually, in case I need to reschedule only a specific phase and not the whole order? Because currently I see that dates fields are not editable in COR2.

Dear ,
You ca not able to manually chanes the date and time unless they are Dispatched after capacity evalution or leveling at the Resource level.
Generally , if your resource is having finite scheduling active and you have CRP planning is in place , then you need to goto CM07/CM05 to check the Overload/Availablit of the resouce in a certain date n time so that you can re-scheule them manually from CM21/CM22/CM23 .
To meet this requirement , you have to adop Capacity Requirement Planning set up .

Task scheduler in windows 2008 R2 cluster.

We have clustered server and there's two nodes - Active(A1)/Active(A2).
Ordinary client can connect A1, but A1 is failed then connect A2 by windows 2008 R2 cluster.
We have a task scheduler exe module created by .net framework in each node.
When A1 server is operated, we wanna just A1 job scheduler active.
And A2 server is operated, just only A2 job scheduler acitve.
Can We contoller this situation in exe module or Failover Cluster Manager?

Schedule an ICM Script

Is it possible to schedule Activation of an ICM Script which does NOT have a direct DN/Call Type associated to it?
I know we can do it for a Script versions which has a DN/CT associated to it, but how do I do it for a script which is referenced by a 'Go to Script' only.

Thanks Joseph, but the issue is that we have 100s of production scripts and we do not that how many of those point to or reference to this 1 script (hence this post). And now we want a new version of this 1 script to go live (get activated) at midnight, and I did not want to do it manually at 12:00.
Any ideas Please?

DB13 Calender Scheduling backup failed

Hi Guru's/Experts,
Our DBAcockpit backup planning is on every Wednesday... Yesterday it was failed and the status it is showing is 'Scheduling Failed' I tried to Re-Scheduled it is giving the message "Action Successfully Completed". When I tried to check the jobs in sm37 named DBA:BACKUP it is not present in any case neither scheduled,active,released nor cancelled.
After running the Rescheduled i check the SM21 status in that it is giving the warning Failed to maintain status entry for job DBA:BACKUP_DEV______@131106/400
I have checked the SAP Note 1242278 - DB6: Status 'Scheduling failed' in planning calendar but it is not compatible with my release version i have SAP_BASIS 702 with support package SAPKB70210 (level 10)
Can we have updated version of this note so that i can implement this on my system to resolve this issue
If you have any further quick suggestions it will be appreciated...

i have scheduled the SOA Composite in the similar way, and get it working
1) Developed the SOAComposite1
2) configured the ESS Scheduler in the similar way shown in the link.
3) Developed a bpel process <bpelprocess> scheduled ; drag & drop the scheduler activity and deployed it to schedule.
4) Run the scheduler from <Scheduling Service> under em console
5) in <SOAComposite1> ; i am trying to get the requestId of the scheduler which ran in step 4 and store the same in the custom database tables for tracking / logging purpose; with current SOAComposite ecid, requestId (which is required and the purpose of this thread), compositename, etc., using ESS API.

Complex schedule requirement - every 2 hours at even hours

Hi all,
I have a schedule requirement, wherein I need a runbook to run every 2 hours starting at 6am till 12am Sun-Friday (i.e. 6am,8am,10am...)
I looked at the monitor date/time task, however the challenge with that is that the runbook could end up running at 7am,9am,11am... etc. depending on when it started.
Is there a way to accomplish the above without having to create 10 runbooks, 1 per start time, as that would eat up significantly into the policy throttle limit.

In Global Settings define a Schedule mit even hours. After "Monitor Date/Time" use "Check Schedule" Activity with the Schedule defined in Global Settings. In the link condition after "Check Schedule" filter only if "Conforms
to Schedule equals true".

SAP Error Msg No. KP236, Cost Ctr 112233, act type AABB: Activity Schd. Act

Hi Experts,
When I do KSPI - Plan price calculation. I am getting the error message no KP236. Cost center 112233, activity type AAABBB: Activity<scheduled Activity. When I go to KP27 and see the detials for the cost center and for the activity type, I can see that there is some value present in the column Act. Scheduled which is greater than planned activity. How to make this Act. Sched column to Zero. I tried transaction KPSI, but this only copies the values from Act. Sched to planned activity. But I want to make the Activity Scheduled column to be Zero. Can anyone give me some pointers as in where to look to solve the issue?

"Planned activity < scheduled activity:
The calculation occurs with the scheduled activity instead of the planned activity or capacity. In the list of results, the
system issues error message KP236. The results are not updated, unless the "still post" indicator is set in the
settings for the price determination. See the long text of message KP 236 for further information (the same applies for
capacity instead of scheduled activity)."
