Scores adjustment for dnsbl tests in local.cf

SpamAssassin is scoring e-mail coming from yahoo and hotmail accounts pretty high.
By virute of being from yahoo, an e-mail will score 3.355, and a e-mail from hotmail will score 1.908.
I run my tag2 level at 3.5. An incoming email need only trip over one of the content specific filters to get flagged as * JUNK MAIL * by SpamAssassin (my kill level is 5.5, so they don't normally get killed).
I'm considering reducing two of the dnsbl scores:
DNSFROM_RFCPOST=1.708
DNSFROM_RFCWHOIS=1.447
I'm considering adding the following to local.cf:
score DNSFROM_RFCPOST 1.208 #Reduce RFC_POST score because of yahoo and hotmail false positives
score DNSFROM_RFCWHOIS 1.047 #Reduce RFC_WHOIS score because of yahoo and hotmail false positives
Is this prudent or would you guys suggest another approach?

This is fine.
Those 2 scores are far too high in recent versions of SpamAssassin.
I have them at:
score DNSFROM_RFCWHOIS 0.5
score DNSFROM_RFCPOST 0.5

  • Creating a simple java client for a session EJB local interface

    Hi all
    Is it possible to create a simple java client for a session ejb local interface with JDeveloper.
    The problem is that it creates a test client for a remote interface only...
    i.e.
    MySessionEJB sessionEJB = context.lookup("MySessionEJB")
    and once i try to adjust it manually for the local interface...
    MySessionEJBLocal sessionEJB = (MySessionEJBLocal) context.lookup("MySessionEJBLocal") (MySessionEJBLocal - is the name of my local interface)
    it generates the exception:
    javax.naming.NotFoundException: SessionEJBLocal not found
    at...........................(RMIClientContext.java:52)
    There is still no problem with accessing the local interface object from the jsf project where i've added <ejb-local-ref> tag into the web.xml file.
    but i need the possibility of testing the simple java client for the local interface to test business methods wich should return objects without indirect properties
    Thanks in advance.
    Alex.

    Pedja thanks for reply.
    I still dont understand what is wrong with my example.
    The first peace of the code i wrote (getting the reference to the remote interface object) works pretty well, and even more it is produced automatically by JDeveloper, so why we cant get a reference to the local interface object the same way?
    Certanly we should use the local interface for getting access to the resource functioning under the same local jvm and i think it doesnt metter wich app server we really use wls or oas or others
    Thanks. Alex.

  • No volume adjustment for video clips

    Hi there!
    I have noticed that the volume adjustment for video clips, set in the options pane of the clip itself, will not be respected by iTunes while playing the video.
    Is there someone else with a similar issue or already with a solution?
    Thanks in advance!

    I've tested all versions since 10.0.1 (for PC) and none work. Versions 10.0.1 and below will allow you to change the volume adjustmant and the equalizer setting for individual videos. No answer from apple!  You can try an older version like I did.

  • Support for unit testing object types

    There's a Feature Request that suggests expanding the unit test tool to object types:
    Title
    Provide object type support for unit tests
    Description
    In the current version (2.1.0.63) I can perform only unit test for packages, function and procedures. But we use a lot of object types in the database and would like to test them. When is a support for object types scheduled?
    Average Rating
    10
    Development Comment
    This is planned for the next release.
    Status
    Scheduled for 3.0
    Although the status suggests inclusion in v3, in my current version 3.2.20.09 there is nothing.
    This is clearly an important issue for those who have voted for it as it scores a perfect 10 on average rating.
    Is there any sign of object types being supported in the 4.0EA1 release? There is a strong desire within my organisation to move to a more object-based approach to PL/SQL coding but until we are able to unit test easily there will be no real progress.

    If you are ready to learn a little bit of Ruby then you can try [PL/SQL unit testing with Ruby|http://blog.rayapps.com/2009/11/27/oracle-plsql-unit-testing-with-ruby/]. ruby-plsql library [supports also PL/SQL object types|http://blog.rayapps.com/2009/11/25/more-oracle-data-types-supported-by-ruby-plsql-gem/] as input and output parameters and return values.

  • How do I create a new Folder for each test report based on Serial number?

