Scheduled delivery date according to customer calendar

hi all,
i maintained a customer calendar with only friday as work day, and assigned it to customer in uploading point in customer master data.
when creating sales order, the system checks the customer calendar with the date proposal from sales order type, and display message "No goods accepted on 2008.11.19. The next possible date is: 2008.11.21". that means customer calendar works, but the system didn't change the date proposal to 1121, and further, it didn't change the schedule line delivery date accordingly. it give and just give a message out.
i need the system calculate delivery date or schedule line date under the restriction from customer calendar, not just give some message.
i once make it out that the system automatically changed the schedule line into two line, say, the first line is 0 pc on 1119, and the second line is 10 pc on 1121. but afterwards, i can no longer reproduce the result.
can anybody give me some help on it? thanks a lot.
daniel

Daniel,
I'm not sure but you may want to try it out. Deselect the Propose Delivery Date option in the Sales Document type and then try. Maybe the system in proposing the date because of this configuration and is not changing as per customer calendar

  • In GATP would like to push schedule delivery date+1 day

    Hi Experts:-
We have below requirement  in GATP:-
Can we maintain a condition record for pick /pack time  = 1 day against Shipping Point in particular Location.? In other word we would like to push schedule delivery date+1 day.
In APO we can see control data :- Plan (LEAD), load (LOAD), pick/pack (PICK), transport (TRAN), unload (UNLD)
In APO We have maintained  value = 24:00 for location XXXX ( as per below steps)
    1.     In the SAP Easy Access screen choose Master Data ® Master Data for Transportation and Shipment Scheduling ® Create Scheduling Step.
    2.     Select a condition type.
    3.     Enter concrete values for the key combination.
    4.     Enter a duration (external display: hhhhhhh:mm).
While checking order, When the process branches into APO ATP, can see time 24:00 This seems to indicate that Pick/Pack record has now been found, but the scheduled delivery date is not being pushed out by one extra day.
    Looking at the condition log in APO shows the following;;
Lead Plan:304 Access for Access sequence LEAD missing(Usage U)
Pick Pick : 208 Condition record has been found
Load Load: 304 Access for Access sequence LOAD missing(Usage U)
TRAN Transport: 009 Condition record is missing
UNLD Unload :  002 Access not made ( Initialized field)
    Can you suggest.

    Hi DB,

  • Scheduled Delivery Date

    Hi Guys
I have an issue with the scheduled delivery date being determined incorrectly.
If an order is created with the required delivery date of saturday or sunday, the system is confirming the schedule lines for that day/date. The factory calendar has been setup with working days (Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur and Fri), plant and shipping point have been assigned the same factory calendar. Based on the calendar the system should not confirm it for the weekends.
Also if i create the order for the current week with the delivery date of weekend(saturday/sunday) then the system pushes it out to to monday but if i create it for the next weekend or following month weekend then the system confirms it.
Can someone suggest the possible solution??
    Thanks

    Dear Comes,
Kindly check whether the factory calender maintained for your plant and shipping point is maintained for your Sales organisation and i think you can also assign it for storage location. So make sure all the factory calender are same.
    regards,
    Sudhir

  • WIP or CoS if scheduled delivery date not fulfilled

    Hello,
    SD-order.
The checkbox "Fixed date and quantity" within the Schedule lines table has following effect on costs:
    - if the checkbox is marked and there is no confirmed quantity to the delivery date, all costs are settled from WIP to the CO-PA - I have heard that this has background in law, because if the delivery date is not fulfilled the customer is not obliged to accept the delivery.
Please, confirm if this is true.
What would happen if the mentioned checkbox is marked, the quantity is confirmed, but the SCHEDULE DELIVERY DATE IS PAST AND NOT RE-SCHEDULED?
I would expect similar behaviour like in the first case, but I have tested it and the costs are still in WIP.
    Thanks

  • System does not propose the delivery date based on factory calendar

    Hi,
I am creating a sales order for a delivery date for this sat which is (2/22/09)
I have maintained 2 separate calendars for
    1) shipping point
    2) for the route
The route has a transit time of 1 day and the calendar has sat and sunday as non working.
the Shipping point has a pick/pack time of 1 day and the calendar has sat and sunday as non working
The material is available in the warehouse
Now when i create this sales order i enter the delivery date as 2/22/09, the system does not propose me the delivery date of monday (i.e 2/23/09) It accepts the 2/22/09 delivery date.
In the schedule line i do see the date as 2/22/09 only.
The delivery was created with the following dates
    Picking = 2/17/09
    Transportation Planning = 02/18/2009
    Loading =02/18/2009
    Planned GI= 02/18/2009
    Delivery Date = 02/22/2009
How can the system give me the delivery date of a sunday when the calendar doesnt allow sunday as working day.
Also the route time is 1 day in transit so i am not sure why the system is proposing a 3 day transit time?
Can any one explain the behaviour of SAP for the delivery date logic

