Selection screen framebox's width extension and select option position

Hi,
when i code the following, the select option multiple selection button falls outside the framebox. Is there any way to increase the frame's width or adjust the select option's button? Can I control the select options' distance between the text and input field, the distance between input field skstar10-low and skstar10-high, as well as the position of the word "to" (at the left of skstar10-high)?
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK C10_12 WITH FRAME.

Hi,
Try this
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK c10_12 WITH FRAME.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT (11) text-042 FOR FIELD skstar10.
SELECT-OPTIONS: skstar10 FOR cosp-kstar.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF LINE.
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT (11) text-043 FOR FIELD skstar11.
SELECT-OPTIONS: skstar11 FOR cosp-kstar.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF LINE.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK c10_12.

    hi,
Maximum size is fixed for selection-screen.
Split your text into different lines to fit it.
Create a text element for your text and write it as comments.

  • BEx web report selection screen entries retain when closing and opening the report again

    Hello all,
please help me in the below query.
Till last month the entries we made in BEx web report selection screen are retained in the selection screen even when we close the web report and open it again from portal without logging off. But recently this functionality is missing and the entries in selection screen are not remembered when we close and open the same report again. It is a good feature for the users. Have you come across this issue?

No...I think i can reframe the question very clearly......For ex:  we are opening a Bex Web report...so initally we would be prompted by the variable selection screen...in which we have to give the entries(Values) for those variables like Cal month, Sales org, Company code, etc.....Later on the report will get open based on the values we have given......
Now if we close the particular report without logging off then if i try to open the same report that selected values are missing.....earlier it used to remember the values we have given until we log off....But now that functionality is missing....It was very useful feature.....Can you please tel me what can be done to resolve this??
I hope the explanation would be clear now.

  • How to Change Color of White Selection Screen in BW 3.5 and Higher

Has anyone come up with a method to change the backround color of the BEX selection screen to the pervious blue (or alternative color).  The white backround much different than the old one and we would like to keep the transition after our upgrade to be a transparent as possible.

    Hi,
Custom Look and Feel can only be set at Site, Application, Responsibility, Server, or User level.
It cannot be set for a single page.
Therefore, if you want to keep the SWAN look and feel elsewhere but want to edit the Login Page only then one option is to utilize the .LoginBg style which is available on that page only.
So you can update swan-desktop.xss with the following
    <style selector=".LoginBg .FooterBottomBackground">
    <property name="background-image">url("/OA_HTML/cabo/images/swan/XXX.gif") !important</property>
    <property name="background-color">#000000</property>
    </style>
    <style selector=".LoginBg .p_OraSandGradient">
    <property name="background-image">url("/OA_HTML/cabo/images/swan/XXX.gif") !important</property>
    <property name="background-color">#000000</property>
    </style>
Make sure you delete your temporary internet files and clear cache files from /OA_HTML/cabo/styles/cache/swan... before refreshing your page to see changes. The above should remove the blue images and replace with black if applied correctly.
You can use any images or color you want, just replace the values above.
I would normally have advised making this change via personalization but Oracle has been changing some of the hard-coded styles recently so I think editing the swan-desktop.xss file directly would be your best bet in this specific example.

  • Selection-screen - add default value to multiple selection

    Hi,
How I can add a default value for multiple selection, on a Select-options?
    Thanks in advance,
    Brian Gonsales

By default, selection optoins are RANGES, therefore to fill these before display, in the INITIALIZATION section
      CLEAR: so_field, so_field[].
      so_field = 'IEQvalue'. append so_field.
      so_field = 'IEQvalue2'. append so_field.
      so_field = 'IEQvalue3'. append so_field.
    If you want ranges
      CLEAR: so_field, so_field[].
      so_field = 'IBT'. so_field-low = 'lowvalue'. so_field-high = 'highvalue' append so_field.

