SD: Sales & Distribution

Hi Guru,
I am activating the SD datasources : 2LIS_11_XXXX , 2LIS_12_XXXX, 2LIS_13_XXXX.
But there are datasource like 2LIS_01_S001 , 2LIS_01_S005, 2LIS_01_S260, 2LIS_01_S261
Question : are these Datasouces 2LIS_01_XXXX   still used ??????
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Firmin,
Question : are these Datasouces 2LIS_01_XXXX still used ??????
--> Not required. Not in use.
Instead of bottom-up approach. do top down approch while activation. Means try to activate cubes first and correponding or required datasources.

  • Break implementation of Sales&Distribution FROM Production into phases

I have found this forum very helpful and responsive.  Thanks for all the help.
Due to the requirement of getting the ecommerce site up fast, is it possible to just implement:
Sales Distribution side of business one 2007A
    APART
    From the Production MRP modules
    I suppose for this:
    1.  In the item master, all items for planning tab have NONE for planning method
    2.  Item is setup as INVENTORY and SALE ITEM in the general area
The raw materials cost are already accounted for as part of the purchase.
The question is how to deplete the raw goods inventory, when the finished good is completed.
If I use Inventory GI or GR then that would work but it will effect the inventory variance gain/loss account.  Effecting this account is not quite right or is it?
Or is there another way to do it?
    Mike

What if I don't care about consumption of the raw goods since it is very cheap about .5% cost of the finished goods.
But I do want to show finished goods inventory coming into the warehouse.

  • Payment terms for Advances in Sales & Distribution

    Hi friends !!
1)You may know that we have payment terms like eg: 30% advance and remaining payment after delivery.
In such scenario, while doing sales order itself the customer need to pay the advance. Then he needs acknowledgement or bill for that amount. How and where we will configure that???
2)If the advance amount recieved at sales order level do we need to issue the invoice for the full amount or for the balance amount??
Please any one help me to understand the logic !!
    Thanks & Regards,

    hi,
If it is real-estate based one plz follow the following procedurs:
You have to define conditions for sales-based rent in order to be able to post sales-based rent. Also, if advance payments were made for sales-based rent or a minimum sales-based rent is defined, conditions allow you to offset these against the sales-based rent to be paid.
    Prerequisites
You defined the necessary condition types in Customizing and assigned them attributes for sales-based rent. In Customizing choose:
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide - Flexible Real Estate Management - Conditions and Flows - Condition Types
You set the Relevant to Sales indicator on the General Data tab page in the real estate contract.
    Procedure
           1.      On the Conditions tab page, assign the necessary conditions to the contract. The following condition types are relevant for sales-based rent settlement:
    ·        Advance Payment for Sales-Based Rent
One-time or recurring condition for sales-based rent; requires actual rent as condition purpose. Advance payments made by the tenant are offset against the sales-based rent resulting from the sales-based rent agreement.
    ·        Minimum Rent
Minimum amount of sales-based rent to be paid. This is usually a condition with the condition purpose actual rent, but can also be used as a statistical condition.
    ·        Maximum Rent
Maximum amount of sales-based rent to be paid (cap). Maximum rent is usually represented by one or more statistical conditions. The maximum amount is the sum of the conditions, limited to the given settlement period.
    ·        Sales-Based Rent (Required for Every Sales Rule)
This condition defines how the receivable or credit memo is posted. It is not possible to assign a unit price to this condition, since the posting amount is determined by the sales-based rent settlement. The calculation formula always has to be sales-based rent (see: Customizing settings). The system generates a cash flow item for the posting that reflects the posting period and settlement period. For this reason, you do not enter a frequency for this condition. Instead, it is defined as a one-time condition.
The Sales-Based Rent condition is also used to specify which objects of the sales-based rent agreement form the basis for sales-based rent. This makes it possible to determine sales-based rent using measurements as a basis (for example, per square foot of retail space). If the condition has a distribution rule, then sales are distributed to the objects using this rule.
Note that the system uses only the last distribution formula in the settlement period. The system does not distribute proportionally within the settlement period if there is a change to the distribution formula.
           2.      On the Terms subtab, assign the same sales rule to all advance payment conditions for sales-based rent, to all minimum sales-based rent conditions, and to just one Sales-Based Rent condition.
You have to assign a single Sales-Based Rent condition to each sales rule.
If a contract contains more than one sales rule, you have to assign that number of Sales-Based Rent conditions in order to be able to perform settlement. You cannot use advance payments or minimum sales-based rent conditions for settlement. You can assign a sales rule to from zero to any number of advance payments and to from zero to any number of minimum sales-based rent conditions.
    regards,
    Siddharh.

