Security info timed out...

I am using 'the new iPad' and I just update the new version iOS 6. When I want to dl apps from apps store, always pop out a security info something like entering 3 questions 3 answer.. I can't summit it successfully due to session timed out. How to summit it anyway? I tried lots of time and turned out the same outcome...

The security questions will not be ask again if you got it straighten out, only if you lose it.

  • All deployments reporting 'CI Version Info timed out'

    Hi guys,
I've had a recent development where all deployment monitoring is reporting 0% success all of a sudden.
Everything was working fine up until a few weeks ago, then I came in one morning and noticed all of my deployments were now reporting varying percentage of errors. Over time the success percent went all the way down to 0% for almost all deployments.
However, the actual deployments themselves are successful. As in the software is installed and logs report success.
Using the 'Application Infrastructure Errors' report, they are all now reporting 'CI Version Info Timed out'.
I've  followed so many threads on here suggesting redeployment, updating content, updating memberships of collections etc. I've had no luck at all.
If I look on an example client I see the DCMReporting log has a few errors of 'Failed to resolve version for scope xxxxxxxxx' and the CIDownloader log reports 'Failed to delete Instance Policy xxxxxx'
I haven't made any infrastructure changes to the actual SCCM build in quite a while, though I did restart the server recently.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Just wanted to leave an update for any future Google'rs.
I may have resolved the issue, I'm just now waiting but after an hour the success rates are climbing back up across the board. After looking through all of the CIxxxxxx.log files and identifying the applications reporting the xxxx - version not found, I
completely removed those apps and re-added them.
This seemed to work so far.
Even though I had previously done this and failed, there was actually multiple apps with this issue. So I had previously done this for 1-2 apps, and the issue still reoccured, which made me incorrectly assume that this wasn't related to the problem. Following
it through I readded another 2 applications and started to see the log files clear and the success rates rise.
Still no call as to what caused it?
For those experiencing this, check your CIAgent.log for the following (taken from the linked post)
    CIAgent.log
(The prod version of this app is "12", below you can see the TS was still using version "10"
    CIAgentJob({BB81C59E-0D68-4F80-8C26-F3672FDA6993}):
    CAgentJob::VersionInfoTimedOut for ModelName

    10 not available.
CCIInfo::SetError - Setting CI level error to (0x87d00314).
    <- this repeated many times
    VersionInfo ModelName=ScopeId_FBAD85CC-8425-4A82-9A2A-A69D6941A909/RequiredApplication_826f927c-b7b4-446b-9767-9e03529677ff,
    Version=10, IsVersionSpecific=TRUE timed out
I then used the following powershell command to generate a list of Display names and UID's:
    Get-CMDeployment | select SoftwareName, ModelName |Out-GridView
and just manually found the matching UID.
I then just manually removed all deployments and then the deployment type. Simply readded the deployment type and redeployed.
Hours later and seems to be on the mend. Hopefully by tomorrow everything will be back to normal.
Note: We did have a UPS failure a few weeks ago that took out power to the ESX cluster. I can't confirm for sure that this was related but it seems to have happened around the same time...

  • Security question timed out

I tried to download an app and asks for my security question answers correctly but says session timed out

Try doing it on your computer with iTunes and then sync to your iPad to see if it clears the problem.

  • App Store security questions keep timing out?

I am trying to download some new apps, and since I updated to IOS6 it keeps asking me to answer security questions and add an email, and every time I do, it says it has timed out no matter what I try?
    Any tricks or suggestions?

Try going on to iTunes on your laptop/PC or whatever it is on find the app you want to download. Download it. Then go on to your iPad find it on the App Store and download it on there. It seemed to work for me as i to have been having problems with timing out. Seems to bypass the extra security and timing out issue :)

  • On my new ipad 2, i cant download any app, each time i enter my App Id , it takes me where i have to enter 3 security info, then once finished it says " your session timed out, try again " !!!!

On my new ipad 2, i cant download any app, each time i enter my App Id , it takes me where i have to enter 3 security info, then once finished it says " your session timed out, try again " !!!!

Call apple. This happened to me in August when i bought mine. They will reset the 3 passwords.

  • Why does my session keep timing out, yet I've been on my account info less than a minute?

