Segmentation in CRM 2007 (6.0) with AND/OR functionality

We have been trying to understand the new functionality in Segment Builder for using the new multi-filter functionality of AND and OR.  We know about the multiple filters and using them to u201Ccombineu201D results, but our question is specifically about using the AND functionality because it does not seem to be working (it works just like the OR functionality and we expected it to behave differently).  We have tried several scenarios and cannot see any difference in the results whether we use AND Across, AND Within, OR Across, OR Within.
So let me give a more specific example. Let's say I have two attributes, color and type. Color=Red, Blue, Green, White, Black; Type=Sport, Sedan, Truck, Van. Then I have the following assignments of the attributes: Red=Sally, Tom, Joe, and Dick; Truck=Bill, Tom, Sam, Debbie, and Joe.
If I use OR Across attributes, with Red and Truck, I will get those who have any color of Red OR those who have any type of Truck: Result is Sally, Tom, Joe, Dick, Bill, Sam, and Debbie.
If I use AND Across attributes, with Red and Truck, I should only get those who have a Red Truck: Result is Tom and Joe. However, what we have found in our testing is that we get the same result with AND Across attributes as we do with OR Across attributes.
How do we get just those who have both a Red color and a Truck type? Or is the AND functionality broken?  If I cannot get this result using the AND/OR functionality, how can i get this result in Segment Builder?
Also see this related Thread: Segment builder and/or functionality....
Thanks, Bryan

So, let me add the step to this that specifically is not working.  Let's add to this the fact that to the Material of Truck, there are attached Warranties and Service Contracts (Truck is part of an equipment master).  So, now I want all Red Trucks which have a Warranty expiring this month AND no Service Contract.  To further explain, the equipment master has a Type (Truck), and either a Warranty or Contract attached to it (either, both, or neither).  So I want to use the AND to identify Trucks that have no Warranty or and expiring one, AND Trucks that have no Service Contract.  I only want Trucks that meet both conditions at the same time.
In our testing, we have found that using the AND with the KEEP functionality it works in all cases EXCEPT when someone owns more than one Truck.  For example, lets say Bob owns two Trucks, one has no Warranty but a Service Contract, and the other Truck has a Warranty, but no Service Contract.  In this case, Bob should not show up in the Target Group because he does not own a Truck that has no Warranty AND no Service Contract.  However, because he shows up in the no Warranty target group for one Truck, and the no Service Contract target group for the other Truck, when you do a KEEP you get Bob in the final Target Group.  Is there any way to find just Trucks that have both no Warranty and no Service Contract?
Thanks, Bryan

  • Installation of CRM 2007 in Windows with oracle and cluster environment

    Dear Experts,
We are about to start the installation of CRM 2007 (ABAP+JAVA) with
Oracle 10g on Windows x64 in cluster environment. In the SAPINST dialog
box under High availability option, I could see installation options like ASCS
Instance, SCS Instance, First MSCS node, Database Instance, Additional
MSCS Node, Enqueue Replication Server, Central Instance and Dialog
    Instance.
I have gone through the installation guide. I have below queries
regarding the same. Can you please clarify the same
    1) Our requirement is we want to have an ACTIVE-ACTIVE cluster setup
with sap service running in Node A and Database running in Node B. Can
we have this setup in ABAP+JAVA setup
    2) Also,in the SAPINST dialog box as said above except last two
(Central and Dialoge instance) as per standard installation guide are
to be installed in shared drives as per the requirement. But, central
and dialog are said to be installed locally on any one node in MSCS or
in separate server. As per my understanding Dialog instance will be
used for load balancing which we do not require now. Hence I feel this
is optional in our case. Where as Central Instance I am not able to
understand why this option is for? Is it mandatory to be installed or optional. If
so, when I installed it in one of the MSCS node the incase of failover
how does it effect the system. As per my understanding ASCS and SCS
    comprise central instance.
Please clarify and thanks in advance.

  • CRM 2007 Service Contract Determinatio and returns/complaints

    Hi gurus,
I'm currently struggling to set up the contract determination for our CRM 2007 for complaints and returns. I have set the flag contract determination D or F (both did not work for my tests). as well in the transaction type customizing I have set und customizing header the determination to service contract.
According to SAP help the copy control needs to be set up as well? I did not quite understand yet why, but I maintained a copy control between my contract and my return.  Any special settings needed between my source contract and target return?
last step should be the copy control for item categories? I maintained both:
    - Define copy control for item categories
    - Define item category determination when copying
From my contract item category to my return item category.
But still I don't have any contract determination in my return.
    Any hints please?

