I HAVE ONE SELECT-OPTION FOR ZTSH-TSMONTH. HOW CAN I SET SEARCH HELP FOR THAT

Hi Sihya,
You can create search help in 2 ways:::
1) Goto SE11 and create search help with any name ZSRCHELP.
For reference u can see some standard search help like H_T530E for field PREAS in table PA0002.
Now go to SE11 in table ZTSH, u can find the tab for search help, select your field TSMONTH, and click on search help tab and give the name of search help u created.
Now activate it.
Now u goto ur report u will find search help will be shown for that parameter.
2)See the report below

Search help for select options

Hi,
I want to give search help for a field on selection screen based on value in another field in same selection screen. I am using DYNP_VALUES_READ function module to retain the values and F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST function module to give search help and it works fine, but when i give multiple selections i am not able to read the values. Please help. Points will be rewarded.

Change of Search help for location field in report incident

Hi All,
i have added new fields Region,BSA in the report incident form .here based on the region entered in the search help the corresponding bsa have to be displayed in the search help of BSA .these are achieved customising the search help exit FM EHFND_SHLP_EXIT_F4_BOBF_QUERY.
similarly based on the BSA entered in the BSA field Location field search help should filter the values and display .the isues here are
1. the location field and search help attached are standard and they are being used in many instances .
2.when i click on the f4 help the control doesnt stop any where in the feeder class CL_EHHSS_INC_Q_LOC_UI_FRM of the form though i put the breakpoints .ie the event on enter locid is not getting triggered.
my question is where can i write the code to filter the values being displayed in the location search help.

Hi Luxmi,
Dictionary-based search helps are triggered from directly within the WDA layer. Therefore, there is no callback from the FPM event loop. The filter would need to be implemented as an implicit enhancement of the aforementioned search help exit function.

Check the below solution for your issue - The FM "'RS_SELECTIONSCREEN_READ" is used to get the S_BUKRS values. Even though the FM returns single values of the Select options ( Low & High ) it fits the requirement.As the trick part is...If user enters multiple values or even enters sign for select options, S_BUKRS itself will have the value. That's why we have If else S_BUKRS[] is initial and R_BUKRS. Let me know if you have any issues with the solution provided.

Search help for Asset Class in LDB ADA

Hi,
I have a requirement to restrict values in certain search help.
It is Z transaction for Z SAP Query which has logical database ADA under itself.
The field which search help I should restrict is Asset Class.
As I found in LDB ADA, it is select option SO_ANLKL with type ANLAV-ANLKL. It leads me to search help SH_ANLKA which is defined for domain ANLKL.
But actually, another search help is called. It looks like SH_ANKA, but I don't know if it is right one.
I have two problems:
1. How to identify what search help is called?
2. How to restrict values in search help or maybe how to attach Z search help in this case (should I attach in query or is there a way to enhance LDB)?
As I am new both to SAP Query and LDB's I am not sure where to start.

Solved.
For those who face the same problem, here is the solution.
LDB ADA creates basic search help for select options Asset Class by reading ANKA-ANLKL and ANKT-TXK20.
Output list can be restricted by adding an enhancement at the end of FM DD_SHLP_GET_HELPVALUES and changing the internal table OUTPUT_VALUES.
If necessary, it can be conditioned by TCODE and for this purpose parameter can be set in the enhancement of FM DD_SHLP_CALL_FROM_DYNP by reading content of the field HELP_INFOS-TCODE.

Search help in selection screens for interactive report

A search help can only be assigned to DB table.
So my doubt is can it also be used for seletion screens created for an interactive report?
If yes what is the procedure.. Please give me one example at least...

Need selection screen values in Search help user exit in same report

Hi Experts,
I am using Logical Data Base PNP.
Created a custom search help to validate the records for IT000 based on the selection screen dates.
Enter the DATEs for Data Selection Period and Person selection period in the selection screen.
When I for search help for PERNR field in the same report, I need the selectin screen DATE values to be in user-exit of search help.
This will help me in validating the records for specific employees within the date range of given DATE in selectin period.
As of now it's picking the employees based on the DATE selection of selection screen,

Search help for a select options

Hi ,
I need to place a search help for a select-options field on my report selection screen. It should work for a z-table field . I can create a search help for the Z-table field , but I do not know how to make it available for the select-options.

Enhancing standard (single select)search help for Multiple value selection

Hi,
Standard search help for Business Partner (in cProjects) allows only single value selection for input fields. I want to make this multiple selection.
Is there a way to do it.
I used an OVS and built a similar search but its difficult to get the standard options like saving to personal value list etc in it.
It would be good if there is a way to modify the standard search help to allow multiple selection. Any ideas??

As far as I know you can't make a standard ABAP dictionary search help return multiple entries - where you get this sort of functionality the searches don't use the standard Elementary search help framework (e.g. organisational structure searches)
Given that the WDA search help relies on these dictionary based searches, I'd think very much that you couldn't enhance it to return multiple. how you could even return multiple entries into a single UI element input field is also confusing to me.
I'd suggest creating a freely programmed value help, it would certainly take quite some effort to recreate those personal value lists etc, but it could be done - I don't like OVS, but that just me.
