SDK with Parallels

I have a setup of as follows:
Mac with CS5.5 InDesign sdk
sdk is merged version, with Windows & Mac files
Windows 7 on Parallels with Visual Studio 2008
Mac Home folder mapped to Y drive on parallels
The problem:
If I try to build sample sdk plug-in I get the following odfrc error
ODFRC deleting old resources...
Could Not Find y:\InDesign\AdobeInDesign7.5_SDK\build\win\objd\BasicDialog\*.idrc
# Error: Previous .fr file Project : error PRJ0019: A tool returned an error code from "Performing Custom Build Step"
Project : error PRJ0002 : Error result 1 returned from 'C:\Windows\SysWow64\cmd.exe'.
A little search on past forums, bring up the probable cause of this error, as multiple calls to odfrc. But I don't think this is the case, since this is sample adobe project untouched. Also copyng entire folder onto parallels C drive, and the errors are gone. So it sounds like this is an issue with networked files using parallels.
One more point. this error started with CS5. In CS4 & previous versions alll was fine. This may have to do with the new resource format in CS5 for multi threaded resources.

The other issue that you will have to check out is that Terramodel requires a USB Serial security device dongle.
I am not sure if the proposed configuration will allow for this.

I have just the regular version, not Professional.
I mean "les integrated", in the sense that you really run Fusion "in a window". The more "integrated" approach means that Windows applications run as if they were for the Mac, and you do not see the Windows interface at all. I personnaly think tjat is too confusing. There is nothing wrong with it, just a bit more confusing. i like having it clear that Windows is in a seperate Window.

Error when creating index with parallel option on very large table

I am getting a
"7:15:52 AM ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kxfqupp_bad_cvl], [7940], [6], [0], [], [], [], []"
error when creating an index with parallel option. Which is strange because this has not been a problem until now. We just hit 60 million rows in a 45 column table, and I wonder if we've hit a bug.
Version 10.2.0.4
O/S Linux
As a test I removed the parallel option and several of the indexes were created with no problem, but many still threw the same error... Strange. Do I need a patch update of some kind?

This is most certainly a bug.
From metalink it looks like bug 4695511 - fixed in 10.2.0.4.1

Windows XP or Vista for use with Parallels on MacBook 2.16 GHz?

As described in my earlier post, I'm currently switching from my G4 PowerBook to a new MacBook 13" 2.16 GHz.
I'll have to use Windows parallel to OS X (plan to do that with Parallels Desktop) and would like to know what you recommend:
Windows XP or Windows Vista?
Vista should be better in security issues, however it should also consume much more ressources and thus run slower ... is that right?
What's your experience?

personally I favour XP over Vista (at least for now and the near future), because as you mentioned Vista a much more hungrier than XP and also because there are still a lot of applications which do not work correctly or at all in Vista.

Help with parallel arrays of different data types

Hello all, I am having an issue with parallel arrays. My program requires me to read information from a text file into 4 parallel arrays (2 String and 2 double). My text file needs to look something like this:
John Johnson
0000004738294961
502.67
1000.000
Jane Smith
0000005296847913
284.51
1000.000
...and so on
Where the first thing is the name (obviously), an account number, the balance in the account, and the credit limit. I just cant figure out how to read everything into the arrays. We havent learned anything too heavy, and this seems a little too advanced for my class, but I guess we will manage. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Man this is a dumb homework assignment. The requirements scream out for a class along the lines of
public class Account{
private String name, number;
private double balance,creditlimit;
// more code here
}and then to use a List of Account objects.
Anyway what's your actual problem. There's nothing very hard about it. A loop. So....
You should consider posting (formatted) code showing what you have done and where exactly you are stuck.

You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

Multi-table INSERT with PARALLEL hint on 2 node RAC

Multi-table INSERT statement with parallelism set to 5, works fine and spawns multiple parallel
servers to execute. Its just that it sticks on to only one instance of a 2 node RAC. The code I
used is what is given below.

Microphone on Macbook pro does not work in windows 7 with parallels

I recently purchased a Macbook pro with retina display, and installed windows 7 on the macbook with parallels desktop 7. I found out my microphone was not working correctly inside windows, I did bought my laptop to Apple store, at first we thought it was the microphone problem and exchanged me a new laptop, but the issue still exits, so I bought the laptop back to Apple store, this time we find out it seems like the microphone only not working under the windows, it works just fine in Mac part.
Apple direct me to windows telling me that I might need to install a device or driver only windows can provide; then when I contacted window, Windows told me I need to contact apple because the device or deriver must provided by the manufacture of the PC. Both side still direct me back to each other, so I still don't know what deriver or device I needed..........
When I pull up the device manager inside windows, the only device listed under sound is "Parallels Audio Controller (x64)"
Another thing is, the microphone still works inside windows 7, it's just not working correctly. For an example, if I'm doing a live chatting with my friends inside windows, I can hear my friends and they can hear me too, but they cannot hear me very clearly, it seems like there are some kind of negative feedback, it seems like there's an electronic vibrate in my voice.

Trying to install on MacBookPro with Parallels and Windows 8.1. Downloaded the CreativeCloud.exe but says I can't install from network drive

I sometimes like to use Photoshop CC and Lightroom on the Windows side of my MacBookPro with Parallels. I had to reinstall Parallels and also Windows 8.1 recently and am trying to reinstall some of the software that I had previously on the Windows side. I downloaded the CreativeCloud.exe program and when I try to install it from the Windows side, get a message that I can't install Creative Cloud from a network drive. Where can I put the CreativeCloud.exe so I can install it?