    Hi Pepe,
thanks for your answer (points rewared). I managed to get it running for complaints before you answered. Now struggling to get it for our returns running as well.
I have a question for the copy control: What exactly has to be set up there? I guess I did for our complaints more then needed.
    1. Copy control from contract to complaint transaction type.
    2. copy control from contract item category to complaint item category
    3. Define item category while copying: done the same as in step 2.
any special settings to consider for step 2?

  • Functionality of CRM_WFM_SIS_BP in CRM 2007

    Hello All,
I have migrated my CRM 4.0 code to CRM 2007. In one of the function modules I am making call to CRM_WFM_SIS_BP_ORGS which belongs to function group CRM_WFM_SIS_BP...
Now this Function Group doesn't exist in CRM 2007. So is there any other function group which is providing similar functionality as this one??
If I want to copy these Standard Function Modules from old system to new as Z-Function modules, then will it be correct approach??
Please suggest the way out. Helpful answers will be greatly rewarded.
    Awaiting for replies.
    Regards,
    Amey

    Hello Amey,
I wouldn't copy the function modules to CRM 2007 because most probably underlying code doesn't work anymore as well.
However, I would look for functionality in the system doing the same thing. For example, it looks like the function module you mentioned is retrieving some organizational structure.
A search in SE37 with CRMORG and CRMGETORG* returned a bunch of promising function modules.

  • Add extra Business Objects to model CRM 2007: Web Client Records

    Hello,
Could anyone tell me how I can add more Reference Objects in Case Management?
I copied the model CRM 2007: Web Client Records and added a new node (with for example Business Object Service Order) just like product and installations (which are visible under the reference objects)
I created a new element type under SCMG_SP_CASE_RECORD --> Z_CRM_SPS_CASE_RECORD and in the customizing we attached the model to the case type under Case Management --> Extended Customizing --> Process Actions --> Assign Action Profile to Case Type.
Still the new Business Object in the model isn't visible under Case Management in de WebUI.
Could anyone tell me if I'm missing something or is there a config guide available how to add more business objects?
    Looking forward to your replies.

  • Geographic Information System (GIS) functions in SAP CRM 2007

    Dear all,
I am currently working on a SAP CRM 2007 implementation project that consists in replacing an old customer service application.
Currently this application is managing service technicians' territories with embedded GIS functions (it relies on latitude and longitude data to assign the closest technicians to a service order).
I would like to know if SAP CRM 2007 is covering the following:
    - GIS functions;
    - Ability to assign a technician based on this;
    - Ability to visually see the map and draw technician territory changes on it;
    - Ability to optimize technician route (mileage).
I cannot find insights about this in the SAP Help.
So, where can I find some details / documentation about this?
A third party tool would be necessary and also its integration to SAP CRM?
    Thanks for your help.
    Brice.

    Brice,
So basically I don't see this being out of the box functionality, however you could build something for this.
    1.  You need to store the geo co-ordinates for the customer on the customer master or be able to "bolt out for this".
    2.  Create a new "partner determination rule" that would make a call to the external system to propose a technician on the service order.
    3.  Have a punch out on the service order screen that links into a web like GIS application where you could visualize this and send change data back into the CRM service order.
Now if someone else knows that CRM 2007 can do what you described out of the box, I would love to see the demo.  We have a similiar requirement, where we need to keep track of the mapping, but no need to perform the routing logic.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Upgrade from CRM 2007 to CRM 7.0

    Hello
I have a quick question regarding upgrade possibility. CRM 2007 was installed with dual stack (ABAP & JAVA). Now SAP does not allow to install dual stack (see note 855534). This is the case for CRM 7.0 With fresh installation we need one system with ABAP and one with JAVA.
The question is : if I have dual stack and what to upgrade to the latest version, what happens? I have found information that for CRM upgrade with dual stack I need files from folder SAP CRM--> SAP CRM 7.0 / NW7.01.
Can we have CRM 7.0 with dual stack ?
Thank you in advance for your help

    Hello
We are now in the same question.
How do you solve the question?
Upgrade process finished with a dual stack or not?