    I want to be able to create a new folder for each test report based on serial number. Each time a UUT is tested, I want the report to go to the appropriate folder. What is the best way to do this?
    Thanks

    Hello Tman,
    This is a slightly tricky question. The reason being, the report options like the report path etc, are set before you see the serial number prompt when you run your UUT. There might be other ways of getting around this, but a quick solution would be modifying the process model.
    I modified the PreUUT callback to set the report options. I passed the reportOptions as a parameter to this sequence. In the PreUUT sequence, I set the following fields:
    Parameters.ReportOptions.GeneratePath=False
    Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFilePath= "c:\\"+ Locals.SerialNumber +"\\report.xml"
    I hope this would give you an idea.

  • Score board for a game show

    Hi all, Ok here goes.
    I need to create a score board for a game show at work for staff.  The score board must keep score on the left and right parts of the screen. score must start as default on 0.  Then every time I press for example the left arrow key the left score must increase by the value of 1 and when I press the right arrow key the left score must decrease by 1.
    Same goes for the right score only with differant keys example up and down keys.  This sounds very simple and I managed to get it to work when I tested with only 1 score, but failed when adding the second score to the picture.
    Please help me out on this as I don't know how to program in flash and I'm not getting any replies from other forums.

    That is AS2 code so you should repost your problem in the AS1/2 forum if you continue to have a problem.  You should try making the other score work again and show the code you are using that is not working.
    Since you have little familiarity with coding, you will do best to not approach coding the way you are.  Putting code "on()" objects is not a good practice.  You should place all the code in the timeline and assign instance names to objects to enable the timeline code to target the objects.
    If you have a button in place merely to support having the code for keyboard interaction processing, then you should do away with that and just have code assigned to deal with the keyboard specifically.  Here's some code that might get you started... if you cannot get it working for you, then please repost your problem in the correct forum.  The code goes in the timeline. Instead of the traces, you would be changing the score values...
    var keyListener:Object = new Object();
    Key.addListener(keyListener);
    keyListener.onKeyDown = function(){
       if(Key.getCode() == 38) trace("up");
       if(Key.getCode() == 40) trace("down");
       if(Key.getCode() == 37) trace("left");
       if(Key.getCode() == 39) trace("right");

  • Suggestions requested for Unit Testing process and build processes.

    Hi All,
    We are using WebLogic WorkShop 8.1 SP2 to build our WebApp. One thing I am trying
    to get together is a "Best Practises" list for aspects of WorkShop developement,
    particularly Unit Testing, Continous Build methodology, source control management
    etc.I have been through the "Best Practises Guide" that comes in WorkShop help,
    but it doesnt address these issues.This could help us all for future projects.
    1)Could anyone give pointers on how to perform Unit Testing using either JUnit/JUnitEE
    in the WorkShop realm, given that Controls cannot be accessed directly from PO
    Test classes.
    2)For a project of size say 5 developers ,does it make sense to have a nightly
    build using tools like CruiseControl?We use CVS for our source control and its
    working out pretty well, but given that we currently have no Unit Tests that can
    be run after the build and that can provide some reports on what broke/what didnt?
    I am sure we all would appreciate any suggestions and more questions on this topic.
    Thanks,
    Vik.

