Searching Content in Edit Status

Hi All,
I have a content which has just one revision ,which is rejected in workflow and is in Edit Status.Is there a way that I can get it in search results.
When i try to fire a query xCustom <contains> `Test`, where xCustom is custom metadata and have value as Test ,i don't get any results.

If I understand correctly , you are looking to do search based on dStatus=Edit , right ?
This metadata column is hidden(not used) in default search page , but is used when searching for content from Repository Manager . From the applet it utilizes the following service call along with the following parameters to list the content items :
IdcService=GET_DATARESULTSET
dataSource=Documents
whereClause=(dStatus LIKE 'EDIT' )
GET_DATARESULTSET is a service call which executes a Select query against the database. The query is built from the dataSource parameter.
The list of Datasource present is stored / retrieved from std_resources.htm (location : <mw_home>/Oracle_ECM1/ucm/idc/resources/core/tables)
To list these contents from browser maybe you could write a RIDC code or run the above service from browser as mentioned :
http://hostname:port/cs/idcplg?IdcService=GET_DATARESULTSET&dataSource=Documents&whereClause=(dStatus LIKE 'EDIT' )&resultName=list&IsJava=1
In the result page check for @ResultSet list and under that dDocName listed are all the content id's which are in Edit status.
GET_DATARESULTSET does not have a HTML associated with it hence it need to be output using IsJava parameter for content listing .

Why do I always have "Insufficent Content for Edit" error message ?

Hi all FCE experts,
May I ask why do I always have "Insufficent Content for Edit" error message when I tried to overwrite or replace a clip ?
Ok,this is what happen:
I have a clip A (4 secs) followed by clip B (4 secs). Then in between I add a video transition.
After a while, I reckon I want to change clip B with another clip (say clip C). So, I went to brower & search for clip C which is 2 mins long clip. To make sure there are enough handles, I went to the centre mark an In point then 4 sec later mark an Out point. So I drag this clips C of 4 secs from the Viewer (I marked the In & Out point in the viewer) to the Overlay canvas & do an Overwrite but it says "Insufficent Content for Edit".
I then tried Replace also got the "Insufficent Content for Edit" error message.
I then tried to delete the video transition and repeat the above for overwrite and replace, both times I got the same error.
Any ideas ?

I have In Point & Out Point marked on the Timeline. I used it when I did FILE > EXPORT and left it there. But once I cleared it, I am able to replace it with another clip.
But I am still puzzled as to why I cannot do any overwrite or replace when there is I/O points marked on the Timeline ? Especially when the section of clips I wanted to overwrite or replaced are located outside of the I/O points ?

Insufficient content for edit, four point editing, ignore out point on source

Hello folks,
I'm a long time FCP 7 and Avid editor currently using 8.2 for two short form museum films and have been running into all sort of questions. This one comes up multiple times a day. I tried to search for this here but didn't find my exact issue or answers.
I am trying to do a four point edit and I keep getting the "Insufficient Content for Edit" error. My source is marked in and out for 5 sec and my timeline in and out is marked for 8 sec. Four points total. I have already checked the Ignore Source Out point in the Fit Clip window and have checked the "Remember" box as well. My source definitely have enough footage to fill the marked 8 sec in the timeline. So why isn't PP ignoring the source out point when I commit the edit? Of course, I works properly if I go to the Source window and remove the out point manually but that's a pain and shouldn't be the way. Is PP not capable of this? or Am I doing something wrong? What is the point of the "Ignore Source Out Point" if it doesn't apply to this very common situation?

I think I know what the issue is.
When the Fit Clip dialog opens for me and the source is shorter than the destination, "Ignore Source In Point" and "Ignore Source Out Point" are grayed out. In other words, when the source is shorter than the destination, my only option is to ignore sequence in or out points.
If my source is longer than my destination then it allows me to check ignore source in or out. However, if I have Premiere remember this choice, when I try to insert a source clip that is shorter than the destination, I get the error that you get.
It's obviously a terrible setup and shouldn't be like this, but that's why it's happening.

Searching for a Project status = CLSD and open purchase orders?

Hi,
I am searching for a project status (Project Builder CJ20N) which allowed my to set a CLSD or a simillar status for settlement with open purchase orders.
This staus should allowed to process with open orders BUT not allowed to add new orders after setting this status.
Have somebody any idee? Or it is impossible?

I did download the test-drive last version of File Maker plus their samll Business Solution. I did read most of the documentation and the learning process would be too long to construct ourself a good crossed-data base.

How to search content items in the folder( include subfolders) with API?

I want use UCM API to search contents in the folders including subfolders. I need a example code. thank you !

If you have Folders properly installed, Standard Search form will have 'Folder' field and 'Include subfolders' check box. This means that you can use normal http function call to get results.
Example:

Click-path: File - Export
Take your pick.
With install of Acrobat 9 the Help PDF is installed also.
From the this PDF's Bookmarks expand Chapter 5's bookmark and select "Convert PDFs to Word".

I have a simple yes/no question: is the new search webpart capable of filtering based on target audiences? And if so: how can we configure this?

Wrong behavior when search for PO in status Confirmed by vendor.

