Please help me
ThanksHi,
the RMS is "Root Management Server". When you install first management server it becomes RMS. The RMS is relevant in SCOM 2007x management group. You can identify which server is RMS in administration console under management server view. Look for instance
with "yes" value in "Is RMS" column.
If you have SCOM 2012x version management group create sugested registry entrys on all management servers (MS) which executes command channel.
This will surely solve your
problem.

Maximum number of processor sockets in Windows Server 2012 Datacenter and Standard
I have found no documentation on the technical number of supported processor sockets supported by Windows Server 2012 for the Standard and Datacenter editions.
Some donation websites like Techsoup claim that Datacenter supports 64 physical processors and Standard 8, but I can find no authoritative confirmation of this and those look like extrapolation from Windows Server 2008 R2.
So what are the maximum supported # of processor sockets, assuming you have licenses for all of them, for Datacenter and Standard? Do they differ by edition?
In addition, is it true that the total # of supported logical processors in a single system is 640 w/o Hyper-V? It was originally reported to be that, but since Hyper-V's number doubled from 160 in the Beta to 320 in the RC and RTM, did this double too?You might find some of the information you are looking for here -
http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/C/A/2CA38362-37ED-4112-86A8-FDF14D5D4C9B/WS%202012%20Feature%20Comparison_Hyper-V.pdf. I know there is one change that is not reflected there. Recently the maximum number of virtual machines supported
in a cluster was raised to 8,000 instead of the 4,000 reflected in this document.
The maximum number of sockets for Standard would be two because that is the maximum number that the license supports. Standard has never supported 8. Prior to 2012, it supported 4, and then the licensing changed with 2012 so that Standard would
be sold per processor (socket) with a maximum of two. Technically, the binaries are the same for Standard and Datacenter, so you can most likely get it to run with more somehow, but it is not a supported configuration.
The maximum number of sockets for Datacenter would be 64 - that has not changed from 2008. I make this statement based on the fact that Datacenter supports a maximum of 64 virtual CPUs when run as a virtual machine. Virtual machines don't have
the distinction of socket versus hyper-thread versus core. They see what is presented to them as a processor. But, I doubt very much that you will find any off-the-shelf 64 socket systems; most vendors are relying on the core densities instead
of socket density in order to deliver the horsepower. The above referenced document still shows 320 as the maximum number of logical processors, with or without Hyper-V.

Limitations of SCOM 2012 Singel server environment
Hi All,
We are monitoring Hyper-v(25) and Lync server in SCOM 2012, Lync servers(12) are deployed in different domain and monitoring via GW. Rest of the components like Management server, DB, DW and SSRS are hosted in a single server.
Currently we are monitoring around 38 agents in our environment, I just want to know what is the limitation of agent count?
As per MS recommedation, we can monitor maximum 3000 agents per Management server. But for the below configuration , how many agents we can monitor?
Server Hardware Configuration is below..
Intel Xenon(R) CPU
24 GB RAM & 20 GB Paging file
Note - Currently Server is consuming 80% of physical memory.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Karthick MAs you have MS, OpsDB, OpsDWH, SSRS - all in one Server, your memory consumption is higher, for monitoring 38 agents you can go with
0-500 agents configuration which can obtained by sizing helper tool for SCOM

How to find maximum number of users we can assign for Hyperion Planning.
HI,
How to find maximum number of users we can assign for Hyperion Planning.i.e., how to find license limit in hyperion planning 11.1.2.1.
In Essbase propreties, the system is showing maximum planning users could be 65535.
what would be the number for concurrent scenario?
Thanks
Giri
Edited by: Giriprasad on Jun 18, 2012 2:18 AMThe number of users would be based on your license agreement with Oracle, the system is not aware of your license agreement so it is up to you to stick to it.

