Section Views in 3d
In acrobat 3d you can take section cuts, but then when you send the pdf to someone that only has Reader 8.1.1, they don't have the section icon. Wonder what I'm missing; there isn't much point in being able to take a section only in the full version, the whole point of it all is to communicate a design to someone that only has Reader. Normally the person with the full version also has Catia (or other), and he doesn't need acrobat to look at his own model.
It doesn't seem to make any difference what view settings are active when I save the pdf, it opens with a default type view.
First of all, this is an Acrobat forum. You would probably need to be using Acrobat to do that. It sounds like you're trying to turn functionality on for the free Adobe Reader application using your product rather than Acrobat. You won't find that answer here. I doubt you find it anywhere. I can't imagine Adobe would give you that answer.

Cross section view of 3D model in director
Hello everyone
I would like to know if it is possible to create cross
section views (to define a cutting plane to be able to look inside
the model) of a 3D model using Lingo . If so, can you give some
insight on how to do it?
Thks

This might also give you an interesting option:

Sectional view with nontransparent cut surface??
Hallo,
I have the following question. I want to creat a sectionel view with a nontransparent cut surface at the sites where material would be cut. Like in a mechanical drawing. Is this possible? I tried to set the opacity of the section plane on 100% but then its only nontransparent from the other side.
thanks in advance!
MaxDo you mean 'capping' the areas where the Cross Section intersects the model, so the appropriate sections appear to be solid where the cut occurs? If so, this is not possible.

Custom view in contract account screen
We added custom fields/view in contract account screen. The new section is confidential and can only be seen if there is proper authorizaion.
I was able to hide the fields in the new view/section but not the view/section itself. If the user has no proper authorization, all the fields are hidden but it still leaves a box with nothing in it.
Is there a way to hide this box or to only display the view/section according to certain conditions?Hi Bluemountain,
I do not believe there is an option to hide the section / view completely through any of the configs. Since SAP is building that subscreen area based on config, it would not be possible to suppress it through code either.

Cross-section option sometimes missing on 3D PDFs
I publish 3D PDFs of complex mechanisms for my subscribers. Sometimes Adobe Reader will offer a cross-section option and sometimes not. The 3D PDFx are not made by Acrobat Pro but with an embedded PDF generator inside my mechanical CAD software. I don't make any changes in the way PDFs are generated by the program.
Any ideas?Good questions. - in addition which version of Acrobat is it, and for Windows or Mac?. I tried a few combinations of making single and multiple cross section with face and non-cross section views on a few files in Acrobat 11 on Windows, and could not see any problem.

JTextPane custom views keyboard problem
Hi,
I am trying to implement a custom view in the JTextPane. The view is appearing fine but the keyboard cursor movements are not working. The cursor no longer moves from line to line as it used to when using the arrow keys. However Iam able to move from the end of 1 line to the start of next line. This is when I override section view with my custom view.
In another case, when I override paragraph view, then the cursor size is equal to the paragraph height and I get a tall cursor the size of the paragraph. I can no longer navigate the lines in the paragraph.
Could someone tell me why this is happening.
cheers,
Hugo
My views are setup as follows:
class XmlViewFactory implements ViewFactory {
// Creates the XML View.
public View create(Element elem) {
String kind = elem.getName();
if (kind.equals(AbstractDocument.ContentElementName)) {
return new LabelView(elem);
else if (kind.equals(AbstractDocument.ParagraphElementName)) {
return new ParagraphView(elem);
} else if (kind.equals(AbstractDocument.SectionElementName)) {
return new ResponseView(elem); // <------- my custom view
// return new BoxView(elem, View.Y_AXIS);
} else if (kind.equals(StyleConstants.ComponentElementName)) {
return new ComponentView(elem);
} else if (kind.equals(StyleConstants.IconElementName)) {
return new IconView(elem);
return new LabelView(elem);Hi,
Here's an update to my earlier question.
The problem happend to be not with any custom views as earlier mentioned. The following usage doesn't work.
if (kind.equals(AbstractDocument.ContentElementName)) {
return new LabelView(context, elem);
else
if (kind.equals(AbstractDocument.ParagraphElementName)) {
return new ParagraphView(elem);
} else if (kind.equals(AbstractDocument.SectionElementName)) {
return new BoxView(elem, View.Y_AXIS);
} else if (kind.equals(StyleConstants.ComponentElementName)) {
return new ComponentView(elem);
} else if (kind.equals(StyleConstants.IconElementName)) {
return new IconView(elem);
return new LabelView( context, elem);even when no custom view is involved. I get a blank JTextPane.

