SCSM object history from sql cmdb
HI.
In this post explain how to accessing object history programmatically using the SDK http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager/archive/2011/09/16/accessing-object-history-programmatically-using-the-sdk.aspx
I try to do this from sql query. And get trouble. Can you help me?
You cannot write a single query to get the history of all the CIs. You have to decide which CIs you want to track as each CI has its own table and columns. They all derive from System.ConfigItem but it is a abstract class so there is no table for it.
For example: If you want to write a report to capture the history of all Computer CIs, the tables you will be interested in will be MT_Computer, MT_Computer_Log. Then you have to compare Pre and Post columns.
To capture what kind of change, you need to query EntityChangeLog table.
Here is the good article that may be able to help you:

Extract SQL history from 10046 trace files
Hi all,
I need to extract the complete sql history from sql trace files to "debug" a client application.
I know I can read the raw trc file and rebuild the sql history looking for the PARSING / EXEC / FETCH entries.
However, this is a very long and boring manual task: do you know if there is some free tool to automate this task?
thanks

I agree that the 10046 trace captures everything. If I do read the raw trc file I see the DML. The problem is that tkprof's record does not record the DML (maybe it thinks that some DML is recursive sql and it gets misleaded... I am not sure) so I am looking for an alternate tool to process 10046 trace files

How can I get a date without the hour from sql server 2000 ?
hellou!
I have a JTable, and one of it's columns has to show a date. This date i have to show is specified as datetime on the Sql Server 2000 database where I have to take the data.
the query of the dataset attached to the JTable is something like "select * from Table".
The problem is that the JTable column that displays the date shows the date and the hour, for example:
7/10/04 0:00:00
and I need to show the date without the hour, only the 7/10/04. Can anyone tell me how to do that?
thank you very much! : )The easiest way to format a date is with java.text.SimpleDateFormat. When creating it you pass a format string which can be used to parse or format date objects.
SimpleDateFormat formater = new SimpleDateFormat( "MM/dd/yyyy" );
// Get date objects directly from sql
Date foundDate = result.getDate( 1 ); //where result is the ResultSet and 1 is the date column
String formatedDate = formater.format( foundDate );Now the JTable's table model can be adjusted to store a formated String instead of a Date. If for some reason it is required to store the value as a Date overload the table model to return the formated string when getValueAt is called. -

Any additional input?
Thanks, Soumya | MCITP, SharePoint 2010Hi,
“All but one database are upgradable. However, one database gives:
Invalid object name 'Webs'.”
Did the sentence you mean only one database not upgrade to SharePoint 2013 and given the error?
One or more of the following might be the cause:
Insufficient SQL Server database permissions
SQL Server database is full
Incorrect MDAC version
SQL Server database not found
Incorrect version of SQL Server
SQL Server collation is not supported
Database is read-only
To resolve the issue, you can refer to the following article which contains the causes and resolutions.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee513056(v=office.14).aspx

Entity Object (EO) issue using "Derived from SQL Expression" funtionality
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6
In my use case I am trying to get my EO to return results from a query such as the following:
SELECT table1.my_id,table1.my_des,
count(table2.store_num) as storeCount
FROM table1
LEFT JOIN table2
ON table1.my_id = table2.my_id
group by table1.my_id,table1.my_des
I have chosen to follow the path described in the following URL:
http://www.exploreoracle.com/2010/09/07/using-transient-attribute-with-derived-from-sql-expression-in-jdeveloper-11g/
To begin with, I created my EO's and VO's by using the "Business Components from Tables" wizard. This created EO and VO's for my 2 tables based on the DB schema.
I added the VO's to an app module and tested both VO's. I was able to navigate both VO's.
I then crreated a new attribute for the table1 EO. Please note that table1 does include 7 fields prior to this field therefore this becomes the 8th field. That is important once you get to the exception being thrown. The XML is as follows
<Attribute
Name="StoreCount"
IsUpdateable="false"
IsQueriable="false"
IsPersistent="false"
Precision="5"
Scale="0"
ColumnName="STORECOUNT"
SQLType="NUMERIC"
Type="oracle.jbo.domain.Number"
ColumnType="NUMBER"
Expression="(select coalesce(count(*),0) as StoreCount from table2 where my_id = table1.my_id)">
<Properties>
<SchemaBasedProperties>
<LABEL
ResId="STORE_COUNT"/>
</SchemaBasedProperties>
</Properties>
</Attribute>
I then tested the VO's again in the app module and everything continues to work fine.
I then added the new attribute to the VO by doing "Add Attribute from Entity".
I then tested the VO for Table1 and now get the following error. Could you please advise me as to what I might be doing wrong.

