Selection of Infoobject

Hello,
in update rule PPROC_RU_TARGET_VALUE for InfoCube PPROCTSC
I want to assign the InfoObjects in the cube to the ones in the update rule. This I can't do because I cannot see the proper InfoObjects in the update rule for selection . Can you help me, please? Thank you in advance,

Hi Anita,
Th possiblity is that the technical name of the field you are refering is from R/3 or some other source system. You would have assigned that to a info-object in the transfer structure. Use that info-object to map it.
Also, how was the update rule created - based on an info-source OR based on Cube/ODS.

Choudhary S was right.
İ have notified the SAP about this issue..they wrote me below note :
As SAP tables have no concept for NULL, we
have to restrict this condition to not allow excluding condition to be
used any more. But alternatively, you could use including to replace it.
Please check my last reply to see the detailed reason for it, and
this explaination is from our development colleagues.
For this note 1435772, you could also see why this error message
arises.
So, they said it is not possible in case of left outer join after those patches.
i just used include to replace that exluding condition.it takes little time but the problem is solving.

Selection for infoobject with TEXT

Hi All,
I have an infoobject ZCustomer which is having a navigational attribute 'ZROLE' which may have concatenated text value. eg., LOC_INT or INT or LOC_PIC.
Now i have to keep selection/filter to the report where user should have a selection option/drop down with values 'LOC', 'INT' and 'PIC'. If the user select the value 'INT' then i should show the report for only 'LOC_INT' and 'INT'.
To say shortly its like contains pattern in the abap.
so for the above user selection, which ever the customer's attribute value has the string INT only should be dispalyed in the report.
Note: I can use WAD reports if needed. The list of values 'LOC', 'INT' and 'PIC' can be the static list we maintatin for the user to select. bcoz i dont have any particular infoobject with these values.

Hi Karthik,
You can use the standard selection option variable and ask the users to enter the wild character before and after the input value.
For example, if the user enters 'INT' , then report output would show all values which has 'INT'.
However, the users would be seeing all the values in the master data or posted values in the transaction data ( as per the setting ) and not customised values as per your requirement.

Selection for (InfoObject only date) cannot be uniquely assigned in RRI

Hello,
I have created RRI using 6 queryies. When i do jump from sender to receiver, i found the warning messages for two date fields saying that Selection for ZORAPLIC cannot be uniquely assigned and Selection for ZOR_CREAT cannot be uniquely assigned. ZORAPLIC & ZOR_CREAT are two date fields. I have supressed all messages in RSRT also.
Please help me on this.

I do have a user exit to fill in a text variable and even though we modified the ABAP code for it, it still doesn't work
But if you tell me that the "Selection for [variable] cannot be uniquely assigned" problem comes from the user exit problem, we'll try to fix this one first.

Duplicate records in Infoobject

Hi gurus,
While loading in to a infoobject itz throwing an error as 150 Duplicate records are found in the details tab. My doubt is about temporary correction i.e in the infopackage either we can increase the error handling number and load or we can five the third option(valid records update) and update to infoobject.
My question is when error occurs i can find that that some records are there in added. After the error occured i forced the request to red(Delta) and deleted it and gave 3rd option(valid records update) and updated to infoobject. The load was successful all the records are transferred but in added the number of records is 0.And also i read in one article that the error records will be stored as seperate request in PSA even i cannot find that. I want to know when or how i will get the news records added.

If its only Infoobject,then under processing tab select only PSA and check the first option.After this relrun the infopackge.Go to monitor and see whether u got the same no of records including duplicates.After this follow the below steps,
1.Go to RSRV- tcode, expand Master data and double click on second option.
2.Click on the option that is present on right side of the panel. A pop-up window will appear and give the name of the infobject that is failed.
3.select that particular infoobject and click on Delete button,
if necessary then save it and click on execute----do this action only if necessary. Usually by deleting , the problem will be resolved. So, after clicking on Delete button, go back to the monitor screen and process the data packet manually by clicking on the wheel button.
4.Select the request and click on the read manually button (wheel button).
Dont forget to save the infopackge back by selecting only infoobject.

Error when trying to make an infoobject "Authorization Relevant"

We are getting the following message in German when we try to make an infoobject - 0PERS_AREA "Authorization Relevant" (using RSD1), Can anybody help us in translation of this nmessage and possile remedy. In fact, I tried other infoobjects as well lke 0ORGUNIT, 0EMPLOYEE, etc with the same message.
"InfoObject 0PERS_AREA: Keine Berechtigung, um die