I switched computers and have authorized my new computer to use itunes and transfer my purchases, all that good stuff.
I had to change my e-mails because the old e-mail was no longer being used, so I changed that information and I'm wondering if that's why I'm encountering this problem:
When I try to check my account information it takes 3-7 times before it will take me to the page.
When I logged out and then back in it brings up a message saying:
    "Verification is required
Before you can make purchases, you must click OK, the verify your payment information."
    So then I click OK.
Then I put in my password and press Billing Info. After around 10 entries of my password it finally takes me to the page and then I press done after but then it says my session has timed out.
So I was given a gift card and put it into my account, which also took a million times to get to work because of my password confirmation prompt. Now when I go to download an album it asks me the basic "Are you sure?" and I say yes and then I have to add my password another million times, then it takes me to answer my security answers then I answer and once again it says my session has timed out. After not even a MINUTE of being on the page.
I'm just so frustrated! I haven't been on itunes because I haven't been using my ipod as often. Now there's this album I can finally buy and now I can't buy it because itunes is screwing up! I can't help but think it's because I changed my e-mail on the account, but I verified everything. And I'm pretty sure I did everything.
Anyway, anyone have an answer to this problem?

The update is several hundred megs
Which means it can't be done over 3G if you're trying it that way. And if your other internet connection isn't fast enough it will time out.
People have also had issues with their firewalls or anti virus software....the software detects the update file as a virus or malware (incorrectly of course) and blocks it. So you can also try disabling your firewall or anti virus and give it a try and see if that helps.

  • Session Timed Out & Billing Info Changed?

First of all, I received an iTunes Gift Card for my birthday, and every time I try to enter the code it says "Session Timeout. Your session has timed out. Please try this operation again from the beginning."
So I've tried almost everything I can think of. I've changed my password, I've closed it, I've restarted my system. No idea why it says this when I don't have any trouble accessing other parts of the store.
Then every time I login, it says my billing info has been changed outside of iTunes. I still log in, but it won't let me view my billing info and keeps telling me to enter my password to view my billing info. It NEVER actually takes me to view my billing info OR account info.
Any way to fix either of these problems?

I had this very same problem and racked my brain for
quite a while before I resolved it. The main problem
is that the computer clock was set wrong and the
secure site for iTunes would not allow for a log in.
To verify this is the problem in iTunes click on Help
and then Run Diagnostics...Make sure Network
Diagnostics is selected and then click Next. Once the
diagnostics is complete scroll all the way down the
following page and see if there is a message saying
something about your computers clock being set wrong
and it might make it unable to log in to the secure
    iTune site.
If you find that this is the case you will need to
fix your computers clock. To do this double click the
time on the bottom right of your computer screen.
Then you will need to click on the Internet Time tab.
You will need to click on the Update Now button BUT
BEFORE YOU DO THAT you will need to disable any 3rd
party firewall that you have installed such as
Zonealarm. If you do not you will likely get an error
message about synchronizing the time. If you are
using the Windows Firewall it shouldn't be a problem.
Once the firewall is disabled or closed click the
Update Now button. You should get a message that says
something like synchronize completed. Also check the
time zone to make sure you have it set right to your
    location.
This resolved my problem and hopefully it will fix
    yours!

This advice worked for me. I had to shut down all my firewalls, then update my time. Good to see that finally some advice that worked.
    Thanks

  • I have an itunes acct. on my PC, but itunes doesn't allow me on using that acct. info.  When I try to set up a new id on my ipad it says the session has timed out.

I have an itunes account on my PC and have downloaded Kindle and iBook with no problem, but when I try and use that acct id on my iPad the system says I cannot access the store.  However, when I try to create a new id the system comes up and tells me that I am from Canada, which is always nice to know in case I ever forget, and when I acknowledge that screen, it immediately tells me the session has timed out.  What am I doing wrong?  Willingly admit I am not at all knowledgable in the Apple world.  Thanks for any help you can give..

When I've had a similar problem, it was because I was accessing the iTunes store from a device I hadn't used before, such as when I upgraded from an iPad 1 to the iPad 2.  It was a little confusing to me until I figured it out.
All I had to do was use the ID of my existing account and play along with the iTunes store.  As I recall, it asked for my password twice, and the security code from the back of my credit card.  After that, downloads proceeded as before.