OLE object Migration from Access to Oracle through SQL developer
Hello,
I used sql developer 3.1.07(oracle 11g) to perform data migration from MS ACESS.
the MS access data has a column with data type as "OLE object" ---there
saved a lot of pdf files .
Then I performed "copy to oracle" from MS access connection, the OLE data
changed to BLOB from oracle database, and data seems to be copied to
database as binary . However none of the data in the column can be opened. I
download the blob data to a file from sql developer and tried to open
using Adobe 8.1 with no success.
How can I fix this issue? or I should say, how can I migrate MS access OLE data to oracle?
Thanks,
H.M.thx - will have a look

The original PDF content starts with:
%PDF-1.4
%ª«¬
4 0 obj
<<
/Creator (Apache FOP Version 1.0)
/Producer (Apache FOP Version 1.0)
/CreationDate (D:20120521131845+02'00')
>>
endobj
5 0 obj
<<
/N 3
/Length 12 0 R
/Filter /FlateDecode
>>
stream
But when I try to save the content in the BLOB as a file it claims about a missing mime extension and when I ignore this message and save the file anyway as a PDF the content is corrupted.
It shows as :
Acrobat Document ..
´4 0 obj
<<
/Creator (Apache FOP Version 1.0)
/Producer (Apache FOP Version 1.0)
/CreationDate (D:20120521131845+02'00')
>>
endobj
5 0 obj
<<
/N 3
/Length 12 0 R
/Filter /FlateDecode
>>
stream
Did you also get the missing mime type error message? -

Can we extract blob objects from sql database to a human readable format?
Hi All,
I have question How can we extract
blob objects from Sql database to human readable format ?
Blob includes Images, text and docs.
Thanks
Moug
Best Regards MougOne thing you can do if its sql 2012 or later is to load the blob data to FileTable created in database. Then you would be able to physically browse to directory it points and see all files in its native format.
see this for more details

Unable to access objects in my own schema -- imported from SQL Server
Hi All,
I have imported some tables from MS SQL SERVER 2005 to Oracle 9i (9.2.0.1.0) on Windows machine.
When I fire the query like "SELECT * FROM TAB", I can see the list of all those tables that I have imported, but the problem is that if I try to fetch the data from a specific table, the error is shown as "TABLE OR VIEW DOES NOT EXISTS".
Can you please suggest me some work around to get the data from the tables?
Thanks in advance

Using flash to display images from sql server or file system
hello,
what methods and parameters of the urlloader class we have to use to display images in a flash player if possible..
also movie should update everytime a new image is added to a database or file
the images can either be in a file system or in a sql database (if possible)
does flash comes with an object of this type or we have to create it.
regards,i responded to your duplicate message 4 days ago:
is it possible to insert and retrieve images from sql server using actionscript.
you'll need server-side script to query your database and you can use the flash urlloader class to call your script.
also is it possible to create a flash scrolling gallery based on images stored in a database and everytime an image is added it is displayed in the gallery.
load the data using the urlloader class and then load the images. periodically query the database for new images if there's no direct way for flash to know a new image was added. -

Slow Speed While fetching data from SQL 2008 using DoQuery.
Hello,
I am working for an AddOn and tried to use DoQuery for fetching data from SQL 2008 in C#.
There are around 148 records which full fill this query condition but it takes much time to fetch the data.
I wanna know that is there any problem in this code by which my application is getting slower.
I used break Points and checked it, I founds that while connecting to the server it is taking time.
Code:
// Get an initialized SBObob object
oSBObob = (SAPbobsCOM.SBObob)oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.BoBridge);
//// Get an initialized Recordset object
oRecordset = (SAPbobsCOM.Recordset)oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.BoRecordset);
string sqlstring = "select DocEntry,ItemCode From OWOR where OWOR.Status='R' and DocEntry not in ( Select distinct(BaseRef) from IGE1 where IGE1.BaseRef = OWOR.DocEntry)";
oRecordset.DoQuery(sqlstring);
var ProductList = new BindingList<KeyValuePair<string, string>>();
ProductList.Add(new KeyValuePair<string, string>("", "---Please Select---"));
while (!(oRecordset.EoF))
ProductList.Add(new KeyValuePair<string, string>(oRecordset.Fields.Item(0).Value.ToString(), oRecordset.Fields.Item(0).Value.ToString() + " ( " + oRecordset.Fields.Item(1).Value.ToString() + " ) "));
oRecordset.MoveNext();
cmbProductionOrder.ValueMember = "Key";
cmbProductionOrder.DisplayMember = "Value";
Thanks and Regards,
Ravi SharmaHi Ravi,
your code and query look correct. But can you ellaborate a little bit.
It seems to be a DI API program ( no UI API ) ?
When you say "I founds that while connecting to the server it is taking time." do you mean the recordset query or the DI API connection to SBO ? The later would be "normal" since the connection can take up to 30 seconds.
To get data it is usually better to use direct SQL connections.

Im just new here in SAP XI version 7.0 . Can anyone teach me how to map objects using IR (design) between sender (data coming from sql 2005) and receiver (using Bapi_Salesorder_Createfromdat2)?
there are only specific fields i need to transfer the data like the followings :
do i need to map all fields from sender to receiver?tell me how..

-PARTN_NUMB=1100074
Thanks in advance
aVaDuDzHi,
Create :
1. Source & Target Data Types
2. Messge Type (for source & target data types)
3. Two Message Interface for using above message types
4. One Message mapping using source & target message Type
5. One Interface mapping.
In message mapping just map those field which you require. You can leave rest of the fileds un mapped at source which are not required to map.