    Dspsac,
Delivery date can be any date.  For instance, if your customer insisted on a Sunday delivery, you would accommodate him, regardless of any calendar.
From the delivery date, the system counts backwards USING THE FACTORY CALENDAR ASSIGNED TO THE ROUTE by the number of days in the route.  You have to consult the FC assigned to your Route to determine if the GI date has been properly calculated.
From the GI date, the system counts backward Pick/pack time, using the shipping point calendar, to arrive at Material availability date.
Calculations are explained in SAP online help
    [Transportation and Delivery Scheduling|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/dd/5607e7545a11d1a7020000e829fd11/frameset.htm]

  • Sales Order- scheduling delivery date for Procurment type F

    Hi Expert,
In material Master , in MRP 2 View mailtained data as  1. Procurment type- F, Plant Storage Loc- 1140, In-House Production- 21 days, GR - Processing time-1 days. But while creating sales order for this material it shows only one day difference in sheduling delivery date.
                         Thanks in advance.
    Manoj

    Hello
Procurement type F is for external production indicator
If you want to see a change in schedule accordingly, then maintain Planned Deliv. Time.
As per SAP, Planned Delivery Time in Days is Number of calendar days needed to obtain the material or service if it is procured externally. If you have different vendors for a material, you must specify an average value. The same applies if you order the material from a fixed vendor that has varying delivery times.
Or in sales doc type, maintain Lead time in days, this specify the number of days after the current date that the proposal for the requested delivery date in the sales document should be.
FYI - GR Processing Time, Goods Receipt Processing Time in Days is number of workdays required after receiving the material for inspection and placement into storage.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Determining service level offer for delivery date based on customer/materi

    Hi,
we operate R/3 4.7 enterprise and are looking at a new requirement to present a service level offer at time of sales order input va01, drvin by customer number or group and the material number... For example customer 123456 orders two materials, ABC, ZXC... ABC has a proposed delivery date of today +2 while ZXC has +5 days, this would populate the "first date" ETDAT and then if not available schedule lines would be based on ATP scope of check. To further explain a second customer 654321 orders the same two materials, ABC and ZXC but this customer has a service level of today +4 days for ABC and +10 days for ZXC... I do not recollect in my experience such functionality in standard sap, perhaps with CRM? OR ABAP user exit?
Appreciate your thoughts and direction, perhaps siome one has developed a similar scenario or knows with greater experience that the solution is not in standard R3 4.7...
Thanks and look forward to your thoughts...
    Craig

    Hi,
When u creates sales order, system reserve material in c u r case
    ABC = Today + 2 days
    xyz = today + 5 days
Now another order come for same material then system automatically gives u next date if material is not availabe
    ABC = Today + 4 days
    XYZ = Today + 10 days
But if u have stock then this will not give u further dates,it will confirm as early as possible.

  • Schedule Delivery Date in Sale Order

    Dear All,
I have an order on 03.11.2009 (today) and its last delivery date is 15.11.2009. It means that I have to deliver the complete order on or before 15.11.2009.
So where can I put this date in Sales Order?
    Regards,
    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,
Your Last Delivery Date can be entered in the "Requested Delivery Date" field in the sales order.
By doing so, the system will give us a confirmation that whether the delivery can be made possible on the Requested Delivery Date or NOT (The status can be seen by going in to the Schedule Line Level of your line item).
The system also gives us the NEXT POSSIBLE DELIVERY DATE with the confirmed  Quantity as a Second Line item in the Schedule line level.
The System considers mainly the Material Available Date to come to a conclusion on the Delivery Date of the goods. Also, there are other activities (Loading Time, Transporation Planning Time etc) for which some time will take and that also need to be considered (The same can be seen by going in to the Schedule Line Level of your line item and then click the Shipping button).
Your Scenario: In your case, the delivery can happen ON OR BEFORE the Last Delivery Date.
So for that follow the steps:
Step 1: Put the Last Deliv Date in to the "Requested Deliv Date" field in Sales Order.
Step 2: After enetering the other necessary details in the sales order then Save it. Now go the Schedule Line level of your line item and look for the Confirmation of the Delivery Quantity on the Requested Delivery Date.
If Yes: Then its your wish that you can Prepond the Delivery Date by giving the required Delivery date during your delivery document creation.
    If No:
Then you have look for the Next Possible date. OR Make sure that you can manage all your other activities like Loading, Transporation Planning etc. in 10 - 12 days time and make your material Availabilty today and do the delivery.

  • Schedule Delivery Date in Sales Order

    Hi All,
Does anyone have any idea, how can I determine the date on which a line item material can be delivered, if I know the Material Availability date. After a material is available, it takes some more time for Loading, Pick-Pack, Transportation... which may take a couple of days.
Please share if anyone have any fair knowledge to determine the Delivery date for the Material. I need to do a forward scheduling with that information.
    Thanks
    Ipsita

    Hi Ipsita,
Delivery date arrive based on Material available date, Transportation date, GI date, Loading date and if you have material available for inventory you can create delivery and pack and hold in WH.

