Selection texts while transporting

When a program is created and need to be transported to prodn , does selection texts always go with it?

It depends on how you have created a transport request. if you have created a transport request for
R3TR PROG ZXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Then it would move all the objects such as texts, screens, text elements, selection texts etc.
If you have created the transport request only as
R3TR REPS ZXXXXXXXXXXX
then it will only transport the source code and not the dependent objects. Hope it is clear.

When you transport you report, all the Text Elements i.e. Title and Headers, Selection Texts and Text Symbols also get transported along with your report.
You need not do explicitly.

Mac Selects Text *While* I'm Typing User Password

This is seriously one of the most infuriating things my laptop has decided to do.
Every time I go to type in my password to sign into my mac, my user password, it goes back and reselects the field while I'm typing. The effect is that when I continue typing (as I type my password quickly), the selected portion of text is replaced with whatever my next keystroke is. Essentially, I begin typing my password, my computer selects the text and then replaces the first half of the password with my next keystroke and only half of the password gets entered. It doesn't matter how long I wait or if I select the field intentionally first (though it's always selected so I can begin typing upon opening my mac), the effect is the same. The first time I enter my password, the computer selects the field halfway through, erases the first half, and I enter the password "wrong" and must enter it a second time.
How in the WORLD do I make this stop?

The problem happens both when I log in and/or when I enter the password from my screensaver. Typically, I notice the problem when I am entering the password for my MacBook Pro from the screensaver. Most of the time, the MBP is not connected to anything except my wifi network. I kick in the screensaver when I leave my desk, and I enter my password when I get back.
Yesterday, I noticed the same problem on my MacMini Server. In that case, I screenshared into the MacMini with iTeleport on my iPhone with no problem. When I entered the password to log in from the Login Window with the admin password for the MacMini, the (hidden) letters kept being selected after typing a few, which results in me deleting my previously typed characters as I continue typing. In that case, since I am physically using my iPhone, there is no local admin password.

Help - JEditorPane drag selected text behavior/problem

I'm working at adding new functionality to the JEditorPane. Everything was going ok, but I noticed this interesting behavior that hopefully there is a solution to.
When you select some text in the JEditorPane with the mouse and then drag the selected text to another location, the text moves just fine. However, depeding on when you drag the text, something interesting happens.
Here is the senerio. While the text is already selected you noticed the cursor blinking.
(1) If you drag the selected text while the blinking cursor IS visible, the cursor will continue to blink after you drag the text to its destination.
(2) If you drag the selected text while the blinking cursor IS NOT visible, the cursor will be invisible after you drag the text to its destination.
So (2) is really the problem. The only way I've been able to get the cursor to start blinking again is to issue a cut, copy or paste method from the JEditorPane object.
Has anyone else found this problem and maybe a solution to it. I've disabled all the extra stuff I extended on the JEditorPane class, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

There are several approaches. You can add FocusListener to the drop target or drag source and put your code in focusGained() or focusLost() accordingly.
Another way is to return focus to the drag source if DnD failed as you tried. First check whether mouseReleased(0 is invoked. If it's invoked try to put your code into SwingUtilities.invokeLater()

Error During Activation while activating Report Selection Texts

Hi,
I've developed a report and the Transport Request for the Report has been migrated to Quality and Production Systems. Now, I have to make some more changes where I had to create another request.
Now, while activating the Selection Texts for the Report under the New Transport Request, it gives me an error message saying "Error During Activation". Could somebody tell me the reason and resolution for this error?

Hi ,
Try activating it through se80 , as it activates the complete object .
In inactive head , with your user id see all the inactive object , may be there you can find the program , or the texts . Activate and see.

Adding Selection Texts to the transport request

Dear All,
1) I want to transport only "text elements" ( SE38->Text Elements) of an ABAP program. I am unable find how can I include this in a transport number. ( The other objects went safely to my quality system except this selection texts.)

Unfortunately it did not ask me any request number.
My previous 1st transport failed in quality system and I created another request which went success to Quality system. As I thought I included all objects in the second request I directly used to transport to production. Transport was success but is is lack of texts ans selection screen texts.
Today is not very good day so far..

Thanks for the info. I had added manually "Report Texts". I hope this includes both "Text Symbos" and "Selection Texts".
Do you see any problem here by adding manually?

Not able to transport selection texts in the program to QAS!

I have a query program that is created from SAP standard program and when I moved the program to QAS the program moved fine but selection texts are not moving! I created a seperate transport for those but still not able to!! Could anyone please give me any information?

In a seperate transport add only the object type of selection text and add your selection test objects in se03->Object direct entries -> Change object direct entries.

Assigning multi-language selection texts to a transport

Currently I am trying to add new languages to selection texts for custom abaps. To add the selection texts I am using the following steps:
Go into Tcode SE38.
Enter the program name, select Text Elements and click the Change button.
Go to the Selection texts tab.
In the menu, click on Goto --> "Translation"
When the popup appears, enter the translation language.
Expand the worklist until you get to the Text elements for the program.
Double click on the program line and then enter the new values.
I am able to exit at this point and the changes get saved. The problem is that by default they are saved to the $TMP development class. What is the best way to assign these to a transportable development class and then on to a transport?