  • Cannot access iTunes Store - "connection timed out" or "secure connection failed" issues.

If you are having problems connecting to the iTunes Store to:
    (a)     activate a new iPod, iPhone or iPad; or
    (b)     re-activate an existing iPod. iPhone or iPad after upgrading the OS for the device,
then hopefully this article will assist.
It is assumed that have encountered the following problem. When you connect your device to your PC the device is recognised by iTunes, but the main window simply displays the name of the device (e.g. iPad). The progress bar at the top says "accessing the iTunes Store", but it stalls and eventually there is an error message saying something like "connection timed out".
There are a number of variants of this problem, but the common thread is that your device is unable to access the iTunes Store to authenticate a new device or after upgrading the OS on an existing device. The first recaction is to check that your Internet connection is ok and that that "itunes.exe" a not being blocked by your Windows or third party firewall settings, but the problem persists.
Having recently experienced this problem and scouring the Internet for a solution, I eventually solved it using the following approach:
    (a)     Check that you are connected to the Internet (i.e can browse the web).
    (b)     Open iTunes and choose "Run diagnostics" from the help menu and then select the "networking connectivity" option (uncheck the other options) and click "next" twice. A report will show the results with a "green" or "red" dot next to each item. You should see a "green" dot next to the first two items ("Network interfaces verified" and "Internet connection verified"). However there will probably be a "red" dot next to the third item "Secure link to iTunes Store verified".
The important thing to note is that a secure connection could not be established. This is an indication that your wireless security is the problem. It does not satisfy the security level expected by the iTunes Store. It seems that an unsecure connection or one using outdated encryption (such as WEP) is no longer sufficient for the iTunes Store. This may be why the problem has emerged with the most recent versions of iTunes. The now widely used wireless encryption standard WPA or WPA2 is expected.
So you need to check your router wireless security settings and, if you have a PC that uses a wireless connection to the router, make sure its settings  match. The following is a guide bearing in mind that there are many different types of routers and Windows OS.
    Router
TIP: If you have a wireless connection from your PC to your router, then check your PC wireless security options first to see that "WPA" or "WPA2" are available (see below) as it will be a pain to change your router settings only to discover that your PC does not have the same options.
    (a)     Most routers can be accessed using your web browser by typing in the router's address (e.g. http://192.186.1.1). If you don't know the address look at the mannual that came with your router as it will tell you how to do this.
    (b)     Once your browser displays the router interface you may be prompted for a username and password. These may be the default factory or ones that you have created previously. If the username or password has not been changed, but you don't remember of know what they are again go to the mannual that came with your router as it will have that information.
    (c)     Assuming that you are able to access your router interface, look for the "wireless" tab or menu and a sub-menu or option for the "security settings". They'll be there somewhere. Once you find the security options you can select the encryption level. As stated above, you should choose "WPA" or "WPA2". You will then be asked to create a network key which can be anything with the required number of letters and/or digits.
    (d)     Once your finished write the settings down (including the key) as you will need them for your PC if you have a wireless connection to the router. Save the changes (if prompted to do so) and re-boot your router.
    PC Wireless
    (a)     Again the appoach that you need to take will depend on your OS (XP, Vista or Windows 7), but generally speaking if you go to the "network" on your PC there will be the option to highlight it and right click or choose a "properties" item. I vaugely think this can be done in XP by right clicking the wireless icon in the taskbar and navigating to the dialogue box that shows your network. In Windows 7 you will need to go to the "Network and Sharing Center" and then choose "Manage wireless networks".
    (b)     At some point (sorry to be vauge) you will find the wireless network security options for your network. Select the same level of encrytion ("WPA" or "WPA2") and type in the same network key that you chose for your router. Save the changes and your wireless connection should come to life. If not then make sure that you have put in the correct settings before freaking out.
    Back to iTunes
Once you are connected to your router again (wirelessly or by lan), then plug in your device and open iTunes. As before it will try to access the iTunes Store, but hopefully you won't have any problem establishing a secure connection and you'll be up and running.
    Best of luck!

Something is still blocking iTunes, do you have any other firewall installed?
When you say you removed Norton, to you mean you uninstalled it. An uninstalled Norton security product can still bock iTunes as some of it is left behind.
Several people have found that using the Norton Removal Tool to remove all traces of Norton fixes this problem.