  • G770 first screen doesn't display F2 and F12 options

I would like to install a new OS on one of the partitions on my laptop and I have a live USB ready to go.
Problem is that the first screen you see when the laptop turns on will sometimes give you the option of changing boot order or entering the BIOS by pressing F2 or F12. But sometimes it won't give you these options.
As far as I can tell it's completely random, but most of the time the option isn't there.
Just to clarify the only difference between these screens is a little message in the corner that says "F2 - Boot menu F12 - Setup". Sometimes it's there, most of the time it isn't.
Has anyone else had this problem before?

    hi dassie,
Can you try tapping the f2 when the computer is Off the while you are taping start the computer but continue on tapping f2.
    -or-
Try pressing the One Key Recovery Button and see if there is an option for Setup utility or Enter Setup.
You can also try Removing the battery and AC then hold the power down for 10 Seconds then reconnect everything then try the F2 or F12.
    Hope this helps,

  • AT SELECTION-SCREEN - Urgent

Could anybody tell me what does the event( AT SELECTION-SCREEN ) only do ? I am asking only about AT SELECTION-SCREEN
                                                           Regards,
                                                           SAURAV  LAHIRY

    hI,
At selection-screen is the event of a report program in which we have to validate the selection screen fields.
    SELECTION SCREEN
Selection screens are special screens that are defined with the help of ABAP statements. As programmers do not have access to the flow logic of selection screens, they cannot define dialog modules for selection screens. The ABAP runtime environment fully controls the processing flow of selection screens. To allow programmers to modify the selection screen before it is called (PBO) and react to user actions on the selection screen (PAI), the ABAP runtime environment generates a number of special selection screen events before the selection screen is displayed and after the user has executed actions on the selection screen
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT
This event is executed at PBO of the selection screen every time the user presses ENTER - in contrast to INITIALIZATION . Therefore, this event is not suitable for setting selection screen default values. Also, since AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT is first executed after the variant is imported (if a variant is used) and after adopting any values specified under SUBMIT in the WITH clause, changing the report parameters or the selection options in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT would destroy the specified values.
Here, however, you can use LOOP AT SCREEN or MODIFY SCREEN to change the input/output attributes of selection screen fields.
    Example
SELECT-OPTIONS NAME FOR SY-REPID MODIF ID XYZ.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
    CHECK SCREEN-GROUP1 = 'XYZ'.
    SCREEN-INTENSIFIED = '1'.
    MODIFY SCREEN.
    ENDLOOP.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST
The event is triggered when the user calls the F4 help for the field field. If no corresponding event block has been defined, no possible values help or values list from the Dictionary is displayed. If a corresponding event block exists, it takes precedence over the default possible values help mechanism. It is then up to the programmer to ensure in the event block that an appropriate list of values is displayed, and that the user can choose a value from it.
No event block AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST can be created for input fields on the selection screen that are declared within the logical database used. You cannot override the input help mechanism of the logical database within the executable program. You can define separate help within the logical database program using the VALUE-REQUEST option in the PARAMETERS and SELECT-OPTIONSstatements.
    Example
    INCLUDE DBXYZSEL
    PARAMETERS PL_TYPE LIKE SAPLANE-PLANETYPE VALUE-REQUEST.
    REPORT SAPDBXYZ DEFINING DATABASE XYZ.
    TABLES SAPLANE.
    FORM PL_TYPE_VAL.
    CALL FUNCTION ...
    ENDFORM.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON HELP-REQUEST
If the data type of an input field declared in an executable program is defined in the ABAP Dictionary, the documentation of the underlying data element is automatically displayed if the user positions the cursor in that field and presses F1. To create help for input fields that have no Dictionary reference, or to override the help normally linked to the field, you can create an event block for the event
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON HELP-REQUEST FOR <field>
The event is triggered when the user calls the F1 help for the field <field>. If no corresponding event block has been defined, the help from the ABAP Dictionary is displayed, or none at all if the field has no Dictionary reference. If a corresponding event block exists, it takes precedence over the default help mechanism. It is then up to the programmer to ensure that appropriate help is displayed.
You cannot declare the event block AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON HELP-REQUEST for input fields on the selection screen that are declared within a logical database. You cannot override the help mechanism of a logical database within the program. You can define separate help within the logical database program using the HELP-REQUEST option in the PARAMETERS and SELECT-OPTIONS statements.
    REPORT SELECTION_SCREEN_F1_DEMO.
    PARAMETERS: P_CARR_1 TYPE S_CARR_ID,
    P_CARR_2 TYPE S_CARR_ID.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON HELP-REQUEST FOR P_CARR_2.
    CALL SCREEN 100 STARTING AT 10 5
    ENDING AT 60 10.
This program declares a selection screen with two parameters that both refer to the data element S_CARR_ID in the ABAP Dictionary. The documentation from the ABAP Dictionary is used for P_CARR_1, and a help screen 100 is called for P_CARR_2. The help screen is defined in the Screen Painter as a modal dialog box with next screen 0. It contains the help text defined as help texts. The screen does not require any flow logic.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON field
In the PAI event of the selection screen, the event
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON field
event is triggered. The input field field can be checked in the corresponding event block. If an error message occurs within this event block, the corresponding field is made ready for input again on the selection screen.
    Example:
    REPORT event_demo.
    NODES spfli.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON city_fr.
IF carrid-low EQ 'AA' AND city_fr NE 'NEW YORK'.
    MESSAGE e010(hb).
    ENDIF.
If the user enters “AA” in the first input field, but not NEW YORK for the departure city, an error message is displayed in the status line until the user enters the correct city.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON RADIOBUTTON
In the PAI event of the selection screen, the event
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON RADIOBUTTON GROUP <radi>
is triggered when the contents of all of the fields in a radio button group are passed from the selection screen to the ABAP program. To define a radio button group <radi>, use the addition RADIOBUTTON GROUP <radi> in the corresponding PARAMETERS statements. This event block allows you to check the whole group. If an error message occurs within this event block, the radio button group is made ready for input again on the selection screen. The individual fields of radio button groups do not trigger the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON <field>.
    REPORT EVENT_DEMO.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK B1 WITH FRAME.
    PARAMETERS: R1 RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD1 DEFAULT 'X',
    R2 RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD1,
    R3 RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD1.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK B1.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK B2 WITH FRAME.
    PARAMETERS: R4 RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD2 DEFAULT 'X',
    R5 RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD2,
    R6 RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD2.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK B2.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD1.
    IF R1 = 'X'.
    MESSAGE W040(HB).
    ENDIF.
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON RADIOBUTTON GROUP RAD2.
    IF R4 = 'X'.
    MESSAGE W040(HB).
    ENDIF.
If the user does not change one of the radio button groups, a warning is displayed.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON BLOCK
In the PAI event of the selection screen, the event
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON BLOCK <block>
is triggered when the contents of all of the fields in a block are passed from the selection screen to the ABAP program. You define a block by enclosing the declarations of the elements in the block between the statements SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK <block> and SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK <block>. You can use this event block to check the consistency of the input fields in the block. If an error message occurs within this event block, the fields in the block are made ready for input again on the selection screen.