First, see Replace Your Preferences and do it for the original account.
If that fails to solve the problem, rename the two Adobe folders that contain the prefs in the user profile for that account and copy the folders from the new account where it works. You want to be sure you copy the folders, rather than merge the contents, so you must rename the old folders first.

TRANSPORTING SELECTION TEXTS

Am working on a programme and i need this to be transferred to quality system.Can anybody tell me that the selection texts of this programme will be transported along with it or do i need to follow any separate procedure to transport selection texts...

if you are creating selection texts for the first time for your program it asks for the request number,
give your earlier request number that you created for your program.
if you are Transporting your program from DEV -
> Quality,program will takes selection texts.
suppose if your program already transported,now you are trying to create selecetion texts,you need to create separate TR for that and transport it seperately...

System wide jerky scrolling and delay while typing and selecting text

Hi,
I'm new to Mac (first laptop) and I'm noticing just now that the system response feels very low. There's a significant delay when showing characters after typing as well as selecting text, and jerkiness when scrolling anything, from Finder window contents to Safari web pages.
I take care of not installing suspicious software, I use a limited account for daily taks and haven't installed anything lately. Processor usage is as low as ever. Plenty of memory is free (4GB installed) and free disk space is enough (66 GB).
What is happening? Not even Windows behaved like this!
Please help!!!!

I had installed 10.5.8 and it's kind of iffy with file permissions...
The system-wide jerkiness went away with a reboot, but the Safari jerkiness I could attribute to specially heavy surfing I never did before on that day.
I'm accustomed to my Mac working speedy all the time and because of that I can be unforgiving, and it's wrong. I would never complain of jerkiness on my XP PC when opening 30+ browser instances and 100+ tabs in total because I know XP can't handle it, but that was the kind of thing I threw at Safari. And the experienced jerkiness wasn't even on all pages, just a few.

I am getting following error while transporting export DataSource to quality system.
Start of the after-import method RS_TRFN_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) TRFN (Activation Mode)
No rule exists
Source RSDS 8ZRF_O01 LOGDBQ151 does not exist
Start of the after-import method RS_DTPA_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) DTPA (Activation Mode)
Transformation does not exist (see long text)
Although, the request is failing, I can see the DataSource 8ZRF_O01 present in the QA system. Only the transformation is set inactive.

might be your data source not collected into transport request.
If you are moving data source from once system to other system, this may missed.
RSA1->Transport connection>all objects>Datasource --> Select your data source as only neecessary to move
When ever we are moving objects from one system to other follow below are order to avoid failures
1).New Infoobjects.
2). Data source/Infosource
3). Info Providers ( Cube/DSo)
4). Update rules/Transformation
5).Impacted objects and other

How to create the request for change of selection text into other language.

In my object requirement is that when login through Japanese language, then on selection screen selection text should appear in Japanese language. For that I have maintained the text in Japanese language the program where we define the selection text there from translation I have maintained the text in Japanese but while maintain the text it didn't ask me for REQUEST, because of that I am not able to transport the changes to next system, so I want know how to create the request for this case.

Hello Chetan,
You could goto the selection screen texts by goto-> selection texts,
Then you could again goto -> Translation
or
Other-> Translation(Not sure )
Then double click on the Program you should be able to see the Texts that need translation, now change something save and come back and try to activate, now it should propose for a new Transport Request.
Either create a new transaport request or give one that you have given for the program.
Hope the issue is resolved.

Error while Transporting Request

Hi All,
we have ECC 6.0 on Unix environment.
we had copied a production client with group selection, as we wanted all the three system PRD,DEV,QLT in sync.
the export was succesfully done.i copied Cofiles & Datafiles which are generated in DEV & Quality server,then i add request no in transport queue. the time when i copied transport request was not releasing from development.we checked the destination it was full so we removed the old request. then req is releasing.
after that i deleted the Cofile & datafile from OS level of DEV & QLT & trying to delete the reques from request queue. it is deleted but when im refreshing the queue its coming back in the queue.
while transporting other request its giving me error.
please help out me.

I am transporting a DSO from DEV to QA in 7.0 system.While transporting the DSO, i am getting the below mentioned error.

Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts

Error when activating DataStore Object APMD0009
The transport request contains just the DSO and not the Export datsource.I have also tried exporting both together still it failed.
I have referred OSS note No.597326 for the same.But it didnt helped in resolving the issue.
Can anyone please help me out with this problem.

jus check some points in u r transportation.
check the collection mode,grouping option - whether it is in dataflow before and after ,in data flow after,or in data flow before ,might be u have selected the in data flow before ,so the datasource error is happening here
check the datasource is from the same sap system or non sap system ,might be the system is having the password .so these are the problems check out and let me know the status of it and if it is solved by other means let me know
