Select-Options and check box on Selection Screen

Hi Guru's,
I have to develop a webdynpro report(static). I have a combination of select options and checkboxes on the selection screen. Can you please help me how to design this static selection screen.

Hi Pradeep,
WDP ABAP does not directly provide the selection screen options as in ABAP programming.
You can achieve the selection screen functionality using the WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS component usage. Go through the WDP component WDR_TEST_SELECT_OPTIONS.

Select option and parameter.

I have select options and parameters in my selection screen. While extracting the data I am using both the select option and a parameter in where condition. But that select statement is not returning any data. Could any body tell me what might be the reason.

See this example code it works.

parameters p_carrid type spfli-carrid obligatory.
select-options s_connid for spfli-connid.
data itab type table of spfli with header line.

write: / itab-carrid,
           itab-connid.

Note : Dont leave blank for parameters because it take as space and when you select from table it is unsuccessful.

Creating List box and check box in structure

I have to include List box(Drop down) of lenght 20 and check box in a screen area.
The fields on screen are to be transported from structure CI_PROJ in table PROJ.
How can i Include List box and check box in my structure CI_PROJ.
Also wat data type is required

Hi,
For the list box if you have the data element along with the search help then you can use that dataelement. If you dont have search help at dataelement level then for the structure you have to assign a search help directly. If you dont have data element it self then domain's fixed values will be shown in the drop down. For the check box you have to use a data element with a domain having CHAR and length 1.
For the list box you will KEY and VALUES. Key is the one that is transfered to your program data and VALUE is the one that is shown to the user. You have to use the data element of your KEY for the list box.

Hi all,
 I have developed a report , which has a selection screen with one select-option , where i enter employee number and two radio buttons , one is for all workcentres and other one for active workcentre. so when i enter employee number and choose either of the radio button i wil get the output properly. the output displays , employee no, employee name , work centre and project of that employee . an employee may have many workcentres and a corresponding project for that work centre.
Now the Problem is , from the same report i need to add a option on the selection -screen , ( plz tell me whether to use radio button or check box and if it is radio button should i use it seperately or group it in the above two buttons.) .
so that when user selects the option , the control should go to transaction code CNR2, from where i can enter workcentre and in the next screen i have HR assigntment tab , after choosing that it will dsplay persons linked to the workcentre and there is a delete icon , from where i can delete the person.
The only thing is now to move / Navigate to the screen or go to transaction code CNR2 from the report or from the selection screen.

A radio button nor a checkbox should be used for navigation. I would suggest a COMMAND BUTTON.
Something like this:

I am trying to sync a playlist to my Nano, but when I click on the Music tab at the top, it will not allow me to select the option Selected Playlist, Artists, etc. I cannot un-check the Entire Music library option and check the Selected Artist - on

I have changed the Sync option to Manually sync, but that does not help.

There is a checkbox above those two options for how to sync. It says Sync Music; it enables automatic syncing. That box needs to be checked before you can select from the two options for how automatic syncing is performed.
NOTE: If the iPod is current set up to Manually manage music [and videos], checking that Sync Music box replaces its current content with content from your iTunes library, based on how automatic syncing is set up on that screen.
So, if your goal is to add ONE playlist to an iPod that is managed manually, you do not want to do this because iTunes will erase the iPod's current content and replace it with just that ONE selected playlist (and whatever else you select on that Music settings screen).
Instead, if the iPod currently uses the manual setting, you need to add playlists manually to the iPod (not use the automatic syncing setting). Please post back with more details about your situation.

Check box in selection screen !!!

I think this fucntion module needs to be used DD_SHLP_CALL_FROM_DYNP.If possibe try to screen debug using /H before pressing f1 for a field.

Search the web or help doco about the Captivate feature called Return to Quiz. It will do what you are looking for here according to your description. There's even a Youtube video from a year or two back that shows how it works.

We have a parameter and select option in Selection Screen, by using the parameter and select option in the select query, with out passing the any values to the Parameter and SO, how we will get the records?

Populate error message if not selected any of the check box in select scren

hi,
           I am working on a bdc program to upload selected fields, I have populated my 10 fields on selection screen. Given one check box for test run. If I have selected test run check box and not selected any of the field check boxes, it has to populate one error message message 'select atleast one field checkbox' and should stay on selection screen itself. I used 'S' and used message leave list-processing, but i need error message 'E' and populate message select on check box and do not go for process.

How to create a Select-option and a pushbutton together

I have defined a selection screen in my module pool program and I am including this screen in my Module pool Dynpro. Now, my problem is that if I write the following piece of code to define my selection screen, it gives me an error that "Error when generating the selection screen "1010" of report "ZTESTHIM_MOD" ".
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 1010 AS SUBSCREEN.
SELECT-OPTIONS: s_matnr FOR mara-matnr NO INTERVALS,
                s_matkl FOR mara-matkl NO INTERVALS,
                s_mtart FOR mara-mtart NO INTERVALS,
                s_ersda FOR mara-ersda NO INTERVALS.
SELECTION-SCREEN PUSHBUTTON 10(5) pubu USER-COMMAND test.

Please help me whats the reason for this.
Also, if I define the select-options within a block and pushbutton outside it, the code is working fine.
The problem is that I want a select-option and a pushbutton in the same line.
Please help me out.

Hi,
You have declared so many select options in one line and also you want to include a push button in the same line, this is not possible.
Since the visible lenght of the line is less than the number of fields you want to display this will not be possible.
What you can do is instead group then using
SELECTIOn-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b1.
here use lines
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b1

RANGES: Declare an internal table with the same structure as in select-options, but without linking it to a selection screen.
