Search Form for object

Using Adobe XI Pro, after scanning, can I search PDF for an object and save responsive files? I have thousands of PDF to search for an X in a certain box, along with other fields that may meet the search criteria.

The output of any scanner is an image file - a "picture" of whatever was on the paper.
There is no renderable / searchable text in a picture.
Use Acrobat XI Pro's OCR and save as. Now give Find / Search ago.
Remember that Optical Character Recognition *does not* recognize all bitmapped images of characters.
As well recognition is not flawless. Example:  the picture of "m" is recognized as "n~".
Yes, "characters" are more than a through z or 0 through 9.
Regardless. If scanned then OCR. With that use find / search.
Be well...

  • Creating a Search form for Captivate courses

I've been asked to create a search form for our online courses. We do not use the TOC in our courses so the Find field in the TOC is not an option. Here are the ideas I've had so far:
    a Javascript-powered form search
    a search form widget
a Google search embedded into the surrounding HTML page (But I don't think that Google can "see" text inside the Captivate SWF object...)
Right now, we are using Captivate 5.5, but do plan to move to Captivate 6.0 fairly soon. I'm grateful for any ideas.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for your reply.
Could you tell me where can i find example implementations of the query model classes.
they have mentioned it to be found in "For an example implementations of the different model classes for a query, see the classes located in the oracle.adfdemo.view.query.rich package of the ADF Faces sample application."
Also where can i get the source code for this http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/components/query.jspx

  • Is there a way to have a search form for the CRM database?

I know there is a search form provided for the Web Apps. I can't seem to find how to create a search form for the CRM database. I have created a membership site, and also extended the CRM database with additional fields. I would like the users to be able to search on selected fields in the CRM database including the extended database fields. For example, I have a field called membership type in the extended database. I would like to be able to search on that in a search form. Is that possible?
    Thanks

    Sidney,
Your input is very helpful to put me on the track to find a workaround. As I tried using Web App approach, I get into a road block that hopefully you can help throw some light on.
This my scenerio: I created a Web App for holding the profile fields (called it Profile). I created a Page to display the Customer record (Names, usernames, email, etc, and I would also want to display the fields from the Profile Web App. I am at lost how to do that. Seems like I can only insert the web item list in that page but I actually want to display the Detall Layout instead of the List layout. To display the Detail Layout, I need to first manually choose the item before it will direct me to the Detail layout. I am trying to find a way to do this automatically based on the fact I have only one Profile web app item for each customer.
The question is whether there is a way to pull up a specific Profile web app item based on the customer's id or something that link the two together, using javascript or whatever method. Is there a tag to gives me the customer record id? If I can get that id, I could insert that id into one of the fields in the Profile Web App during creation of profile. Perhaps I can then pull up the profile item based on this id.
    Thanks for all the help

  • Reg - Search Form for a VO with group by clause

    Hi,
I have a Bar graph that displays data based on the Query below.
SELECT STATUS.STATUS_ID AS STATUSID,STATUS.STATUS,COUNT(SR.SERVICEREQUEST_ID) AS SRCOUNT
    FROM SERVICE_REQUEST SR ,SERVICEREQUESTSTATUS STATUS
    WHERE SR.STATUS_ID = STATUS.STATUS_ID
    GROUP BY STATUS.STATUS_ID,STATUS.STATUS,SR.STATUS_ID
It displays the count of SRs against a particular status.
Now I need to add a search form to this graph with customer and date range.
So we need to add the line below to the where clause.
"SR.CUSTOMER_ID = :customerId AND SR.REQUESTED_ON BETWEEN :fromDate and :toDate"
But the columns SR.CUSTOMER_ID, SR.REQUESTED_ON also need to be added to the select clause to create the View criteria for search panel.
The two columns should also need to be added to the group by clause if we are to add them in the select clause.
This would not produce the expected results.
How do I create a search form with the criterias applied only at the where clause. Please help.
    With Regards,
    Guna

The [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17483/oracle/jbo/server/ViewObjectImpl.html]ViewObjectImpl has methods for doing this programmatically (setQuery, defineNamedWhereClauseParam, setNamedWhereClauseParam) that you can use to manipulate the query, the bind variables expected, and the values for the binds.

  • Clob objects in search form

    Hello.
I am trying to build a search form for my DB following the instructions of the "Developing Rich Web Applications with Oracle ADF" tutorial.
One of the attributes I want to search (which is a field of a table in the DB) is of the type CLOB, but it is marked as non-queryable, and the checkbox is disabled so I cannot make it queryable.
Is there any way to query CLOBs using the built-in search form? I know CLOBs can be queryed in Oracle.
    Thank you very much.

    Timo,
You're confusing Oracle Text (or whatever it's called now) with CLOB datatype , although a text index on a clob column would be ok.
You can use LIKE on clob columns, but not direct comparison with a string:

  • How to make a search form with required items?