You probably need to check your drive setup for the Parallels environment. Nothing to do with Adobe.

Yes, it supports target display mode. Windows can be run with either Parallels or Boot Camp.

How to setup Flex SDK with latest AIR SDK?

Now the latest AIRSDK web page has a small link at the bottom for Flex users and it states that Flex users should take the SDK version without the compiler. BUT....
the http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html page says to download the SDK from
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/asc2.html
but this page now redirects to:
http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html
which contains a large list of archived SDK's. So that help page never really says which version of the SDK to use - with or without the compiler. But other forum posts have implied its suppose to be the one with the compiler.
Now since we're overlaying the ...plugins\com.adobe.flash.compiler_4.7.0.349722\AIRSDK folder that would make sense.
But now there's a second overlay instructions page at:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/how-overlay-air-sdk-flex-sdk.html
with different instructions.
So my questions are:
   Which overlay instructions are we really suppose to use?
   Which version of the AIR SDK (with or with-out compiler) are we suppose to use?
   What does the Flex Library Project properties -> Flex Library Compiler -> 'Include Adobe AIR libraries' checkbox really do?
        If I've followed the (first) overlay instructions above, does this checkbox now mean I'm using the overlaid AIR SDK 3.6
        with the current Flex SDK I've chosen?
        What if I'm using the Apache Flex 4.9.1 SDK? Will the AIR SDK 3.6 overlay that?
            (Doesn't Apache Flex have AIR 3.4 embedded - will this confuse Flash Builder 4.7 ?)
Is it just me, or is this just getting more and more confusing? Can we perhaps get a AIR SDK combo box to go beside the Flex combo box and when we check the 'Include Adobe AIR libraries' then we can select the AIR SDK we want? And get a 'configure AIR SDKs...' link too? Then perhaps we can get completely away from overlays and all this merged SDK nonsense. I've had nothing but problems with it.
The real reason I need all this info is because I'm trying to use Flash Builder 4.7 to build an Android ANE and I'm having a devil of a time just trying to find my resources. When I use context.getResourceID() I'm not getting the correct resources - and after reviewing other posts here I came to the conclusion that it might be due to bugs in older AIR SDK's. So really, at the moment I could care less about the latest Flex SDK, I just need to know I'm working from the latest AIR SDK.

At the bottom it says:
Note : Flex users will need to download the original AIR SDK without the new compiler. Mac Windows.
Download the proper one for your OS and then extract it over your existing Flex SDK directory.

How to use Iden SDK with WTK 2.5.1 ?

I have installed WTK, and it has been working but I realized I forgot to add the iden SDK for my motorola phone. I installed the SDK but I assume I need to link the files to WTK somehow?
What I am wanting to do :
So... I think I know what I need... I thought I had installed the iDEN SDK from Motorola, but I never did. So I installed the SDK but now I don't know how to use it with WTK. For you people proficient with this I am sure this is a simple task, but for me I am lost.
The SDK has a class file called StatusManager which can retrieve phone battery level...
From documentation:
"Field Detail
BATTERY_LEVEL
public static final int BATTERY_LEVEL
This is the value passed to the status manager to retrive the battery levels
The return value is in the range of [0 - 3] with 0 being no charge and 3 being a full battery.
BATTERY_LEVEL has a value of 0"
QUESTION IS: Where do I put the SDK files so WTK can use them? I am lost here.
I found the StatusManager.class file in :
C:\Program Files\Motorola\iDEN SDK for J2ME (MIDP 2_0)\lib\i730\com\mot\iden\device\
Can someone give me the detailed process of using the SDK with WTK... please??

Is there something so called as the back-door approach to it.
I read in the articles of Struct Objects and Connection that:
If connection is obtained via:
weblogic.jdbc.jts.connection jtsConn = getConnection();
OracleConnection oracleConn = jtsConn.conn;
And this should ideally work in WLS5.1,
but still i wonder how did they obtain the connection.
It would be obligatory if someone could help me with it.

ASC 2.0用のAIR SDKを最新の3.5.0.880に更新したいのですが、手順が分かりません。
現在はひとつ前のバージョンAIR SDK 3.5.0.600 with ASC 2.0（Cleative CloudのGame SDKに含まれてたもの）を以下のディレクトリにある古いものと置き換え済みです。

Detection of the AIR 3.5.0.880 patch has now been fixed and my SR closed.

Workbench Execution with Parallel Group Type

I created a replication job in Workbench 4.1 to migrate 16 tables - ODBC sources (for AS400) and Microsoft SQL Server targets within a single replication group. I can select Type to either Parallel or Sequential for the replication group:
I set Type to Parallel and when executing, I observe that 8 of the 16 tables begin processing and as each completes another of the remaining begins so there are always 8 tables being processed until there are no longer tables to process.
If I test with two separate replication jobs each with 8 of the 16 tables with Parallel set and execute at the same time, both jobs load 8 tables in parallel so that 16 are being loaded at once.
I would like to understand how the number of source/target replications running in parallel within a Workbench replication job is determined and/or set (in my case, 8). Is that within the tool at all or is it strictly from the database?

I hope that depends on the Job server's no. of engine processes.
To see the no. of engine process assigned to your Job server,
Go to 'Tools' Menu---> 'Options'--> Expand 'Job Sever'--> 'Environment', as shown in the attached pic.