    Hi, Chris,
    can you perhaps explain your solution in greater detail. I am really curious to
    find a way to test controls.
    "Chris Pyrke" <[email protected]> wrote:
    >
    I have written (well it's a bit of a dirty hack really) something that
    lends itself
    to the name ControlTest (it unit tests controls). Its a blend of Junit
    and Cactus
    with some of the source of each brutalised a bit to get things to work
    (not much
    - it was a couple of hours work, when I was supposed to be doing something
    else).
    To write a control test you code something like...
    package com.liffe;
    import com.liffe.controlunit.ControlTestCase;
    import controls.Example;
    public class TestExample extends ControlTestCase
    private Example example = null;
    public void setUp() {
    example = (Example)getControl("example");
    public void testExample() {
    this.assertNotNull(example);
    String result = example.getData();
    assertEquals(result, "Happy as Larry");
    Other tasks required to set up a test are creating a web project with
    a jpf which
    needs some cut and paste code (14 lines) in its begin method and a jsp
    which is
    also cut and paste (5 lines). (ie create a standard web project and paste
    in 2
    pieces of code)
    In the web project you need to create a control (A) with an instance
    name of controlContainer.
    (if it's called something else the pasted in code will need changing
    to reflect)
    In this control you need to put an instance of TestContainerImpl and
    any controls
    that need testing.
    You then need to add a method to the control (A) that looks like…
    * @common:operation
    public String controlTestRun(String theSuiteClassName, boolean xsl)
    container.setControl("example", example);
    return container.controlTestRun(theSuiteClassName, xsl);
    You need to call container.setControl for each control being tested and
    the object
    'container' is the instance name of the TestContainerImpl that was put
    in.
    There are 4 jars (junit, cactus etc) that go in the library. You will
    also need
    the ControlUnitBase project (or maybe just it's jar).
    To use you call a URL like:
    http://localhost:7001/TestWeb/Controller.jpf?test=com.liffe.TestExample
    TestWeb is the name I gave to my web project - this will be different
    for each
    test project
    com.liffe.Example is the class above and will therefore be different
    for each
    test case.
    You can also call
    http://localhost:7001/TestWeb/Controller.jpf?test=com.liffe.TestExample&xsl=true
    (Note the extra &xsl=true) and the browser will (if it can) render it
    more prettily.
    This seems to do the job quite nicely, but there are several caveats
    I would hope
    someone from bea would be able to address before I start using it widely.
    1) To access the control you need to create it (eg as a subcontrol in
    the control
    (A) above.
    To get it into the test case you need to pass it round as an Object (can't
    return
    Control from a control operation). As it's being passed around among
    Java (POJO)
    classes I'm assuming that control remains in the control container context
    so
    this is OK. It seems to work and the Object is some form of proxy as
    any control
    seems to be reproxied before the control is invoked from the test case.
    2) If I'm testing controls called from a JPD then they either need to
    be in a
    control project (and my test cases called from a Web Project) which makes
    for
    a large increase in project numbers (we already have this and are trying
    to resist
    it) To avoid this - as a process project is a brain damaged web project
    I simply
    perform some brain surgery and augment the process project with some
    standard
    files found in any old web project. this means I can call the test JPF
    from a
    browser. This seems nasty, is there a better way?
    3) I would like to be able to deliver without the test code. At the worst
    the
    code can be in place but must be inacessible in a production environment.
    I don't
    know how best to do this - any suggestions (without creating lots of
    projects,
    or lots of manual effort)
    If anyone has read this far I would ask the question does this seem like
    the kind
    of thing that would be useful?
    Hopefully a future version of workshop will have something to enable
    unit testing
    and this hacking will be unnecessary.
    Could someone from BEA tell me if this is a dangerous way to do things?

    Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding. Hi, the work around suggested above should put you in working mode in the meantime. However to help investigate the issue it is possible to analyze what is not loading or taking a long time by analyzing the network traffic or http headers of the Nunit web page.

  • Best practice for the test environment  &  DBA plan Activities    Documents

    Dears,,
    In our company, we made sizing for hardware.
    we have Three environments ( Test/Development , Training , Production ).
    But, the test environment servers less than Production environment servers.
    My question is:
    How to make the best practice for the test environment?
    ( Is there any recommendations from Oracle related to this , any PDF files help me ............ )
    Also please , Can I have a detail document regarding the DBA plan activities?
    I appreciate your help and advise

    Follow your build document for the same steps you used to build production.
    You should know where all your code is. You can use the deployment manager to export your configurations. Export customized files from MDS. Just follow the process again, and you will have a clean instance not containing production data.
    It only takes a lot of time if your client is lacking documentation or if you re not familiar with all the parts of the environment. What's 2-3 hours compared to all the issues you will run into if you copy databases or import/export schemas?

  • Best Practice - Hardware requirements for exchange test environment

    Hi Experts,
    I'm new to exchange and I want to have a test environment for learning, testing ,batches and updates.
    In our environment we have co-existence 2010 and 2013 and I need to have a close scenario on my test environment.
    I was thinking of having an isolated (not domain joined) high end workstation laptop with (quad core i7, 32GB RAM, 1T SSD) to implement the environment on it, but the management refused and replied "do it on one of the free servers within the live production
    environment at the Data Center"... !
    I'm afraid of doing so not to corrupt the production environment with any mistake by my configuration "I'm not that exchange expert who could revert back if something wrong happened".
    Is there a documented Microsoft recommendation on how to do it and where to do so to be able to send it to them ??
    OR/ Could someone help with the best practice on where to have my test environment and how to set it up??
    Many Thanks

    I think this may be useful:
