We are a growing marketing communications firm in Philadelphia that provides SharePoint consulting and development services to select clients and are in need of a SharePoint expert (independent contractor). The qualifications we are seeking are as
follows:
Proficient in SharePoint Customized Design Front-end Programming (ASPX (C#)/.NET 3.5/4/ LINQ; Ribbon Control Handling; Other SharePoint JS Handling)
Proficient in SharePoint XPath query and Ajax Programming with SharePoint Library (jQuery)
Proficient in XHTML/HTML 4.0/5 Programming with CSS 2/3
Experienced in SQL Server

Creating Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area.

Hi All,
I am trying to enter Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area, with requirement type VSE and I get the following error;
"Only stock requirements are allowed when planning at MRP area level".
I can enter at the Plant level with no problems.

The following is the excerpt from SAP [Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/81/470a58ddab11d1b55b0000e82de178/frameset.htm] I think you maintained a planning strategy in the MRP view (for the plant) which doesn't support VSE.
You can delete PIRs from an MRP area by deleting the MRP area number from the Creating Planned Independent Requirements screen and recompiling.
When you define the planning strategies and parameters in the material master, these parameters apply to the whole plant, including all the MRP areas within the plant: You cannot maintain the MRP areas separately.
The integration of the MRP area and the assignment of the MRP area in the sales order is supported only by a user exit in the sales and distribution user exit pool.
Sales orders with MRP areas are created irrespective of the availability check control group in the material master.
Customer order processing of production sales orders with the item category (account assignment Step E Single) is only maintained in the MRP area of the plant.
In Customizing and in the MRP area user exit, make sure that when transferring individual sales orders, only requirements types KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE are generated.
The following requirements types are valid for the MRP area: KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE.
You cannot plan with preliminary planning materials in the MRP area.
There is no planning strategy for the material segment of the MRP area.
The planning strategy for the material master segment of the plant is assigned to the material segment of the MRP area.
The consumption mode and the periods of adjustment are derived from the plant in the MRP area of the material master.
Only consumption customer requirements with planned independent requirements are allowed: VSF requirements with KSV and VSFB with KSV.

Open the PSE Editor, not the Organizer.
Enhance>Adjust Color>Remove Color Cast
If that does not fix it, you can post a picture here on the forum so that we may provide additional suggestions. To do that, use the camera icon at the top of the reply box.

SharePoint system generated IDs are not synchronous

Hi,
We've published InfoPath forms in document library 'A' and used default "ID" field of SharePoint to generate Request IDs for tickets.
As we add consequent documents(items) in library 'A', 'ID' is getting incremented properly i.e. 801, 802, 803. But sometimes, consequetive IDs generated as 815, 820, 824 even if the items/documents between them are not deleted.
Can anyone help me for the reason behind this.

Hello Kunal,
I am just thinking if this issue is related to multiple instances of form. Just try to add one more text field in form and populate item id on form load in that field. Then use this field in your rule instead of "max(i@d)+1".

Hi Vijay,
If you are installing Project Server on SharePoint farm, You need to start the service Project Application Service which would be available after you install project Server 2013.
For Project Server Reporting you need to start Excel service and Secure Store service.

I have a simple question. I connect to DataBase programmatically, using SqlConnection and Integrated Security in connection string. It works! But I cannot understand - which account credentials are used? My Windows account(under which I was logged
in) or NetworkService Account, or something else?
If I was logged in as FBA user in SharePoint - what in this case?

When you use integrated security = true it means the same as integrated security = SSPI and in this case the current Windows account credentials are used for authentication and if you set the integrated
security = false you have to provide UserName and Password . so for your question it uses the current windows account credentials.

If your code is executing on server in SharePoint (in webparts or features or application page). it will take the windows account of the server to connect to the database because all are executing on server not on client machine. your
login credentials has nothing to do with it.
Note: there are 2 authentication Windows Authentication and SQL Authentication so make sure that on database windows authentication is enabled (it will only work when windows authentication is enabled....

SCCM 2012 Application Catalog shows ALL advertised to a user independant of the OS they are using

Within SCCM 2007 if a package was to be made available only to the following platforms, it would only show up on those platforms... If a user was using Win XP and had a package meant ONLY for Win7 advertised to them, they would not see it.... It seems as
though in CM12, if a user has advertisements meant for XP, Win7, 64 bit, etc... everything appears in teh application catalog. I also understand that the software center is meant for application publishing and not for regular packages as they were in 2007...
Is there a way to make the packages meant for XP to only appear in the users catalog and NOT show the Win 7 packages?
As we are in the middle of a Win 7 migration, we need to manage this without a lot of work within AD...