  • Delivery schedules delivery date in future-GR

    Hi all,
For the Me38 Maintain delivery schedules, we will maintain delivery date and schedule details.
We can make GR for the current and past date through MIGO. But when we try for future delivery date, it will show no selectable items in MIGO with reference to the scheduling agreement. I guess this is std behavior. So they have the option for changing the schedule to the current date and then post MIGO again. The user feels it to be time consuming. So want to have a message just a warning while Migo and then proceed GR.
    Is it possible to meet?
    Rgds

it is the nature of a delivery schedule to have accurate timing.
However for all that do not like that .........you can achieve what you want with an user exit.
For details see OSS  Note 741385 - Goods receipts up to current date for scheduling agreements

  • Best Buy moved delivery date by 20 days only 18 hours before originally scheduled delivery

I purchased a Samsung gas range/convection oven on December 3, 2014.  Delivery was scheduled for December 30, 2014.  On December 29th, at 12:05 p.m. CST, a mere 18 hours before scheduled delivery, Best Buy emailed me to alert me that the delivery had been unilaterally rescheduled until January 19th.
Unfortunately, do to the late nature of the notice of rescheduling, I had already sold/gotten rid of my old oven.  In response to this issue, I contacted Best Buy customer service and, after speaking with 6 different people of the course of 2.5 hours, was provided the following options: 1) Cancel your order; 2) Wait until the order is filled; or 3) Contact your local stores to check for availability.
When asked if Best Buy would consider providing a partial discount on the oven purchase to cover the potential costs associated with renting an interim stove, the customer service representative told me that she was unable to help me in that regard and to ask my local store.
Has anyone had experience getting a similar situation effectively resolved?  Has anyone ever spoken to a customer service representative with Best Buy that was actually able to resolve an issue?

    Dear rtjamison,
When receiving a scheduled delivery date like this, I can understand your foresight around creating the space for your new oven by getting rid of the old one beforehand, and I respect that. It pains me to hear that this responsible act will now affect you negatively due to the untimely rescheduling of your order. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this has already caused you.
On occasion, orders can be rescheduled because of sudden inventory constraints. Other times, scheduling issues can occur if a store is the one fulfilling the delivery and are absent an available delivery driver due to sickness; although, you would typically be provided with an explanation around this. Without being able to look up your order, I am not sure what the reason was in your case specifically. The options you were provided by the phone agent are all viable choices; however, I would like to work with my support team to see if there are any other options available to us at this time.
As I was unable to pull up your purchase history using your email address you provided here on the forums, I will be reaching out to you via private message to obtain your purchase information so I may investigate further. To check your private messages, click on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner while you are logged into the forums.

  • Explain How delivery date is calculated using backward and forward schedul

How can anyone please explain how delivery date is calculated using forward and backward scheduling
I want to have it broken down into the following steps
for eg for delivery date calculation following dates are used
    Material Availabilty Date
    Material Staging Date
    Pick/pack time
    Transportation PLanning date
    Loading date
    Goods issue date
    Transit Date
    Delivery Date
Can some one please give me an example and explain wht these dates are
for eg customer needs delivery date on  11/20/2008
how would the system cacluate whether it can meet the delivery date using backward scheduling
and if it doesnt meet how does the system do the forward scheduling
also i am not clear with the following dates
    material avaialibilty date
    material staging date
    transportation date
can some one please explain me all this in detail
    Thanks

    Hi,
Basically this is the CRSD(Customer requested ship date logic)logic in which system calculates the ship date depends upon the material availability. If material is available system calculates ship date on the basis of master data maintained in customisation.Master data is maintained in the  following link.
If material is not available then system takes into consideration vendor delivery date & then calculate customer ship date.
Please go through the link in SPRO
LE-Shipping -Basic shipping functions-Scheduling -Delivery scheduling & Transportation scheduling-Maintain duration.
In customisation following data is maintained
    Material Availabilty Date
    Material Staging Date
    Pick/pack time
    Transportation PLanning date
    Loading date
    Goods issue date
    Transit Date
    Delivery Date
Hope you got the idea of CRSD calculation
    Regards,
    Prashant.

  • Delivery Date needs to be changed on Schedule lines

    Hi All-
I am using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE, to update the delivery date on the schedule lines...If I have 2 lines of schedule, needs to be updated the second one ETENR '0002'...
Bapi returns message that successfully processed, when I go back and look at Sales order, I don't se any changes on schedule line..
I am pssing into BAPI, sales doc and schedule line with the delivery date and the flag 'U'..and also I am using BAPI commit...
But, let me know if I am missing something and also let me know is it possible to change schedule delivery date or not?
    Thanks,
    Sony

    Hi
    Please follow this process.
Only specify fields that should be changed
Select these fields by entering an X in the checkboxes
Enter a U in the UPDATEFLAG field
Always specify key fields when changing the data, including in the checkboxes
The configuration is an exception here. If this needs to be changed, you need to complete it again fully.
Maintain quantities and dates in the schedule line data.
    1. Minimum entry:
You must enter the order number in the SALESDOCUMENT structure.
You must always enter key fields for changes.
You must always specify the update indicator in the ORDER_HEADER_INX.
    2. Commit control:
The BAPI does not run a database Commit, which means that the application must trigger the Commit so that the changes are read to the database. To do this, use the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT BAPI.