ORA-20001: Maximum number of email messages per workspace exceeded
Greetings. We are running APEX 4.1.1. I have an application where we have to send out email messages to a list of emails. Currently there are 2469 email addresses. Originally we put the email addresses in the BCC but we received an error that we had exceeded the size limit of the BCC. So we modified our procedure to send one email at a time, in a loop.
Now we are receiving the following error message:
"ORA-20001: You have exceeded the maximum number of email messages per workspace"
Has anyone else run into this issue? What is maximum number or email messages per workspace? Is it a limit per day, per session?
We have not added emails to this table since last year, so the maximum number of email messages allowed may have changed recently?
I did find this Forum post that addressed the issue but no one responded:
How many mails i can send at a time per day using APEX mail system?
Thanks,
JohnHi jfosteroracle,
You are getting the error may be the following reason,
Check the following,
Login as ADMIN and Goto -->Manage Instance-->Instance Settings--> Mail-->Maximum Emails per workspace
Actually this number denotes the Number of mails can be sent per 24 hour for the workspace,It may exceeded.
It may be the reason.
Thank you.

Hi,
I am getting an issue during a SCOM 2012 R2 installation while creating the SCOM DataWarehouse database. Setup seems to timeout during creating the datawarehouse database. I can see all database files created in windows explorer on the SQL server before
setup rolls the SCOM install back.
Has anyone seen this issue before or know how to help resolve it?
Appreciate your help, below is the SCOM installation log:
Thanks

marc nalderHi,
Based on the log, I recommend you use the following way to test SQL connectivity.
You can use a UDL file to test various connectivity scenarios, create a simple text file, rename the extension from TXT to UDL, fill out the necessary information on the connection tab then test the connection, and troubleshoot as necessary
if it fails to connect.
For more information, please review the link below:

HI
Since the SCOM was Upgrade to R2
Almost at every Day, we receive in the Event log application the Event 720 from the correlation service Source MSExchangeMonitoring Correlation
This arrives always around 7:20AM, someday is at 7:19, other at 7:21. It is always approximately at the same hour, but we never have any problem during weekend
The description of the Event
Exceeded maximum time (15 minutes) to wait for completion of all CorrelateBatchTask threads.
After that the correlation stop to work. At the Same time if we tried to open the SCOM Console on that server we was unable to open it. Also we was not able to open the SCOM PowerShell
And also we cannot from that server to get which server is the RMS if we run get-SCOMRMSEmulator . (This the RMS Server)
When this arrive, the only thing we found, it to reboot the server or restart de SCOM service, after the Reboot the Correlation begin to work
We got also many Event 714 Critical and after this Event 711 Warning
ThankHave a look at: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/e75e84d9-0c9e-4d83-b3da-45a143757f85/exchange-2010-monitoring-with-scom-2012-correlation-service-issue
One user reported an issue with the exchange correlation engine after upgrade and said that:
I had issues with the corellation engine after upgrading scom 2012 to R2.
The MomBidLdr.dll version changed in the SCOM directories, and needs to be updated in the:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\v14\Bin directory.
That seemed to stop the errors for me.
Some troubleshooting steps listed here also:

Maximum number of emails supported in a folder
Hi Guys,
What is the maximum number of emails you can in one folder on iPhone 5S?
We have a user whose Exchange mailbox is around 16.5GB and he has about 93K items overall and around 20K in the sent items. Intermittently he loses emails from his Sent Items going back to March 2010. Then it takes days to re-sync the Sent Items folders. This happens on his iPhone 5S(iPhone6C2/1104.257) and iPad2C1, we use Exchange Activesync.
ThanksThe theoretical limit is the NTFS volume limit. This is provided in the below article.
NTFS Physical Structure
However the practical limit depends on your application and business scenario. You can read about FILESTREAM and FileTable internals and about performance considerations from the below excellent article