In Configuration Manager 2012 packages and applications that are made available to users are always displayed in the Application Catalog, the platform requirement is not evaluated until the user actually tries to install the application then the requirements
are evaluated and the installation will not continue if there the requirements doesn't match the plattform.
Software Center will display all packages/programs and applications that are deployed as "available" to devices and not users. User targeted will always show up in the Application Catalog..

OBIEE & Sharepoint integration: GoURL parameters are in clear in ViewSource

Hi, we're integrating our OBIEE reports in MS-Sharepoint using the GoURL method. The only concern is that wehn running a "ViewSource" of the Sharepoint HTML page, we can see in clear the full OBIEE URL syntax which contains username,pwd,options... then one can copy/paste it and amend the parameters such as entering in Modify mode for a report... Is there a way to prevent this ? how to do ? rgds,frederic.

Philadelphia Area Hold Time

I called AT&T at 11:00 am and held for over 40 minutes then was disconnected. I have now been on hold for 38:40 and am still on hold. I don't care what the problem is, this is ridiculous.

Don't do that!
When you use a clock generated by combinatorial logic, you create a large skew between the source clock and the generated clock. This skew is a killer for hold time violations.
Inherently, there isn't a significant difference between V6 and the 7 series, but the delay of the BUFG grows as the size of the device, so a smaller device will have less hold time to fix than a larger device - the tools may be able to deal with it on a smaller device, but not on a larger one. You are also very much at the mercy of the place and route.
Furthermore, there is nothing that guarantees that the output of the LUT is glitch free - and a glitch on the clock line will mess up your logic.
The correct way to do this is to use a BUFGCE. Instead of generating the clock from the LUT, generate an enable instead (it generally needs to be generated one source clock earlier), and then use that as the CE for a BUFGCE. The BUFG (source clock) and BUFGCE (generated clock) are in parallel (see attached diagram) and hence have very little skew, so no hold time issues.
In your case (as opposed to the diagram) the CE generation is not a simple counter, but that is fine - any logic that can meet a one clock static timing path to the CE input is acceptable.

Format Issue Ch 246 Blue Highways in Philadelphia area

Ch 246 Blue Highways is shown in a reduced size, letter boxed on all four sides. Looks like the 4:3 SD video image is enclosed in a 16:9 frame and then placed in the transmitted 4:3 image. No other channel has this issue. This problem has existed for several months. If tis is a Verizon problem please fix. If not, please contact Blue Highways.

SharePoint 2013 - What are all requirement components for People Pickers to list, search, display, and assign users permission

Hi All
the past few months, I have been working with permission issues related to SharePoint 2013 site permission settings using People Pickers to list, search, display users to assign or check permission.
Our environment include multiple domains and few forests. Our SharePoint farm is installed on one domain but the good thing is our AD structure are configured to have all other domains and forests with 2 ways trusts with this domain so domain
users are authenticated and can access SharePoint just fine. Also SharePoint use default claim authentication.
The problem is People Picker is not display all domains user accounts when site owners need to assign permission. So to resolve the problem, I had provisioned
SA - User profile service and Import AD domain user accounts (one way) into Sharepoint.
I configured stsadm.exe -o setproperty -pn peoplepicker-searchadforests -pv
for all domains and forests (eventhough, as mentioned we do have 2 ways trust)
and sometime tried different query (user last name, domain\logonname, email address) if one is not showing.
With all that added, People Pickers seem to find and display user account for all domains now.
My question now is do UPS and all AD domains users need to be imported into SharePoint and STSadm configuration are required in order to have all domains user accounts to display in People Pickers so the site owners can
find them and assign permission when needed?
Please share your advices, comments as they are really valuable to me.

UPS and people pickers are virtually unrelated. The only connection between them is to do with caching and updating user names and emails if they change over time, or in other words not relevant to your situation.
To answer your question directly; Nope, you do not need to set up synchronisation connections to a domain to be able to pick up a person in a people picker. As you've seen you may need to run some STSADM commands to make sure they are checking the right
places.