  • Problem with the SAP menu in CRM 2007

    Hello all,
We just had a brand new installation of SAP CRM 2007 in our organization. As soon as I logged in I am puzzled to see that all the menus and menu paths won't show up.
    For example:
If I go in to Master data --> Business partner --> There is no menu path for Maintain Business partner etc.
Same is the case with Marketing, Sales and Service. I don't see any of the real menu paths for creating marketing projects, segment builder, sales order creation screen etc. All these components are missing.
I checked on SU01 regarding the roles assigned to me. There were none and the profile assigned to me says "Z_SAP_ALMOST_ALL" or something. I tried finding out the existing roles and am not sure about the options. I added the role for business partner in to my user ID, logged off and logged on and still nothing shows up.
The menu is still the same.

    Jack,
I'm going to be very polite here about this, but did you read the CRM master guide before your installation or any of the documentation on CRM 2007?
If you have read this you would have realized that the SAP GUI is no longer supported for most business user tasks in CRM according to OSS note 1118231.  In addition a search of this forum would have revealed this same answer.  That is why those transactions are removed from your menu.
SAP Easy Access CRM 2007 menu
In future please do a search before asking these types of questions.  I'm going to lock this thread as it duplicates a past thread and is a generally known CRM 2007 fact.
    Thank you,

  • Segment builder in CRM 2007

    Hello all!
I have a short question concerning the segment builder in CRM 2007:
is there only the Java Applet version? Because some functions I have in the GUI Segment Builder are missing there...
So do the users have to live with the reduced functionality?
    Thanks for your answers!
    Regards Anne

    Hi,
regarding the Flex-based Segment Builder: This information is not completely correct.
Yes, there is a Flex-based Segment Builder in CRM 7.0, but is only available for High Volume Segmentation which requires a TREX and provides only a subset of the functionality (e.g. no Product Segmentation, no Relationship Segmentation, only single Business Partners). For the complete Segmentation functionality, there is still the Java Applet in use in 7.0.
From CRM 7.0 EhP1 on the complete functionality will be merged in the Flex-based Segment Builder.

  • Vendor Number Range Conflict SAP ECC and CRM 2007

I need to load SAP ECC Vendor data from SAP to CRM and have setup most of the configuration as required. However I have an issue, the vendor number range used currently in our SAP system is already in use in our CRM system and has been for some time (for Prospects and Contacts).  What is the best approach to dealing with this issue...
My initial thought was to see if we could have two different numbers for the same vendor in ECC and SAP CRM
eg SAP Vendor "50000001" equates to CRM "VEN50000001"
Is such as approach supported?  Can you point me to the documentation that shows how such an approach could be implemented.  What approaches have others done to address similar issues?
    Thanks in advance
    Eddie
By the way we are on CRM 2007 sp4

    Hi Eddie,
SAP Note 1044637 - Customize Vendor Numbers
Implement the code present in the attachment. You can
change it according to your own requirements. The example code
suffixes 'VEND' before the first six digits of the vendor
number before it is downloaded to CRM.

  • Agent Inbox Enhancement with Z fields in CRM 2007

    Hi All,
I' m working in CRM 2007. i have a requirement to enhance the Agen inbox search criteria with the Z fields. i have enhanced the BOL structure with the z fields and did some design layer customizing to get the drop of this Z fields. now i need to know how will i enhance the Genil layer or class in order to get the results. in 7.0 it uses the Reporting framework. how should i do this? ASAp answers will help...
    Regards,
    Subhashini.T

    Hello,
We had exactly the same requirement on my project. And here is what we have done:
    1) Copy class CL_CRM_QUERYAUI_RUN_BTIL and change method READ_BUSINESS_TRANSACTIONS to add something like that after line 150 :
    WHEN OTHERS.
                IF   ls_param-name(1) = 'Z'.
                  DATA: lt_range TYPE CRMT_BSP_RANGE_TAB.
                  DATA: ls_range TYPE CRMT_BSP_RANGE.
                  REFRESH lt_range. CLEAR ls_range.
                  ls_range-sign = 'I'.
                  ls_range-option = 'EQ'.
                  ls_range-low = ls_param-value.
                  INSERT ls_range INTO TABLE lt_range.
                  CALL METHOD
                    cl_ex_crm_rf_search_eew=>if_ex_crm_rf_search_eew~extend_rf_query
                    EXPORTING
                      flt_val        = ls_param-name
                      it_range_value = lt_range
                    CHANGING
                      ct_quparts     = lt_query.
                ENDIF.
    ENDCASE.
    2) Assign your knew class to object BTQueryAUI in view CRMV_OBJ_BTIL (via SM30)
Now your search will take those Z fields into account...
    Kind regards,
    Nicolas.
