Securing a 1.5 web service using J2EE security and JDev 11g
Hello,
I'm looking for a tutorial or similar that will help me create a secure (1.5 EE with annotations) web service. I'm interested in just the development view at this point - xml file mods, etc.
I did find a good resource on how to do this in 10.1:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/101/howtos/securews/index.html
and am wondering if it has been updated (even beta!) or in another form.
Thanks
Steve,
The WSDLBaseURL property just prepends a string to the WSDL URL property so that you can abstract out the protocol, server and port values separately depending on the target system you wish to hit for the service call.

Sam

Flex/ActionScript3 support for web services using WS-Security
Does Flex/ActionScript3 have support for connecting to a web
service using WS-Security (Policy Creation). I've tried using the
Flex Data Service "Import WSDL" method and it does not allow me to
connect. Is there Flex/AS3 package that can handle creating the
Policy information for a web service that utilizies WS-Security?
Thanks,
Tomquote:

Yes and no. The "Import WSDL" doesn't create AS3 classes that
allow header injection of the appropriate WS-Security elements.
I've managed to work around this using straight mx:webservice tags
and AS3. There is an open bug at
https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-15398
that I voted on, the more the merrier.
http://www.jroller.com/wookets/entry/ws_security_in_flex
Has a useful class for creating the soap header elements for a
username token,
In general though, it's been a challenge to get the simplest
of WS-Security pieces working.

How to call a secure external Web Service using Oracle BPEL and OWSM
Hi,
i have to invoke an external secure Web Service using SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, but i don´t know how to do this. Do i use OWSM gateway or Agent? how to configure the gateway or agent to pass the required security to the external secure web service.
thanks in advance
DongAre you getting any errors? What type of XAI Class are you using?
One thing I've noticed is that if you are making changes to the XAI Sender you will have to restart the environment before the changes can take effect.
Also, if you are using RTHTTPSNDR as XAI Class you may have to include the HTTP Method - Post in the context.
Hope this helps.

Certificate Issue in web services Using j2ee in oracle apps 11i
Hi all,
I am working with web services integration in oracle apps 11i. I used j2ee technology. I installed j2eesdk-1_4_03 and test with j2eetutorial. I have to integrate third party payment system with web services in oracle apps 11i. I run following commands in putty
build: asant build
packing: asant create-war
deploy: asant deploy-war
client java:
compile: asant build
run: asant run
While i run the "asant run" command, i got below the error
sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found
I added third party certification but i got same error which i mentioned above.
Is any certification or settings need for run the web services in ebs.
Thanks
Edited by: 910361 on Nov 1, 2012 7:09 AMHi,
I do the settings according to your advice, i got below error when i run below command to add certificate to keystore.
command:
keytool -import -keystore /usr/j2ee/jdk/jre/lib/security/cacerts -file /usr/Class3G2.cer
Error:
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Input not an X.509 certificate

Access Java SOAP based web service using WS Security
Hi,
I need to call a Java based SOAP webservice which has message level security enabled with Binary Token.
I have connected to the service using SOAPUI and below is the sample header for the same. I need to achieve the same in my Windows form application from where I am calling the SOAP service over https.
I am not an expert in WS Security. Need some tips or sample code to achieve this.

Consuming Web Service using WS-Security: USERNAME Token
Hi ABAP Experts,
we like to consume a self defined web service between to SAP systems (ECC6 701/006). Without any security settings the connection is successfully. But we like to setup a message security like USERNAME Token.
The wss profiles are already created by using TX: WSSPROFILE. Therefore we used the templates "SET_USERNAME" and "CHECK_USERNAME". The service user "DELAY_L<sid>" has been generated as well. The problem is in SOAMANAGER we can't find the related configuration (For Provider and Consumer) to set the parameters "PROFILE In" and "Profile Out" like it was in the obsolete TX "LPCONFIG".
Can anybody help me to find out how to configure USERNAME Token using SOAMANAGER.
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind regards