    Hi
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2 and JHeadstart 11.1.1.2.29
I want to make a Search-form for Searching Employees. I want to search for Last Name OR First Name OR Maximum Salary OR ( Combination ManagerID and DepartmentID). One of these is required.
On the view object for Employees, I defined a view criteria for the search.
In JHeadstart, I disable Quick Search and set Advanced Search to model-samePage and Advanced Search View Criteria to the view criteria I just defined.
But now, I can also personalize the Advanced Search. How can I disable this?
And is this the right way to create such a Search-form or do you have other suggestions?
    Regards,

The model-based search is standard ADF functionality.
Jheadstart simply generate the search component on the page. There are a lot of addiitonal properties on af:query that you can set that we do not expose through the Jheadstart application definition editor.
You can create a custom template to set those additional properties.
See the af:query tag doc for more info:

  • Problem with search forms in master-detail structure

According to JHeadstart error message i cant generate 2 search forms in one page, BUT i generated master table in one page and master form + detail table in another so WHY i cant put search forms for both tables?? They are on the different pages!
How can i solve this problem?

    Sasha,
The reason this is not allowed, is because when you use Layout Style table-form, the same UImodel is used for both the table and the form page, and each UImodel can have only one advancedSearch binding (which is also used for quick search). Each advancedSearch binding can be linked to only one iterator, and that is either the iterator of the master table or the iterator of the detail table.
An enhancement request to remove this limitation is high on our wish-list, but didn't make it in the 10.1.2.1 release.
You could try to make post-gen modifications to add an extra search. I have not tried it, but here is what I would do:
    - generate with search for master, and backup the generated pages and ui model
    - generate with search for detail, and backup the generated pages and ui model
    - merge the pages and ui models, renaming one of the advancedSearch bindings
    - for the page where the renamed binding should be use, make a subclass of JhsDataAction and override onQuickSearch and/or onAdvancedSearch, to use the other binding name
    Hope this helps,

is it the way i called the information?
or is the query not finding anything?

  • Creating Search Forms

I would like to create a search form for my database. I would like to plug a value into a field, and click a search button that finds the record I want and fills in the rest of the fields. If someone can point me to some docs or give me a hint I would appreciate it.
I can create reports and forms of any type, but I can't figure this one out.
    Thanks.
    Brian

I guess you are talking of Parameter forms or Customization forms. You can create a report and use its customization form for conditionally querying your records.
    For example ...
If your select statement for the Report is something like this...
    select ename,sal from scott.emp where deptno=:department;
(Here :department is the bind variable which will facilitate conditional querying when you run the customization form for that report).

  • Looking for help to develop data search form

I have built a SQL Query that produces a data set of
approximately 60,000 records which includes last_names,
    First_names, ID_numbers, Office_Names, Association_Names, and
Member_Type fields. I have created a table that displays ten
records at a time (in alphabetical order by last, first name). I
want to (1) be able to search for a specific person in the dataset,
and then once I find him/her, (2) be able to click on their
ID_Number to select it and then go to another page with their
    ID_Number.
I have not been able to find documentation on conducting
searches of datasets. I am using classic ASP for server side
scripting (though I am brand new at this).
Any assistance you might be able to provide will be most
    gratefully appreciated.
    Thanks very much,
    Austin

    That would surely work.

The search form posts its results to the processor page. The
    processor page
retrieves those form values from the $_POST array, and uses
    them to
formulate a new SQL SELECT statement, identical to the old
    one, except with
the inclusion of the first and last name values from the
    $_POST array in the
    WHERE statement.

  • How to add search help for field in ALV object

    Hello,
In a program, we use ALV object ( container) to create a liste like : field1, field2 .. but when display we do not have search help for this . Could you please help me how to add match code in this case for field 1 and field2, We use set_table_for_first_display
    Thanks,

    Hi,
when you define your field catalogue you can create data elements with search help in se11 and use them for field 1 and field 2.
But maybe it is enough to use data elements belonging to a domain with a value help and to set field F$AVAILABL in the field catalogue or to fill the name of the field CHECKTABLE.

  • How-to synchronize edit forms for a single View Object tree node entrie

    Hi all,
I created a tree from a single View Object,
    follow this [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/32-tree-table-from-single-vo-169174.pdf]
then i want to create and synchronize edit forms for tree node entries,
    follow this [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/50-synchromize-form-treeselection-169192.pdf]
but it not working when i click child node!!
i found the latter tree from many View Object ,but the former tree from single View Object.
    what should i do?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
say the tree is built from ViewObject1. In the AM model, create a second View Object instance for this. Say ViewObject2. Create the form from ViewObject2 and the tree from ViewObject1. When creating the tree, use the"Target Data Source" option at the bottom to reference the iterator of ViewObject2. Then create a PartialTrigger on the paneFormLayout that holds the synch form. In the partial trigger property, reference the tree so that when the tree selection changes, the form is updated. Then create a PartialTrigger property on the tree and point it to the submit button of the form so you can show updated values in the tree.
