Hi,
I dont understand the relationship between cheating and solving these companies exam preparation kits.If you do not understand do not use these companies, go through the links below.
Many people on the world who has OCA -OCP were studied with these packs. How people know where do they for taking exam?If you have specific information please report to Oracle fraud reporting. Goto [Cheating part seven|http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2008/12/cheating_part_7_what_can_you_a.html] and there is a link to Oracle fraud reporting where specific instances of cheating should be reported (not general cases).
I studied on 2 books for sql fundementals I exam..I finished all the topics and i want to test myself?Well done. You dont say what the books were, but the more obvious ones you might have used some come with quite a lot of test questions in the book and on cdrom which are fairly realistic.
Oracle supply any sample exam questions for these exams? I want to see question types?on oracle web site i found sample exam questiosn part while searching on google.but i think that this page removed. When i click the link it redirects me to oracle university page.......
As part of your study process you should be becoming familiar with the layout and what information is available on the oracle website and how to navigate the oracle website. It may be difficult to work effectively without knowing this. In the meanwhile try these links:
(1) [http://education.oracle.com/] - then goto 'Certification' from the left hand menu ... you should end up at (2)
(2) [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=39]
From Here you can go:
(2a) Top Menu - 'Exams- Practice Tests' [http://www.oracle.com/global/us/education/certification/sts.html]
- You can get authorized practice tests from here
(2b) Top Menu - 'Exams- List All Exams:' [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=42]
From Here you can get to
For 1z0-051 [http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_org_id=28&lang=US&p_exam_id=1Z0_051]
which gives a link to sample questions:
(2c) The process for 1z0-052 is the same as 1z0-053.

  • 1z0-053 - Doubtful question/answer in Transcender preparation kit

    Hello,
I purchased the exam preparation  kit and I'm confused about a correct answer.
    http://www.transcender.com/practice-exam/oracle/1z0-053.kap
It's in regard to the Flashback Database procedure, it states that we must use STARTUP MOUNT EXCLUSIVE rather thant STARTUP MOUNT.
Going into 11gR2 documentation, it's never stated to do STARTUP MOUNT EXCLUSIVE, but simply STARTUP MOUNT.
Link: Performing Flashback and Database Point-in-Time Recovery
Here is the  screenshot of the exam question and correct answer.
I read at some places that the STARTUP MOUNT EXCLUSIVE is deprecated and the simple STARTUP MOUNT is the way to go unless explicitly stated.
Is my answer is OK? Is the suggested answer OK?
If both valid and I see this kind of dualities in the official exam, should I prefer the simple STARTUP MOUNT rather than the EXCLUSIVE way?
    Thanks
    Bruno

The documentation beats third-party materials every time -- even Kaplan materials, which are generally quite good.
You are extremely unlikely to find an ambivalent question like this in an exam that has been around as long as 1Z0-053.  In beta exams or tests that have recently come out of beta perhaps.  Ones that have been in place for years should have resolved any such problems.

  • OCA sucess kit

    HI All,
This is my first post on this certification forum.
To be frank the certification Shipment service that oracle provides to people is very disappointing to the young and new developers.
It has been more than 8 weeks since i have given my exam. I was planning to go through OCP Advance Pl sql but i am not able to concentrate on my preparation for that as i have not yet received my OCA Certificate. I have been asked to submit my OCA certificate in the Company where i work. But even i dont know when can i submit my certificate as even i have not received it.
i will tell you the series of incidents
    I contacted Oracle India on Local: 1800 103 4775 Intl: +91 80 4108 4709 numbers
I was told to contact Mumbai branch 022-67711214
and than there i was told to contact NIIT(pune)
and then from there i was told to contact Pearson Vue
and now i am again told to contact Oracle.
As i have ordered from re Shipment. I hope that i will receive my certificate now.
I have a question if i do not receive the certificate which number should i contact now because i don not want to stuck in the loop ?
Does oracle provide certificate through email i mean to say soft copy?
Please if any senior oracle member is looking into this please raise an issue so that other Forum member or people should not suffer like i have.