You should do first this :
1. Goto RSA1->Click on Infoobjects->Select ur Infoobject(0PERS_AREA )-> rightclick->select Change It will give Change Characteristic screen in this screen-> click on Business Explorer Tabstrip observe in general settings vey below ur having one check box for " AuthorizationRelavent"-> check that check box --->save +Activte.
next u have to follow these steps :
1.before going to authorizations u have to decide on which Infoobject u have to apply authorizations.
EX: SD--- Sales Org, MM -> palnt ,purorg,FI> companycode.
first u ahve to decide which area & on which Infoobject.
2.goto that Infoobject --> change there check the checkbox Authorization relavent object cahechbox
2.after that U Have to goto RSSM there u have to create authorization object
Ex: Zxxx ( XXX is Infoobject Name ).
3. In the same transaction Screen u have Infocube selection radio Button check that then select on which cube(cube means under that cube all Quaries) u have to make authorization for that perticuler Infoobject.
4.next goto PFCG create role & save it
5.goto Authorization tab in that selct edit authorization it will give automatiaclly authorization Templates in that u have to select only S_RS_RREPU & press Enter.
6. Select manual pushbutton it will ask authorisation object enter ur authorization object what u have created ( zxxx) .
7.click generate +enter
8. goto user tab Enter userId+enter + click on usercomparision+ enter
9.save the role.
FOR HIRARCHIES:
1. goto RSSM There u have one rediobutton called authorization hierarchy ( this radio button is very below the RSSM screen)
2. there u have to select Hierachy on which u have to apply authorization.

Hi,
dimensions:
first you have to determine the number range object sing function module: RSD_CUBE_GET in transaction SE37. Enter the name of the infocube in the field I_INFOCUBE, 'A' in I_OBJVERS and 'X' in I_BYPASS_BUFFER.
Select the E_T_DIME. In the following screen the column NOOBJECT will contain the number range object. The dimension tables start with BID* and the master data table with BIM*.
Start transaction SNRO. Enter the number range object in the field object. In the next screen choose the menu item Edit -> Set-up buffering -> Main Memory. After choosing you can the number of numbers in the field No. of numbers in buffer.
infoobjects:
Select the infoobject. Choose menu item Extra -> Number range object. Then you can either choose For SID or For Hierarchies.

Delta from infoobject to cube

Hi All,
I need to load a cube from an infoobject. I know it is a wierd requirement. But if i create a transformation from infoobject to cube, is it possible to have a delta load from an infoobject to cube using transformation ?

Hi,
Yes, this is possible. What you should do is:
Select the InfoObject. Right mouse click and select Additional Functions -> Generate Export DataSource
Go to datasources and select the material datasource. Right mouse click and choose Create Transformation and choose the InfoCube as target. Create the rest of the rules.
Go to infoproviders and select the InfoCube. Right mouse click and select Create Data Transfer Process. On this screen you can choose Delta.

QUERY - Creating InfoObject Catalog

Hi,
I am new to BW as well as Group.
When I am trying to Create InfoObject Catalog, it is saying Template Not Set (Select using Pushbuttons)
I don't know what does it mean. Please help me out.
Procedure which I am following
Right Click on InfoObject (iademo) -> Select Create InfoObject Catalog -> In Edit InfoObject Catalog Dilogue box Iam giving InfoObjCat, Short Test and InfoObject Type as Char -> Click on Create ->
In Template area I am getting a msg Not Set (Select using Pushbuttons)
I don't understand wether my approach is wrong or is there any software problem.
Please help me out.

To create a Infoobjcatalog follow this stpes,
RSA1 -->Create Info Area
Click Info objects>choose Info Area> Right click to create Info object catalog(Char) , Give Technical name and Description and continue ---> Activate it
Like wise create IOC for Keyfigure also

Data loads into multiple InfoObjects from 0EHS_PHRASE_TEXT DataSource.

Dear Experts,
I am working on SAP HCM-BW 7.0 Implementation and am trying to load data into 8 different InfoObjects (Texts) through 0EHS_PHRASE_TEXT (Phrases) extractor.
There are many InfoPackages in place created during the previous project loading into different set of Standard BCT InfoObjects.
After migrating the 0EHS_PHRASE_TEXT DataSource from 3.x to 7.0 version, I have created different InfoObjects with Transformations and DTPs upon business requirements to load them. The relevant data is available in 0EHS_PHRASE_TEXT when checked in Extractor Checker (RSA3). However, when I create InfoPackages to load these different InfoObjects, I don't see the Data Targets listed and it makes sense since the data is first loaded into PSA and then will be loaded into Data Targets (in this case InfoObjects with Text) using DTPs.
My concern is... when I create a Process Chain to load Master Data into these Objects, the following action is happening:
1. Load 10 Records into PSA and then into InfoObject A. All 10 Records are loaded into A.
2. Load 5 Records into PSA and then into InfoObject B. Previous 10 + New 5 Records are loaded into B.
3. and it continues... for 8 InfoObjects.
My question is... is there are way that I can see the corresponding Data Target tab in InfoPackages so the Data is immediately picked from PSA of 0EHS_PHRASE_TEXT DataSource and then loaded into the corresponding InfoObjects.
Or should I make use of Transfer Rules by Re-storing the 0EHS_PHRASE_TEXT DataSource from 7.0 to 3.x version...!!