    Hi All
I m having some configuration problem.I m trying to create sales order. As soon as I put details like Order type, sales org,div & distribution channel and press enter I get pop up window of 'create with ref'. It may be some reference issue. It started when I changed ref div,ref dist channel & ref sales org and their assignment.
    Pls advice.

You need to check for your order type in VOV8 where there is a field "Reference mandatory".  Based on that, system will populate the source field.

  • UTC Time Zone Impact to Sales & Distribution

We've decided to set out time zone for UTC within the system, while the individual users will set their time zones accordingly.  However, we feel this may lead to some issues with the 6-7 hr time zone difference as most of the users are in Eastern Time or Central Time.  Orders which are created after 7pm Eastern time are recorded as created the following day.
I'm sure some of you SD gurus have came across and discussed this same problem during the course of a project.. just looking for some specifics to look for when it comes to time zone issues with SD processing.  (example: batch jobs, variants, time stamps, inbound sales IDocs from different time zones, sales orders data conversion time stamps, date extracts to BI)

Keep the user time zones in the user profile (t.code SU01). By this way, user transactions will reflect the user time zone -time stamps. For example check this thread Is PGI date beased on system date or user profile time zone date?
Most of the time the basis team can help you to over come the issues. You can also do some testing related to background job running, IDOC receipt/send etc in the test system for clear understanding.
Related OSS Note 481835 - Analyzing the time zone settings for basis team can also be a reference.

  • How to tell a credit memo is cancelled from Sales Distribution?

    Hi, Expert,
This is Sales Distrubtion Billing side credit memo.
From the ME23N Document Flow of a PO delivery, I can see a credit memo status is 'cancelled'.  Do you know what is the background process to show that 'cancel' status?
I see the mapping from the 'cancelled' is from :
        structure:  DOCUMENT_FLOW_ALV_STRUC,
       field name: STATUS
       Data Element:  BELEG_STATUS
What's the real  table, Field and value to deceide a credit memo is cancelled?
I need to drop this cancelled credit memeo when post to the amount.

    Hi Sam,
You really need to explore yourself on that. For example if you want to find out the processes in say Cement industry, just google in Cement sales process and you will get some of the industry standards, processes and so on. From there you can build on it. This has to be exploratory only and there is no standard set of processes for each industry. Though the common processes are there, variations are abundant.
Just get into help.sap.com and search for each verticals, you will get the process standards for every kind of industry SAP has IS on.

  • Datasource for Sales & Distribution (SD) Inquiry documents

    Hello,
I am trying to extract SD Inquiry documents.  These documents exist in the same tables as Sales Orders and Quotes: VBAK and VBAP.  However, the SAP extractors  2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VAITM do not seem to provide access to SD Inquiries.  Is there a different SAP extractor that I should use?  Or is there a configuration problem that I have that is limiting Inquiries?
    Thanks,
    Kent

OK.  Maybe I am not being clear enough.  I already know the Extractors for SD.
I am using 2LIS_11_VAHDR & 2LIS_11_VAITM to extract SD documents.  These extractors are getting me Sales Order and Sales Quotes.  But these extractors are NOT getting Sales Inquiries.  Sales Orders, quotes and Inquires are stored in the same tables in SAP.
I am not sure if the problem is SAP configuration or if these extractors do not include Inquiries.
    Thanks
