Select Scanner in 9 Pro

I have just got a new scanner CanoScan Lide 110 previously I was using a HP C4585 multifunction which worked fine. When I try and scan to .pdf Acrobat now says it cant find the selected scanner. How do you tell Acrobat which scanner to use?

Can you try the following steps once.
1. Download TWACKER (Twack_32.msi) from http://www.twain.org/downloads.shtm
2. Install it.
3. Go to <Program files>\TWAIN Working Group\Twacker 32 and invoke Twack_32.exe.
4. Go to File menu > Select Source.
5. Select the TWAIN driver (not the WIA driver) for CanoScan Lide 110 and Click OK.
6. Now, invoke File > Acquire menu.
7. What happens? Do this work?

Selected Scanner Was Not Found

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, and Acrobat 9 pro. I have a HP Scanjet 7650 on my desk, hooked up to my laptop via usb cable. I have been scanning for over a year, no problem. Today, when I got to work, I tried to scan something and it gives me this error: Error while interacting with the scanner; the selected scanner was not found. I have tried the Twain, WIA, Native Interface, non native interface, presets, custom. every option and combination and it gives me the same error. I unplugged the cables, reinstalled HP drivers, I reinstalled Acrobat. It works fine if I right click on the scanner from the devices/printers box and click on 'scan'. it just won't work with Acrobat.

I deleted and reinstalled the twain drivers two or three times and it finally started working today with acrobat 9

Whenever I try to scan in Adobe Acrobat I ger the error "The selected scanner was not found" However I can scan from within either hte Windows Fax and Scan and the Brother Control Center (The scanner is a Brother MFC 8480DN) I did a repair installation of Adobe Acrobat but no change.

Read the user manual that came w/the printer/scanner, contact Epson to see if you need to update your scanner drivers to work in Mavericks also check Software Update. Check out the following links:

MX410 Acrobat Error Selected Scanner not Found

Acrobat VI used to work with my MX410. Cannot scan using Acrobat anymore "selected scanner not found". Removed and reinstalled Acrobat and Canon driver/software, even put the path to the twain_32 driver in enviroment PATH, still the same error using MX410 and MX410 WIA for scanning.

When trying to scan in Acrobat X I get the error selected scanner not found. I can't find where to set the default scanner. Configure Presets under Create PDF from scanner won't let me save anything. I'm assuming that that is the place to select the scanner.

I have just upgraded from Tiger (OS 10.4) on my PowerMac G4
to Leopard (OS 10.5) on a new iMac. I downloaded the current driver
for my Epson 1640SU and installed it. I also set Adobe Photoshop
CS3 to open with Rosetta (in Get Info window). CS3 works fine with
the scanner--cool! HOWEVER, when I use Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, and try
to create a pdf file from the scanner (by pulling down the File
menu to "Create PDF" and then "From Scanner", the window does not
give me any scanner selections to choose from. Can you assist??

HP psc 1315 not detected as scanner on MacBook Pro Mac OSX 10.8.2

I just got a new MacBook Pro in September. I have the newest Software update Mac OS X Version 10.8.2, and I am attempting to scan from my hp psc 1315 all-in-one printer-scanner-copier to this computer. I am using the USB connector that came stock with the hp device. Initially, I tried just pressing the blue "Scan" button on the scanner, nothing more than a flashing On/Resume light occurred. I tried searching for drivers, but discovered that supposedly none should be needed, therefore none are available. I searched hp's forums and support with no luck, and even called 1-800-MyApple which referred me back to hp, rightfully, and sent me an e-mail with recommended articles, which proved unhelpful.
I have tried all three methods of accessing the device to scan recommended by hp troubleshooting: System Preferences>Print & Scan, Applications>Image Capture, and Applications>Preview>File>Import from Scanner.
System Preferences>Print & Scan: In tutorials I have reviewed, when you select the printer in this menu, you should see a "Scan" button on the top-right, but I don't
Applications>Image Capture: "No camera or scanner is connected" appears on the screen when I open this program.
Applications>Preview>File>Import from Scanner: The "Import from Scanner..." option appears grey and cannot be selected.
In one of the forums I consulted, someone had recommended using a third-party app called VueScan, and while it worked just fine, it will either watermark your scans all over or ask you to purchase the full version.
(This application was not available in the app store, but I downloaded it from http://www.hamrick.com).
While I appreciate that the program exists, I find it absurd that I have not come across a better option than paying $39.95 to use a scanner that I already own with a computer that I already own.
I should add that the hp psc 1315 is fully operational as a printer with from my MacBook Pro, and as a copier in general. I just need to scan some documents, and am currently very frustrated. Any help would be much appreciated.

I afraid that your printer is too old and no longer fully supported.
As you may find listed below already since Mac OS X 10.5 scan is no longer supported for your product:

I afraid your only options are using a 3rd party solution as Vuescan or replacing your device.

Creating PDF from scanner with Acrobat Pro 10

Hello, I'm trying to scan a document into pdf using acrobat pro 10. Whatever selection I make I always get the dialog message "scanning cancelled"! Does anybody have a clue what is going on here.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits.
I also have multiple scanning devices available but it makes no difference which one I select.

Use the software that came with the scanner, save as TIF, then use Acrobat to convert the TIF to PDF

Epson 1670 Scanner & Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.3.3

I'm having trouble using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.3.3 in OS 10.6.4 with an Epson Perfection 1670 scanner. The scanner works fine when I'm using the EPSON Scan software, but the Acrobat application doesn't see or can't communicate with the Epson. Anyone know anything about this?

Combining Word Documents - Selecting Pages - Acrobat X Pro

Hi,
I am hoping someone can tell me where I can find the setting to be able to do the following action,
When combining different types of files, I get different behaviour for selecting pages, i.e. the "Preview and Select Page Range" dialog,
e.g. for a pdf file, in the preview pane, I can navigate through the pages with the buttons at the bottom,
However, when I try to select the pages in a word, powerpoint etc. document I get a different behaviour,
As you can see, there are no navigate buttons. The preview also appears to be in "outline" mode, i.e. doesn't show page gaps. Just a continuous preview of the document. This makes it very difficult to actually choose which pages to combine without having to open the document itself and determine the pages I want, i.e. defeating the purpose of having a preview pane at all.
I had a trial version of Acrobat X Pro, but then we got the full version. I am sure that in the trial version I had the navigate buttons, or at least got the page breaks shown.
Is there a setting that might have changed?
What could be going on?

Hi Bill,
Yeah, that is my current work around. I open the word document separately, find the pages that I want to combine and enter those into the Acrobat X dialogue box.
However, that sorta defeats the purpose of having the preview and select pages dialogue box in Acrobat!!
Futhermore, I am sure it worked in the trial version I had before. So I have a feeling it is a setting somewhere that just needs to be turned on/off.