Thanks for replying and sorry for the confusion.
The extractor is delivering 10 and then 5 because of different selection parameters in the InfoPackage "selecting" which InfoObject I wish to load the texts for.
Your understanding of my requirements is correct.
Could you please elaborate Option 1 bit more..!
Regarding your Option 2, I don't want the DTPs to extract directly in full from the datasource because by doing so, all the data apart from the relevant data is also loaded into each and every InfoObject. And I don't want that to happen. I want to load only relevant data into respective InfoObjects from the PSA using DTPs.
I have tried to setup filters in DTPs with different Selection Parameters and tried to load relevant InfoObjects. For example, I am trying to load ZEHS_SUBS InfoObject with EHS_INJ_SUB_SUBSTANCE as the Selection Parameter. There are 54 records in both Source System and PSA for this parameter.
And the request is showing 54 in Transferred Records but only the very last 1 in Added Records. When I check in the Target (ZEHS_SUBS) InfoObject, it is showing only 1 Record. I have tried many combinations. They are:
1. Loaded only EHS_INJ_SUB_SUBSTANCE data from Source System into PSA and then tried to execute the relevant DTP.
2. Checked the 'Do Not Extract from PSA but Access Data Source (for Small Amounts of Data) and tried it.
3. Tried with both Delta and Full Extraction Mode.
4. Set Filter on Single Value as 'EHS_INJ_SUB_SUBSTANCE' to extract this data only.
5. Set Filter Excluding all the other Single Values.
6. Checked the 'Handle Duplicate Record Keys'.
Still only the last 1 records out of 54 is showing up in the Target InfoObject.
Please let me know if you have any idea as to why this is happening so.

How to delete an Hierarchy in the Infoobject

Hi Guys,
i made an Hierarchy manually in the Infoobject "X" for example,
when i made the hierarchy with the values that i needed, the system create another node to the values not selected in my Hierarchy, in the query i selected the Infoobject X with the hierarchy that i made, the problem is when i want to navigate and click the Infoobject to drilldown, appears like Option the Hierarchy that i made and the NODE of the values out of my hierarchy, here the client doesnt want to see that NODE when he is navigating, just the hierarchy that i made because it´s confused for the client,
i want to delete this Node, but doesnt appear in the infoobject, its like something internal of the infoobject that it create
how can i delete it or do something that hide it when is navigating in the report??

Hi Jorge,
one option is avaialable in BW Administrator workbench, (RSA1).
select your hierarchy from infoobjects or directly from RSA1 Screen, by clicking on Hierarchy button,
in hierachy screen, if in display mode, chnage to Change mode and click on hierarchy Attributes button and and enable check box 'Suppress "unassigned node'. this is stop displaying Not assigned values in report.

Is there anyway to do a mass InfoObject activation?

After installing some ODS, we've found that in the InfoObjects view on RSA1, there are many green color (activated) InfoObjects and also many gray color (unactivated) InfoObjects. Yes, we can double click the unactivated InfoObject and activate it and it does work and the color turns green. But if we do this one by one manually, there are so many that we can't afford the time. Is there anyway and we can conduct a mass activation for these unactivated InfoObjects?

On 1st screen of RSD1, there are quite a few radio selections:
1. InfoObject (single)
Or Several InfoObjects
1. All InfoObjects
2. Free Selection of InfoObjects
3. All InfoObjects of a Data Target
4. InfoObjects not Used in Data Targets
5. All InfoObjects of an InfoObject Catelog
Which one I need to pick? I picked "All InfoObjects", then click Maintain button to get to the next screen, it lists all InfoObjects, can't find any button or menu to pick only unactivated InfoObjects to activate.

In BI-7 with the help of Infopackagewe can load data from sorce system to PSA.and with the help of transfomations and DTP data can be transfered from PSA to Infoobject.
->First select the data source and click on green check mark
->Create Infopackage for this data source
->Execute Infopackage(now data goes from sorce system to PSA)
->Now we need to create transformations for this data source
->right click on data source select create transformations and give the data target name map the transformations and activate the transformation object.
->select the Infoobject ->right click->select DTP
->select the green check mark and activate DTP.
->From the execute tab click on execute

Bex report on Multi Provider Long Text issue

Hi All,
I have a report that running on a multiprovider and I have a field that I use as a selection parameter. I changed the settings for this field's info object settings to "long text" to see long description in the pop up search window. However setting change worked for all the other reports that are running on cubes and DSO s but I still see short description when I run the multiprovider report.
Is there any settings need to be changed for multiproviders to see long desc. ?
I apprciate any help with points

I am creating a Multiprovider by using 3 cubes. while i am activating the multiprovider its throwing Error as "Assignments for InfoObject "xyz" have not yet been maintained -> Long text"
for all the infoobjects which r present in the multiprovider

Did you selected that infoobject under identify charactristic or select keyfigure in the multiprovider?
If not select the check for that InfoObject depend on charactristic or keyfigure and then try to activate.