How to display keywords in browser view
I watched the tutorial for keywords at
http://www.apple.com/aperture/tutorials/#organizecompare-keywords
and it shows a view that I can't seem to replicate.
The tutorial shows a browser window and the keywords are displayed below the images.
Also, I am having difficulty adding a keyword to multiple images. I can select multiple images but I can only seem to change the highlighted image.
-MarkOK, now I see what you mean. If you had written "below each image" in the first place, it would have been easier to understand what you mean.
First you have to create a view that show only the keywords. This can be done in the Metadata pane in the Inspector. Click the gear wheel and choose "New view..." followed by giving it a name. Then, check "Keywords" after clicking the IPTC button in the bottom of the pane.
Then, to set the preference for this view, you go to the Metadata pane in the Preferences. In the first section; "Viewer" you can set which metadata view you want to show up either below or over each image. Over each image means on top of each image but in the bottom part of the images. You will see the difference.
Then, to show only the keywords just uncheck the "Show Labels" checkbox.

here intresting is that i also can't have the memory section view also.i trien to clear awr repositary and recreate it..bounce database,also tried taking different snap value.But does notmake any change.can u tell me why tha happening..and how can i get a good awr report.Hi there,
I have covered this in my blog entry on the subject. Check that link out for more licensing information and other resources.
The problem you are experiencing is caused by the fact that AWR is part of the DIAGNOSTIC and TUNING packs of Oracle 11g, which as of 11g is no longer a standard feature of the database but rather an optional extra which must be licensed in addition to your default Oracle Standard Edition package. In terms of the licensing, you just need to license it as an optional extra so that you will actually be using it legally, and then you can go ahead and enable it.
While it may be an additional licensed item, it is actually installed on your DB by default, but is just not enabled. So, once you have cleared the licensing issue, you will be free to enable diagnostics by setting the new database parameter, CONTROL_MANAGEMENT_PACK_ACCESS. You can do this by running the following as a dba:
<pre>alter system set control_management_pack_access="DIAGNOSTIC+TUNING" scope=both;</pre>
After running this command, your database will start accumulating diagnostic information. Note that you will need to wait until new snapshots are created in which the new diagnostic information will be available. I found that although most of the information became available after setting CONTROL_MANAGEMENT_PACK_ACCESS, it was only once the database was restarted that all of the information became available. I have seen many people reporting similar behavior.
Old snapshots will obviously continue to give the errors because they did not have the diagnostic information available at the time. -
Add fields to Business partner t-code BP
Hi All,
I have a requiremnt to create a BP in the counterpary role .
1.This requirement involves to add some custom fields to the table control of the payment details table control in the company code view.I have tried EEWB and BPT ,but both of them creates a new customer data tabstrip .
Any ways to add additional custom fields to the existing table control.
2. where can we find the assignmet of fields to the field groups in r3 side to maintain the BP transaction.
Regards,
Prabhu.Hi Prabhu,
Your approach is on the correct path. Basically, this is what you need to do -
1. Create the new fields using EEW. Let this create a new tab.
2. Hide this tab for all roles, EXCEPT the role for which you want to see it. You can do this in SPRO.
3. You can assign fields to field groups in transaction BUPT-> Control-> expand the menus and you will see Screens, Sections, Views, Field groups... choose field groups and within this menu you can assign fields to field groups.
Hope this helps you.
Cheers,
Rishu. -
How to change the field name in SUS
HI,
In the section view all PO's, I want to change the field name <b>document number</b> to <b>invoice number</b>.Please do let me know how to go about it.
Thanks in advance ,
ManuHi,
The text ID should be first identified in the BSP (BBP_SUS_UI/DOC_NUMBER?)
Next execute SOTR_EDIT and use the FInd button. Enter the package of the BSP object (BBP_SUS_U?) and select the language as English. Execute the program and you will a complete list of text used in SUS screen. Locate the text ID as above and double click to change based on what you need.
Regards. -

Most of the time I develop on a VM. On this system i have acces to a execution log once i have launch a Logic though a SSIS package ( BPC 5.1 ). But on the production system i don't have acces to the execution log. Is there a parameter i can change to have acces to this information ?
Kind regards,
DamienHi,
To have access to log of logic you need to have access to follow patch:
fileserver\C$\BPC\Data\Webfolder\YourAppset\YourApplication\Private Publication\Your User\
So you can check if you already have access there and in case if you don't have then you have to ask your IT to share Webfolder with only right access for your user or for everyone if more users would like to have this kind of access.
Any way usually if you run a DM package to run the logic you should be able to see the log directly into Log of the package.(you have there a section view script logic log).

Hide the expansion icon on a jtree.
I need to hide the expansion icon (the "+") on a jtree.
I tried to use DefaultTreeCellRenderer and the L&F options, but they hide all of the "+" icons of the tree. I need to hide the icons depending if the node has no-leaf icons.
Thanx.
pmadridbhi,
you can change the property of common section view attribute. which is default in month. if u use input date component , i think you can overcome your problem.. -
Tools menu palette names missing
I have a new copy of PSE 11 and the tools menu palette names on the left side of the screen are missing. I notice that some tutorials show the palette names and others do not. How do you turn these names on or off?
Thanks, harryjco40Yes, I'm in Expert Mode. It appears it's somethig to do with screen resolution - I've just found a possible answer at:
http://answers.oreilly.com/topic/3606-photoshop-elements-11-hints-and-tips/
"Adobe also redesigned the Tools panel in Elements 11. It's always two columns now, for one thing. Also, if your screen is tall enough, the tools are grouped into labeled sections: View, Select, Enhance, Draw, and Modify. (If your screen resolution is minimal for Elements, you won't see these section headings.)"
My laptop is a Toshiba with a resolution of 1366x768, so I think the vertical resolution might be the problem.
Thanks for your help. -