    Hi Vinod,
We understand that this is a frustrating process for some. It is also frustrating for us when candidates have to wait and wait for their certificates. By and large, the majority of certified individuals receive their certificates within the time frame posted on our website. However, there are some regions in which we have continuing issues with local mail systems, and the certificates have to be sent multiple times in order to be received. We are looking into supplementing printed kits with eCertificates. We are well aware of the issues and are working to try and solve some of the problems around certificate delivery.
In the mean time, while you await your printed certificate, if you need to verify your certification to anyone, you can do so through your CertView acccount. Go to certview.oracle.com and under the Certification Status tab, there is a tab to Publish Certification to 3rd Parties. It is a simple process that serves as official verification of your certification.
We are sorry that you and several others have had so much trouble with receiving your certificates and we are working to improve this process.

  • OCA Success kit still undelievered

i had taken oca admin i exam on 2 aug 13 and requested a hard copy on 5 aug and according to oracle(FAKE) corporation they said they had shipped it on 8 aug and it will take upto 6 weeks but after 6 weeks they said  it will take another 2 weeks ie 8 weeks from 8 aug but till now no kit delivered till date and now they are saying that order again with different address
and when i asked them to provide me the details of shipment they straightly denied because they had no even tried to deliever so how can they provide me the details
so i had decided not to take any further exams from oracle and suggest you too to do the same

I'm sure this has been very frustrating for you. However, I wanted to let you know that there are regions in which we have an extreme amount of difficulty in mail deliveries. We sometimes have to ship certificates to those regions repeatedly before they will get delivered properly. I can assure you that every requested certificate has been shipped via US mail, which is not trackable, so the team could not provide you with tracking information. Unfortunately, if you wish to receive a printed copy of your certificate, you will have to go through the request process again (which I know is maddening).
However, the good news is that you do have access to your certificate today through certview.oracle.com. You can download and print your certificate from CertView.

  • Select statement for Active Kit Indicator

    Hi All ,
I am using C_AKIn AS CHECKBOX as a check box for Active Kit indicator . If i won't chose then it will not check the condition but if the Active Kit indicator is selected, then Program shall check for the live Kits from the range of Material No. entered. The live Kit is the Material which is having Unrestricted Stock at Plant level (Table: MARD Field LABST) or Forecast at Plant level (Table PBIM Field BDZEI  Table PBED Field PLNMG) or both.
Forecast shall be considered for four periods (Current + 3 Months) in future, means if the Material having the forecast in current month + 3 months is to be considered as Active Material (Table PBED Field PDATU)
    Validation :-
1.MRP Type (Table MARC – Field DISMM) shall not be equal to ‘CS’ or ‘PE’
2.Current corrected forecast or any of the 3 future corrected forecasts not equal to zero.

    Hi,
    Try using IN stmt.
    SELECT MBLNR

    BUDAT
    XBLNR
FROM MKPF INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE ITMKPF
    WHERE BUDAT <b>IN</b> S_BUDAT.

    RameshThis doesn't make sense.
The certiifcate is is part of the success and is included in the envelop you wil have been sent to your postal address whcih would also contain a letter.
Three explanations come to my mind:-
    1) The certificate was missed from the succcess kit you were sent.
    2) You have a forged certiifcate,
    or
    3) You have mistaken the exam pass score report for a certiifcate.
Given your question at {thread:id:1088022} you do not understand the Oracle certification process. And I note no honourable mention of an SQL examiniation pass either. Therefore:
    - I am inclined to believe (3) is the case, that you have confused an examiniation pass with achieving the PL/SQL Certiifcation.
    ---- This has implications:
    - Be aware that you will have agreed to an NDA agreement saying you will not represent yourself as certified when you are not. You have certainly prepresented yourself as certifiied in this thread. If you are not actually certified ... but simply have an exam pass .. that misrepresentation can strictly speaking have implicatations.
    Please read: http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2010/03/0241.html
Please also study: http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=39 (getting started).
and View http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=141 and locate and drill down to the certifications you think you have achieved and that you aiming to achieve. Particularly note SQL exam requirements.

