Seeing two videos at the sametime

I would like to see two videos at one time or on one screen. I have watched the apple tutorials several times and still don't quite get what to do. Thank you.

The video in track one is black and does not play.
That sounds like an incompatiable video format is entered into the Timeline.
What type of video is it that won't play?
OR:
You can't see track one because only the highest track is visible when both are at full size.
Make the top track smaller as discussed to allow the underlying track to be revealed.
In Image + Wireframe mode you will see a number displayed in the the middle of the Canvas. This number indicates which track is active.

Is it possible to play two videos at the same time in Captivate 4

My idea is to create some e-learning material which shows a screencast of a powerpoint presentation and a video in the top left corner of the screen showing somebody presenting the slides.
Does anybody know if it is possible to do this with Captivate 4?
I know this functionality is provided in Adobe Director.
Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated

Hi Jay
Do you have the eLearning Suite? If so, you have Adobe Presenter available to you. If you don't, you should be able to download the Presenter installation file and evaluate it.
Presenter is an add in for PowerPoint. The neat thing about it is that it provides for a Table of Contents type of functionality as you see is configured in Captivate. But the twist with that is you are able to do something you cannot do in Captivate. You are able to insert videos inside the TOC area!

How to play two videos at the same time

Hi everyone!
Ok, so what I'm trying to do is basically play two videos, which are already saved on the computer, at the same time. I can get one video to play, but when i try to start another it just displays a blank screen.

HELLO AGAIN! I guess i post too soon....
So i modified my code and now the videos play together. Threads, sigh.
But the audio that comes with the video doesn't appear to be starting at the same time. And this problem I ASSURE you i have no clue how to handle. And yes i know, the two video audios will overlap, but this a test for heavens sake!

I am unable to see tutorial videos on the apple site due to a missing pug-in

I am trying to view the video tutorials on the Apple website, I can hear the sound but can't see the video, just the words "missing plug-in"! What am I missing and how do I get it?

Looking back at old discussions I found the answer. I turned off the Divx extensions in Safari>Preferences>Extensions and the Apple videos work! Thank you - you clever people!

How to see two video track & interchange them ?

I have some problem which is tedious.
You see, I have used 2 different camcorder to film the same scene but each from different angle.
I placed this video file on V1 and V2, one on top of each other. This way, of course, only V2 can be seen. So, whenever I want V1 to be seen, I adjust the Opacity of V2 down.
But adjusting this Opacity is tiring. Is there a way where I can see the content of both the video at the same time & select whichever I want (or for easier switching )?

Thanks Ian, this is one real handy effects to have ... but I have to budget left to get a FCP bcos I think if I buy the new 27" iMac at the end of this month, my wife would freak out !! Can I borrow that helmet of yours so that I can shield my head against the hammer ?

These are displayed in the Viewer. In my example below I have got 4 video tracks and the selected one is outlined in green.

Working with two videos in the timeline

So, I just picked up FCE, have been wanting it for a while and thought this would be a good opportunity. I recently shot a wedding for a friend. I used two cameras for the ceremony, one in the back and one in the front.
Now I would like to line up the two videos and transition back and forth between the two. Is this easily doable? It's a bear to get them synced, do i have to redo that every time I switch?

1. Place the video from the camera you'll use the most shots from on track V1.
2. Place the video from the other camera on track V2.
3. Double-click the video clip on V2 to load it into the Viewer window.
4. Click on the Motion tab.
5. Scale to about 45 or 50%.
6. Use the Center control to position the clip in one corner - you should now have a picture-in-picture effect.
7. Find a common point to sync the two clips in the Timeline. A photographer's flash is usually a good point. Place a clip marker in each clip at the sync point you've chosen.
8. Drag one clip so the two clip markers line up. It may help to zoom in on the Timeline to make sure they're lined up perfectly.
9. Once you have the two clips in sync, cut out the parts of the upper clip that you don't want to use.
10. When you're finished with the cutting, select all clips remaining on V2, right-click on one and select Remove Attributes->Basic Motion. All clips on V2 should now be full scale and centered.
11. While all clips on V2 are selected, drag them to track V1 while holding the Shift key.
12. Add transitions as needed.

Two videos in the same MediaView

ill try to explain my problem:
i have a code to make a player with 3 diferent videos. The problem is that i dont know how to change from one video to another. I have a "next" button, and in that button i do this:
            player.stop();

            central.getChildren().clear();
            player = new MediaPlayer(medias.get(objplaying));
            view = new MediaView(player);
            central.getChildren().add(view);
            System.out.println("Next: "+player.getStatus());
            player.play();What i do there is:
- Stop the player (which is a mediaplayer)
- erase all from the Pane central
- put in the player the new media with the new video
- Add the MediaView view to the pane and then play it.
It does works, but only sometimes, other times the video wont pass UKNOWN status. It does not happen in every video or always to the same video, happen sometimes.
I dont know if thats the way to change between videos, but i cant find an example how to do it

You will need to do roughly the following :
Install CAM on a host of your choice to manage the array.
Assign an IP address to the array using the serial management interface (or DHCP)
Register the Array's IP address with CAM.
Connect the Hosts fibre card(s) to the array host ports
Install the HBA drivers on the server you want to connect.
In CAM you will need to create initiators for the HBA ports. (Do you have a domain license or are you going to use the global domain?)
Create a host in CAM for the initiators.
Create a Virtual Disk
Create a Volume on the Virtual Disk
Map the volume to the host you defined before
You will also need multipathing software installed if you have more than one fibre connection from the host.

I have two videos on the same sd card. One will sync, the other won't. What gives?

Photo Stream does not do videos. For videos, you must import to your computer. You can use iPhoto to import them.

I downlooaded them both successfully to my ipad2 Videos App, the next time I synced the ipad the Movies title was erased and the remaing titles: Rentals Podcasts & Music Videos were left, what happed to the Movies title? There is a few events where I could see this happening...
It's possible if you computer is not authorized with your iTunes Store account it may not have transfered your purchases from the iPad to the computer. To check, Open iTunes> Select the "Store" menu along top of the program and select Authorize this computer. Sign in with your AppleID and password, this will make sure your computer is authorized for the future so you can transfer purchases from your device.

Several videos on the same xhtml page in a epub

hi, I tried to add two videos on the same xhtml page with the video tag in html5, when I open the ebook with iPad, I can see and watch the first video but not the following ones, there is just a space for the videos that is white like the background, no video player, nothing, is there a solution to fix that without creating a second xhtml page. thank you

How do I use two ipods with the same itunes programme?

I am new to everything about ipod / itunes and I'm sure my question must have been answered somewhere on this forum - but I can't find it.
I have recently bought an ipod for my wife and have of course installed itunes on my computer. So far I've put about a dozen CDs on without problem. I am now considering buying another ipod for myself, so how do I segregate her music from mine.
I don't want her music (as she doesn't want mine) going on to my ipod when I connect it.
Also how can I group several individual songs into one album?