    Chandra Sekhar.

  • Need to Increase the width of the selection screen

Existing scenario is that the selection screen contains 4 parameters in a row and
it has to be increased to 6.When i try to include the 2 parameters on the same row it
says that the max width is 79.I can try and reduce the width of each parameter but it
still cannot accomodate the 2 new parameters.
Can someone please give me some tips on how to go about it.

    Hi Naveen,
SAP has 80 columns max for display on the screen.
if u want to accomadate more than six parameter the reduce the visible length.
    example.
    SELECTION-SCREEN : BEGIN OF LINE.
    PARAMETERS : p_reg1 TYPE char20 VISIBLE LENGTH 12.
    PARAMETERS : p_reg2 TYPE char20 VISIBLE LENGTH 12.
    PARAMETERS : p_reg3 TYPE char20 VISIBLE LENGTH 12.
    PARAMETERS : p_reg4 TYPE char20 VISIBLE LENGTH 12.
    PARAMETERS : p_reg5 TYPE char20 VISIBLE LENGTH 12.
    PARAMETERS : p_reg6 TYPE char20 VISIBLE LENGTH 12.
    SELECTION-SCREEN :  END OF LINE.
also see to it that u dont cross the limit of 80 columns
    while writting the comments
    example
    SELECTION-SCREEN : <b>COMMENT 4(10)</b> text-006,
                     : POSITION 35.
    PARAMETERS       : p_sumrep RADIOBUTTON GROUP rad1 .
    SELECTION-SCREEN : <b>COMMENT 38(10</b>) text-048,