    Best regradsHi Bilel,
    - Part of the Non-disclosure agreement indicates you should not disclose your Oracle Testing Id. ..... posting it on this site makes it available for a very big proportion of the world population.
    - It is also IMHO unwise to publish personal details on the internet.
..... That said you appear not to have received your success kit.
...... I can understand Oracle may have had difficulties with postage to your part of the world this year .... I hope all is much settled and people have found peace.
....... That said your case is a success kit not received.
You appear to have raised multiple Oracle Requests ... there could be a danger some of these are getting in the way of each other.
Although my personal opinion is not that this forum should not become a fast track for Success Kit not received issues ... which has a procedure in place which should generally be effective, i can imagine your case may be a little special. From another post I understand it is usually the case a 3rd attempt to send a success kit is via a respected courier.
    #### The fact you have not recieved a response from Oracle may indicate an issue with you email or a spam filter ... and this may not be helping you.

  • Manually Add Songs One Selection at a Time?

I'd like to start by stating that my iPod Touch 3G and iTunes worked fine before yesterday...then I upgraded to the latest version of iTunes (10.6.40) and ios5.  This morning when I attempted to add music to my iPod, I had a problem.  My usual routine for adding music is as follows: (1) Remove approximately 5 - 10 gb of music from my iPod and (2) start adding music 3 or 4 albums at a time from my music library (via drag and drop).  During my routine this morning, I added my first selection of 6 albums (approximately 60 songs).  By the time I was ready to add my second selection (another 50 songs), the first selection was only about half-way done uploading to the iPod. In the past, I would just drag and drop the second selection. iTunes would accumulate the both selections (60 + 50 = 110 songs), and continue from where progress left off (halfway through the first selection, or 31 of 110 files).  However, after the updates, when I added the second selection, iTunes flashed "Preparing to Update" and started copying/transfering the second selection at the beginning (1 of 50), ignoring the second half of my first selection. I didn't notice that iTunes was doing this until about 20 minutes into updating my iPod.  I looked at the music on my iPod, and it was filled with half albums.  I have tried using different computers, restarting the computers, restarting the iPod, and restoring the iPod. None of these have worked.  I know it's a minor issue, but it's frustrating because managing music on the iPod for me is already a long, user-intensive process.  This new issue makes the process almost undoable.
I hope this makes sense.  I have tried multiple internet searches haven't really found anything close to this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here is yet another interesting (and related) problem that appears to be happening on both computers.  When I add a selection (say 20 songs), iTunes shows "Preparing to Update," then it flashes "Copying file 1 of 28." It consistently adds 8 more files than my selection.  It adds the 20 songs in my selection, then flashes the last eight songs, which appear to be songs that are already on my iPod.
Does this sound like a virus?

    Hello,
I am required to run "pass-through" Oracle SQL, to extract data from tables into SAS for processing and manipulation. My code (attached) reads and writes (executes) but with zero records to test first. I cannot get past the Prepare Error.

Thanks very much in advance for any assistance.

    Hello Again ,
Wish Oracle was a bit more informative. Am using a SAS Institute Product called Enterprise Guide. A "hot fix" was installed to address an issue that the product appears unable to save the latest version of edited code changes (hence " BETWEEN between" remaining even after a prior edit). In any case, with the change, am now receiving this error:
" ERROR: ORACLE prepare error: ORA-00904: "PHRMCY_CLM_FACT"."LAST_SRVC_DT": invalid identifier". (Log file appears below)
-The error remains, regardless of whether one uses "pass through" code to pass the date range to Oracle (which looks ok from the log output below I believe), or if I hard code the date range into the PL SQL query itself.
-The Prepare error always appears at end of the inner SELECT.
-The Prepare error remains, with or without the GROUP BY clause.
Is there anything else here I am missing? Someone suggested a reserve word - but from other ANSI SQL versions, I do not see that is the case. I have consulted SAS Tech Support and SAS List Serve at University of GA. but nothing definitive from these sources. Have requested facility to be able to run Oracle directly, outside this SAS Institute product - in process.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone very much.
    Jeff