Maximum number of filter values in BEx web
Hi
Is it possible to change the maximum number of filter values displayed when running a query?
Example: When the user runs a query and has to put in a material number, he pushes the button which shows him the possible values for input. The number of values displayed per page is 14 and the maximum number of pages is 72. The maximum number of values is 1000. If the user tries to search, he only searches amongst the 1000 possible values. Is it possible to change the number of possible values shown to unlimited?
We use NW04s BI SP09.
Kind regards
ErikHi Experts
I have the same problem , the maximum number of hits si set to 200 , ant the variable contains over 300 values , it is a variable based on a time charactersitic , and the values appear in ascending order , i mean the first 01.1900 , and the last value 03.2012 . i wonder if there is a way to change the order of sort to descending order . I mean the first value 03.2012 and the last one 01.1900 . I attach the image .
Thanks for your help. -

-fx-fill: linear-gradient(from 0% 0% to 100% 0%, rgb(177,177,177) 0%, rgb(255,128,255) 7%, rgb(210,59,54) 12%, rgb(248,100,100) 22%, rgb(252,180,180) 43%, rgb(250,200,200) 44%, rgb(170,170,170) 45%, rgb(248,248,248) 46%, rgb(248,248,248) 59%, rgb(200,200,200) 62%, rgb(180,180,180) 64%, rgb(167,167,167) 65%, rgb(200,200,200) 67%, rgb(248,248,248) 70%, rgb(248,248,248) 90%, rgb(200,200,200) 95%, rgb(166,185,238) 100%);In this case, there are 17 stops to this linear-gradient. If the number of stops is lowered, the exception occurs less often. Based on the exception, it looks like if there is a gradient with more than 12 stops, it is possible to run into this exception.
Thanks

Unable to add a performance widget to a dashboard in SCOM 2012
When trying to select a group or object when attempting to configure a new performance widget within a SCOM 2012 dashboard, I get the following error. Anybody any ideas what is causing this issue in my instance of SCOM 2012?
This is part of a custom built Management Pack and a Distributed Application linking just three computers together.
Any help would be welcomed.
Please provide the following information to the support engineer if you have to contact Microsoft Help and Support :

SCOM 2012 Network Monitoring Does Not Show Servers
We are testing out the network monitoring piece in SCOM 2012 but for some reason it never does show the servers. We have a test switch with a monitored server connected directly to it but after the discovery completes it doesn't show the server as
being connected. The switch in question is a Juniper and if you look at the diagram view for the device it does show all of the ports under "not monitored" and the Processor and Memory under "Healthy." The following event sequence shows up in the
"Network Discovery Progress Events" view:
Full Discovery Started for 1 request(s)
Proceeding to discover all systems in repository
Probing <<IP Address 1>>
Probing <<IP Address 2>>
Probing completed for <<IP Address 2>>
PostProcessing started
Probing completed for <<IP Address 1>>
PostProcessing completed
Switch::<<IP Address 2>> discovered successfully
Switch::<<IP Address 1>> discovered successfully
Discovery Completed / Devices discovered: 2 / Windows computers filtered: 0 / Devices in pending list: 0 / Devices excluded: 0
No devices were found in filtered list after discovery
Start processing connections to computers
Finished processing connections to computers. Number of connections made: 0
I've been trying to find some documentation on any other settings that are required to get network monitoring to work as advertised but so far I have struck out. Help!Sorry Matt - you did say that very clearly in your previous post. I'll try and do better this time ;-)
From here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh212935.aspx
From here:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2011/09/20/what-gets-monitored-with-system-center-operations-manager-2012-network-monitoring.aspx
"An agent computer that is directly connected to a device will have the connecting interface added to this group. For this to work the management group must have the Windows Operating System management pack for the agent’s operating system, the Windows
Client Network Discovery management pack and the Windows Server Network Discovery management pack. The full discovery of the agent’s operating system has to be completed including the discovery of the agent’s network adapters. Then when network discovery
runs for the device it should stitch the port on the device to the network adapter on the computer and add the port to this group."
So possibly:
- check the management packs specified are imported
- check the the agents network adapters have been discovered

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh212935.aspx - it is also possible to do this for non-scom monitored servers.
"Ports that are connected to a computer are not monitored; only ports that connect to other network devices are monitored. You can monitor a port that is connected to a computer that is not agent-managed in the same management group by adding the port to
the Critical Network Adapters Group."