  • Hiding and then making select-options visible on the selection-screen

I've created a selection screen. On this i've got a field (pr_inpt) depending on whose value i have to display the rest select-options viz. (so_c1, so_n1, so_d1, so_t1) say ,
    1.)if (pr_inpt) contains value 'A' then display (so_c1 & so_d1)
    2.)if (pr_inpt) contains value 'B' then display (so_n1, so_d1 & so_t1)
To achieve it, in the initialization event, i looped at the screen and for all (so_c1, so_n1, so_d1, so_t1) i made screen-active = '0'. Due to this my objective to hide fields in the beginning is achieved.
Next when user is entering value into (pr_inpt), i am making screen-active = '1' at selection-screen output event, for those relevant select-options (say if A, then made active for so_c1 & so_d1) but my problem is that it is making all select-options (so_c1, so_n1, so_d1, so_t1) visible on the screen which i don't want.
How can i achieve this, also is it possible to change the label of the select-options while displaying.

    Hi,
I need to validate the selection screen data which is entered in tab strips.
I need help in writing the validation for the data as below:
If the MATERIAL (on tab1) is blank then the fields on tab2 are mandatory.
AND if the MATERIAL (on tab1) is blank then the fields on tab2 are NOT mandatory.
    The code is as follows
    REPORT  ztest123.
    TABLES kna1.
    TABLES : sscrfields, vbap.
    DATA  gv_activetab(6) TYPE c .
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 001 AS SUBSCREEN.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b1 WITH FRAME TITLE text-001.
    PARAMETERS p_matnr TYPE mara-matnr.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b1.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 001.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 002 AS SUBSCREEN.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK b2 WITH FRAME TITLE text-002.
    SELECT-OPTIONS:  so_kunnr  FOR kna1-kunnr NO INTERVALS NO-EXTENSION.
    SELECT-OPTIONS:  so_datum  FOR vbap-erdat NO-EXTENSION." DEFAULT sy-datum.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK b2.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 002.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF TABBED BLOCK tabb1 FOR 5 LINES.
    SELECTION-SCREEN TAB (15) tabs1 USER-COMMAND ucomm1 DEFAULT SCREEN 001.
    SELECTION-SCREEN TAB (15) tabs2 USER-COMMAND ucomm2.
    SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK tabb1.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN .
      CASE sscrfields-ucomm.
        WHEN 'UCOMM1'.
          tabb1-prog = sy-repid.
          tabb1-dynnr   = 001.
          tabb1-activetab = 'TABS1'.
          gv_activetab = 'TABS1' .
        WHEN 'UCOMM2'.
          tabb1-prog = sy-repid.
          tabb1-dynnr   = 002.
          tabb1-activetab = 'TABS2'.
          gv_activetab = 'TABS2'.
      ENDCASE.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      CASE gv_activetab.
        WHEN 'TABS1'.
          WRITE: 'Material ' .
        WHEN 'TABS2'.
          WRITE: 'Plant '.
      ENDCASE.

you have to do 2 things
    1) set fields mandatory
    IF p_matnr IS INITIAL.
        LOOP AT SCREEN.
          IF screen-name EQ 'SO_KUNNR-LOW'.
            screen-required = 1.
            MODIFY SCREEN.
          ENDIF.
        ENDLOOP.
      ENDIF.
    2) ensure the program is not run without a value, because the point 1 will be done only if user goes through tabstrip 2
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN .
      IF sscrfields-ucomm EQ 'ONLI'.
        IF p_matnr IS INITIAL.
          IF so_kunnr-low IS INITIAL.
            sscrfields-ucomm = 'UCOMM2'.
          ENDIF.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
      CASE sscrfields-ucomm.
        WHEN 'UCOMM1'.