Web services using Ant, Axis2 and Jdk
Hi Experts,
I was able to deploy a web service locally using Ant, Axis2 and Jdk. Then I tried to create a stub using the command "%AXIS2_HOME%\bin\WSDL2Java -uri StockQuoteService.wsdl -d adb –o client" which generated an Stub and a handler. Now I have a pblm in creating the client program. Where shld the client pgm be placed and how to run it. Please help.
Thanks in Advance,
Sharmele.Anywhere you want. You create a project, since you use ANT you give it its own ANT build file and you put the generated stub classes as part of it like you would your own source files. Then you write the code to actually call the methods of the stub classes.
Note that if you generate class files, it might be better to generate source files in stead and simply compile them as part of your client application code. -
Build script for CXF web service using ant.
Hi, I am trying to build a CXF web service using ant. Does any one have a sample build script for it or steps (such as 1. build wsdl using java2wsdl task, 2. create a war etc.....) to follow to successfully build a web service using Apache CXF and ANT? Your help is greatly appreciated. I am using tomcat server and spring.
ThanksHi,

Security-role for java web services developed using j-developer 10.1.2.1
I have developed a java web service using j-developer 10.1.2.1, I have deployed this web service to oracle 10g (10.1.2.1) application server successfully. Now I want to add security-role to my web service deployment descriptor so that only a group of users that belong to a group can access my web service.
How can I do this? Can any one please let me know.
Thanks,
SC.Hi.
I suspect you have a proxy server between your localhost and the
drive-app1.drivesoftwaresolutions.com
Probably in Jdev that proxy is setup nicely in Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and Proxy
But maybe your OC4J container running BPEL on localhost does not have that proxy setup.
You need to add startup parameters to the JVM. In 10.1.3 you can do this via the "AS Control" administration pages (there is a link on the SOA suite welcome page). Go to JVM, click on the container and switch to the "Administration" tab.
The properties are proxySet, proxyHost, proxyPort and nonProxyHosts
When deploying from JDev, the compilation in JDev works fine (uses the proxy). But when the JAR is transferred to the server, it is compiled again. This fails because the proxy is not used on the server side and it cannot read the wsdl. -
Books and resources teaching J2EE 5 (and creating web services using it)
Hi!
I'm starting a new job next week, developing a J2EE 5 system. I have a solid background in J2SE 1.4 and know most of the new syntactical and semantic stuff in J2SE 5.
What I need is a good book teaching J2SE 5 to someone inexperienced with J2SE in general. There isn't a need for me to study J2SE 1.4 as we won't be using it. Also, we will develop some web services using the platform. As time is of the essence I'd prioritize learning about those within the platform, at first.
I don't need to read the entire book in one week, of course. But I need something to study and also have as a reference by my side when programming.
As the offerings in J2SE 5 books seems quite low, I need some advice from you, more experienced people. What book or web resource do you recommend? Thank you for your time reading this post!
Best Regards,
KentHello Kent!
I have found "Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0" by by Richard Monson-Haefel and Bill Burke really interesting. If you have some knowledge about Java EE in general go for it it's really good one! -
How to invoke a web service using https
Hi,
I have a few security related questions surrounding BPEL process manager.
1. Does the BPEL engine have the capability to invoke a web service using https (HTTP over SSL)? Does it automatically do that if partner link URI starts with https:// ?
2. If not, what needs to be done to enable accessing a https based web service?
3. I need to write a web service that accepts a message and updates certain information in the database. The web service will be deployed in an OC4J instance in Oracle App Server. We want to allow the web service to be accessed from BPEL only by users registered in the database. What is the recommended way to pass username and password to a webservice if service is invoked from BPEL process manager? Note that specifying username/password in bpel.xml is not an option.
Thanks,
Pranav1. Does the BPEL engine have the capability to invoke a web service using https (HTTP over SSL)? Does it automatically do that if partner link URI starts with https:// ?
We currently don't have support for HTTP over SSl. We are working on it to include this functionality in near future.
2. If not, what needs to be done to enable accessing a https based web service?
I am not sure it is possible with current product offering. I will confirm it after discussing with our concerned development group. There is some work going to integrate with Oblix security mechanism [recently acquired by Oracle].
3. I need to write a web service that accepts a message and updates certain information in the database. The web service will be deployed in an OC4J instance in Oracle App Server. This will be easier to do if we can use Oblix along with BPEL PM. Could you please let us know more about your application so that we can provide you the customized solution till it's part of the product. You can send this query to [email protected] so that our product management team can give you more detailed roadmap regarding this.

Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC) - Web Service using ABAP Proxy
Hi there
I am trying to consume a Web Service using ABAP Proxies. I have done the following in the system:
I configured the HTTP and HTTPS Proxy settings.
I created a package with package interfaces SAI_TOOLS and SAPPINT included under the Use Access tab.
I created the proxy classes by using the WSDL provided by the system I'm trying to interface with.
I created my HTTP destination RFC via SM59.
I configured a logical port for the proxy.
I developed the ABAP code for calling the proxy.
In the code the exception CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT gets raised with error message <b>"Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC)"</b> when I call the method for passing data to the destination system in the proxy class.
I had a look at SM21 and the following message was written in the log:
<b>"SOAP Runtime: SOAP Runtime exception: 111 occurred in method XP_READ_TAG of class CL_SOAP_XP at position 1
SOAP Runtime: Exception message: Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC)"</b>. I also looked at SAP Note 919886 which states that it can be dumps in the system, missing configuration or the path prefix of the RFC destination that is incorrect. I cannot find any ST22 entries. The trace file looks as follows:

It then must be something in the config. Has anyone got any idea why this message is encountered?
Kind Regards

Calling a web-service using JAX-WS client on the browser
Hi,
I created a basic web-service using netbeans/glassfish, which can be successfully called from a JavaFX application running stand-alone.
But when I try to run the same JavaFX application on a browser, the web-service call does not work, and it is hard to get any information on where it is failing.
I can see the error is a Throwable (not an Exception), but the message is null.
What are the restrictions on being able to call a webservice using the JAX-WS libraries? Are there security issues? I am not using the javafx HTTP libraries.
Also, if Java1.6u10 is available on the machine running the browser, do I still need to package all the JAX-WS libraries for the client?
Any help is appreciated, even if it is just about how to track down the problem.Thank you very much for responding.
There was no error due to WebService. Actually, I was using xmlbeans and I did not put those xmlbeans jar files into appropriate place. That is what caused the problem. I have solved it now and it is working fine.
I put those xmlbeans jar files into my war file. It is working. Earlier, I had put them in tomcat 5.5's shared/lib directory. It was not working.
Thank you once again for replying.

Creating Web Services using Java Implementation
Hi,
This is quite a general question on how to create a Web Service using Java Implementation that needs to conform to a client XML schema.
Here are my Version specs,
I am using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.4.0 and deploying onto OAS 10.1.3.
I will be creating a J2ee 1.4 (JAX-RPC) Web Service using Document/Wrapped style.
I have been provided an XML schema from the client which is quite complex.
Using a top-down approach, I can create my WSDL file and import the XML Schema for my type definitions.
The Web service aim is to accept some parameters and return some data from the Oracle Database. The
XML response from the web service must conform to the element, attribute definitions in the provided XML schema.
From a Java implementation approach, what is the best (simplest or quickest) way to retrieve data from the Oracle
tables and map each fields/column to the required XML output (defined in the XML schema).
I'm not too concerned with using Java to retrieve data from the Database, more with how I can map the data returned
to the required output. Can this mapping task be controlled within the Java program?
Thanks in advance.Hi,

Authenticating to weblogic web service using a client cert with webserver
I am trying to think of how to authenticate a client to a weblogic web service
using a client certificate. The wrinkle is that a Web Server (iis or whatever)
will be handling the ssl part and forwarding non-secure to weblogic. The cert
will still be accessable in the request using: HttpServletRequest req.getAttribute("javax.net.ssl.peer_certificates).
At this point it is not clear to me what I can do. When does CertAuthenticator
get called? Can I even use it? Will I have to write my own version of the weblogic.soap.server.servlet.StatelessBeanAdapter
class?
Any help will be appreciated, even explaining why it can't be done.
Thanks,