Dear Experts,
We use SRM 550 and we work with POR,
The problem is that after we create POR with quantity like the PO has there are no results if we try to search PO whit the status "Confirmed by vendor"
The problem is that after we create POR with partly of the PO quantity there is no results if we try to search PO whit the status "Partly Confirmed by vendor ".
Can someone know if we need to implement a BADI or something else?

TOC, Index, Search content not loading in FireFox 3.0 +

Hi,
I have created from RH 8 a merged Webhelp system (1 master, 2 children - based on Peter Grainge's posted procedure). It works fine from IE, and on my system, from FireFox 3.0 and up.
The problem is, that when deployed at the customer's site, the TOC, Index, and Search content does not load in FireFox. All frames display (Nav, contents, and the top frame), but the content for the TOC, Index, and Search does not load.
This only happens at the customer site. The webhelp system works okay in IE.
I have checked and we are running the same javascript version, have the same security settings in FireFox set.
I looked on Peter's site and implemented the redirect fix for FireFox that he has posted, but that hasn't seemed to fix the problem.
They aren't running any special toolbars (like Google toolbar). I am checking on add ons.
Does anyone have any ideas on what else I might check or better yet what might be causing the problem?

A merge will not work properly unless all the projects have been generated once. After that it should not matter that a project is missing, indeed simply not publishing one of the projects to the server is one of the features of merging making it easy to supply different customers with different content.
I wonder if the problem you saw was because that project had not been generated.

Sorry, the reference to AIR help was because you mentioned Snippet 141 which is AIR specific. I didn't look further back in the thread.
You said that the start page of a child project opens the tripane window with the default topic but you do not get the TOC etc. That rules out the merge being the problem. I am inclined to the view that the server is the issue so get your client to load the published output from my merge demo as that is a known quantity. Ask them to open each child project in turn and then finally the merge.

You can achieve this by using Menu. Click on the line then Select in the Menu as follows:-
Format -> Line -> Line Width
Choose appropriate line thickness.

Folders showing content in review status

Hi,
I'm facing an issue with Folders. I'm using Webcenter Content 11.1.1.6 and the component Framework Folders.
The problem is that when user1 checks-in a content with a workflow activation condition, user2 can see the content even if it's still in review status.
NOTE: User2 is NOT the content author or reviewer, but has RW privileges on the folder/content.
Is that a normal behaviour on Folders? Is there any way to show only published/released content?

Hi Jiri,
If I'm not wrong I think CollectionReleasedOnly=true variable refers to Folders_g component and not the Framework Folders component.
Anyway, I added the variable in Admin Server>General Configuration>Additional Configuration Variables and restarted the CS. Folder continues showing the content in review status.

Adobe Reader X problem - no search contents filter

Hi!
I cannot search contents of a .pdf using windows, as I could in adobe reader 9. I have found out that adobe reader x doesn't have a filter (to enable search contents)!
was it this how it supposed to be?

Adobe has really left us up the creek without a paddle here. They stopped posting separate IFilter installers on their download page when they started bundling it in with Reader (except for the 64-bit version of IFilter 9), and the installer for Reader X not only doesn't include the IFilter, but it actually removes whatever IFilter you've got installed. So, you can't, for example, install Reader 9.4 to get the IFilter from it, and then install Reader X over top of it to have a more modern/secure version of Reader, because your IFilter will disappear. You are stuck choosing between Reader 9.4 with a somewhat modern IFilter and probably poor security, or Reader X with no IFilter (or the last IFilter to have its own installer, version 6.0, which is 6 years old).
Dear Adobe, this is a real mess that needs to be fixed. How many people out there have no idea that their PDF files are no longer searchable because Reader X removed their IFilter? At least create an installer for IFilter v9.4 so people can use a modern IFilter in combination with Reader X, instead of being forced to use Reader 9.4. There are a lot of posts in this forum about the missing IFilter, and I don't see a single reply from Adobe.

Import iPhoto slideshows results in "INSUFFICIENT CONTENT TO EDIT"

I created a small slideshow with iPhoto: FCP TEST.MOV
In some Final Cut Pro Projects I can Import the file.
But when I play the project I get a message: Turn Of unlimited RT.
The point is, I can't turn it of, because the only options I see is:
- Play Base Layer Only
- Use Play back settings
- Full Quality.
In Another project I can set the Unlimited RT off.
But Then I Can't Import the "FCP TEST.MOV".
a message will pop up: *Insufficient content For Edit.*

You need to choose the *Safe RT* setting, above Unlimited RT -they are mutually exclusive choices.
Insufficient content For Edit.
The in and out points on your Timeline have a longer duration than the source footage "FCP Test.mov". Set the out point to a duration that is at least as long "FCP Test.mov" or, remove the out point in the Timeline and set in and out on "FCP Test.mov" in the Browser.

"Insufficient content for editing" missage

Sometimes I get "Insufficient content for editing" message when sending a FCP audio track to STP, however an audio file is created and I can process it. It does not link to the FCP time line however. This seems liks a bug, Help

Search Complaints based on Status with operator 'is not'

Hi,
I enabled NE operator for STATUS_COMMON for BTQCompl in customizing settings. Now I can create a search criterion such as 'Status is not ______'. But this does not work. The search seems to ignore the whole search criterion.
Is there any way to do it? I can only think of going through every entity in the result list and checking its status. But this will affect the performance.

Create a new data source by using generic extraction by using table for Text Table.. and design a data flow accordingly to load data to target..
